"While most Thai restaurants have plenty of meatless options, this Tenderloin restaurant removed the guesswork, as all its offerings are meat-free — yes, that even means fish and seafood are off the menu. Dishes include classics like papaya salad and pad thai, and the spot also offers fresh takes on standards like fried rice and faux meat." - Paolo Bicchieri, Eater Staff

"This Tenderloin Thai spot serves it all, both during the lunch rush and even after you get back from the bar. On top of that, the entire expansive menu is filled to the brim with vegetarian options. We recommend ordering the pad kee mow noodles - pan-fried noodles with chili, garlic, onions, bell pepper, bamboo shoot, tomatoes, and basil - all washed down with a soy Thai Iced tea. For vegan diners, remember to specify any accommodations you need, and enjoy the wide array of vegan meat alternatives too." - Grace Stetson

Khob khun ka ขอบคุณค่ะ A local, family-ran Thai eatery boasting an authentic and all vegetarian vibrant, flavorsome and mouth-drooling menu at low-key fare off of chinatown. They have a plethora of tofu-based dishes and also do a bunch of their own special homemade veggie imitation proteins. I got the Pad Baby Corn Tofu and Pad Eggplant Tofu which were incredibly yummy, very well seasoned with a knockout flavor and plentiful portions and a nice texture. Support local businesses!

Google
Amazing and tasty vegan food. Jain options available in most of the items. We tried jain red Thai curry, spring rolls, fried tofu and mango sticky rice. The restaurant is clean and good. Parking is little difficult to find.

Are all the reviews even real?! 🤨 Like everyone is saying the location is the most disgusting place I've been to, to get food. So the food is OKAY not the hype I've been reading from the reviews... but the portion were soo small (we did a take away). Also you can see that while I was eating I also found the vegetable tag inside my food and the next day eating the lamb curry I found hair 🤦🏻‍♀️. It was definitely eye opening for us, to not trust the reviews and to choose an upscale restaurant or at least something that it's worth it. And this is a real review!!

Google
Service, Cleanliness, and Food- all the things a great restaurant has, and Thai India has it all and more. Let me also just add that I ordered this food 3/5 days of my trip to SF… yes its that good! The service was amazing- staff was friendly, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We could not believe how incredibly clean the tables and floors were. Super up-kept and you really dont find that everywhere. Now lets talk food.. We ordered the fresh young coconut oh my god it was incredibly fresh and afterwards I ate the inside malai (coconut meat) and it was so so good- ordered this everyday for three days.. Then we got the Tom Yum Soup- it was DELICIOUS. So hot and fresh and it honestly cured me of feeling sick- i felt so energized and fresh after eating this (it is spicy so beware). Next we got the pad thai, it was delicious again and all the perfect levels of sweet and savory. I also got the golden cauliflower which again was great! Cucumber salad also a great choice. Definitely returning here when i’m back in SF- love this place!

Google
I recommend this restaurant, the food is really good. The personnel was really kind. All of the food was great, but the Yellow Thai "Lamb" Curry was specially delicious, one of the best dishes I've tasted. I would come back just for it!

Google
I went here a week ago and can't wait to go back! This was the spicy tofu noodle dish (I forget the name) and it was only $12! Incredibly tasty and great atmosphere. This place is known for their incredible vegan mock meats. I can't wait to go back and try more items!

Google
Amazing food, polite and friendly staff. The chef takes a lot of care in their taste and as well as the presentation. The food is a delight. It will be a treat for non-vegetarians as well and might actually convince people to move to plant based food. The Volcanic beef or any other item from the chef’s special section is a must try. As for people complaining about the area, yes it’s the tenderloin, which happens to be the place for best Thai and Vietnamese food in the entire city. I don’t see any sense for docking review stars for their location

Google
Quick, laid back restaurant with tasty food. We got there right before the kitchen closed, and were very grateful they were so welcoming and willing to serve us! We ordered the pad see ew, fish rolls, and a few other items. All of our dishes were good.

Yelp
Love this place!! It is my favorite curry in SF. Will it still be reopening in January 2025?! :(

Constanze B.

Yelp
This place has really delicious Thai food. I'm not vegetarian, but my friend is and I believe the food still encapsulates the deliciousness of Thai food . The restaurant wasn't busy, but the employee was super attentive and kind to us. The restaurant is very cute and neat! I would definitely come here again :)

Cassandra J.

