Thai District - Review - Long Beach - Los Angeles - The Infatuation

"Thai District is a great Thai spot for work lunches and date night. Located in the heart of downtown, Thai District’s two-story space has a more upscale feel to it, but prices are still reasonable and the atmosphere is friendly, not stuffy. We recommended concentrating on their soups (the tom kha is a must), their khao soi, and a coconut panna cotta dessert you’ll wish you had saved more room for. Wonderful Northern-style Thai restaurant! The owner was welcoming and kind. The food flavors were bold and deeply satisfying. Every dish I tried had its own personality. What really impressed me was learning that they import key ingredients directly from Thailand. If you are looking for something beyond the usual Pad Thai and Green Curry, this place is a must-visit.

Google
Crispy Tofu and Thai District Wings were cooked perfectly - amazing crispy exterior with juicy interior. Spices and flavors were spot on throughout. Shrimp Pad Thai was solid, shrimp cooked with great attention to detail. Flavors were rich and full but maybe slightly on the sweet side. Shows they really know how to handle their proteins here.

Google
Thai District is top notch! Not only is it a beautiful place, the food is incredible. I got the pot stickers and drunken noodles, my go to comfort food whenever I order Thai cuisine. These dishes at Thai District were top notch! Beautifully cooked and very flavorful. All of the staff are very kind and the service was great! Definitely give Thai District a try!

Google
Porkbelly was the best. Ordered a level 3 on spice for my drunken noodles.... very hot! It took forever to get our food. The waiter forgot 1 dish and by the time it was brought to our table, we were finished dining. Nice ambiance.

Google
This was my first time eating Thai food, and I felt like it was a mix between Vietnamese meeting Indian food, and it was pretty good! Seeing how I am allergic to coconut there are some things that I did not particularly care for but the Thai soda and the medley vegetables and curry was to die for!

Google
Most of the dishes here are from northern Thailand and include dishes besides the normal pad Thai and red curries. I would recommend the Nam Kao Tod salad, duck curry and drunken pork ragu. Everyone at the table raved about those dishes. The service was great, but I would definitely make a reservation to avoid the long wait for walk ins (A better table management would cut down on the wait times significantly.). Didn’t get the chance to see the patio, but eating inside with the nice decor is the way to do it. Finish off dinner with sticky rice and mango. Your waistline won’t thank me, but your tastebuds will.

Google
I ordered many times from this place and the food was always very solid. This is the first time I went there for dessert. I had never had the dessert before. It was totally worth it. The chef has been apparently trained in France. The Churros were fresh and crispy and the souffle is to die for.

Google
If you're looking for good Thai food, look no further than that district. The food tasted great and authentic. Service was quick and friendly when I went for lunch. If nothing else, go for the mango sticky rice, always a favorite.

Yelp
First of all the food was incredible it's a taste that you can't get anywhere else. Most importantly our server Scott was so helpful with recommending dishes he was so enthusiastic and got us genuinely invested. He cared about the food and he cared about the people he served. If you get a chance to be served by him you will have a great experience.

Yelp
Yum! Authentic Thai food in LB yay! You get a free Thai tea when you check in. Seating is kind of tight but it's a small shop. Spice levels go 1-4 and 4 was not spicy so if you like spice don't be scared! Also shoutout to the girl who helped us she was so nice. Wings were okay. Probably wouldn't get again.

Yelp
Ambiance is great. Rich red walls. Thai paintings and art. The low ceiling keeps it feeling cozy and intimate. We got great service the entire time. From the front desk to our server, everyone is attentive and pleasant. We orders two appetizer and three entrees for three people. 2 glasses of wine and 2 cocktails. All under $130 with tip. Great price. Food is tasty. What you'd expect from Thai restaurant, definitely better than most average take out places. The Pad soon sen and papaya salad was very good. Every dish seasoned well. My only problem is the lychee sangria felt a little weak. Not sweet which is great but can barely taste any alcohol. Overall it's a great place for date or gathering. Will def come back.

