"This Mediterranean spot’s backyard is bigger than plenty of NYC parks. Not McCarren or Central, but the ones that you look at on a map, and wonder how many people in the entire city know its actual name. This place is easier to remember thanks to ceviche, frozen cocktails, and a very attractive space covered in lights and hanging plants. It’s open from 5-11pm during the week, and starting at noon on weekends, so keep it in mind when you want to day drink in a park, legally." - matt tervooren

"Williamsburg has the seventh longest bridge in NYC, two major parks, and countless places to pick up tour shirts from ’90s bands you never saw tour. But one thing it doesn’t have in great supply is big outdoor dining spaces. Ten Hope is a notable exception. This Mediterranean spot’s massive outdoor space is covered in hanging vines and string lights, and it’s a great place to have a shakshuka flatbread while day-drinking with a group (and your dog)." - Matt Tervooren

"In a neighborhood where outdoor seating tends to mean a few, starting-to-rust sidewalk tables next to a bike with no back wheel, it’s good to know about Ten Hope. The massive backyard at this Mediterranean spot in Williamsburg has couches, tables, and half the plants from Home Depot’s garden section. It’s a good place to day drink with a group, especially if you’re the kind of person who gasps when someone suggests you leave your dog at home - the dog-friendly courtyard is accessible from the street. There’s also a small indoor area with living room furniture and bar seating that works for casual dates, and if you want to eat some food, share the buttery za’atar flatbread with tahini hummus, or the juicy brick-chicken with spicy garlic sauce. photo credit: Daniel Brennan" - Matt Tervooren

I came to Ten Hope tonight to preview a menu for my upcoming birthday dinner. The owner Bill, the chef Travis, the server Darrell and all the staff were just so accommodating and genuinely kind. I could not have picked a better venue for a beautiful outdoor patio dining birthday. I will post more when I have the event but as I said the food was just delicious. They have very unique dishes there and all prepared and cooked with fresh ingredients and a very knowledgeable chef. I highly recommend Ten Hope in Brooklyn... UPDATE:. My birthday party was this afternoon and the staff was beyond accommodating when rain was predicted. They set up a tent and kept checking on the guests. This is the best staff of any restaurant ever...and the food hit it out of the park. Everyone complimented the venue, staff, drinks and meals. A total 5 star review. We look forward to dining here again. Everyone said it's on the list for another night out!

Had a great time with friends, the staff were really friendly and the outdoor space was cute. This isn’t the best brunch experience out there, as you have to order an entree in order to get the bottomless brunch which ends up being around $53 for bottomless brunch depending on the price of the entree. All bottomless brunch drinks came in tiny plastic cups, not your standard glasses which was very off putting to drink from a tiny plastic cup. They really tried to give you as little as possible. I had their Ten Hope bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich which came with a side of fries. My friends got their French toast stuffed with cream and topped off with strawberry preserve. We enjoyed our meal but nothing to rave about.

Nice ambiance adjusting to Covid standards and outdoor dining, heating lamps are placed all over. Food and drinks were delicious. I would recommend making a reservation as it can get very busy and with social distancing. Wait staff was nice. I will definitely be back to try more things on the menu.

I had my wedding at Ten Hope after a nightmare situation involving COVID cancellations, mean/weird venues, and sketchy hotels. Ten Hope saved the day and ensured we could have a beautiful wedding at the restaurant. Bill and his team were so wonderful, and I will forever be grateful for the beautiful, intimate, and delicious party they threw for me. Repeating that the food is out of this world delicious. And drinks. And atmosphere. LOVE TEN HOPE!

Google
I liked the ambiance and decor inside and outside. I am sure it’s lovely to sit in a garden area in the summer. Our waitress was pleasant and quick. However food was very disappointing. Tiny portions and expensive. I guess it’s the norm for Williamsburg these days but we were all disappointed in quality and quality of our brunch dishes. I wouldn’t be back.

Google
This restaurant was very cute! The backyard feel was lovely, felt very open, and the sunshine was graciously illuminating the area. We found the sound proof walls to be very cool and interesting element. We really could not hear other people’s conversations - which was nice. The host was lovely. We were seated relatively quickly on a busy Easter Sunday. The service was a little slow but we didn’t mind to much because the day was so lovely and understood that it was busy. Our food was good ! Would recommend checking this place out ! Perfect little spot for a lovey spring/ summer day. I will be back here to check out during the evening.

Google
Ten Hope has a super cute inside bar space with open concept kitchen, full bar, and plush velvet seating, in addition to a large outdoor courtyard (complete with space heaters for the colder months) for dining. The menu is fresh, inventive Mediterranean food, with plenty of shareable dishes like the flatbread and dips (whipped feta with pistachios, tahini hummus, babaganoush, and taramasalata). For brunch, the shakshuka flatbread and lemon ricotta pancakes are must-try dishes. The drinks menu features some amazing cocktails like the Tropical Moscow Mule, Empress Punch (beautiful purple martini cocktail perfect for Instagram-ing), an assortment of Spritzes, Beer & White Claw Hard Seltzer Buckets, and even a couple mocktails! And as an added bonus, if you dine outside, your dog is welcome to join too.

