Just a wonderful dining experience. We've been here twice now this last month, and both times, we had such a great time. Our service was so personable and attentive. The dining area is open, white tablecloths, a pleasant Bar that seats about 8, and is a nice option if ya can't get a reservation. You'll definitely need one here, and there's a reason for that. Our favorite were the, (steamed) Duroc pork soup dumplings, but the fried veggie dumplings were also very tasty. Both times we grabbed a bottle of Malbec that surprisingly paired nicely with our meal. The chicken fried rice was delicious, but be careful with that spicy cucumber salad...they mean what they say! Love the white tablecloths too, so come on people, dress yourselves up a tad would ya? Oh, and parking can be a bit of a challenge, as there's only about 8 spots in front, so you may need to park on the streets nearby. Nice job Teddy!

Five stars was not enough! Our waitress was Liza and she was kind went over the menu with us and gave great recommendations. We ordered the spicy cucumber salad, chicken celery and carrot dumplings fried, Pork wontons in hot oil, Mongolian beef and chicken fried rice. With a glass of Pinot Noir and Sapporo beer our lunch was absolutely perfect.

Had to go to Ft Worth. Wanted a nice place and good food. Teddy Wongs was awesome! Explained the menu and size of servings. Waitress checked to ensure things were good. Very pleasant and sweet. Ray got 1/2 duck I got orange chicken. We split fried rice and egg rolls.

The shrimp balls were the best thinks ever! The shrimp and beef were good but a little spicy. Drinks were good. Our waitress Darby was beyond amazing! She recommended so many things and was so helpful. We will be back and maybe know exactly what to order next time.

Google
TLDR: dim sum of pretty decent though limited options, otherwise it's mostly American Chinese food. Came for dinner with friends. Seems like a very trendy place, tight quarters, young crowd. Ordered the egg rolls and crab and pork XLB. Egg rolls were pretty decent and I think one of the cheapest items on the menu. The crab and pork soup dumplings were very tasty and full of umami. They didn't come with any spoons so we basically one shotted these. The Chinese mustard that came with the egg rolls was really good with a nice horseradish kick to it. The waitress was nice enough to bring a few to go cups for when our meal was over. Onto the mains. I ordered the mapo tofu and my wife ordered the sesame chicken. Mapo tofu was really good, on the borderline of being almost chemical tasting but didn't cross it. Wife enjoyed her sesame chicken but noted it was fairly standard. Our friends had the Mongolian beef, fried rice, and orange chicken. All and all, the dim sum was enjoyable, mapo tofu was proper numby, american Chinese dishes were pretty safe options.

Typically, when selecting a restaurant, a person has a preconceived expectation of what the food should taste like. Rarely does the food exceed that expectation, but Teddy Wong’s does!! I LOVE dumplings and am a very harsh critic when it comes to, well, everything. The vegetable and brisket dumplings are masterpieces. I prefer mine pan-fried, and they were picture-perfect!!! The taste made me want to order another serving. I also had the sesame chicken with fried rice. It was so delicious that I ordered another serving of takeaway for dinner. Their prices are very reasonable as well. My total for my meal for a diet coke, tea, spicey cucumber salad, brisket dumplings, vegetable dumplings, two orders of fried rice, and two orders of sesame chicken was only $106.00!! What a steal! Run, don't walk to have your next meal here! I strongly recommend making reservations.

Loved this place. Got the fried rice, carrots were so fresh and bbq pork excellent. Tried pork and chive, vegetable, and Chili oil steamed dumplings. Great service, good beer and wine choices.

I’ve never had a visit that wasn’t great. Food is always amazing, consistent in flavors and taste. Staff are friendly, patient & knowledgeable of the menu. Haven’t had an item we didn’t absolutely love. Hot oil wontons are a must order every visit! They also have good HH deals. Location is easy to find, very nice inside. I recommend often to family, friends & in online foodie groups. Grab a seat at the bar if you’re dining solo or meet a group of friends and order up the menu to try it all. You won’t be disappointed

