The Aardvark

Tried a new spot with a friend called The Aardvark. It has a biker bar feel but everyone was friendly and the service was good. I ordered the steak with chimichurri and pickled veggies and my friend had the Mahi rueben and veggies. Big flavors from the pickled veggies so if you're a pickle lover like me you'll love it. The steak was tender and cooked medium, and the sandwich was a good big portion. I'd definitely visit again

Unexpected delight! Food and service was great along with a variety of local beers. Would recommend it as a great find and great food. Waitress was very congenial and knowledgeable.

Went back to the Aardvark for the first time in a few years and was very impressed. The new owner has updated the menu with local ingredients including some great fresh seafood items. They cleared out some of the old beer shelving which opened up the space and created a nice clean atmosphere. The beer selection was good and paired well with the food. Will definitely be back!

A chilled cozy neighborhood restaurant in the SoDo district. As my first time there for its Brunch, it was just what I imagined. A chilled spot where it's Not a while lot goin on, just beer, wine, mimosas, & frozen cocktails. I was a Lil disappointed a out them not having hard liquor, But other than that everything else was good

Great friendly restaurant. Craft beers on tap are always good and they have a wide selection of beers and kegs as part of their packaged goods. My wife and I love coming here for happy hour. It's easy, chill, and good.

What a great experience. I think for me the waiter, Vinnie, was the most outstanding part of the entire lunch. He was kind, thoughtful, fun to talk to, and offered above-and-beyond service. Food was really good too. Eggs Benedict were spot on (and for those of us who regularly order eggs Benedict, we know how rare that is), my fiancee loved her hangover sandwich, and our daughter enjoyed her hot dog. Highly recommend!

Nice casual place, great beer selection. My food was hit or miss. They have a rotating draft selection featuring beers from around Florida and elsewhere. They have a larger selection of beer bottles in the coolers lined up against the wall. I had their southern catfish Benedict with a side of home fries. I also tried the chicken and biscuits two ways and the hush puppies. Unfortunately the biscuits and the home fries were overcooked. The southern Benedict and the hush puppies were great. The staff was very friendly.

I live in the neighborhood and like to help small businesses. I always found this place to be over priced but we were in the mood for burgers and fried pickles. We decided to stop in as we had not been in for long while. We ordered fried pickles and wine. We got the fried pickles and they didn’t look the same. We asked if they could just be cooked longer. Server was nice and said sure no problem. I then hear the owner taking loudly to our server saying she was not going to change the recipe for us. We asked if there was a problem. She again said to us she would not refry the pickles and said they are like that every time. We have had the fried pickles before and tried to reason with her. She then proceeded to scream at us and told us to leave. And then “f*** leave”. I had my 14 years old son and asked not to cuss in front of him. She then stated she was sure he heard worse. We had already opened the bottle of wine otherwise we would just left. She made such a scene over nothing. Of course no one was in the restaurant to hear her bizarre behavior. The poor server was mortified. Clearly there is a reason why no one is in the restaurant. My son we so upset and obviously we will never be back. I don’t recommend anyone ever going there again. It is amazing to me that she is the owner. She lacks manners let alone customer service skills. I look forward to the day when aardvark goes out of business and a new business with different owners take over. My son actually videoed the scene but I can’t upload it otherwise I would. Wow is all I can say. I wish I could put ZERO stars.