Yelp
To be honest, despite it saying "vegetarian" in the name, it didn't click that all the food on the menu is 100% veggie-friendly! Using various types of fake meat substitutes, you can get everything from beef to chicken to fish and you won't miss it. We ordered the chicken satays, larb salad, and pad gra prow, so all three were heavy "meat" dishes. We didn't realize it until we got everything that we had ordered the "chicken", when we normally would try to spread it out to try the different kinds, but oh well. Everything we got was delicious! Well cooked, well seasoned, properly spicy, and you're definitely able to choose your heat level. (Fair warning, I did find the mild to have a bit of heat to it, but it's really very tolerable). We got there just as they opened so there wasn't anyone else in at the time and we got very good service. You do have to knock/ring a doorbell to get in, since they seem to keep the door locked due to the location, but don't let that deter you. It's really great inside and worth the trip in.

Niveditha S.

Yelp
Small, and cute place with a cozy atmosphere. It was lively and not too crowded. The service was very efficient and quick. One waiter did and managed everything beautifully The food was excellent. Everything was hot, tasty and so desirable. We tried the crispy tofu which was super tasty. We tried the pad thai, pad ki mao, red curry and massaman curry all of which were very tasty. The prices are not too expensive. 100% recommend.

Yelp
Firecracker Balls: had to order this from all the Yelp reviews raving about it. Definitely tasty but not as memorable as I'd hoped. Tastes very much like a fried spicy tuna roll which was impressive Pineapple Fried Rice: This dish was a miss. Not super tasty and did not love the texture of the imitation shrimp and its taste in particular too. The pineapple and cashews were fine but I would skip this Spicy Catfish: standout of the night! Savory, spicy and overall super flavorful. Also loved the baby corn I came here with a friend and was impressed in particular by 1) how every dish is vegetarian or vegan and 2) the inside decor which was super nice. I would definitely come back to try the spicy catfish and to try some of the other items of the menu. You do need to ring the doorbell to get in. The service was pretty good but it wasn't too busy.

Denise C.

Yelp
This restaurant was nice to try..I didn't know it was vegetarian Thai food..I was caught off guard..the chicken noodle soup was vegetarian meat and I liked trying it..my mom wasn't here..the desert was mango ice cream crepe..fun..it's been here for a while..two other people sat together..overhead them talking..It was on Polk and fun to try

Kayla B.

Yelp
Don't let the area surrounding this restaurant deter you. The staff was very friendly and we were seated immediately. Inside is very comforting with cute decor. Everything is either vegan or vegetarian and as a non vegan or vegetarian I wouldn't say flavors suffered at all. We got the satay chicken, golden cauliflower and green curry. The Satay chicken was hard for me to get behind because of the texture but the peanut sauce was great. The golden cauliflower I think is a must appetizer- crisp to perfection with a great tamarind sauce. Star of the show was for sure the green curry- so flavourful. Only critique is the crispy wontons get soggy in the broth and look quite unappetizing after you let them sit so eat them immediately lol. Would come again if I had company with dietary preferences/restrictions.

Yelp
I was recommended this restaurant by my coworker, and it did not disappoint! After ringing the doorbell to enter the restaurant, the first thing I noticed was how clean the restaurant was, and how friendly the waitress was. I tried their green curry with chicken and it was amazing! The curry was super creamy with sweet and spicy notes, and the vegetables were crunchy and fresh. What really stood out was that the vegan meat does not taste like the weird, processed vegan meats that are sold at other places. The chicken, while not as thick as the standard chicken meat, still tasted like meat and was flavored well. I also tried a bite of the vegan lamb and the texture was even better! They got the flavor down, too! I look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Oh my God. I'm writing this review while eating from here. Ordered take out. Pad kee mao and green curry. Honestly I was blown away by the flavor and the fake meat. Cooked to perfection. Ordered medium level of spicy but was daaamn spicy. I don't think this is medium by any kinda normal standards. Phew. Had some special instructions which were taken into account while prepping our take out. Good service, quick delivery and I'm hoping decent ambiance? Will a 100 percent order again from here. Vegetarian/vegan approved and verified.

Apoorva R.