Yelp
Teddy Wong's is a must-visit for delicious Chinese cuisine, whether you're dining in or grabbing takeout. Their fried rice and dumplings are some of the best around! The only classic dish they don't offer is Lo Mein--but if they did, I'm sure it would be just as outstanding. This was my first time dining at Teddy Wong's, and both of us in my party were vegetarian. We started with the veggie spring rolls and pan-fried scallion pancakes. While the spring rolls were decent, they weren't particularly memorable, and I'd probably skip them next time. The scallion pancakes, on the other hand, were excellent--crispy, flavorful, and a great appetizer. That said, I do wish both dishes had arrived hotter; they were lukewarm rather than fresh out of the kitchen. Typically, spring rolls come straight from the fryer piping hot, but that wasn't the case here. For our main dishes, we ordered veggie dumplings, General Tso's tofu, and traditional fried rice. We requested everything to be spicy, and while they did turn up the heat more than usual, we could have handled even more spice. We had also heard rave reviews about the hot oil wontons, but unfortunately, they weren't vegetarian. However, the restaurant kindly brought us a side of their hot oil to try, which paired beautifully with the scallion pancakes, dumplings, and fried rice. To end the meal, we indulged in the chocolate dumplings with raspberry sauce, which were absolutely delicious! I highly recommend finishing your meal with them. A word of advice--be sure to make a reservation in advance, as this place gets packed! Overall, Teddy Wong's delivers fantastic flavors and great service, and I'll definitely be returning.

Yelp
This place is very nice and you do need a reservation as it's not very big. The atmosphere is clean and fun ! The food is always delicious and I like to try something different every time. We originally started with BBQ Pork Belly but it was a little inconsistent. One piece you could cut with a fork and the next was like beef jerky so we asked for shrimp balls instead. Our server was nice and accommodating! I tried Peking Duck for the first time and my mom had orange chicken and we shared some fried rice. The Duck came with cucumber, green onions and special sauce to make tacos with a round flat style of dumpling or something. We definitely enjoyed our food and we will be back for more !

Yelp
Always Excellent Dumplings and Wine Exceptional Service A fun, jazzy vibe/atmosphere One of my favorite spots in Ft. Worth

Yelp
So I had a takeout order on a Friday night and appeared fairly busy but not insane. The staff was very friendly and helpful in making sure I got my order which I really appreciated. The patrons there seemed to be enjoying themselves and ambiance seemed decent. I had the orange chicken which I normally love, but I thought it was all around lacking. I was also shocked that it didn't come with rice. I've never experienced that. I would choose several other places before choosing this one based on food and flavors. I can say the portions were fair. I read so many reviews and really had high expectations which weren't even closely met.

Yelp
I finally got the chance to try this restaurant for a late valentines dinner and I was definitely missing out to say the least! The service was spectacular, great recommendations for my fiancé and I who are not big wine drinkers. We ordered the scallion pancakes, wagyu dumplings , veggie dumplings, hot oil wontons, chicken celery and carrot wontons, and brisket dumplings! Then the chocolate dumplings for dessert. My personal favorite were the wagyu dumplings that were so good we ordered more! Awesome dining experience!

Yelp
We had a delicious meal here as a family when I stumbled into a last minute reservation on Resy. I've been wanting to come here for a while and it did not disappoint! We started with the Pork soup dumplings and they were so good my husband got more for his meal. We also tried the chicken and celery dumplings so my son would try them, and they were also delicious. My son and I got sesame chicken to split with some steamed rice and it was really good and good portions that we even brought some home. It's also a wine bar so would be a great option for wine lovers too. Service was great, food was excellent, and I loved the Western decor. We will definitely be back soon I hope!

Yelp
Food- Always good! Service- Vivian was such a great server. Suggested menu items, checked in with us often without hovering. Ambiance- It's nice & intimate. Great for solo dining at the bar , a date/girls night out or a group, as they have tables that can accommodate. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
I've heard so many good things about Teddy Wongs- both through conversation with friends and Yelp- and it lived up to the hype! We ordered the scallion pancakes, pork xiao long bao (soup dumplings), and the lemon pepper udon. The udon stir fry is typically served with shrimp and pork, but we updated the pork to beef and it did not dissapoint! The dumplings were great, the wrapper was super soft and the soup filling was delicious. The udon was the standout dish for me, I was almost surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Our server and hostess were both super friendly and and attentive. The atmosphere was lively on a Saturday afternoon, and while we were able to get seated immediately, our hostess mentioned they were super booked with reservations. I will definitely be back here in the future!

Sydni L.