Google
Recently went to Ten Hope, and I really like my experience there. The setting is really cool especially the igloo like bubbles they have outside. Food wise I had a burger, and I really liked it. I also liked their three deep entrée. The service was good and fast, even though I went there on a busy evening. The owner was really nice and greeted us personally. Really good spot for a quick date night.

Yelp
Came for brunch. Food is good. The Shakshuka was a different take, having it on flatbread. The burrata salad was very flavorful - I couldn't stop dunking the bread. I would come back just for the burrata salad alone. We sat outside in the patio area, which is very nice. I would recommend sitting outside when possible.

Chris L.

Yelp
Ten Hope is apparently executing a relaunch, which the chef talked to us about for a bit when he dropped by our table. The outside seems nice and should be a big draw, but it was a bit cold out when we went so we sat indoors. The server was nice, a bit overly attentive but I'll take that over absence. Food and drinks came out pretty quickly. Their cocktails are unique and the ones we tried - Fly High and a spicy marg - were good, with a bit of kick in the margarita. We shared an octopus salad, burrata, baba ghanoush, and a burger. Everything seemed well cooked and was enjoyable. The menu itself could be improved, with manually crossed out items on printed paper. Also, there's only one vegan and one vegetarian option, but an entire legend dedicated to allergens - and the vegan item isn't keyed based on the legend; easy fix that'll seem more put together. Some additional vegetarian / vegan options, even a black bean burger, would be a big add too. Overall, the place has potential - looking forward to seeing how the relaunch plays out.

Yelp
What a wonderful outdoor space and food! We came in 30 mins before our reservation and the staff offered to seat us before our time. We also had a cake from another place and they offered to store it for us from our table which was so kind of them to offer. I didn't explore the indoor space as much but loved the outdoor space with the lights and faux vines over the place. They had nice music playing in the background as well but not too loud where you couldn't have a conversation at the dinner table. Our waitress was super friendly and great to offer recommendations to our friend that had vegan preferences. For the table we got a couple items to share that were the right amount and tasted super fresh and light - Warm Flatbread with Za'atar Olive Oil - Greek Salad - Kale Tabbouleh Salad - Seared Confit Octopus - Crispy Skin Salmon - Seared Brussel Sprouts - Hand Cut Fries - Roasted Fingerlings Loved the options they had on the menu and everything was cooked perfectly. The salads had a nice bite with the right level of acidity. Fries fluffy and the seafood not chewy and overcooked. Would definitely come back and recommend this as a place to go with a large group that is outdoors. Portions are great to share and they had wonderful cocktails as well!

Yelp
I really wanted to have a better experience at Ten Hope but unfortunately that was not the case. A came for brunch to celebrate the birthdays of two friends. It was a group of about 11. The venue is small inside and has a few tables outside as well but overall not large. With that said, service was very slow. The waitress who was taking our orders was also making out drinks aka bartending, as well as servicing at least 2 other tables. Unsure if this is the norm or if they were short staffed, but having one person to support all inside tables and also bartend is not a great business model during brunch hours, especially when you have a group. Our server was also very short with us in her interactions and had a bit of an attitude, like we were inconveniencing her by being there. I should note, I witnessed her being much more pleasant with another table. With that said, it took quite a bit of time to have drinks refilled and we opted for the higher bottomless brunch option so it was disappointing constantly sitting around with an empty glass. When we asked the waitress/bartender about this and if we could have a pitcher to pour our own drinks, she at first said it wasn't possible and then said that after our next round she would have to "86" the frozen drinks. The birthday girl expressed her dismay at the pace of service and how things were going and at some point, I looked over and could see the woman literally bad mouthing the birthday girl to another staff member, in eye and ear shot. Super uncomfortable and unprofessional. And to add insult to injury, the food was not great. I had a BLT and asked for it without avocado. What came was something more basic than a BLT I could make at home, and it had remnants of avocado on the bread, as if it was scraped off. I've ordered BLT sandwiches for brunch before and this one didn't meet the mark. Menu said it came with hash browns, but it came out with the same potatoes as other dishes. What should've been a nice afternoon at a place that came highly recommended, became an unfortunate experience. I would not recommend or return.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is beautiful and the outside area is nice as well. The wine was great and service was kind and quick. I had the lamb burger which was a bit too gamey for me but the bread was delicious, and the fries were flavorful. It is on the more expensive side but I would try again!