Yelp
can honestly say some of the best Thai food I've had in decades. Extremely fragrant dishes that make you feel you haven't actually tried Thai food until you've had theirs. Very good service as well and their peanut sauce is to die for.

Yelp
The food was mediocre. We settled for outside seating, and there was only one waitress-- poor thing on a Saturday night. So, clearly the service was not great, and on top of that, the patio seating right in front of a dive bar is not a good look. The restaurant inside is beautiful. I would go back, but I would not choose patio seating, nor would I think it's worth waiting 45 minutes for my food to come out.

Yelp
There are several wonderful Thai restaurants within easy walking distance in downtown Long Beach and to each other. Thai District is one of my favorites, because of the ambiance and their lamb Osso Buco Thai District Style. This is not only my go to dish but the one I want to have others try. Only once was it a bit dry (it happens) but otherwise the lamb is super moist and tender. Served with a tad of noodles the sauce is wonderful and needs to be spooned over some rice be it plain or one of their menu items. We paired it this time with Thai District's Spicy Fried Rice with shrimp. Really 2 perfect dishes to share. We also checked out the Yuki Nigori unfiltered mango sake which while being light was not too sweet. Service was 99% good but I had mentioned possibly needing a spice tray but we never saw the order taker until it was too later. Ambiance wise Thai District now has outdoor patio seating, upstairs seating and downstairs seating. I'd recommend a reservation on weekends and for prime time dinner hours.

Yelp
Amazing! We made an open table reservation for outdoors. They have a dog friendly patio but be warned, there may be bugs so I suggest long pants and shirt if you're susceptible to bug bites. Our table got the pad Thai, pad see ew, drunken noodle, eggplant and tofu, and pineapple fried rice, and Thai iced teas all around. Everything was super delicious and flavorful. It wasn't super greasy or salty (much appreciated). Even though we were the only table sitting outside, we were constantly checked up on and service was outstanding. Portions are average. Parking can be tricky since it's in downtown LB. It's metered parking but free after 6PM and free on Sundays.

Yelp
It's recommended to make a reservation here during the peak of lunch and dinner. The Brussel sprouts appetizer was amazing. Crisped to perfection! I took advantage of the yelp check-in offer for a free Thai tea - it was good. I had the drunken noodles and I enjoyed the silkiness of the noodles. If you can tolerate spicy, get the Thai spice level- I got the 3 and it wasn't spicy at all. I enjoyed the meal and the aesthetic of the place but before we even finished our main, we felt like we were being rushed to order dessert and then to leave.

Yelp
Overall good experience. I tried their beef noodle soup, asking for extra spicy. While it wasn't as spicy as I'd hoped, the soup had unique flavors and a rich, delicious broth. The meat was tender and flavorful, earning it a solid 4/5. My friend ordered the wings and rated them 3/5. They were decent but not extraordinary. The Thai iced tea was refreshing but slightly watered down. The restaurant had a great atmosphere and a nicely decorated interior, making it an enjoyable dining experience overall.

Yelp
Just ate here tonight, WOWZER their mango sticky rice was phenomenal!!! Pad thai was great Little crab app was good and the lemongrass tea was so refreshing but let's talk about that mango sticky rice. So much flavor going on it was ridiculous

Yelp
Gem of a place in the heart of DTLB. You gotta appreciate the efforts put up in ambiance. Starting with Tom kha soup, it was boasting authentic flavors. I tried Panang curry which was thick and creamy with mixed seafood. Spicy firied rice was great too and for two people, the quantity was enough to fulfill your appetite.
google avatar

Yelp
Pad Thai was good, the green curry rice was dry and not that great. Drunken noodles were just ok

Yelp
Thanks to another quick Yelp Search we found this great Thai dining option. The restaurant on the ground floor is a bit cramped but they have made good use of narrow space they have. Menu had lot of options and we tried some of our routine Thai favs : 1) Pineapple Curry : This was great. Very Good .Bursting with awesome Thai flavor and hands down the best dish of the night for us ! 2) Lychee White Sangria : Not sure if this was a mistake or if this is how the drink tastes but it was Way too sweet ! Felt I was drinking lychee syrup , we had to send it back and restaurant was kind to swap this for another drink. We got a mule instead which was good. 3) Ground Chicken : This was another very good dish and came with Brown Rice and Egg. We loved it ! Our sweet cravings were maxxed out because of how sweet the lychee sangria was so couldn't try any of their desserts ;) This is a good spot and we will be back for sure !