Yelp
Food was amazing. I didn't enjoy the lobster or veggie dumplings but they were not bad. My gf liked the lobster so I think it was just my taste. Service was amazing. Chandler was great and super accommodating and sweet. We had the perfect table/booth in a corner. I liked that and other than the people chatter it was not loud with music or anything. The wagu, pork soup, chicken and celery, hot oil and pork and mushroom dumplings were great. We didn't try any of the mains or appetizers bc we were there for the dumplings but I'm sure they are great since almost everything else was. The wine glasses were comically large which was just a fun touch. Would def go again

Yelp
We've been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm glad we finally did. We sat at the bar where we had a choice of wine, beer or sake. We started with the pork belly, crispy shrimp and egg rolls which were great. Then we had the Peking duck and the soup dumplings stuffed with pork and crab. The flavors on both were absolutely delicious. We finished with the chocolate dumplings which was like a melted chocolate explosion, and the raspberry sauce was awesome. Our server was nice and knowledgeable, have good recommendations. We came on a Friday afternoon it was fairly busy and had nice chill atmosphere. We will be back to try some other things on the menu.

Yelp
Teddy Wong's has... Tremendously Eatable Delightfully Delectable Yummy Wonderfully Outstanding Neat Go-to Scrumptious ... Dumplings that Fort Worth locals and visitors need to try! I've been there twice now and twice I have wanted to keep eating, eating and eating dumplings ;D Seriously, it's hard to stop because the flavors, textures and experience is that great! What to order? Anything and everything! But definitely order the Pork Soup Dumplings and the Hot Oil Wontons. They are AHHH-MAZIIIING! Pro tip: save the Hot Oil Wonton sauce after you finish the dish so you can dip more of your dumplings in it. How's the service? They are a staff that are full of personality who want you to have the best time! On top of their standout attitudes they are super recommenders, servers and teammates to one another. How's the ambiance? They stuff quite a bit of tables in but it's because the demand is so high! I'd love to see them expand to a bigger location or open up another location. Give the people what they want... more Teddy Wongs Dumplings!!! Would you go back? I'd happily go back once a week :D

Yelp
Great atmosphere! Sat at the bar and the bartenders were very knowledgeable and friendly! Had the soup dumplings (Duroc Pork XLB) and they were so flavorful!!

Yelp
If you're searching for a standout Chinese dining experience in Fort Worth, look no further than Teddy Wongs!! Despite its unassuming exterior and the gentrified area it's located in, this hidden gem delivers an extraordinary meal that will leave you eager to return. We started our culinary journey with two appetizers: the spicy cucumber and the spicy wontons. Both dishes were bursting with flavor and set the perfect tone for what was to come. The wontons, in particular, were a perfect blend of spice and savory goodness. For our main entrees, we opted for the Mongolian beef and the green beans with added chicken. The Mongolian beef was tender, juicy, and packed with rich flavors, while the green beans were fresh and crisp, beautifully complemented by the perfectly cooked chicken. Each bite was better than the last, showcasing the restaurant's masterful balance of flavors and textures. To round off our meal, we indulged in the chocolate dumplings for dessert. It was an unexpected delight--rich, decadent, and the perfect sweet ending to our meal. What truly set the experience apart, though, was the outstanding service. Our server was incredibly knowledgeable, making excellent recommendations that truly enhanced our dining experience. While the parking situation leaves something to be desired, and the exterior may give you pause, do not let that deter you. This restaurant is a culinary treasure, easily one of the best Chinese restaurants we've ever had the pleasure of dining at--and we've traveled extensively across the globe. Highly recommend!

Yelp
A pleasant surprise for the Fort Worth dining scene. Restaurant is not super large but has a good atmosphere, would highly recommend reservations for the evening. We were seated by the hostess around 445pm on a Sunday, they had reservations within the hour so we had to eat quickly but it wasn't a big deal. We ordered, Egg Rolls, Spicy Wontons, Crab Rangoons, Orange Chicken, Special Udon Noodles. Appetizers: All fried to perfection, the wasabi mustard was intense but good. Crab Rangoon flavor was nice. Spicy wontons...these were a hit. Not as spicy of a chilli oil as some other Szechuan spots but still good. Mains - Wow. Orange chicken was amazing. Fried perfectly and not too much batter. Sauce has a nice Spicy kick along with a distinct orange flavor. Udon noodles with beef and shrimp. Really well executed beef, and shrimp was cooked well, not over done. Noodles themselves were also good. Sauce was nice. Service was quick and attentive. Highly recommended.

