Amazing pizza, great staff, lovely location. Colin and Marquis were so nice and accommodating. Always friendly staff, spacious interior and of course the best bread in Chelsea.

Chocolate raspberry turnover……………… There is nothing else to say! Well, OK, I’ll say amazing! I sampled a few other items, and everything was amazing. I tried two different kinds of quiche, and both were great.

This pizza is really good! I love the fact that it’s organic with sourdough bread. I love the various options including beef sausage versus pork and all the veggies. I have never seen oyster mushrooms as an option for pizza and I loved that. Let’s not forget the fact that they have vegan cheese. I’m not sure if it was the owner or the manager but super nice, gave my kids and myself a gingerbread cookie. This may sound weird but I pay attention to everything and I appreciated the fact that the gentleman that rang me up changed his gloves after ringing me up before continuing to make pizza. It’s the little things for me and that was major. The only issue I had is that the menu says no up charge for vegan cheese but when I got my receipt I saw that there was a $2 up charge. When I pointed it out to the guy that ring me up he very dryly said “there’s a charge” and walked away.

This bakery is simply lovely! From the options, to the staff- everything is just wonderful! Highly recommend popping in! We've had a variety of pastries, ordered a whole sourdough loaf (which was outstanding) and breakfast yummies: breakfast pizza and quiche pictured.

Google
Loved the morning bun and cinnamon pop tart. Both were addictive! I think u guys should just add some menus that aren't directly in front of the register. The person who took our order seemed slightly annoyed that we didn't know what we wanted but it was our first time visiting from out of town and we didn't have a menu on hand!

Five Stars AREN'T ENOUGH! The Bakery at Chelsea is a Norfolk Treasure! If you haven't experienced the pure, unadulterated joy that is The Bakery at Chelsea, you are seriously missing out on one of Norfolk's brightest culinary gems! This place isn't just a bakery; it's a haven of carb-perfection, and it gets ALL the stars from me. Let's start with the BREAD. Oh, that glorious bread! Whether it's a crusty, artisan loaf that makes your sandwiches sing, or a specialty bread that's perfect on its own, the quality is simply outstanding. You can taste the craftsmanship and fresh ingredients in every single bite. Then there are the PASTRIES. Prepare to drool. From flaky croissants that transport you to Paris, to decadent sweets that satisfy every craving, their pastry case is a work of art. Everything is baked to perfection, fresh, and utterly irresistible. I dare you to leave with just one thing! And just when you think it can't get any better, there's the PIZZA. "Killer" is the perfect word for it! The crust is fantastic, the toppings are creative and always fresh, and the flavor combinations are out of this world. It's easily some of the best pizza you'll find in Norfolk, hands down. The Bakery at Chelsea has such a wonderful, welcoming vibe, and the staff are always friendly. It’s clear they’re passionate about what they do. Whether you're grabbing your morning coffee and a treat, picking up a loaf of life-changing bread, or indulging in their incredible pizza, you're in for an exceptional experience. This spot is a true asset to the Chelsea neighborhood and all of Norfolk. Run, don't walk!

The Bake House at Chelsea is the absolute BEST! All of their pizzas are amazing and cooked to perfection. They make the best oatmeal raisin cookies and their chocolate chip cookies are oh so soft and delicious! Also the sweetest bakers made me the best KeyLime Pie I’ve ever had!!!!! Thank you for making my birthday special. 💚

Debra Scott

Google
Came here bc I was looking for a bakery, found a bakery and pizza!! Everything was soooo deeeeelicious We got the Morning Bun, the Loaded Oatmeal Raisin cookie and the salted chocolate chip cookie, the field and flames pizza special and the It’s a cheese pizza. We have nothing left over to take home. 😞 10/10 would recommend over and over.

Yelp
Came on a whim, and very much enjoyed the two pizzas ordered. A little pricey for pizza; though the taste was rich and the size of the pizza was just enough to fulfill a hungry stomach. Several tables to sit and enjoy what you order, and there were some baked goods being offered as well.