Yelp
I love their food and brownie points for this place being completely vegetarian with lots of vegan options! I have dined in here once before the pandemic and the ambiance + service was amazing! I recently got takeout from here and it was delicious. I got pad kee mao with tofu, massaman curry and mango sticky rice! Would really recommend this place to everyone. I do want to note that unfortunately the neighborhood around the restaurant is a little bit sketchy (esp if you are parking and walking to this place) so please be mindful of your safety!

Yelp
I believe their menu is 90% vegan at this point and they'll label something vegetarian otherwise. Regardless your diet preference, the wonderful flavors and options here are truly something to appreciate here in the City. You can expect to find all of the Thai staples you're used to, except everything is 100% plant based. Don't think about it too much as you'll likely not even care afterwards given how delicious everything tasted. - Firecracker Balls ($11.25) were like it's name... absolutely FIRE. Crunchy panko crusted bites which really resembled a fried tuna roll. A must start to your meal. - Tom Kha Veggies ($14) is a classic coconut-milk based soup with plenty of veggies and tofu. You really can't go wrong with this dish. - Rad Na ($14) - these flat-wide noodles cooked in a gravy sauce with mock meats were packed with flavor. The gravy was delicious and not overly oily. - Roasted Duck Curry ($14) was also a huge hit. There were plenty of veggies and the creamy, red curry they used complimented well with the piping hot sticky rice bundles ordered on the side. We ended the meal with their homemade Fried Banana and Ice Cream ($10), a melty goodness and tasty way to finish off a hearty meal. Thank you Thai Idea for a wonderful dinner. I so appreciate this option being available and one I will recommend to friends that visit the City.

Yelp
Wait...I've never written a review for literally one of my favorite Veg restaurants in SF?? Wild. Well, better late than never! I discovered Thai Idea NINE (9) years ago when I first moved to SF from San Jose. At this time, I've been vegan for only 3 years...the year is 2013 and vegan food culture is still young. No impossible or beyond meats, only 1 type of vegan cheese existed and it tasted like oil. Veganism was started to gain popularity, but was still mostly kept to people who identified as vegan or plant-based. So for a Thai restaurant to be completely vegetarian (~85% vegan with a few dishes that have egg or dairy) and to do it so amazingly well is beyond their time! You had a massive and full traditional Thai menu, all plant-based, with MULTIPLE protein options! No more boring vegetables & tofu, they provide vegan chicken, beef, shrimp, and duck! Sheesh! I've tried so many dishes throughout the years but here are some of my favorites: Firecracker Balls: Oh the balls of glory! Deep-fried Panko-crusted sushi pieces with what tastes like Ahi tuna & mayo on the inside. YUM. Everyone loves these, vegan or not. It's just so crispy and warm, slightly gooey once you bite into it, and warm. GET THIS. Larb Salad: Very tough to find vegan larb in other Thai restaurants,.When I find them it's made with tofu. Here, it's made with vegan chicken so it actually tastes like the authentic real thing. SO GOOD. I ate a lot of larb as a child so this hits the nostalgic factor for me. Pad Thai: I know I know...I can get Pad Thai at any Thai restaurant...but can you get it with vegan chicken or beef??? NO. Plus, it actually tastes really good compared to the overdried or underseasoned ones you may find. This most recent time I ordered a thai iced tea...with VEGAN ICE CREAM. It was a Thai Iced Cream Float. My heart...it definitely pushed me over the edge of fullness but damn it was good. Happy to see Thai Idea still thriving after the pandemic, and with a refreshed interior design! It's so nice to be able to eat classic Thai dishes and have a full menu of options, there's no sacrifices in choice or taste here. Plus, the service is top-notch. One woman served the whole restaurant and she had her timing down to a tee. Not one service step was missed. Not one phone call was left unanswered. She had to-go orders wrapped up and in hand before the Doordash driver could even knock on the door. My partner and I actually watched in awe as she swiftly danced across the restaurant non-stop. As a former server, I know that it is NOT easy to manage all those people and orders and make it look as effortless as it did. Bravo.

Yelp
I used to come here often so decided to come to celebrate my bday , the staff was wonderful & very attentive. The presentation of the food was truly beautiful. We ordered three different dishes, I used to love the catfish but I found it very salty , the duck had way too much pastry. The eggplant dish was ok. Also, it seems that the portions gotten tiny since the last time I was here few years back. Overall I feel that the portions were too small & food was too salty. The mango sticky rice was yummy. CC accepted

Yelp
I was looking for dinner in the area and saw that this place had good reviews so I decided to stop by. When you get to the front you'll have to buzz the door in order to get in. Despite its name they do serve meat on the menu but a lot of their menu is all vegan (as labeled on their menu). I got the pad thai with chicken ($13.95) which was flavorful and a solid dish. I prefer pad thais that aren't sweet and this was not one of those. If you are vegetarian or vegan this is a great place to go because there are plenty of options and fake meats if you want. If you are a meat lover you'll still have your standard meat options for the typical Thai fare so there's something for everyone.