Yelp
What a delicious spot in one of the up and coming parts of fort worth. The service was great. Make sure you have a reservation though. It's always busy and the bar area is small.

Holly T.

Yelp
We can't stop coming here once we finally checked it out. The 5 dollar rose and Mongolian Beef are my go tos. We have tried other entrees and they are all good that's just the one thats our favorite. The hot oil dumplings are our favorite dumplings and the veggie egg rolls are really good. Be sure to make a reservation as they stay busy!

Heidi M.

Yelp
I was supposed to meet a friend here for lunch tomorrow. I checked YELP, and saw pretty good reviews. Then I checked the menu. When Asian restaurants charge me $2.00 for steamed rice, when rice should come with every meal, it reeks of desperation. Or greed. Either way, we are going elsewhere to eat tomorrow. With thousands of restaurants in this area I can afford to stick to my principles.

Sara B.

Yelp
I like the ambience of the restaurant. I don't drink wine but I'm sure wine drinkers would love it. Note the parking area is quite small I think there are 6/7 spots out front and I don't know where else you're allowed to park. We got the Wok orange chicken dish as a shareable and an order of dumplings. The orange chicken was super good and more of a dark orange chicken and we did extra spicy. We would return for the wok dishes to try the others like the Mongolian. I wouldn't return for the dumplings, not saying the dumplings weren't good. But for the price, not my thing. I could go to HMart in Carrollton and get dumplings about 9-12 of them for the same price. But if you enjoy the experience of this place, a pricey 3-4 dumplings isn't a big deal.

Natalie T.

Yelp
Book your reservation! We have frequented Teddy Wongs on multiple occasions and have not been disappointed. Really great option added to the Fort Worth food scene and love dining here with our friends and family. I docked Teddy Wongs one star due to the fact that the food consistently comes out at different times. We understand this practice is due to the high heat and quick cooking techniques but it would be more enjoyable if ALL appetizers would be delivered at the same time. . . followed by all main course dishes be delivered at one time. Instead they unfortunately just bring items out as they're cooked, which are most of the time out of order. If they could work on the delivery of the dishes ordered, my rating would change to a perfect 5-stars. I highly suggest making a couple of future reservations, you'll be delighted to dine here. Parking can be scarce so show up with plenty of time, prior to your reservation, to find parking-- should their small parking lot be full.

Gracie L.

Yelp
The place is very nice. Service was good. But when you can't get the Tea right, like come on. It was super light. The soup dumplings definitely were not all that. The soup that was in it tasted like chicken broth. The noodle part was a bit sticky as well. $12 for 4 not very tasty dumplings was a bit high. The orange chicken had a great flavor and the crust in it was just the right amount. White rice had a very strong jasmine flavor. Parking is very tight!

Sabrina S.

Yelp
Wow... was so excited to try this place and was very let down. Called in to place my to go order - ordered the tofu rice without egg (BECAUSE IM VEGAN) only to get home and find out they did not remove the egg. Now the only thing I have to eat is my veggie egg rolls, which are okay, but nothing to brag about. My friend got the orange chicken and said it was good, but the orange peel that was left as garnish should've been removed (who wants to chew on orange peel throughout their meal). Always make sure to check your order. May try again in the future, but only if I eat there. Wouldn't order to go again.

Kenneth F.

Yelp
Wow... amazing. The best Asian I have had in DFW. Hard to get into but worth the wait. Service was also on point

Sutona S.

Yelp
I've only been once and am already In love. When moving to the area I was nervous about finding good Chinese but Teddy Wong made me a believer. Everything we had except the rice was a 10/10 Best shrimp Balls & Crab Rangoon I've had in a very long time. + our server was super knowledgeable about wine and suggested a really great bottle that paired well. I'll be back!

Georgette M.

Yelp
I've been to Teddy Wongs several times and it is the perfect place to catch up with friends. $5 all day Rosè & $2 off their dumplings (M-F; 2pm-5pm). The cucumber salad is great to share and a phenomenal starter. We ordered the half Peking Duck w/ a side of rice. The duck was wonderful and paired well with a side of rice. Ordered several dumplings: mushroom & pork, shrimp & pork, and hot oil wontons. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu and made great suggestions. Medium-level noise, wonderful wine selections, and casual atmosphere to catch up with friends

Citygirl ..

Yelp
Great food and service. Vegetarian dishes were accommodated. Gave a nyc speakeasy dumpling spot vibe :) The bar area could use a bit of TLC. Not a big fan of the location and parking but the food made up for it for now.

