Thai Thai Review - Lakewood - Cleveland - The Infatuation

"Thai Thai’s owner wanted to serve food that her mom would cook at home, and she even has her mother’s help in the restaurant’s kitchen. The best things here are the potstickers, spicy green papaya salad, and lemongrass-barbecued chicken on a stick. They get creative with the bubble teas, especially flashy specials like the Thai tea-churro creation or the unicorn with a sprinkled donut halo. The space is on the smaller side, so forgo the group dinner and bring you don’t mind sharing a straw with to swap slurps of each other’s boba flavor. Afterward, wander over to Cleveland Curiosities or Souvenir to browse some antiques." - Kate Bigam Kaput

Thai Time Review - Richmond - San Francisco - The Infatuation

"This snug Thai restaurant in the Richmond has an extensive menu of noodles, curries, and soups, from pad see ew and tom yum to mas sa mun curry. One thing you shouldn’t leave without ordering is the creamy kao soy—it’ll stick in your mind for weeks after you eat it all up. The yellow curry broth is rich with so much flavor you’ll immediately have regrets about not ordering more. And for now, it’s takeout and delivery only." - Julia Chen

I ordered the grilled pork chop over rice through Uber Eats, and honestly, it was one of the worst meals I’ve ever had. The pork chop was super tough and had a weird, almost cloth-like taste—just really unpleasant. My dinner is ruined! Definitely not ordering from here again.

Very small shop, super fast, and tasty! I got the lunch special chicken pad see ew. Noodle is super bouncy and the chicken is super flavorful and not dry at all

i walked in here 30 min before closing at 9:30 on a friday night and the cashier was so nice. she asked if i was a student since i looked young (which i was) and applied student discount for me. then my credit card got declined for $17 because i only had $13 left in my limit. i stood there awkwardly trying to figure it out for 7 minutes. i explained my situation and then she told me she can just charge me $13 for my pad udon chicken. such friendly service and fast too. will definitely come back to try their mango sticky rice

Hi! I randomly found this place on the Instacart/UberEats app (though moving forward, I realize I can order directly from the restaurant - which I hope makes them more money than using a delivery app!) Everything was great! Seriously. I love it. Idk if it's a "hidden" gem, but it's certainly a gem! Delicious red curry with mock duck ("extra spicy"! Yum!), the crab rangoon were fresh and a good size, and I really enjoyed the mango rice. Prices were reasonable and portions were filling - I have leftovers! I'm looking forward to picking up from the restaurant one day and trying more from the menu, like their noodles and drinks next :) Highly recommend!

The food is really good. Pad Kra Pow is an authentic Thai taste. Pork belly soup is a little bit sweet soup but it is taste good with the sour sauce. Pork belly is soft. I recommend this soup. I'll come back and grab some food again.

Google
Large portion and it looked great. HOWEVER I ordered mild. This was so spicy I could only eat 2 bites. I was so disappointed I couldn’t eat it. My mouth was on fire. So either I was given super spicey or their mild is spicey to begin with. Idk. Won’t order from here again. Waste of $30. And the delivery guy asked for money when i already paid.

All I can say is YUM! This place opened up right by me a few weeks ago, and they do not miss on any of their dishes. It's the perfect level of spice, and so delicious. The chive pancake is also to die for and all of their teas! I'll be coming back here plenty more times.

I love this place. My favorite dishes are the pad udon and chive pancakes. They give student discounts and the food is SO delicious. The prices are pretty reasonable but I wish I could eat here for free lol— I’d be here every day. High ly recommend :’)

Yelp
Baffled how the rating isn't higher for this place. I've been here probably 3 times in the last month and each time I've been amazed at how flavorful the dishes are. It's hard to choose a favorite because everything has been good -- the reason that I have no pics is because I have devoured everything before remembering to take photos (all three times.) So far have tried the golden bag, the curry puff, the pad kee mao, the pink chinese sausage fried rice, the eggplant basil and the Kao Krapow. All have been hits. I would caution that the food is spicy, so be aware. Also genuinely confused about the comments about value -- this is the least expensive Thai option in the area. It's one of the things that drew me to try it in the first place. So I'd say great value, great taste. It's definitely a neighborhood fav for me.

Yelp
Very convenient location. Fast service. Food tastes amazing every-time I've gone. Have to pass by every time I'm in the area.

Yelp
Just tried this place and thoroughly impressed. I usually order from Nana Thai Street, but figured I'd try something new since it was closer. Prices were much better and portions the same - normally Nana charges an extra $3 just for peanut dipping sauce with the summer rolls, but here it came with it. Also found the Tom Kha much more flavorful and with more vegetables. Also really enjoyed the Silky Tofu app - it was different and very fresh. The sauce it came with reminded me of a lighter Agedashi tofu sauce. I found the scallions to be a little overpowering and would probably skip that next time but otherwise, loved it!