Marybeth S.

Yelp
Disappointing delivery from Thai Idea tonight. Tom Kha soup was overly sweet with wayyyy too many onions, which were undercooked. I also got the pad ginger, and added a note to please add broccoli, but did not get any broccoli. The only vegetables included in the dish were green and red peppers, mushrooms and again, way too many onions. They used to include at least a couple eggplant pieces and (their always very tough) string beans in this dish. Not much meatless chicken either, so it was mostly a dish of undercooked peppers and onions. Very skimpy portions as well, which is standard for this place, but I overlooked it in the past when the food was better. The plain rice was well cooked. Too bad because I'd love to continue patronizing a vegetarian Thai restaurant, but don't think I'll be ordering from Thai Idea again.

Emily L.

Yelp
I love that there are so many vegetarian options on the menu. The pad thai and samosas were both delicious. The restaurant was super clean and staff was friendly. The restaurant's front door is locked so you need to wait for staff to let you in. It's nice to be able to enjoy your meal in peace knowing that there's that extra layer of security.

Lydia L.

Yelp
Several vegetarian/non-vegetarian coworkers strongly recommended Thai Idea, so we decided to come check it out. For four people we ordered a Volcanic Beef, a Tom Yum Fried Rice, a Thai Idea Duck, and a Pumpkin Curry w/ Tofu. Both Volcanic Beef and Tom Yum Fried Rice were solid 4.5/5 - packed with flavors, good variety of fresh ingredients, and balanced portion of soy protein and veggies. The volcanic beef has a nice kick of spiciness, and the tom yum fried rice was no less refreshing than any of the tom yum broth I've had before. Pumpkin curry was good in a mediocre way - nothing about it really stood out, especially if you are not a curry enthusiast. Thai Idea Duck was my least favorite among the four dishes. I had high expectation for it since it was listed in the Chef's recommendations, but it disappointed - the soy protein was falling apart possibly due to overcooked, the sauce didn't have much flavor so the broccolis were bland, and the dipping sauce tasted weird. Nothing about this dish was particularly enjoyable. My vegetarian friends enjoyed the food here, but it didn't live up to my expectation. I've had way better vegetarian Thai food in Seattle.

Maryam B.

Yelp
It was my first time here. I went on a Sunday around 3 pm . It was easy to find a parking . The restaurant is very clean and they have super nice and welcoming staff . I ordered a pad Thai. It had a very nice presentation. But they served the food after 2 minutes from my order !!!! How is it possible to make a pad Thai in 2 minutes. The food was not too fresh and it didn't taste as it supposed to be . I am a Thai food lover and I tried pad Thai in different locations in different part of the world . This was not a good pad Thai . I will be back though to try something else .

Lisa X.

Yelp
Upon arrival, I was buzzed into this restaurant. Once inside, it's nicely decorated and has a cozy feel. Vegetarian crab Rangoon was crispy and delicious. The vegetarian spicy catfish had a distinctive taste: spicy, salty with heavy notes of young green Thai peppercorn. The coconut water was perfect accompaniment to this spicy and flavorful meal. Service was friendly. Restaurant is located in the Hotel EPIK building that is in the TL district.

Yelp
Love love love this place and only wish it was much closer to us in the east bay! Because of the neighborhood and for COVID-safe measures + SF ordinance, they have the front door locked and you just ring the doorbell (how quaint!) They they check your vaccine card and you're good and safe dining in. This time we got the veggie larb, veggie duck, and veggie beef. Everything was great and my favorite was the veggie duck which had such a special flavor and so many layers of different textures. I also got the special Thai ice tea float with vegan ice-cream! Whoa so creamy and looks cool too! I wanna go back soon and explore more dishes but of course get the thai iced tea float again!

Pratham V.