James D.

Yelp
Hands down five stars for sure. Get a reservation if at all possible because this place will be packed on the weekend. Misha was our server and was great, she walked us through the menu, her favorites, and steered us so we stayed between the lines. She was attentive and really made it an enjoyable evening. We started off with the crab rangoon which was a fairly standard item and good. Then we moved to the wagyu pot stickers, my absolute favorite of the night and a must try, the pork and shrimp soup dumplings- not to be missed, and then the hot oil wontons, also a tasty treat. Everything is served family style and our table had a lazy Susan so made it quite easy to share between our group of 5. All those "starters" were really good and they're appropriately portioned so that you can get multiple things and still not fill up. For our mains we got the Mongolian beef (fantastic), General Tso's )not pictured but also really good), Udon noodles which were an off menu item and recommended by Misha... and last but not least, my favorite main which was the surf and turf fried rice. Damn, everything there is good and it comes out quick, despite the place being full. If you're in to dim sum, dumplings, and Chinese food in general this is an absolute must in Fort Worth. Top notch!

Teresa B.

Yelp
Samantha was amazing! Thank you for all the suggestions and the awesome service!! Mongolian beef was hands down the best dish!! Definitely will be back!!

Dale S.

Yelp
Another terrific lunch at TW. We thoroughly enjoyed the Won Tons in hot chile oil but the stars of the show today were the fried Shrimp and Cilantro dumplings. I might just do eight of these for my lunch entree next visit! LOL. We shared as our entree today the Mongolian Beef with a side of fried rice. Once again, delicious. It was not at all spicy but we turned up the heat ourselves with the chile oil condiment on the table. Check out the pic of the portion left over after we both stuffed ourselves! We so enjoy this TW's.

Yelp
I took my son for his first visit to Teddy Wongs and we had a disappointing experience. I had been a few times before and had had nothing but very good meals here before. But today was confusing. We placed our order of two hot and sour soups (with wontons) , an order of crab rangoon and two orders of orange chickens w one steamed rice. We also ordered teas since nobody had asked to take our drink order yet. Within a few minutes a gentleman delivered an orange chicken. We have nothing else but silverware and water on our table. Ok. We ordered two orange chickens. Let's see what happens. But , next to come out a few minutes later is the crab rangoon. Ok. We eat the rangoons while trying to get to figure out whose orange chicken has been delivered and whose is still being made. Next out is one iced tea. I ask about the soup. It's still being made. I ask about plates to eat the order of orange chicken that's been sitting on our table for over five minutes. Out comes the steamed rice. Then comes the other orange chicken .... is it not weird when two people order the same entree but one person gets their order 10 minutes before the other person ? I ask about the soup. We're waiting on the wontons. We still down an iced tea. We remind. Our waitress made a comment questioning whether we had each ordered an iced tea. We both had. The soup arrived 10 minutes later. We were most of the way finished with our orange chicken. The crab rangoons we had hoped to enjoy with the soup had been gone for twenty minutes. One of the orange chicken orders (the one that came out second) was noticeably warmer than the one that sat on our table getting cold while we were waiting for the rest of our food. The food tasted great. I wish the orange chicken was hot. The soup was hot and delicious. and the rangoons were tasty. The wontons on the soup were really nice. I liked the taste of my food enough to return without question. But our meal was served in a completely disordered way that did not allow for an enjoyable dining experience. They did offer to strike the soup from the bill, but it was difficult to understand how things had gotten so backwards in terms of how we were served.

Yelp
Maybe this is my new favorite restaurant...? First of all... gluten free dumplings. 2 options! Shrimp and lobster. And they're soooo good, how exciting is that (for me)?!? It's rare to find gluten free Chinese food because most traditional sauces have wheat in them, so I was extremely happy to see that Teddy Wong's has a gluten free menu. I recently had the spicy cucumber as an appetizer, so crunchy and delicious, and then shrimp dumplings and kung pao chicken with steamed rice. Everything was excellent -- really well seasoned, great spice, and served in generous portions that are perfect for sharing. Meanwhile, this is a wine bar?! Yep, and their wine menu is stellar. They have a beautiful selection of boutique wines available by the bottle or a 3 or 6 ounce pour. Feel free to ask for recommendations for pairing wine with dumplings! The restaurant itself is pretty casual but also intimate, cute, and cozy. It'd be perfect for a date night but it's also casual enough for whatever!