Yelp
Read others reviews and ended up agreeing with the nay sayers. 1) food portion is small for $16+tax 2) very bland even I cook better than theirs if I use a can of good Thai sauce 3) so many nearby Thai restaurants are much tastier. Best to skip this place, unless you aren't ordering the standard dishes that others don't sell. 4) most likely not a Thai chef hence not authentic tasting

Yelp
I ordered 30 minutes before closing via GrubHub, then read the yelp reviews AFTER I placed my order and decided to keep my expectations low. My mother is Thai, so I admit that I'm pretty particular about true authentic Thai flavors. My order came 15 minutes before the allotted time, (but I only live 2 blocks away), and I was pleasantly surprised! I ordered the veggie spring rolls, papaya salad and green curry. Everything was freshly made, and the spring rolls and curry were still very warm. I sometimes worry that won't be the case when I order so close to closing time. The spring rolls were actually slightly larger than other places I order from and were so crispy and delicious. The papaya salad had the perfect amount of flavors, which can be hard to find -- great balance of fish sauce and lime juice. AND I chose the spicy option, and it was TRULY SPICY! Or as my mother says, "Thai spicy, not American spicy" lol. The green curry was also spicy and on point! They even gave a full carton of rice (there are some places that only give the small cartons unless you play more). I'm definitely impressed with what I ordered and felt compelled to write a review after reading the not-so-good ones. The serving sizes were all on par with other Thai restaurants that I order from, so I'm not sure where the complaints are coming from regarding the small serving sizes -- unless that changed since those reviews were written. And I'm kind of a snob about Thai flavors, but everything tasted very authentic to me! I plan to make Thai Time my new go-to, especially since they are so close. I am not at all affiliated with this restaurant, but just want to give credit where it's due! :)

Yelp
The service was FAST! Under 10 mins and very friendly. I got their lunch special, but it wasn't since I still paid the full price and didn't want their salad or soda. They wouldn't sub for an appetizer. The food is ok, but $16 dollars is just too much for this (the lunch special is the same as the normal price food it just comes with soda and salad). They will not survive. They're in a location that has a yearly turn over rate with a new business. I work next door and the price doesn't match the food quality. They need to think about their customer base; schools/hospital. My pad Thai was hot, nicely presented but a bit underwhelming for flavors.

Yelp
We did a pickup order to try this new spot out. The krapow burrito was quite a sad little one compared to the Nana Thai Street and Goong Muk Karee had really big chucks of scallion stalk in the mix but missing the celery. The staff was friendly enough as I pickup the food and the over was ready on time and the spot does not have much seating inside. Very much a grab n go place. I would not be returning.

Yelp
Was so happy to see this place pop up on 23rd st. Loved all the vegan options which is what prompted me to try it. We spent over $80 for take out for 2 people. For context : This is not a Fancy place....its a hole in the wall type...clean and small and nice but we aren't talking Nobu here... The food tasted good and the staff was very nice..... my reason for a low score was a really really small disapointing portion size. Like.....really small. We ordered the same amount of things we do from other Thai restaurants and we always have leftovers. From Thai time we had no leftovers and I had to make an extra salad as we were still hungry. Yes the food was good but there simply wasn't enough of it that it makes me ponder a repeat order or making this in our usually rotation. Mali and Bangkok 2 (both in the hood) serve similar quality food with way more generous portions. Also for context- I'm not a HUGE eater, I have an appetite In the typical range for an adult. Noodles are cheap. Vegetables are cheap Tofu is cheap. Let's not be so stingy with the portions guys!

Yelp
I started going to this Thai place two weeks ago and quickly became a regular customer. The Thai tea & coffee are delicious and as a STUDENT it was amazing that they offered a 10% discount. I told my friends about it, and they gained several DAILY customers as a result. Today I went, and discovered that the owner has changed the "student and teacher discount" from 10% to 5%. It seems that an increase in student clients made them greedy and stingy. Not cool, your business is 3 or less blocks from 3 different colleges. The deli across the street sells coffee for half the price, and there are 3 other Thai places within 3 blocks of this one. Perhaps they will appreciate student business more than this place. Cash grab, skip it. Sincerely, Students

Yelp
Grubhub ordered lunch chicken Basil with rice dish and pad kee mow spicy noodles was yummy! Will order again soon. Authentic Thai taste with quality ingredients. About time a true Thai food place open up in this area near my neighbourhood.

Yelp
Thai Times is an incredible addition to the neighborhood. Food is fresh and delicious. I pick up or get delivery from here at least once a week. With the abundance of Thai places in NYC one can get overwhelmed with the number of options. Thai Times is not only flavorful, but authentic. Having been to Thailand twice and eaten at many NYC Thai restaurants, I am grateful to have found this quality Thai restaurant right in my neighborhood.

Yelp
Pad Thai & Panang Curry were well flavored, some of the better versions we've had. Crispy chive pancakes were a tasty starter.

Katie S.

Yelp
Takeout. The chicken pad thai tasted ok but it was partially burnt. Also felt that the prices are a bit too steep for the amount of food and quality that you are getting. The shop is clean and colorful. The food came out pretty quickly and the service was ok.