Yelp
Came here for dinner on a Saturday night & it was pretty empty (we made a reservation ahead of time so no wait). Staff was friendly and fast. The drinks were tasty and they had a good amount of cocktail options. I got the flatbread and hummus which was absolutely delicious and I could eat a million more. The calamari was a cold dish which I didn't realize until after I got it so it wasn't really my taste. My friends enjoyed all their dishes (burger, lamb burger, deviled eggs). The outdoor space is very cute and Instagramable. I would recommend this spot

Yelp
I was recommended to this place by a New York based travel Blogger that I follow. After doing a Brooklyn tour I wanted to meet up with some former students at this place. It's a cute little place on hope street. The food was to die for. We started off with the mezze platter of.dips which we all loved. I loved the whipped feta but honestly all of them were bomb! I got the Greek pancakes and one of my former students gave me some of her shakshuka. Both were heavenly. The pancake were not that fluffy as I would like but still very good. The shakshuka was amazing. The flavor was killer. Everyone liked their meals. I highly recommend for brunch.

Christina B.

Yelp
Very very nice outdoor space! I was really excited to have brunch here based on all the pictures and promoted ads that ten hope does. It's a great spot and great location if you're hosting a big dinner or going out with a larger group for drinks. You do need to make reservations in advance since spots do fill up quickly. That being said, the food in my opinion for brunch was nothing exceptional. Breakfast Bowl: eggs, gravy and potatoes with very little interest or seasoning. Pretty plain Lemon ricotta pancakes: okay. These were a SCANDAL. They added DILL to lemon pancakes with strawberries. Really unappetizing and dill does not go on sweet pancakes. They were also on the dry side. These just didn't do it for me Bloody Mary: way too spicy with just kick and no flavor I didn't really enjoy it and I love bloody Marys usually. Overall it's a great space but maybe their dinner menu is better and they just don't do brunch that well? I will have to test this theory but I wouldn't come back simply for the food alone.

Yelp
Came here the other night for a change. I don't usually venture out to Brooklyn/Williamsburg but I wanted to explore the area and check this place out. This place has a great ambiance and I am sure it is crowded during warmer seasons. We have a 5pm reservation and barely anyone was there due to the cold weather. There were outdoor heaters and the waiters were mindful of seating you near one. However we were really cold and asked if they can move one more closer to us, and they didn't. We ordered 4 drinks and 3 dishes which added up to a very expensive meal. The food was delicious but over priced and we were not full at the end. We got the whipped feta, the halloumi and the Brussels sprouts.

Yelp
I came here for an after party event after a wedding, just for the bridal party. It was amazing! They had great red wine, this is coming from a California resident who has been spoiled by Napa so you know it's good! I loved the ambiance of this outdoor patio area - very covid 19 safe. The outdoor seating is so great, they have heat lamps and the food was delicious! My favorite would be the caramelized fries, but they had good hummus, labneh and bread. A friend had the kofta burger and he liked it! Restrooms - plenty! no long lines and clean. staff - so so sweet there is plenty to do in the area too, Milk bar is a few blocks over and there are lots of restaurants. Great vibe, very romantic feel so I definitely suggest this for a date spot or a large party spot for dinner.

Lily R.

Yelp
This was my first time at Ten Hope and it did not disappoint! From the ambiance, to the service (thanks, Ricardo!), to the food and drinks, it was a great time. The outdoor space is lined with ivy giving the it a "secret garden" feel. The inside is also really nice and will be the perfect spot for some respite on a HOT summer day. All of the dish preparation was thoughtful, fresh and reflective of seasonal ingredients, which I really appreciated. Highlights: Habanero Margarita: SO refreshing, perfectly balanced between the sweet passion fruit, zesty lime, and spicy pepper. Flatbread w/ Hummus: the pita flatbread was crisp and golden and topped with za'atar. It had that sort of "crispy" sound to it when I ran my knife over it. ASMR + in my book. Hummus was fresh and nutty. Burrata: The show stopper!! Creamy burrata in a bed of heirloom tomatoes and fresh plums topped with micro greens and mint with a side of crispy buttery toast. So yummy and exactly what I want from a seasonal summer dish! Grilled Octopus: Really original and flavorful take on the Mediterranean staple! And again, a perfect use of seasonal ingredients. Chef Travis managed to incorporate gooseberries, heirloom root vegetables, and crispy chorizo into a dynamic and original dish. Curious to see how he uses flavors into his dishes in other seasons. I will be back!!!

Yelp
With this Summer heat beaming down on the city this place is an oasis, covered with plants and sunshine it's a great spot to cool off! I was so excited to try Brunching at Ten Hope, I love Mediterranean food so it was right up my alley. My friend and I ordered the Shakshuka and Lamb Burger for entrees and started with the spread platter served with flatbread and a caprese salad. Everything was so colorful and delicious. I would return for the spreads alone! The flatbreads were soft, seasoned lightly and drizzled in olive oil, and the spreads were fresh and amazing! Fave is the whipped feta! Must order. The salad had the juiciest most to die for heirlooms and such a delicate mozz. They also make refreshing lemonade, my go-to summer bev!

