"The Modern is a fancy restaurant inside of MoMA, and it’s separated into two different rooms. The first area has a long bar, some lounge-y tables, and a semi-casual dining area. Walk-ins are accepted for this part of the restaurant, but you can also make a reservation. Stop by with your parents the next time you find yourselves staring at squiggles of paint on canvas in Midtown, and have drinks with some bar food that’s better than any bar food you’ve had." - bryan kim
"Adjacent to the fine-dining room, the Bar Room lets you get by for substantially less with a two-course prix fixe for $45 or three courses for $60 (à la carte is available); no reservations are required, so you can stroll in on a Sunday around noon, eat in about an hour, and still have plenty of time for the museum. The terrace overlooks the MoMA’s sculpture garden, and a mural alongside the far wall continues the effect of dappled light filtering through the trees.