Yelp
I went to this place on a weekend. We were a party of 4 (including me). Their appetizers are below average in taste and quality: we ordered the corn appetizer and a wild vegan chicken one, they are bland to taste. Their main course is average: we ordered the avocado panang curry, pai khee mao noodles and spicy fried rice. Their desserts are average too: we ordered the lychee ice tea and thai iced tea. Overall, the service is average as well.

Brittney D.

Yelp
As someone who isn't vegetarian, I'm not sure if I would come back. But then again, I got the papaya salad and without fish sauce I think it loses a lot of flavor for me. Really garlicky. My friends who are vegetarian though really enjoyed their meals and theirs did taste good! The shrimp fried rice was great, the shrimps looked very accurate too (:

Yelp
After our all time fav Thai place closed down, Mr & I have been trying to find a replacement but let me tell ya, it's been impossible! Everywhere we tried refused to leave out the fish sauce & that's a showstopper for us........enter Thai Idea Vegetarian No meat, no fish sauce, oyster sauce or anything on our naughty list & they provide a means to make their dishes as hot as we want! In addition to all our dishes, we got extra containers of this super-duper-hot-hot-hot sauce so we could turn up the heat as high as we wanted......brilliant! Ordered the corn tower & cauliflower as appetizers & they were flavorful & reminded us our old fav Then we went totally overboard & ordered huge but those dishes lasted us multiple meals & we felt like we more than got our money's worth. On the list we enjoyed: Pad Thai Pumpkin Curry Massaman Curry Rad Na Pineapple Fried Rice We'd get it all again......like maybe tonight? Delivery was earlier than projected. Everything was there & this was way too easy & if that's not as good as it gets, I don't know what is

Emmanuel S.

Yelp
This food was delicious!! I love Thai food and I've been to many restaurants and this was top two that I've had to date. Presentation was amazing. Taste 11/10 and the service was truly amazing. Would recommend this in a heartbeat

Maria W.

Yelp
SO MUCH FOOD!!! It was an endless and delicious buffet of authentic Thai cuisine... made with vegan/vegetarian ingredients! As Thai is what I've missed the most since going plant-based, this restaurant really came as a blessing; all the familiar flavors, served up on gleaming platters topped with tofu and substitute meat. It was the perfect birthday dinner. The only drawbacks were that the the spring rolls were a bit bland and all the "meat" has about the same texture, but these cons pale in comparison to the sheer amount of mouth-watering dishes, brought out to us at a lightning-fast pace by the sweetest waitress; shoutout to her and to the kitchen (especially since we spilled out water not once, but twice; my dad and I have the same clumsy habits unfortunately). The pad thai was just as good as I expected, the firecracker balls were the perfect amount of spicy and crunchy, the satay chicken had the most flavorful peanut sauce I've ever tasted, and the vindaloo curry was pure bliss, with fresh and flaky roti to dip into it. That, and the spicy catfish (crispy, SO flavorful), were my favorite dishes. All of these I would order again and again. We tried three desserts: the fried banana and ice cream (please try these if you've never had them; they're at most Thai restaurants and have been one of my favorite desserts since childhood), the crepe (tasty), and the mango sticky rice (which, I've said before and I'll say it again, is one of the best desserts ever; and this one didn't disappoint!). If I had to pick one of the desserts, though, I'd pick the fried banana with ice cream; the mix of warm, sweet, crispy bananas and cold, creamy, smooth coconut ice cream is just *chef's kiss*.

Yelp
Consistently good food & service here. Friendly staff. Best Thai Vegan & vegetarian restaurant. I recommend:)

Jay C.

Yelp
Thai Idea is as good as I remember it. A friend who was visiting was in the neighborhood which was the perfect opportunity to visit the restaurant since things started to reopen. The Papaya Salad is always a refreshing choice especially on a warm day. The Wing Bomb is a classic and a must have. Knowing we had two solid dishes, we felt adventurous and ordered the Spicy Catfish which blew our expectations. I'm currently into peppercorn and this dish had an abundance of that floral-spice mix that I love. So many good things to choose from the menu that I easily forget that Thai Idea is not vegan. Just make sure to tell your waiter so they can make the necessary adjustments.

Sheel S.