Jessica L.

Yelp
Came here with the group for brunch. It was okay. Nothing special. Food isn't that good. But a nice atmosphere to hangout.

Eva B.

Yelp
This place had a really adorable vibe! My group of friends was seated outside in between two birthday parties. The menu had many great choices. I really loved the jalapeno margarita and my goat cheese burger! The staff seemed a little confused and my friend's burrata salad came out much after everyone else's food (which seemed odd since there's no cooking involved, we believe the order was missed in the kitchen). Additionally, there seemed to be some visible tension between the staff on the floor.

Danan R.

Yelp
It's a nice and fun option for a casual meal with friends in Williamsburg a few blocks away from the main Bedford station area. They have a solid Mediterranean-themed menu with pitas, burrata, pan roasted chicken, and chimichurri hangar steak along with patio seating. The staff are friendly and the food solid. We attended an event here and the staff were fantastic throughout. Honestly that alone set them apart as event staff usually tend to be harried and brusque. Be sure to get the chicken under a brick and the burrata with balsamic-glazed peaches and tomatoes and served with buttered toast.

Nathan M.

Yelp
The food was wonderful, but the best part of brunch was our waiter, Maria! She made my weekend and was perfectly attentive!!!

Craig Z.

Yelp
Great fries, and lots of them, otherwise terribly disappointing. The burger was... Hard and chewy meat, flat and puck like, almost certainly a frozen patty Greasy, but not flavorful Smaller than expected Missing some of the toppings, or the amounts of those toppings were trivial. Specifically I don't think it had the Sweet & Spicy Tomato Marmalade, Caramelized Bourbon Onions, Or Meyer Lemon Aioli. Maybe the Meyer Lemon Aioli is supposed to be on the side and I was given the wrong sauce because there was a green sauce i couldn't identify. I was also over charged for my order and another item was missing. Staff was nice when I picked it up but otherwise this was a bad experience.

Kelly C.

Yelp
Great food, great vibes, and great service. I came here for brunch pride Sunday and it was HOT out. I asked if there were any tables in the shade and they brought out a pop up canopy right away. Super nice of them! My gf and I ordered the ceviche, flatbread with whipped feta and pistachio, shakshuka flatbread, and house cured lox. Everything was delicious. The ceviche had a generous amount of shrimp. We enjoyed dipping the pita from the ceviche into the whipped feta. Solid brunch spot!

Steven C.

Yelp
We came here for the bottomless on a Saturday without a reservation and were seated immediately. Maria was amazing and super attentive to our empty glasses each time. Highly recommend the baba ganoush, octopus salad, and double brunch burger. Cooked perfectly and seasoning on point. Love the ambiance and decor-- amazing spot to be for brunch on the weekends or everyday dining

Courtney S.

Yelp
Nice new brunch spot. Came here with three friends on a Sunday and had the entire restaurant to ourselves. We ordered the hummus, burger, and bacon egg and cheese flatbread. All to die for. The bottomless brunch is $15pp which is very well priced for Williamsburg. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. He was prompt with the refills when he saw our drinks were getting low. Will definitely return here. Love the ambiance as well.

Nicholas C.

Yelp
Had the chance to visit Ten Hope with some friends for an early afternoon brunch. I had never heard of this restaurant before but was happy that my friend recommended it. The vibes here are great for brunch on a sunny day. Since this visit was during COVID times they aren't allowing any indoor dining yet, but their outdoor space is big enough to have lots of parties (spaced out) seated comfortably. When it came time to order I went with the BLT salad which included crispy bacon, large slices of tomato and seasoned kale. All together this was great! The salad wasn't heavy but the portion amount was perfect and left me satisfied. The staff here is also very efficient and got our food out to us soon after we ordered. I'd recommend coming here when the weather is nice and if you'd like creative takes on classic dishes.

Chey O.

Yelp
I'm going to be honest, this place is all talk. When you look at the pictures, the food looks amazing and the ambiance looks even better. This to me truly feels like one of those restaurants where you go for the vibe (in this case, their beautiful outdoor seating) and nothing else. Because let me tell you, the food/drinks don't make the cut, which feels important to me for a restaurant. I went here recently for brunch after having this place on my list forever. We were able to snag a table on a sunny Saturday which is peak brunch vibes. I ordered an iced coffee ($4-$5). When I received it, I was a little confused -- the coffee came in a dirty pint glass for starters, and it was rather...thick. The coffee was incredibly cloudy and adding milk didn't even lighten up the consistency. Personally, 'thick' isn't an adjective I'm looking for when it comes to my coffee. Even the water glasses were dirty. When I poured water form the carafe into my glass there were little bits of I-don't-even-know-what floating in the water. Not cool. And to top it all off, the food wasn't great either. I ordered their BKT salad, which costs an alarming $19. I know expensive salads are synonymous with NYC life these days, but $19 is really taking the cake. If it was actually tasty, that would be at least somewhat redeemable but that wasn't the case. There was barely a cups-worth of kale, dried-out pieces of bacon, very little salad dressing, and huge hunks of mealy tomatoes. 100% lackluster. If you're cool overpaying for a cute brunch in the sun, you can check this spot out. But if you're looking for quality food and a quality experience, I'd look elsewhere.