VeeJay C.

Yelp
Seems like a nice place to have a meal. Gives off hip yet comfortable and cozy vibes. Staff seem cool which adds to the laid back atmosphere. The food tastes pretty good. Obviously the star of the show is the dumplings and or shumai and for these I think freshness is key. Things really do taste like they were made fresh in house with real and probably fairly decent quality ingredients. The rest of the offerings are pretty mid in my opinion. That being said... The value (or lack there of) is what made me feel as though I am in no rush to eat there again any time soon. I did takeout for the family and we dropped over $100 and when we got it home, it just felt lacking. Like all those dumplings and shumais add up especially when they range from a few dollars to $8 a piece (not an order, per piece) for what is essentially one bite of food. I wouldn't skip over this place necessarily but if you are trying to stay in budget and want decent return on your spending, skip this one for now and come back when you're feeling either less hungry or more wealthy or both.

Kelsey A.

Yelp
I really enjoyed dining here! We ordered the hot and sour soup, hot chili wontons, 1/2 Peking Duck, Sesame Chicken, Chicken Fried Rice, beer, and wine. The wine list is extensive but not overwhelming. I love they offer 3oz pours here too! It makes trying a new wine less intimidating. All of the food was piping hot and freshly made. My only qualm is that the hot and sour soup seems to be overpriced. $8 for a cup of soup? It should be more like $4. Service was excellent. Andrea waited on us, and she was great. We asked for recommendations and suggestions and she had lots to give us. I will say, make reservations. We didn't, and it was sort of a fluke that they were able to sit us. I do wish a full bar was available as far as beverages go. And if you order a soft drink, it comes in a can. The bathroom situation also needs addressing. There are only 2 single person stalls and there seemed to be a line to use either the entire time we were there. All in all, I'd definitely recommend this place!

Matt L.

Yelp
Got the sickest I have ever been after eating out Started within about 30 minutes of leaving. I've never had vomiting like that from food. Pain, and other stuff... I get it, it happens. Nobody can be perfect and It is always a possibility at any restaurant, but darn it was bad. Aside from that, food and service were great. My party was quite impressed by the value. I'd love to go back, but it will take some time to get over the memory of that sickness.

Ava R.

Yelp
Met friends for dinner and I almost zoomed by the restaurant. It's a converted gas station with a small parking lot . Once inside, the decor is nice although very cozy so reservations are necessary. Jessie was our server and on top of being easy on the eyes, he was very informative about menu selections. I ordered hot and sour soup ( which was just ok), bok choy ( just ok) and cod. I enjoyed the cod most hence me failing to take a picture but my favorite dish was a seasonal dumpling ( can't recall the name but included in pics) that stole the show! Overall, I was able to give the restaurant a try but personally don't see myself returning due to portion size and cost. Let's just say that I've been spoiled by fast food restaurants.

Tonya K.

Yelp
Hubby and I were excited this dumpling hotspot. Cozy & relaxing atmosphere with knowledgeable staff. We enjoyed the crunch & flavor of the shrimp balls as our appetizer. The traditional pork soup dumplings were light yet filling (4 served). There is a combo option I will try next time with a chicken option. The fried rice was excellent and good quality and complemented the Kung Pao shrimp nicely (rice is ordered separately fyi). My lavender sake cocktail was underwhelming with too much ice served in a large wine glass and straw. Worth a try and entree portions are very shareable.