Yelp
What a unique restaurant with such interesting dishes! Here is what I got and my ratings accordingly: 1. Firecracker balls (appetizer): SO SO good. The crunch mixed with the savory flavor just melted in your mouth. Highly recommend. 4.7/5. 2. Golden cauliflower (appetizer): wasn't too overwhelmed with this dish as it was a pretty standard sweet crispy cauliflower dish you can get anywhere. 2/5. 3. Pad kee mow: THE BEST DISH HERE! Such a good flavor profile with a nice little kick when asked for with medium spice. Could not stop eating this dish with the fake chicken. 5/5. 4. Spicy lemongrass beef: not as good as I anticipated it to be. Definitely was nice and spicy but compared to the pad kee mow, this was a little more underwhelming. Texture of the "beef" was very interesting though. 3/5. DRINKS: Very well made thai tea!

Yoke T.

Yelp
Loved the food here! The sushi bombs are amazing. I highly recommend you order them. Just note that if the food is listed as spicy, they mean it. Additionally, the area did not feel particularly safe as the workers kept the front door locked at all times.

Melanie J.

Yelp
Came here on a visit from Sacramento with my vegetarian friend on a Friday during lent so I was also not eating meat. Everything was delicious and I didn't miss not having meat one bit. Actually thought that I'd easily be able to go veg if I could eat like this often. I preferred the dishes to other non-veg Thai meals, so I thoroughly recommend Thai Idea to vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike. We got the fresh salad rolls, fried cauliflower, pad Thai with "chicken" and mixed veggie stir fry. Everything was so fresh and spot on delicious! Like others have said the neighborhood is sketch but once you're inside it's all good. Happy to have this on my list of places to stop in for lunch while in the city.

Pallavi M.

Yelp
Was brought here for a date & honestly the place isn't located in the safest area and there were people displaced outside of the restaurant. Had an extremely long menu which made it hard to decide what to choose. Nothing out of the ordinary in terms of taste

David D.

Yelp
Places like this make me wish I lived in SF. We were on our way to the SF Symphony trying to find a place to eat dinner -- and it seemed everyone else was closed this Saturday evening right before easter. Thankfully, Thai Idea was opened. They seated us immediately, were super friendly, and OH MY GOD the fried tofu appetizer was the best I'd ever had at any Thai restaurant. We followed up with pad thai which was also very good. Then dessert came, which we normally skip, but I'm so glad we didn't because their fried banana with ice cream was AMAZING. It's especially nice to know that everything here was vegetarian or vegan, and now I have a new favorite Thai place for the next time I'm in the city.

Darshan T.

Yelp
I wish the food was as good as the picture posted!! I'd surely not recommend any appetizers. Entrees are still okay but not the best. Spicy Thai basil fried Rice and Panang Thai curry are your safest bets if you want to give it a try. Also, I'd not recommend driving to this place

Rakesh P.

Yelp
No Onion Garlic options abound. Tasty and fresh. Bit pricey but it's SF. Service is thoughtful

Kaida A.

Yelp
Very flavorful and delicious. I ordered the "BBQ Chicken" plate over rice. The "chicken" was tasty but it didn't taste like "chicken" my best description would be: it was like a turkey spam. I was not fond of the Thai Iced coffee because I like my coffee super sweet and it was more like a slightly sweetened black coffee. We went as a work outing with coworkers and everyone was very pleased with the food. Most of them ordered the Thai Tea with their meal. (which was very sweet and delicious) The staff & service was great. They were very pleasant and attentive. However it's not in the best area so be careful where you park. There were a lot of crackheads running around the streets it looked like the zombie apocalypse out there but once you're inside the restaurant it's very nice. You have to ring the doorbell to get in and they lock the door behind you so you're safe inside.

Yelp
We had a wonderful experience at Thai Idea which serves all vegetarian food with plenty of vegan and GF options. Our favorites across the board were our appetizers. - Satay chicken is a MUST - amazing texture and taste with the peanut sauce. - The crab cakes are also delicious! They have a great sauce and crispy onions or scallions on top. - The cauliflower appetizer was kind of bland to me but it was my mom's favorite so, clearly a matter of taste/preference! - Larb Salad - so hard to find this dish vegan/vegetarian! It's one of my favorites and I think they use TVP in their version. Refreshing and savory all at once The corn appetizer was mostly fried/breading and not a lot of corn. It's the only thing I wouldn't order again. My dad got the Bangkok duck entrée and it was also really good. And finally, I got a vegan Thai iced tea! Also hard to find and it was absolutely delicious. I think I finished it in 5 minutes! The waitress serving us was so attentive, really funny, and very sweet with my elderly aunt. She made the experience that much better! Tip: several of the dishes were fried when we weren't expecting it, so I would ask to confirm if that's something you don't want.