Yelp
Made a reservation thru OpenTable for 3 people and my son decided to join at the last minute. They easily accommodated the 4th person. We arrived 30 mins before the res and they had the outdoor table for us as requested. We sat down and even tho they gave us a 2 hour window to dine, we felt it was more than enough time to dine. We were almost wrong, will explain later. Yentile was our server and she is amazingly sweet. She also was easy to deal with. We enjoyed her so much we almost invited her to sit with us. She had a few tables and she always had an inviting smile. They have various staff delivering food and picking up plates. Was not busy when we arrived around 6pm, however it was packed when we left. The 2 bartenders also delived drinks and both were very friendly. The male was really cool, and the female silver fox bartender was sweet and sassy. May have to return soon with more friends just to hang with the bartenders!! You will see below the wide selection of food we ordered. Everything was really good. We also had a key lime pie for dessert. Wish it was a little more tart, but that was just our preference. Ten Hope is a superb place to dine and the staff is very friendly. The outdoor garden is even a higher attraction. This will be a staple in Williamsburg +!!

Yelp
Ten out of Ten for brunch at Ten Hope! dEATs: Ten Hope's burger -- super juicy ordered medium, but the fries were the winner on this plate; Soul warming breakfast bowl with sausage gravy; Incredibly seasoned & slightly spicy shakshuka with warm pita bread beneath soaking every bit of the tomato & perfectly poached eggs. FAVORITE ORDERS: Shakshuka Food: 3.8/5 Service/Speed: 5/5 Price (college student budget): $$ Ambiance: Casual, great outdoor seating. Would return & recommend? 3.8/5

Yelp
Pretty tasty food but definitely on the pricey side for what it is. The first time I came here I ordered a chicken under a brick which was super juicy and flavorful for chicken. The fries were good as well, and the drinks were nice. The second time I came and ordered a seared Halloumi, which I didn't realize was a salad from reading the menu. It wasn't my favorite, but for what it was they did it well with tasty figs and Halloumi.

Audrey S.

Yelp
New favorite place! Waiter was nice. Everyone checked on us throughout the dinner. Perfect for appetizers and a drink with friends. Lovely, colorful, fresh, nutritious food. Will be back again!

Nishanth E.

Yelp
Fantastic brunch spot, terrific food and ambience. The flatbread and whipped feta with pistachio is a great combo and we had the breakfast bowl and the shakshuka. The shakshuka is super spicy, so order it if you like the zing, it comes on top of a flatbread which is a slightly different take from the regular shakshuka. The spicy Bloody Mary was great as well. Excellent service and good for large groups, would definitely come back!

Yelp
I came in on a Sunday for brunch with friends. The space is lovely and inviting. They have an amazing outdoor area, however we sat inside due to rain. We ordered the avocado toast, the greek salad, a breakfast bowl, and the flatbread with zataar olive oil and hummus. The greek salad was your standard greek salad, and was tasty, but a tad salty. The breakfast bowl was excellent, it was a base of roasted potatoes, topped with lamb kofta gravy, poached eggs, and mozzarella. We would absolutely order this again; it was rich and filling to the point I couldn't quite finish it. The avocado toast was also great, it came with poached eggs and a whipped lemon avocado mousse on sourdough. Also something we would definitely get again. The flat bread and hummus was standard and tasty. Their jalapeno mango margarita had a great kick and was enjoyable. Our service was friendly and efficient as well. Overall, a very nice brunch spot you should check out!

Nadia B.

Yelp
Came to Ten Hope after reading a lot of great reviews and was not disappointed. The service was great, cocktails were flavorful (jalapeño margarita), and food was good. We got the the Buratta and Zatar bread with hummus to start and they were DELICIOUS. I'd recommend those to anyone. For the mains, we got the salmon, halloumi salad, and Brussels. I wasn't blown away by the salmon or Brussels but they were still good. We sat outdoors on a warm day and it was really cute, I'd recommend coming here with a group of friends and sitting out here.

Cheyenne B.