Yelp
Our Thai District experience was outstanding. The food was delicious, great casual ambiance, excellent service, good portions and affordable prices. We started with sa-tae chicken served with peanut sauce and cucumber relish. Followed by pineapple fried rice with shrimp, yellow curry with chicken, and pad see eww with beef. We are definitely coming back!!!

Yelp
My friends and I dropped in here for 545 appointment before 8 o'clock event at the Terrace theater, which was perfect. We were able to walk to dinner. Had a lovely dinner and we are at the theater by 730. The food was delicious. The service was amazing and the ambience is always lovely.

Yelp
Came on the rec of a local and so glad we did! Everything we got was so delicious and the service was wonderful. The location is beautiful with a very interesting dining area. So glad we got to experience this while in town!

Yelp
Thai District and Panvimarn have to be my two favorite Thai spots in Long Beach. Well, there are more but those two come to mind. Thai District is just amazing. From the drinks menu to the service, appetizers, and main menu, every item offered is delicious. I like going in the evening because of the lighting and feel of being inside. It does feel a bit smaller in size though. The Thai Iced Tea is very good and I'm always certain to get it each time I'm out there. Love it!!!!!!

Yelp
On an outing in Long Beach, we found this place as the first option for Thai food close to us, so we decided to just go on a whim, no further research into the restaurant. Upon arrival, the decor alone sold me on the place, while outside was cold and windy, the interior gave off a comforting vibe and the decor was beautiful. The staff was friendly and quick, especially for a Sunday afternoon. While I was going to order a menu item I was familiar with, the first page of their menu listed their speciality items and I instead chose to order the drunken pork ragu noodles. This choice was excellent, as the pork pieces were juicy and tender while the vegetables were cooked but left with a good bite to them. The noodles and the sauce were also well cooked and together the dish was incredible. Not to mention the presentation of each dish was lovely and even the dishes themselves were noteworthy. Definitely adding to my list of favorites in Long Beach, parking was tricky but we ended up finding a small pay per hour lot just on the other side of the same block with less than a 5 minute walk.

Yelp
Went again for lunch! Had the Cashew Nuts with Beef, a delicious Mai Tai and Thai Crispy Rolls. All so good!

Yelp
I ordered some takeout from Thai District while I was visiting Long Beach. I ordered ahead for kabocha curry with TD style tempeh, asked for them to make it not spicy, and a warm flourless chocolate lava cake. The curry was too salty, and they only provided a little bit of white rice as part of the dish. It thankfully wasn't spicy like I had requested, but I hope it was just unlucky that this one was so oversalted as it made it hard to appreciate the rest of the flavors. As for the cake, they put the matcha cream to the side which I appreciate because then you can control how you combine the cream with the rest of the cake. I liked the gooey part in the middle, not as much a fan of the calamansi confit since I don't really like most citrus. The matcha cream was great, though. If it wasn't for the curry being too salty, I would've rated this restaurant higher.

Yelp
Came on a Wednesday evening. I made reservations just in case. Got sat outside and it was a nice evening. Lots of randoms walking by but what's a little entertainment while sipping your Tom yum soup? Got the wings and shishito peppers to start and both were delicious. Tom yum and duck curry to finish off. Duck was tender and Tom yum was on point. Parking was easy (street) paid by meter. Overall good service and good food. I'd come back.