Yelp
On bestie weekend this was our second bakery stop (thank goodness The Chrysler was opening soon as we surely would have hit every bakery in Norfolk) and upon selecting a dine in treat and take outs for the man, we sat down for a quiet snack on. It did not stay quiet for long. The goods are so good that even the cold, pelting rain couldn't keep the citizens away. Our dine in treat was what I thought was a simple coffee cake. It was not simple but it sure was good. Alot of crunch on top, but not enough cinnamon to turn you off. The cake was a moist compliment to the topping. As we snacked I could smell something baking in the oven and it smelled like bread. I gave bestie a blow by blow of what happening in the kitchen til I finally told her we weren't leaving til I found out what it was: focaccia bread!! I asked the young lady how long before it was ready and she gave me the food news of only 11 minutes. I immediately stopped dining on my coffee cake so I would have room for it. My husband spent 3 years in Italy courtesy of the government and almost every morning I would get up at 4 to walk our Rottie. My reward for leaving our 4th floor walk up was fresh focaccia. While the focaccia here wasn't like what you would get in Italy, it was delicious too. We chose to get ours brushed with butter and parmesan. Bestie, hubby and I ate on it for 2 days! It was big and tasty! The other 2 bakery items I brought home were the almond croissant (OMG good!! Do NOT pass it up) that looked incongruous amongst all the other pretty pastries but was so sweet, airy and perfect. I wish I had bought more of those. The other was the Pan Au Raisan roll. This thing was so good I bet even my raisan hater hubby would have eaten it. This is one of the things I dislike about living in the country. Then again, if we lived in Norfolk I'd be bigger than our house out here in the country!

Yelp
Bakehouse pastries are a favorite in our house. And the foccaccia bread... so delish!! Always such a friendly staff as well.

Yelp
The gem of all gems! This place is amazing. Everything is fresh and delicious whether it's a pizza or baked goods. The servers are kind and welcoming. I like how you can watch them assemble everything and you can get a glimpse of how they operate.

Yelp
Great spot for a quick lunch. Delicious food and friendly staff. Love the atmosphere. Parking can be a challenge durning peak hours. Check out Vessel Craft Coffee next door too.

Yelp
When I'm in the greater Norfolk area down by Lambert's Point docks, I make it a point to stop by The Bakehouse at Chelsea on Orapax Road. My favorite thing to get here is their amazing pizza but they also have incredibly delicious baked goods available as well. Unfortunately if you're a drinker, they don't see alcohol but most of the places around there don't mind you bringing in your own food. This is such a cool little Hamlet, I really like the vibe of this area.
google avatar

Yelp
Pizza was wonderful, made with sourdough. Nice flavor blends. Place has limited seating. Fresh baked cookies. Beverages in bottles available. Friendly ambiance. Order to eat time, 20 minutes.

Yelp
Had a cozy date night here and loved the cozy vibe. We shared a Margherita pizza and a bottle of wine. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced.!

Yelp
Trips to the Bakehouse never disappoint! Their freshly made pastries are the best treat around. Everything is baked to perfection and the selection is top-notch. It is almost impossible to narrow it down so you just have to try one of everything.

Jay W.

Yelp
Pizza is always great here , ingredients are always fresh and the pie is piping hot when you get it. The pastries /bread are also great no matter the time of day. Not many places you can get a wood fired pizza and a fresh croissant. Interior is small so recommend placing orders to-go.
google avatar

Yelp
This place is amazing food is awesome staff are very outgoing and friendly! The ingredients are fresh and the smoke pizza oven give your tastebuds a treat!

Yelp
I ordered two pizzas, pepperoni with hot honey and the salami arugula with dairy free cheese. Both were cooked well, cooked fast and super tasty. I'm always grateful for dairy free options that don't taste like they lack the texture and flavor aka the joy of regular cheese. They accidentally put the hot honey on the wrong pizza which turned out to be the right pizza because the salami arugula pizza with hot honey was *chef's kiss*.

Yelp
Folks, we just went to the Bakehouse at Chelsea and let me tell you it was fabulous. The pastries are light and decadent. The neopolitan pizza had just the right amount of char and chew to the crust. This was our first time here....Will be the first of many. Come try this amazing place...you wont be disappointed!