Yelp
Ten Hope was an alright experience. The restaurant looked great, but the wait staff wasn't. When we arrived our table was still be occupied by another party, and the staff wasn't keen on getting them out any time soon. I was told that I had to leave at a certain time when making the reservation so not being sat when arrived was kind of annoying. We waited a good 30-40 mins before being seated, and those that wanted the bottomless option were cut short due to our late seating. The food was ok want amazing, and the staff was just almost to relaxed with us. Didn't see her a lot and and because we were last we felt rushed. They did offer us a free drink at the end being that it was birthday, but nothing really wowed me.

Yelp
This is a treasure in Williamsburg that I only recently discovered. Situated in the hub of Williamsburg, Ten Hope offers a chic ambience with an incredible courtyard apt for outdoor dining, especially during the pandemic. The food here is mostly Mediterranean inspired, but also has flares of New-American. I came with a party of four and shared several plates. To start, we shared the pita with several dips. The pita itself was delicious, as was the whipped feta and tahini hummus, The babaganoosh was more bland than others I've had. We also shared a burrata with peach slices and deliciously crispy Brussel sprouts mixed with hot honey and cranberries. As for the main dishes, we split the hanger steak, salmon and scallops. The hanger steak was cooked to perfection and adorned with a nice chimichurri, while the scallops were absolutely delectable and doused in a sweet parsnip sauce. Quite honestly, the salmon was nothing impressive, cooked well, but did not really have a memorable flavor profile. Overall, most of the plates we ordered were fantastic and combined with the awesome atmosphere & friendly service, I'd definitely recommend, especially while outdoor dining is still feasible. I look forward to returning for brunch.

Yelp
I went to Ten Hope expecting an amazing experience with the food the service and the ambience and it definitely fell flat a bit. I was waiting for the hostess to come back to her station so that we could be seated for our reservation and from a far I saw someone that my friend said 'oh that must be the hostess' however she was dressed like a patron and she saw us and went into the restaurant so I thought she was a server however I was wrong and she was the hostess which was strange that she saw us and didn't acknowledge us at all. She comes over and I let her know that we have a reservation and she gives us the option of two tables. We sat down and got water immediately and our server came over pretty quickly as well also dressed like she was going to brunch herself and asked us if we wanted drinks, we said we still needed a minute and she came back a minute later literally. Luckily we already knew what we wanted I ordered the breakfast bowl and he ordered the egg sandwich. The food was good but very heavy, very creamy- the cheese on the sandwich was very thick and almost didn't allow to hold the sandwich because it kept slipping out of your hand. The outdoor seating area is very pretty but there's definitely better food and better service in that area. Most of the servers were very quiet, barely said anything when they came to your table, didn't smile, were not welcoming except for a tall thin black girl that was very pleasant- unfortunately not our primary server. Don't be fooled by the cool pictures of the space and the food it's not that great.

Yelp
Absolutely horrendous service. Our waitress seemed to actively be avoiding us, and we waited for our bill for at least 20 minutes. It's possible they were understaffed, which I know is a big problem right now, and I sympathize--but we saw staff standing around or servicing tables around us without coming over. I wish I'd looked at the other Yelp reviews before going there, since most of the 1-stars say the *exact* same thing. To add insult to injury, our waitress charged us for the "dinner" bottomless option, which is $40--even though we came in for brunch at 12:45 PM, and brunch lasts until 5 PM. AVOID.

Yelp
Adorable outdoor seating with fresh, new American menu. Here's what you need to know about Ten Hope: 1. The vibes are it. It's such a cute outdoor set up that makes you forget that we're living through a pandemic (but don't forget and remember to wear your mask/social distance). 2. The staff make it even better. Everyone is so nice and friendly that add to the night. 3. The food and drinks are fairly standard for a nice spot in Williamsburg. It's well made and offers quality options. I wouldn't expect to have a unique dining experience but it still holds up in quality. 4. If you can make a reservation, do it. It can get crowded because of the set up and popularity.

Yelp
My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at Ten Hope. At the moment they offer outdoor seating in a very cute patio area. All the staff were extremely friendly. Drinks: jalapeño margarita was tasty and unique. The waitress gave us another round of drinks in celebration of our special occasion. Apps: the Greek salad was good, fresh veggies and heirloom tomatoes. We loved the babaganoush flatbread and ended up ordering a second one. The harissa wings were great! You get a pretty large portion and the feta dipping sauce was a yummy touch. And of course a side of fries which were great. Entrees: we probably ordered too many appetizers, so we split one entree: the grilled halloumi cheese. We loved the unique flavors. It comes with a leafy salad and gooseberries. Overall a great experience, from the food and drinks to the nice staff.

Yelp
I went for brunch with the girls, and loved this place! We had great seating outside in a garden atmosphere. We chose the bottomless brunch (additional 25 pp). We had appetizers and extraordinary brunch dishes. Favorite: the Ten Hope Burger. The server and host were both amazing. Great experience!