Yelp
I have nothing but compliments for this place. I have yet to eat here in person, but I have picked up and gotten food delivered from their main restaurant and the kitchen they use for the delivery app orders. One of my go-tos is their glass noddle salad. I love the freshness, tanginess and hint of spice (I order it mild). It is on 95% of my orders placed. The last time I ordered it through Uber Eats, someone made it way too spicy. I called the actual restaurant since there is no way to contact the other kitchen. I explained to them that I always order this dish mild and it is never this spicy. I tried eating around the chili flakes and I just couldn't. I unfortunately had to toss it because no one in my house would eat it. They offered to remake it if I could pick up or send another driver, but it was already a late lunch and I couldn't go. The man on the phone said I should receive a refund on that item by Monday, and if not that I could call back and speak with the owner. The week passed and the refund didn't go through. I called and spoke with Andre and explained the whole scenario. I praised the food and mentioned that this must've been a hiccup. He asked if I wanted to have it remade that day. I had planned to order more items, so I mentioned to him that I would like to purchase a chicken coconut soup and a small rice (to go along with the remade glass noodle). He told me not to worry about it, that it was on the house. I felt bad because I was not trying to get any freebies, and I love supporting our local restaurants. Once in the restaurant (my first time in there), I tried paying again, and he wouldn't allow it. Told me he had not even keyed it into the system, so there was nothing to pay. Great customer service! Other items I have absolutely enjoy are their pad thai with shrimp, chicken coconut soup, the green and yellow curries, the potstickers and the egg rolls. For dessert, I have tried their mango sticky rice and the pandan churros, which are AMAZING! I'll have to search through my photos to upload later as I'm currently typing this from my work desktop. For now, time to enjoy kao soi for the first time, and it just arrived via Uber Eats :) Buon appetito to me!

Yelp
Thai District in Long Beach offers an authentic Thai dining experience with a modern twist. The ambiance is cozy and inviting, perfect for a casual meal with friends or a date night. The menu boasts a wide variety of traditional Thai dishes, each bursting with flavor and made with fresh ingredients. From classic favorites like Pad Thai and Green Curry to innovative creations like their signature District Duck, every dish is a culinary delight. There are plenty of vegan options. The service is attentive and friendly, adding to the overall enjoyable dining experience. Whether you're a Thai food enthusiast or new to the cuisine, Thai District is a must-visit spot in Long Beach.

Yelp
I would give this restaurant a million stars!!! The food here is hands down the best Thai food I have ever eaten anywhere and I love Thai food. The curries are thick with so much flavor and different variety of veggies ( most places just have bamboo shoots, cabbage and carrots) The Tom Kha Soup is so delicious. After literally hogging you somehow manage to get dessert and it blows your mind. The Sticky Rice Mango & Coconut Panna Cotta are out of this world. I have been here many times and will keep coming back.

Yelp
This place is gorgeous, and the food and service is absolutely amazing! Came here for a team dinner of 7 so thankfully got to try a bunch of dishes! We had vegans and vegetarians at the table, and there were so many tasty and friendly options. Spice level scale was really great, 1 being a slick kick and 4 being a good burn. Honestly everything we ordered was yummy! Started with appetizers: Shishito Pepper, Fresh Rolls, Brussel Sprouts, Crispy Veggie Rolls, Papaya Salad. The peanut sauce they serve is soo good! The brussel and peppers were the tables favs. Got to try a bunch of yummy entrees: duck, Soft Shell Crab Curry, Yellow Curry, fried rice, Drunken Noodles, Pad See Ew, eggplant. My personal favs were the curries and noodles! For dessert we got the apple pie, chocolate cake, mango sticky rice, and coconut panna cotta. Their take on mango sticky rice is different with purple rice, palm seeds, and ice cream. I loved the coconut panna cotta! Service was fast and staff were super friendly! They even wiped down our table after dinner before the dessert. Another great Thai food spot in Long Beach, definitely check it out!

Yelp
Had their pad Thai and panang curry which were really good! Tom yum soup was decent but more on the sweeter side. Least favorite was probably the tiger cry steak. Lychee sake was recommended over the lychee sangria and it was delicious. Staff was super friendly. Had to make reservation since it fills up quick! Cutely decorated and right in downtown if you're craving Thai.