Yelp
There are quite a few pizza spots scattered across this area in Norfolk, and The Bakehouse is one of my top favs. LOCATION: I think I remember that they have one table outside and not much seating inside, so don't expect to bring the whole family here. The Chelsea neighborhood is quaint and quiet. We like to ride our bikes here, have lunch, and ride our bikes back home to Park Place. SERVICE: I recommend ordering beforehand because they're made to order, so unless you like waiting around, just order ahead :) They're very strict about dogs. I walked in with mine, and they immediately told me I had to take them out. FOOD: They serve pizzas and fresh-based pastries! I have yet to try a pizza or pastry that I don't like. The last time I visited The Bakehouse was to find a cinnamon roll, but I ended up getting a roll with blueberry or blackberry, I think. It was delicious!! But mind you, they make a certain amount for the day and run out of options at a certain time. Will I come back? Yes, absolutely.

Yelp
I'm just going to keep reviewing this place every time because it is SO GOOD. My boyfriend and I have always gotten the sausage and egg danish. It's our favorite savory pastry. We wanted a sweet danish as well, so we got the plum and apricot danish. I definitely can't wait to have it again next summer.

Yelp
Haven't been here in years and I wanted to try it again. Went with a bunch of work friends. Ordered the half pepperoni half funghi (mushrooms) pizza. It cost $19 plus charge. That's incredible! The pizza was very tasty but $19 for 6 small slices is a jump. Others had the margarita, salami arugula. Everyone liked their choices.

Yelp
I love this place! Great food and great vibes. Perfect for walking from downtown on the ERT for a chill date night

Yelp
Quite a trek to this place from my home but it was worth it. Nestled in between Birch and Torch, this pizza parlor and bakery boasts of really good pastries- my most favorite is the coffee cake that is delightfully just right, not too sweet and with the right amount of pecans. Then the almond and chocolate croissants are very buttery and flaky. The various danish such as potato and asparagus, sausage and egg are both Čdelicious. The spinach stuffed pastry was filled to the seams. The sweet pastries are delightfully yummy like the morning bun, shaped like a cinnamon bun but has cinnamon sugar topping. Then there's the lavender shortbread cookie.

Yelp
The best and most authentic pizza in town! You have to try! Great cookies too! We will be back!
google avatar

Amanda K.

Yelp
This review is for the pizza, I loved it! My only critique would be that the pizza crust was a little floppy for my preference. Other than that, great flavor, fresh brick oven homemade taste! Also very quick service! Will be buying again.

Yelp
We ordered this pizza through postmates delivery, which was a positive experience. Food arrived quickly and hot. The pizza dough tasted fresh with a nice chew and light crispy crust with a good balance of texture. The cheese pizza was good, right balance of sauce and cheese. The ANGRY margarita pizza was great, the sauce is slightly spicy, excellent garlic flavor and I would order again. My favorite pizza of the evening was their Chorizo Poblano. The chorizo and poblano peppers complemented each other perfectly, very delicious and balanced. Their baked items are not available for delivery after 3pm. I look forward to trying their pastries next visit.

Yelp
This was hands down the best pizza I've ever had. I didn't go to the establishment, but I had delivery, so I can't comment on service or ambiance. I ordered the Arabbiata with soprasetta, bacon, gouda, and parmesan and ordered it well done. I cannot even describe how delicious it was (and still is since I have leftovers). Hats off to whoever made that. Now I will definitely go in person!