Yelp
We met up with friends at this place for some drinks and small plates. Overall, the drinks were really good and the atmosphere outside is beautiful. It's also in a nice location. The service was okay in our experience - we wanted to order more drinks but we weren't able to because they never came back to our table. And the quality of the food was good but it was probably overpriced. The portions are small and you're likely paying for a trendy experience. If you're looking for somewhere to go with a cool vibe but expensive small portions, this is a good option. But probably not somewhere I would go often.

Yelp
Had to dust off the ol' Yelp account to write: If you're looking for a good meal in Williamsburg, look elsewhere. Usually when I'm in Williamsburg, I try to make a day of it: grab coffee, shop, walk around, and wrap things up with dinner and drinks. On our most recent trip though, my partner and I decided to instead try someplace new to us after scrolling online and being charmed by Ten Hope's outdoor space and seemingly solid reviews. Booked a reservation with no hesitation. We got to the restaurant, was warmly greeted by the host, and quickly sat. Felt solid at this point. We ordered drinks and food, and through having the Greek Salad and Warm Flatbread everything seemed fine. But as three or so more tables were sat, the front and back of house buckled. The front of house (aside from the greeter) seemed scattered, and while we waited for our "Buffalo Cauliflower" I noticed how inconsistently the food was coming out to other tables. Then instead of checking in on us, bringing back water refills we had asked for, or clearing our starter plates, our server was awkwardly preoccupied with another guest's dog. Which like, cool, I understand puppies are stupid cute, but considering I'm tracking to throw down $100+ on 4 micro-plates and a couple drinks, I'd expect to be acknowledged. Finally the cauliflower came out and it seemed like the kitchen threw in the towel too. Over cooked, almost burnt florets met a somehow nearly raw stem, coated in too much oil and shockingly without flavor, buffalo or otherwise. If you head to Ten Hope you're paying *maybe* for atmosphere, but that is really limited to the physical space and not really inclusive of the service or food or overpriced drinks. If I sound salty, I am, if only to make up for the bland experience.

Yelp
Stopped by this new spot for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. At first we had the place to ourselves which was nice but more folks begin to come in as the afternoon went on. They have a bottomless brunch deal for an additional $15! UNHERD OF in Williamsburg! Truly a great deal! Not many options on the brunch menu, but the menu was pretty solid. I ordered the burger which was cooked perfectly with a very savory yet sweet onion jam type of spread on the bun with the patty & that was all. The brunch drinks available are mimosas, bloody mary & screwdrivers. The waiter was great and had our glassed filled before they reached empty. The space was really nice as well. Loved the high ceilings and greenery everywhere. This will be a hot spot this summer for sure! They have a really big side courtyard for outdoor seating. Definitely want to go back for dinner.

Yelp
I don't know, I'm sorry. I don't know what they're going for, or what I experienced here exactly, but I had to rush out to buy a bottle of bourbon to take home so I could *literally* wash the taste of this meal out of my mouth. I've never had to do that before in 25+ years of eating out. I came in by myself. Totally empty restaurant, but they insisted on seating me at the bar. I don't typically like eating at the bar, but I obliged. I don't like it because no one pays attention to you (note photo of empty glasses) and annoying people cluster around you speaking loudly, raising my anxiety levels (not pictured, but you can imagine). They had "reservations" marked by placards on empty tables and banquettes, like what you'd find at an Actor's Equity Showcase in midtown. Or a comedy club. Their website did not indicate any way I could reserve a table, and the main dining area of the restaurant remained empty for the duration of my "meal" here. I had a cocktail ($14) that was pleasant and bland; nothing better than a cocktail you could find at literally anywhere else in the neighborhood (Extra Fancy, Fresh Kills, The Exley, take your pick) and for much cheaper too. I ordered the (small size) of the crudité appetizer ($12). The bartender didn't know what rainbow radishes were, so he explained the dish best he could. The dish wasn't anything better than you could get pre-made at a mid-level supermarket like Foodtown (might even be better there, tbh) except it was all gussied up to look fancy, and kind of a sad mess. I wasn't sure what was edible on the plate. I couldn't remember if squash blossoms (is that what they were?) were even edible, but I did manage to chew a few things into my napkin that didn't feel right, texturally, in my mouth. Honestly, it was a bit gross. There wasn't enough of the (mediocre) green goddess dressing to go with the heaping of raw vegetables and random leaves on the plate. I've tasted homemade green goddess dressing before, whipped up by friends who had no idea what they were doing, and theirs was better. The entreé. Jesus. I ordered the (seemingly popular?) lamb ribs ($19). God awful. They were four tiny ribs (with barely any meat on them) surrounded by a pile of more raw vegetables! Except these were intensely pickled vegetables. And the flavors just didn't work together. The pickled vegetables overpowered everything else (and certainly the tiny little mostly meatless ribs), and just wound up tasting like bile. The effect was like I was throwing up in my mouth, over and over again. I know nothing about cooking, but I know pickled vegetables are powerful things, and one or two will do -- not a giant pile of them trying to hide the fact that there's barely any meat on your plate, DEAR GOD. I don't believe in ordering wrong. There should be no misfires in a good restaurant, and any plating repetition should be noted to the diner by an informed server. The place resembles Grand Street's Gertie a little bit, in its decor. Like if a chamber pop band built a small boutique hotel lobby somewhere. (Not really a fan of Gertie either). They have an expansive, attractive garden out back, open and empty, that will be useful when it is warm out. But not for half the year. The overall space was as confusing as the menu (small plates are listed alongside larger ones with no noted differentiation, even in terms of price, unless you ask someone, and good luck there). I didn't stay for dessert. Second star for the mostly warm and friendly staff who seemed self-consciously aware they weren't working in a real restaurant. I started to long for bad meals I've had in the past, that's how truly awful it was. The management will say they're new, just gaining their footing, but then why open to the public and take people's money? I'm concerned restaurants like 10 Hope will give ever-evolving Williamsburg a reputation as Rip Off City, but even through the aggressive gentrification, the neighborhood has plenty of great offerings with chefs who take great care in what they do, and management that cares about its guests (not a single person on this engorged team clustered by the entrance said "bye, thank you!" as I left the restaurant, trying not to gag). The long tragic downfall continues for poor Harold Dieterle, who for some reason attached his name to this travesty. I spent...takes deep, depressed breath...close to $60 on this garbage meal. The bartender asked how I liked my entree. When I told him it wasn't, in fact, very good, the entire line of staff behind the bar hopped around, laughing, as if the joke had been on me the whole time. Perhaps it had?