Yelp
Came here because it was highly recommended by several folks while we were in town for a conference, and it was a comfortable walking distance from the hotel. Service was a little slow because it was so busy but the food was great! Everyone at our table enjoyed the golden bags and chicken satay (small portions for appetizers though). For mains, we really enjoyed the soft shell crab curry with heirloom rice and drunken noodles (would be better if it were spicier!). Drinks were good as well - we liked the white lychee sangria and lemongrass iced tea. The restaurant has an outdoor patio decorated with lanterns that was lovely to sit at when the weather was nice. Highly recommend this place for group dinners!

Yelp
Very intimate spot with a romantic ambiance. Two story (stairs only), family style dishes (different levels of heat) for your liking! Service is great, if not your server, the others are also around checking in on you.

Yelp
This was my first visit to Thai District but it certainly won't be my last. The service was cordial and fast but I never felt hurried. The ambience on the 2nd floor authenticallyThai. The food did not disappoint . I had chicken dumplings and crispy rolls as an appetizer and the green curry with chicken as an entree -- all of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked. If you like Thai cuisine, you have to give place a try.

Rohan E.

Yelp
The Best Thai food in Long Beach!!!! Many vegan options , great service and cozy vibes.
google avatar

Yelp
Food was just okay. Some of the dishes that ordered were Brussel sprouts, lemongrass soup and pad Thai. The noodles were very oily. :( And the lemongrass soup was way too tangy! Service and ambience were good, no complaints. Staff were friendly.

Yelp
I really love their curry. Parking is hard but worth the effort. Reasonable price for good food

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday afternoon without reservation and were seated promptly. I would suggest making a reservation as they were pretty busy. Cute decor and even had an upstairs was a nice vibe. Free parking nearby. Potstickers were great, Panag curry medium w/ jasmine rice was kind of spicy. Loved the Tom kha soup with jackfruit was lacking a little flavor. Free Thai tea or 10% off your bill (paid w/ cash) if you check in. Love the Coconut Panna Cotta for dessert. Overall had a good experience and the food came out fast and fresh. Also, the hot coffee was strong but they ran out to couldn't have a 2nd cup.

Yelp
We were in town for Trident University International graduation and found this restaurant on Yelp! I mentioned it and both my Mom and brother were like "sure"! We arrive around 8pm on the Friday night and we're absolutely lucky to be taken right to the last open table. Our waiter, Scott, comes by and gives us a terrific rundown of his recommendations on the menu. We order 3 dishes to share. My Mom and brother agree on the lamb and I order the noodles and fried rice. The food came out and as we dug in my Mom and brother were surprised. They enjoyed it. What?! Yep, I find out then that they don't like Thai. However, this Thai was delicious! If there was Thai like this at home, they would eat it all the time!!! I learned something new. Anyway, the we are everything. Dinner was so good we tried one of the desserts suggested. It sounded like strange flavors together but it tasted wonderfully. Can't recommend this restaurant enough. Even for people who aren't certain they like Thai!

Yelp
Great food and very pretty ambiance. We had panang curry with fried tofu and Thai basil with chicken. Checking in on Yelp got you a Thai tea or 10% off. We loved everything!

Yelp
MODERN THAI KITCHEN (4.5 stars) - FOOD: good - SERVICE: excellent - PRICE: fair - AMBIANCE: downtown'ish vibes I love Long Beach. It's underrated just like it's restaurants. Someone recommended this place to get dinner. It's popular amongst the residential downtown locals and after work business people - reservations are likely a must but walk-ins are also welcomed if there is availability. :: ORDERS :: LYCHEE WHITE SANGRIA ($7) - pink guava cordial, Sauvignon Blanc, fresh lychee. When you think lychee you automatically think super sweet, yes the drink was sweet but was easy to sip on. The pink guava cordial and Sauvignon Blanc were a great balance to easy the sweetness without taking it away. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THAI DISTRICT WINGS ($9) - Kaffir chicken wings. Not for me. These wings were super saucy. I prefer my chicken wings dry with seasoning - I want to taste the crispy. I felt like this was their Thai version of a buffalo wing.. Asian zing to the sauce with a little bit of heat. FRESH GINGER ($14) - choice of protein (chicken), mushrooms, scallions, celery, sesame oil. No spicy. THIS WAS SO GOOD. I ordered this mainly for the "ginger" to help ease the crazy ocean adventure I partook the next day. Ginger helps with sea sickness. This dish had a ton of ginger and scallions - very flavorful and at times overpowering but eating it with rice help balance flavor. I've had many variations of this dish and will say their take was the best I've had. HIGHLY RECOMMEND :: SERVICE :: The staff were very kind and accommodating. Attentive but not overly attentive. JABA APPROVED. Until the next review...