Yelp
In a food scene that is in dire need of improvement, the Bakehouse at Chelsea is one of the hidden gems of Norfolk, and definitely deserves more attention. The closest you can get to authentic Neapolitan-style pizza, and makes the best pie in the area. And of course, you can't forget about their fresh baked goods and breakfast items. CROISSANTS Here they are delicate and flaky and crumble easily, quite airy inside. With any of their flavors, you can't go wrong. I have tried some of their trendy stuff like their ube croissant and matcha croissant which I love that they're doing - but could work on pronouncing the flavor a bit more as they were too subtle to be noticed, but the fact that they're even pumping this out in the area is something commendable and I 100% support. OPEN FACED BREAKFAST SANDWICH Their main breakfast sandwich item as they don't make sandwiches but it's not a bad option as they are quite large and thoroughly cheesy. I think I would like more protein/veg on the top since it is quite bread-forward, but it's a good amount of cheese and egg which is quite fluffy and satisfying. I also love their pecan crumble bar. The quality of their baked goods is fresh, never has been stale in the five years I came here, and you can get a sense for the craftsmanship, care, and quality they put into their items. They also sell loaves of bread! If you want to step up your sandwiches at home, here's an easy way to do so. Love the open kitchen concept; you can see the bakers and the entire process take place before you; a rustic and charming setting.

Yelp
8/10! Was fantastic! Pepperoni Pizza was top notch and the ham and cheese croissant as well as the honey lavender scone was to die for! Yet I would say, it's absolutely its better to get there when it opens to have fresh everything! Service was quick and fast! Ambience was like a perfect mom and pop bakery store! Definitely going back!!

Yelp
Read the reviews and stopped by on a Sunday afternoon. Street parking and limited indoor/outdoor seating. The employees were really friendly and stopped making the goods to come to help us at the front. You can tell they are a real-deal bakehouse. The pastries looked good but the prices weren't listed and didn't want to bug the staff by asking how much each one was. Opted for pizza. Ordered: Fungi pizza: oyster and cremini mushrooms, ricotta, mozzarella, spinach, and ricotta (added sausage for additional charge) the crust holds up to the New York fold but beware of the toppings that will slough off due to the oil from the cheese. I have no complaints about eating it off the cardboard. Very indulgent and needed some heat for balance. They have pepper flake and parm packs. Oddly enough my husband asked if he could have free water and was told they didn't have any. I find that borderline unacceptable for any brick-and-mortar that sells food. So we bought drinks. Blueberry soda: tasted like wild Maine blueberries, the better of the two sodas cream soda: different company and much larger than the blueberry, def tastes the honey compared to the cane sugar other companies use This is a cute place outside of central downtown that provides real homemade food. Better yet go grab a beer next door to pair with the pizza. for a comforting casual meal with friends.

Yelp
Top three pizza places in Norfolk! If you're a fan of Neapolitan style pizza (thinner crust, lots of sauce, wood fire cooked), this place and they're satellite at Elation Brewing is the bomb! The pizza flavors are simplistic, their sauces are elegantly delicious, and the pizza crust is fluffy and tasty on its own. Their willingness to deliver to the breweries around Chelsea puts them in the top-tier of customer service in my opinion. Definitely worth stopping by!
google avatar

Yelp
Unexpected, fantastic pizza spot!! We came at lunch and it wasn't busy at all. We ordered a few pizzas for the table and it was all delicious. Their bacon gouda pizza was my favorite. Super flavorful! also really liked their Sicilian slices. I wish they had a better selection of drinks and seating, but I guess I'll just take it to-go in the future!
google avatar

Michael S.

Yelp
So far I've only had the pizza. Can't complain the crust was perfect. This is a bread place and all of their fresh breads look and smell awesome. If I wasn't avoiding carbs I'd have more to report. But honestly this place screams "cheat day"!

Yelp
My husband and I had a great date night on Saturday. We started off at benchtop for a few rounds of beers and remembered that the Bakehouse was right around the corner. I am so glad we remembered that it was nearby because we were in for a treat! We ordered a bacon gouda and swung by nextdoor at The Birch and our lovely cashier from bakehouse hand delivered our pizza! At first glance, I was like "oh no... it looks a little burnt" but once you took a bite, the bacon bits were SOOOOO crispy and full of delicious flavor (not burnt at all) and the pizza dough was 10/10. My husband and I were considering ordering another pizza because it was just THAT delicious! I highly recommend stopping by - whether it's for a slice or a pie! The next thing I want to try is their bread, but you gotta come early for it!

Christopher H.

Yelp
Ordered two pizzas one a Margherita and one a Pep with Basil and I don't know if their wood fire oven was burning really hot but the bottoms of both pizzas were charred and not in a good way charred parts of each pizza were completely black Maybe I will try this place again maybe next time it will be a little different.
google avatar

Peterr E.