Yelp
We went there for early dinner. We ordered Tom Kha soup (Vegan) , Green Curry (doesn't come with rice) & Pad See Ew(Vegetarian) & Sticky rice. Everything was amazing in taste. Service was nice and fast. Quantity was generous and prices are reasonable. Will be definitely coming back!

Yelp
Unfortunately they are no longer in business! We were in San Francisco a year ago and we ate there twice. So on our recent visit we were excited to go back, but much to our dismay there was a no longer in business sign on the front door.

Yelp
I came here for a dinner on Christmas with a large group of family and friends, and the food was great! We were looking for a great vegan place to come for dinner, and this place was perfect. We were able to be seated immediately in a large group, and the service was really good as well. First, we ordered the Tom Kha which was so good! Next, we got the green curry, which was served in such a creative way with a piece of roti prata inside. This was definitely my favorite dish of the meal! Along with this we ordered the Veggie Pad Thai, Pineapple Fried Rice, and the Vegan Volcanic Beef, all of which I would definitely recommend! And for dessert, we got the Mango Sticky rice, which was of course wonderful! Overall, this was a great place to come for dinner, especially in large groups! The food was so creative and tasty, and I would definitely come here again!

Yelp
This place is really good. I can't believe everything is vegetarian. I've recently became a vegetarian and it's hard after a lifetime of eating meat, but places like this really help. The service was great, drinks were not bad and ambulance inside was quiet. We visited on a Saturday morning...so maybe thats not a good judge. The place was very clean and bright. Looking forward to being a regular here.

Yelp
One of the best, if not the best, of our vegetarian options in SF. Varied dishes. Food and service are always on point.

Yelp
We fly to San Francisco 1-2 times a year primarily to eat here. The Tom Kha soup with veggie chicken is one of the best things I have ever eaten in my life. The staff are really great too. See you soon!

Yelp
The flavors and food was amazing. Love the menu and selections. Didn't feel like i was eating at a vegetarian restaurant from start to end.

Yelp
This place was amazing with very good service. The dishes exceeded my expectation for the location it was in. Highly recommend if you are looking for a ton of veggies!

Yelp
Their food is incredibly tasty and the service was excellent. I had a spicy noodle dish with peanut sauce on the side. All vegan and yummy!

Yelp
Amazing service, the sweetest staff. Food was a good portion and flavorful. Support this company as the location isn't as ideal anymore and is causing less traffic.

Yelp
PLEASE NOTE: This review is for delivery. I wanted to like this place more than I actually did, but unfortunately it just missed the mark for me. Ordering online was super easy, the delivery came a little later than estimated, but the portions were generous (ever feel like when you order takeout/delivery, sometimes a restaurant gets a little skimpy on serving size? Not here!). However: as many others had noted, the tofu pad thai was mediocre at best. It was a third bean sprouts, a third spiraled carrots, and a third congealed noodles. So congealed that the provided fork and spoon did nothing except for lift the entire block of noodles up in one square-shaped patty. The fresh salad rolls weren't much better; I dismantled several to just eat the meager insides (of lettuce, carrots, and tofu) and the thick rice paper surrounding it all was nearly as long as my forearm! However... those crab rangoon? Whoa. I would order from here again just for boxes and boxes of those. They really hit the spot - crunchy, greasy, and bursting with a gooey filling - the sweet and spicy sauce they came with were the perfect accompaniment. However, I'll echo what others have said, *how* are these vegan?! Overall, I just think this is a spot where you need to work your way through the menu to find that go to item!

Yelp
Food was pretty good and did not disappoint though my pad see ew taste bland, flavor just did not pop out. What I did appreciate was that it did not have the burnt taste as every plate at a different restaurant has had when I order this. That being said the service we got was amazing. My wife ordered the ring plate because someone in yelp put a picture with wrong name. I wife mentioned that it didn't look like what she ordered and the waitress kindly mentioned that the picture was another plate. Some minutes late she came out with a new plate for my wife. We hadn't asked or pushed for it. Once she told us about the picture we where cool with it. She was very aware when needed our water filled. She brought out a stable business card holder so our daughter could put the phone in and watch her remaining part of her video. To a homeless who came in she graciously gave a cup of water. One of if not the best waiter I've ever seen