Yelp
This cute place is really excellent. I had wonton soup which I would give 10/10. Cucumber salad 10/10. The food was nicely presented and the service was impressive. A pleasant surprise.

Yelp
We stopped here for dinner as a party of three. Originally they gave us a wait time of an hour but we stopped nearby for a drink to wait and received a message that our table was ready maybe only 20 minutes later. The restaurant is so cute! They have a small amount of outdoor seating and then tables downstairs and upstairs. It's definitely a great date spot! We ordered the golden bags and fresh rolls to start and they currently have a Yelp check in offer where you can get a free Thai Tea when you check in. The golden bags were nice and crispy with a flavorful filling. The fresh rolls are mostly lettuce, but in a good way- very fresh and great for summer. Their peanut sauce is also great, it's on the thicker side which I liked a lot. For our entrees I got the panang curry with tofu and my friends got the drunken noodles and pad Thai. I got to try a bite of each of theirs and both were delicious. I was very happy with my dish though and it was my favorite of the three. Their curry sauce is so flavorful. The server checked on us a few times and overall the experience was great. I would absolutely make a point to visit this spot again next time I visit the area.

Yelp
I would say the best Thai food I've ever had. Every single thing is phenomenal. Tonight was my second time here; my first time was last night. Definitely make a reservation as everyone wants to eat here, understandably. The staff is so kind and professional and the decor is breathtaking. My new favorite Thai place hands down.

Tima D.

Yelp
Absolutely best! Warm welcome and delicious aroma was just the beginning. We sat outside while thoroughly devouring every delicious morsel. Every dish(I've had many) is fresh and perfectly seasoned. Do yourself a favor and try it.
google avatar

Anna Z.

Yelp
While the food was beautifully presented, there wasn't anything special about the flavors. The Thai milk tea (redeemed from Yelp check in) was more milky than tea flavored, and the staff seemed extremely stressed upon our arrival although there were not too many customers Sunday at noon. The ambiance was a little off due to this, because we felt like an inconvenience upon entering the restaurant as we were not greeted, just told to wait. The drunken noodles pictured were a tad too greasy, but the egg rolls were great, with awesome sauce for pairing. The decor was nice and perfect for a date and prices were reasonable. I would come back to try other dishes.

Yelp
First, the ambience of this place is amazing!! The interior decor was really nice. My husband and I were in the Long Beach area visiting a friend, and came in an hour before closing on a Sunday night. We were seated immediately upstairs. Be careful about where you're walking though! They have singular steps in the upstairs area that my husband tripped on (and caught himself luckily!) because he wasn't looking. I ordered their TD Thai Boat noodle and my husband ordered their Pad See Ew. TD Thai Boat Noodle: 2.5/5 I was wondering why there were no photos of this on Yelp and now I know why. This dish looked fine, and tasted just...ok. It was very bland. The beef broth didn't really taste like much of anything? Very much lacking on any beefy flavor. It just had a very fragrant, herbal taste from basil and mint leaves. It also could've used more salt in general. If you want a more flavorful thai boat noodle bar, I'd recommend S.T. Noodle Bar. I actually took the rest of my noodles home so I can add additional ingredients to it on my own. Pad See Ew: 5/5 This was absolutely delicious! It was packed with flavor and cooked perfectly! Good balance of vegetables, noodles, egg, and beef. The beef has a lovely char on it that added a nice, smoky flavor to it. I ate quite a bit of this even though it was what my husband ordered, haha. As for service, the waiters were nice enough. I'm not sure if it was because it was late or not, but they didn't stop by our table very frequently. I wanted a water refill, and had to get up to go downstairs to ask a waited to bring us the check and a to-go container. We had also wanted to order the mango sticky rice, but they were completely out of mango. Overall, I'd still rate this place well. I'd recommend people try their noodle dishes as that was by far the stand out dish of the meal. Definitely going to be back to try their Pad Thai and Drunken Noodle in the future.