Yelp
Heard the rave, read the reviews, finally decided to try this place. The pizza was good, except for the burnt parts, which was more then a few to not go eating a whole slice without tasting burnt bread. You can def taste the smoked gouda (I ordered the Bacon Gouda), but lacked quantity of the other toppings included. Here is my biggest gripe, the pricing and transparency on the website. Looking at the photos here, they have 2 sizes, small/large. I guess they did away with the sizes, but it does not say anywhere on the website what size im getting. I would assume paying with that price I would be getting a large. Not at all. Came home to a personal sized pizza almost. Split between 2 guys, definitely not enough. Pretty disappointed since I am a big Pizza person, and I was expecting more.

Yelp
I have been to this place multiple times and every time is amazing. The pizza definitely compete with the Italian pizzas, one of the best in town!

Angelina B.

Yelp
The staff is so kind and helpful here. The assortment of pastries is wonderful. There's plenty of space for lunch or a meet here.

Yelp
The Bakehouse at Chelsea first opened in May of 2014, specializing in Neapolitan style pizzas and a wide variety of fresh baked pastries. It is located adjacent to The Birch, which was Norfolk's first craft beer bar and which preceded it by opening in January of 2011. My first visit was made during a snowy day during the winter of 2015. I continued to come back about once or twice a year through 2019, but I never could seem to get myself together to write a review. I decided this year to put it off no longer. This review is based upon my most recent visits, all of which were made during the current pandemic period. As you enter their cinder block building, the pleasant odors of freshly baked artisan bread and various spices waft through the air. The interior sports a spartan industrial vibe. There are six tables inside, which were not in use during Phase I of the pandemic. There are three picnic tables outside. Two hand-built wood fired brick ovens are in the rear, which use a mixture of white oak, red oak, and hickory wood. One oven is left open with the bread and pizza together, and the other one is left closed for their bread and pastries. It has been written that wood fired brick ovens hold their heat more efficiently than conventional gas or electric ovens. You can open and close them often with little or no loss of heat. My first experience with tasting food cooked in a wood fired oven took place in a hippie commune I stayed at one summer during the 70s, located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. The oven was fired with wood we chopped ourselves, and the food that came out exhibited a depth of flavor that I had never experienced before. The pizzas and pastries I have enjoyed at the Bakehouse strike my taste buds with a most reminiscent depth of flavor. Each of their pizzas begin with naturally leavened dough, made with organic flour, and shaped by hand. The wood-fired brick oven gives their pizzas a crispy charred crust I find most pleasant. Too many pizzas I have tried elsewhere are overly gummy, gooey, and greasy for my tastes. The pizzas I have tried here are just right for me, striking a beautiful balance between their crispy yet chewy textures. As a result, their pizzas have become my favorite in the area, and I have enjoyed the following so far. CHORIZO POBLANO PIZZA: Beef Chorizo, Poblano Peppers, Fresh Mozzarella, and Tomato Sauce. This was the one I tried during my first visit during the winter of 2015 when it was offered as a special addition. It quickly became my favorite, and it was the one I always ordered during my subsequent visits whenever it was offered. It has only recently been added as a permanent item on their pizza menu. I love its smoky earthy flavors, resulting in a taste combination that is off the charts delicious. The beef for their chorizo is sourced from River Road Farms in Franklin, VA. This one is still my favorite: My Rating: 5-Plus Stars. MARGHERITA PIZZA: Tomato Sauce, Fresh Mozzarella, Basil Leaves, and Extra Virgin Olive Oil. This was my first time trying a Margherita Pizza, and the flavors of this one were truly sublime. My Rating: 5 Stars. BBQ CHICKEN PIZZA: Roasted and Seasoned Chicken with Spicy Hot BBQ Sauce, Fontina, Mozzarella, Green Onions, and Pickled Red Onions. This one was a recent special addition. I loved its unusual combination of flavors. I would have liked just a little more heat to the spicy BBQ sauce to satisfy my hot tooth. Fortunately, I had some hot sauce at home to fire it up. I am hoping to see this one become a permanent item. My Rating: 4.5 Stars. I have also enjoyed the following pastries: CHOCOLATE MONKEY BREAD: This is one I had never heard of this before, and the slice I ordered was delightfully crunchy, chocolaty, and delicious. It was slightly dry on the inside, perhaps because I ordered it in the afternoon instead of in the morning. My Rating: 4 Stars. ALMOND CROISSANT: The one was sweet, tender, flaky, and awesomely delicious. I have no other words. My Rating: 5 Stars. STRAWBERRY BASIL GALETTE: The strawberries came from a fresh picking, and their combination with the basil paired beautifully. This one was tender, flaky, and delicious. My Rating: 5 Stars. STRAWBERRY DANISH: Also made with freshly picked strawberries, this one was another winner. It was not quite as tender as the galette as described above, but it was still a tasty delight. My Rating: 4.5 Stars. One detail I need to mention is that their breakfast sandwiches have been discontinued. Whether this is temporary or permanent remains to be seen. In any event, I will definitely be stopping in here more often. It is my pleasure to award this wonderful bakery with a slam dunk 5-star rating.