Yelp
Loved this place, menu is unique and is updated often so there is always something new to try. The food was amazing as well, unique flavors that I never though could be possible. Went here on a weekday night and it's a great place to have a date, meet friends, have a causal drink, and/or try unique menus.

Yelp
The flavors were great and they had a nice assortment of vegetarian options. The cauliflower dish was listed (and priced as an entree) but as you can see in the picture was more of a side dish. Same with the halloumi- I love the idea, but $18 is steep for a couple pieces of halloumi and some kale. Would be great if they had a more complete vegetarian option!

Yelp
Amazing!!! Planned my birthday brunch and the experience was breathtaking. Bill was very responsive and accommodating throughout the entire planning. Day of the brunch staff was amazing, always checking in, started to rain and they moved the party indoors. The food was delicious I look forward to having many events at Ten Hope.

Yelp
Solid Mediterranean food in the neighborhood, and even better service. The flatbread with the dips are a must! I loved their hummus and halloumi most.

Yelp
Really nice spot for drinks and food, I enjoyed the chicken and hummus platter with bread. It's a cute spot for an afternoon cocktail with friends or date.

Yelp
Wonderful setting. Came for Saturday brunch. Really disappointed. Took 20 minutes to have order taken. Then another 35 to receive our food. Shakshuka undercooked and pancakes also so undercooked the batter was oozing. Wait staff nice but short staffed and kitchen also understaffed. Owner took pancakes off the bill and apologized but will not return. Too many other great places nearby to be so disappointed.

Yelp
Call us crazy, but we got married in the pandemic (it was an outdoor reception with 11 people who got all got Covid tested). Ten Hope hosted the event for us, and the owner Bill and events coordinator, Charlotte were super helpful with planning, dinner selection etc. They even let us drop off a box of blankets for our guests the night before (though this was not needed because their heated patio is so warm - and beautiful). Food is also excellent. We're particularly partial to the dips and pita bread, burrata and gnocchi. And the bartenders make excellent - and stiff - cocktails. I'd highly recommend Ten Hope as a place to dine regularly in the neighborhood. And even more so as a place to help host a special event. I've said it before and I'll say it again - their patio is beautiful, food is delicious and staff is friendly and helpful. Thanks again to Bill and team for making our night super special!

Yelp
I'm so glad we randomly ended having dinner here. The food was absolutely delicious. To start, we had the 3 dips and they were all delicious (their hummus was amazing). My boyfriend loves the pistachio one the best. I had the salmon and it was perfectly cooked and crispy. My boyfriend had the Ten Hope burger and it was sweet and savory. We shared the brussel sprouts and they were the best I've ever had. Keep in mind that if they refilled your flatbread they will charge you extra, unfortunately we weren't informed at the time but still an amazing place to have a nice dinner and be able to sit outside in their patio.

Yelp
Had a surprise dinner party last night for 13 and all I can say is wow! The staff was so amazing and accommodating, the food was excellent. The drinks were strong and delicious. We pretty much tried everything on the menu and loved it all! Very relaxed cool vibe .