Yelp
In the year that I've lived in the DFW I've been on a quest for a really good Chinese restaurant. The ones I've tried have been less than decent, so when I read the reviews for this spot I was so excited to make the 30+ drive to pick up an order to go. I ordered the hot chili wontons, pork egg roll, spicy cucumber salad & the Mongolian beef. First, the wontons didn't really travel well (they got a bit gummy and didn't look terribly appetizing). To me, they weren't spicy and lacked a little flavor. I had super high hopes for this, as I haven't found a restaurant that can make hot chili oil wontons like I used to get back in Los Angeles. Maybe this is a dish that needs to be eaten as soon as it comes out of the kitchen. The pork egg rolls (2 mini egg rolls per order) were good. Nice and crispy, not lacking in filling. But again, missing some flavor. Thank goodness for the sweet and sour sauce, which helped. The spicy cucumber salad - the photo on the menu made it look like my mom's, so I was looking forward to this. Not spicy, a tad oily, needing a little more flavor but refreshing. I added a little Korean chili pepper to it and a dash of soy sauce...but overall, not bad. The entree was probably my biggest disappointment . The portion size is a little small for the price of the item, and 2/3 of what I received was onions - just a few pieces of beef in the dish. It had a sweetness that I've never tasted in Mongolian Beef...I blame the insane amount of red onions added to it (very odd). And to charge $2 extra for rice? If you're charging nearly $20 per entree you should include a bowl of rice. I had rice at home and made it myself. The parking is very limited...I was lucky to get there before their dinner rush hit. I was able to peek in the dining area - it seems like a relaxing space, nicely decorated. The bar area was cool looking. I really hoped this would be reminiscent of the great Chinese restaurants I've eaten at on the East and West coasts, but it looks like I have to continue my search for Chinese cuisine. VERY over-priced, EXTREMELY underwhelming.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place more. I was excited to try the dumpling place because I love dumplings (& wine) & I had heard good things. The dumplings weren't bad, just ordinary. In fact i would say the dumplings my wife buys at the Asian market are better. Wine list & wine was ! I sat at the bar and while Jason was super, he was covering the entire bar (packed), service well & whatever else came up. Get this man some help please. At one point someone came to help but just stood and polished wine glasses - expressionless . The place is tiny. No room to stand at the bar and seating was cramped. I kept having to move while servers dropped off dirty glassware. I may go back and give it another try, but with so many outstanding restaurants in town it might be a while. Sorry no pictures. Dumplings. ‍

Yelp
Food was delicious, service is well appreciated and ambience is better than what would think looking at the building from outside. It is clean, well managed and the food to die for. Parking may be a challenge but the food makes up for that.

Yelp
We had our first opportunity to visit Teddy Wongs this week after reading about it since they opened. It did not disappoint! We went at lunch and sat at the bar. The service was great and the recommendations from the bar staff were spot on. We started with the Hot Oil Wantons which were amazing! The sauce and spices were really special. Next up was the Fried Shrimp Balls which are a bit hard to describe but out of this world in flavor. We had the Mongolian beef entree which we might not have ordinarily ordered except for the bartender's glowing endorsement. It was plenty for two people and maybe the best Asian dish we've ever had. Finally we had the amazing wontons filled with chocolate ganache and served with raspberry sauce. One per person was plenty of this sinful delight.

Yelp
I was already going to leave 5 stars after our main course, and then we tried the chocolate dumplings. Those were somehow even better than our dinner. My wife had the vegetable dumplings and I had the pork dimples as well as the hot oil wontons. They were amazing, but what really captured me is the environment here. I love the feel of the restaurant inside, and the service is incredible. Our server Jesse was the best server I have ever had, and came across so natural and authentic. Any time we are in the area again we will be back!

Yelp
So glad that we finally have a solid Chinese restaurant in the area! I've eaten at many XLB restaurants and do wish that the portion was bigger than 4 pcs, but it was still good nonetheless. The fried rice was great and I also loved the wontons. The wine pairings were also a great plus.

Yelp
FOOD INSTAGRAM: @northtx.gemz **** WHAT THEY'RE KNOWN FOR: culinary inspired Chinese food in the heart of downtown Fort Worth! THE VIBE: almost kind of western? Cozy and dark inside!Parking is a bit scarce. I recommend a reservation on the weekend. WOULD I COME BACK? No. **** Overall Rating: 6.5/10 - Okay I think I officially don't really think Chinese food is my number one favorite category of food lol. However, I still have taste buds and experience with lots of dim sum places I can judge it pretty well! - For a person who likes Americanized Chinese food, this place is for you. I will say the flavor was lacking, but the quality of ingredients was definitely there! - I surprisingly liked the crab rangoons and fried rice a lot (the more basic foods blew me away lol). - Everything else was lacking flavor IMO. The orange chicken should've been actually spicier. Everything should have been spicier even the chili oil wasn't too spicy.

Yelp
Found this place on yelp. My husband and I visiting from Las Vegas. We enjoyed everything we ordered. I recommend the soup dumplings and hot oil wontons. The noodles were flavorful and filling. The staff was kind and the restaurant was clean. Happy Hour Mon-Fri 2pm-5pm $2 off all dumplings, All Draft Beer $2 in the 2pm hour, $3 in the 3pm hour, and $4 in the 4pm hour. Go check this place out.