Yelp
A pizza must. Delicious crust. They also sell baked goods. Seating is limited in the Bakehouse.

Yelp
I keep forgetting about this place when I worked near the base. So on my random Saturday drive, I made it a point to stop by. It's a cute little bakery in the heart of a busy industrial, historical neighborhood in a quaint place of Norfolk. Yes all in one - LOL I ordered a pizza and a pastry. There are some tables and chairs outside if you want to hang around to eat but I did mine to go. I did the build your pizza with olive oil, cheese and basil. It is made fresh but it didn't seem it took that long to be done. Well as I got to my car and opened my box, my pizza crust was burnt! I tried to eat around it but I couldn't because it made everything taste burnt. I did not enjoy my pizza one bit. My pastry was ok. Not something I would go back for. Sometimes I will try out a place more than once in hopes for the next go around to be better but I am in no rush. Ha!

Yelp
Fantastic bakery with a brick fired oven. I had a pizza with our own toppings. The morning buns are fantastic and you must try. It's a great place for a morning pastry or takeout. Pizza is very good. There is bot much setting available indoor.

Yelp
I was craving brick-oven pizza after my heart transplant surgery over at Santera Heart Hospital. I looked up this place on yelp by searching for brickoven pizza. Found this place and saw it was really close to the hospital. I can't leave my room so I had my Mother pick it up for me. I ordered the margarita pizza as I'm eating pizza but still trying to be healthy lol new heart and all. But it was mentioned a lot in the other reviews as the go to pizza. My Mom says the place is so close to the hospital you can walk there so you don't lose your parking spot. Said the restaurant is huge and very nice interior with a huge kitchen. Pizza was more than amazing and hit the soot. Would go here again because you can't beat brick oven pizza.

Yelp
As far as ambiance goes, well...you can see for yourself from the fotos, it's more of a take-out or delivery kind of place...service was outstanding. The pizza was amazing! In my top 3 pizza places (so far) in the Virginia Beach / Norfolk (HR) area. Sorry for no pixs...I couldn't remember the name of this restaurant and just found it again ugh...

Yelp
Love the pizza here!! Haven't tried the baked goods but definitely will next trip.

Yelp
If anyone ever needed proof that God exists, just try one of their hot bacon cheddar bread twists. I bit into that hard, hot, crunchy crust filled with stretchy cheddar, and chopped thick bacon, and I swear I heard angels singing. Most of their pastries and breads tend to rotate, so a lot of times, you just show up, and be thankful for whatever they may have that day. The last time I went, I grabbed a Chai late cookie. It was close to a snickerdoodle, but paid a little homage to one of those spice cookies with the nutmeg and maybe a hint of ginger. Living on the Peninsula, it is not an easy drive, but one of these days, I will have to come back in an afternoon and try one of their pizzas.