Yelp
10 out of 10 for Thai District! The ambiance when you walk in the door screams authentic. The décor was very visually pleasing and welcoming. We ordered the Sate and Dumplings to start with and had the Pineapple Fried rice with chicken and the Tofu seared in the Peanut Sauce. Best Thai dishes we ever had. We HIGHLY recommend Thai District and will 100% be coming back for more!

Yelp
Reluctant to give the 3 stars but it's a must. My second time at this establishment and I must say the experience does not even compare to our first visit. My fiancé and decided to stop by for dinner on Friday night. The venue was surprisingly not that busy. We walked in and stood there for what seemed like 10 minutes without the hostess behind the cashier even acknowledging us by looking at us. When she finally acknowledged us, she told us we could be seated upstairs. As we were walking up she did tell me to " watch my step". Once we got upstairs she gave us the option of choosing a table. We chose one where no one else was around or seated. There was a step and I missed..no big deal. She proceeded to sit us, we were excited to try the food because our first experience was phenomenal. Our server walked by us several times without asking if we needed anything. When he finally did, we were ready to order. It seemed like the staff was annoyed or perhaps didn't want to work on a Friday night. Despite the lack of service, our food was delicious. Would I go back? I would. Perhaps, they had a bad night. Either way, we made the best of our dinner date.

Yelp
This place was so cute! Loved the ambiance and the service was great. Perfect for a mid-week date night. I ordered the pad see ew and a Thai iced tea and it was delicious. The Pad See Ew was packed with flavor and they give a decent portion, took some home for left overs. We also ordered the Golden Bags as an appetizer which was a wonton type wrap stuffed with crab and cheese, really good! I will definitely make this one of my new go to Thai spots in Long Beach!

Yelp
Great Thai spot in Long Beach. I usually get the Kao Soi noodles and have never been disappointed. The place itself has a nice ambiance, comfortable seating upstairs and generally fast service. It's nothing exceptional, but better than average for a Thai restaurant in Los Angeles.

Yelp
I came here for lunch and it did not disappoint! We started off with the lychee sangria to drink and this may be one of my favorite drinks now. It's the right amount of sweet. It's a very balanced drink. We got the potstickers to start for food & they were very crispy but the sauce was a bit overwhelmingly salty at times. The filling tasted good as well! I wanted something lighter for lunch so I got the crispy salad. It had chicken, mint, spinach and toasted rice in it. It was very refreshing and I liked the pieces of mint with each bite. The dressing was citrusy as well which I loved. I've had a similar salad before but I felt like they took the easy way out with the crunchy rice instead of actually having it be fresh crispy rice. We also got the pad see ew with crispy pork belly (you have to ask for it). THE PORK BELLY HERE IS SUCH A HIT. It's crispy yet a bit chewy just as you want it to be. Their pad see ew has great flavoring with the sauce & their noodles don't stick together like some places. Overall, I'd definitely be back! Really cute spot for a date night. I can tell the twinkly lights inside would be really charming at night.

Yelp
Usually if a place looks this cool, the food is not great but at Thai District they not only have the looks but the flavors to back it up. We came in on a weekday and it was a nice crowd but we were seated right away. We were seated upstairs at a nice table and were offered drinks right away. We ordered Brussels sprouts and potstickers for apps and they were delicious. We ate every bite. For our mains we ordered the yellow curry, shrimp fried rice, and the pad se ew. Each dish was better than the next. Flavors were on point, spice levels were perfect. Probably the best Thai meal I've had in a while. I'm so glad I work close by because I now crave TD on a regular basis! Yum!