Yelp
To start this off, I want to make a comment about how beautiful and elegant inside the restaurant was. It's nice on the outside but on the inside side it throws you by surprise (well at least for me it did!). The service was excellent. The lady we had who served us (which I believe her name was Derby) was so nice and attentive, she constantly made sure our drinks were filled. She made sure we understood the menu and gave us recommendations. She was great! Now for food, which was amazing, so tasteful and flavorful. The dumplings were the best we had around town! We also spring egg roll and pork egg roll, chicken fried rice , and the orange chicken! Which all tasted so delicious, definitely will be telling my friends about this place and will be coming back. P.S. it is also a wine bar , and they had so many selections of wine! But we didn't drink any at the time . But definitely gonna try date night with the misses soon here!

Yelp
My wife and I recently had dinner at Teddy Wong's, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. For appetizers, she opted for the spicy cucumber salad, and I had the BBQ pork. Both were excellent, setting a high bar for the rest of the meal. For our main courses, we sampled a variety of dumplings and the Mongolian beef. Each dish was delicious, showcasing the restaurant's attention to detail and quality ingredients. The service was very good--attentive without being over the top. Our server was always there when we needed anything but never hovered, which made for a pleasant dining experience. A word of advice: make sure to book a reservation. Teddy Wong's is quite popular, and we learned this the hard way when we attempted a walk-in a week prior and faced a two-hour wait. Also, be prepared for parking challenges. Their lot is small, but fortunately, there's plenty of street parking nearby. Overall, our dinner at Teddy Wong's was a delight, and we're already looking forward to our next visit.

Yelp
Nice atmosphere that would be good for a date night or special occasion, but still suitable for casual dining. Our server was cool and I liked the restaurant but I felt like the portions were way too small for the price. I was kinda sad to see 4 soup dumplings come out in the steamer, and the dumpling skin had a weak chewy texture. The scallion pancakes were better in terms of value, but I would've appreciated if they were crispier. It's worth mentioning that they have specific wine recommendations for every dish, so someone open to a wine+Chinese food combo might have a greater appreciation for the restaurant than I did. Overall a decent spot for dishes that would be hard to find in the area, but my experience was just okay.

Yelp
Y'all! Been reading about this cute little place tucked over on rosedale. The food is so good!!!! I ordered pork egg rolls, kung pao chicken and beef/shrimp fried rice and had a 15 minute drive home, as I was just doing takeout. It was delicious, the food was still hot, and the egg rolls were perfect and not soggy! I cannot wait to go back and try the soup dumplings. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Absolutely recommend! As a follow up, we went and ate in house tonight!! Had the crab Rangoon and the pork and chive dumplings. So good!! We had the orange chicken and some chicken fried rice. Already have a reservation for two weeks from now.

Yelp
We were in the vicinity of the restaurant & bar district immediately southwest of downtown Fort Worth (it probably had a name but I don't know what it is). This restaurant was a couple of blocks west of Hemphill. They appeared to have some parking out front and possibly more on side streets nearby. We had ended up walking here from a few blocks away, though. The app where I found this listed it in several categories including 'dim sum'. When we arrived, I was sort of expecting a hard core Chinese place with roving carts of dim sum plates. This was NOT that place. I'm not criticizing it at all, just noting that it is different. We arrived a bit before noon on a Sunday. They asked if we had a reservation. Since we didn't they said we could either wait 20 minutes or eat at the bar. We opted for the bar. The interior is sort of a 1/3 Chinese and 2/3 cowboy. They have "Teddy Wong's" spelled out on one wall in rope lettering. There is a set of Buddhist statues on shelves backed by a cowhide wall hanging. There is a steer's head trophy on one wall. You get the idea. We were told they have been open about 6 - 7 months. The dining are was moderately sized and packed. The lady who tended bar was friendly and took our orders. At this point, I was somewhat surprised that the menu was pretty varied - they had some of the standard Americanized Chinese dishes, but they also had some of the more authentic dishes as well. I wanted to eat light as we had no way to preserve any leftovers while travelling (and being away from the hotel for most of the afternoon). Hence I got a couple of appetizers and later finished my wife's side salad. My dumplings were good, though they almost seemed deep fried as opposed to pan fried. The eggroll was also tasty. My wife got a broccoli and chicken dish, which he liked. This was a quirky, interesting place with pretty good food. I'm glad we stopped in.