Yelp
This is a great bakery in the Chelsea (formerly West Ghent) area in Downtown Norfolk. Their Bacon Gouda pizza is to die for. My awesome co-worker brought me some early birthday pastries this morning. You can never go wrong with their galettes or turnovers.
google avatar

Yelp
Today less than 12 hours ago my sweet husband treated us to some food from the Bakehouse At Chelsea for our 19 year wedding anniversary via grubhub. The pizzas we both agreed on were the bacon gouda (lists to come with tomato sauce caramelized onion bacon smoked gouda mozzarella) and the carnivore (the carnivore pizza had pepperoni sausage and bacon and mozarella cheese). Luckily the driver who delivered our food came in a reasonable timeframe and my husband and I both enjoyed our pizzas.

Yelp
This place is lit (*bad Dad pun*) in more ways than one. First, there's a specially designed fire oven. Next, it's a local bakery that serves artisan breads, SWEETS and PIZZAS. Owner is the most kind, community minded guy you'll ever meet; obviously knows how to recruit because all of their employees are fantastic, led by fabulous general manager Kenny; he's just as passionate about the product as he is providing excellent service and conversation. It's no surprise that they provide lots of local restaurants with their products. Among our families faves? Bacon Gouda pizza, lemon sugar cookie, cheddar pimento cheese danish, chocolate croissant, chocolate bread (make French toast with it, you're welcome), and fruit turnovers. Not a lot of seating, but if Neapolitan is your jam, then you'll rock out here!

Yelp
I keep coming back to this place because their carbs are the perfect mix of crispy, savory, sweet and decadent. My brother comes here specifically for his cheat meals. Shoot, I would if I was local. Last time I was there, we ordered cheese danishes, a chocolate croissant, iced gingerbread cookies and focaccia bread. Several were gifts, while I kept a couple for my family. What made me fan girl even more though was how kind the staff was to me; the guy at the register struck up a convo about where he was from in northern VA and how we exchanged locales bc I'm from Norfolk and moved to northern VA where he's from. That little moment of humanity brightened my day, and made the visit all the more sweeter.

Yelp
Got a pizza for lunch on Sunday. Had never tried it but heard and read good reviews. Got the small margarita pizza. So, I thought it was a bit saucey, but the crust was on point! So crispy. So thin. After eating it, I was like "meh" about it as a whole. "It's okay but not the best." Writing this review the Friday after, and I can't stop thinking about it! Now that's the kind of pizza I like. One that I can't forget. The 10 inch small is perfect for lunch. Maybe next time, I will wait 10 minutes before eating (but I was sooo hungry! LOL) I'm looking forward to trying other toppings. And hopefully be able to get there 1 day to try some of the pastries that are also offered there!

Yelp
Oh my goodness. This is probably one of the best pizza places I have ever had (coming from someone who had pizza in its birthplace, Italy, NYC, and Chicago). As a self proclaimed pizza snob, the best pizza I have ever had was in Malta during my honeymoon, we found the Bakehouse at Chelsea place by chance and my husband and I both agreed that this place is comparable to the pizza we had in Malta. Because of COVID, they don't offer indoor seating (it's all Togo), there were about three picnic tables outside, but you can order pizza and get some beer next door at Birch (see my review for them!). My husband and I got a variety of things aside from pizza, we got a crannoli (a croissant/cannoli), pumpkin bread, apple cheddar scone, and a seasonal veggie pastry. Everything we got was delicious, but my favorite was the crannoli. It was the perfect amount of fluff, flake, and cannoli filling. *chefs kiss* We ordered the chorizo poblano pizza and the margherita. The chorizo poblano -beef based chorizo- was absolutely delicious. It was bursting with flavor, the cheese was gooey, but crust was the cherry on top. It wasn't "wet" from the toppings, it was still flavorful from their cooking method, the texture was light and crispy. It was literally perfection. The margherita, a staple in Neapolitan pizza history, was by far my favorite. Simple yet boasting with flavor, I could eat a hundred slices of my body allowed. The service was great, and definitely a place to come back to try the freshmade bread, other pastries, and pizzas. Check out this place, you won't regret it! **wish I had more photos, but we literally devoured everything in seconds heh**
