If you need a reason to visit Virginia, let it be to try the food at this amazing spot! We were so impressed that we seriously considered buying more food to take home. The biscuits are incredibly fluffy and flavorful, and the seasoning on their savory dishes is spot on. The staff at this restaurant is incredibly friendly and attentive, always on top of things to ensure a great experience. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, with a charming farmhouse-like design that adds to the cozy vibe. It’s the perfect blend of great service and inviting decor, making it a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Plus, the restaurant is surrounded by stunning greenery, adding to the peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. While there’s a bit of a wait, they have a bar where you can enjoy drinks while you wait, and valet parking is available for convenience. You can also take a stroll around before being seated. I highly, highly recommend making the drive, even if you’re not in the area—it’s definitely worth it and a place I’ll be coming back to!

We arrived on a Sun morning around 11 so it was pretty busy. We were told it was a 45 min wait which turned into an hour but it wasn't too bad. The outdoor bar and board games provided outside made waiting not so bad. I had a spiked hot apple cider which was very delicious, the bartender was super friendly and made me and my friend delicious drinks. Once it was our turn and I went inside I was blown away the interior is so beautiful and well taken care of. The bathroom is not only beautiful but really clean. The coffee is great as well as the food I had the Lieutenant Dan Omelette and it was amazing 😍 I loved everything about my experience at The Bee and The Biscuit.

Google
Such a cute hole and the wall brunch spot! Food was excellent. Parking was interesting and not the most practical. There was a 30-45 minute wait but they had garden games you could play while waiting. Very fun idea. There was a small shop that they had as well. Overall, great spot!!

Google
I Always enjoy everything about this place. Valet available and on point. 30 minute wait? No problem; cocktails, and coffee on the patio. Winter wait? No problem; sip your Irish coffee or mimosa around the fire while you wait. Once inside you’ll seat on the enclosed deck, bar or anywhere inside. It’s up to you and party size. This is a farmhouse so the atmosphere screams biscuits and gravy! But that’s all i order so I digress. Everything on the menu is phenomenal from cocktails to coffee. Bring your appetite!

Google
Just dinner there today and as always the food was delicious. Only thing that I didn’t like was not knowing about the automatic 18% gratuity. I believe the servers should know that as not everyone is aware of that. Outside of that server was great, the Hostees Edy was very friendly and it was good knowing that she was still working there as it’s always good seeing a familiar face

I love coming here! I have sent many people here and they rave about it. My favorite is the blueberry pancakes and cinnamon roll best I've ever had. Everything is delicious as well. Love the ambiance. Nice folks doing great things. Bee and the biscuit 🐝🍪.

Decided to pop in for a late brunch on a Friday with my husband. They are valet only so you cannot park yourself. The valet was a very friendly guy who was very fast to open a door and bring the car around. We got there around 1:30pm and they had a 15 minute wait. They had a couple of spots for seating for people who were waiting. We decided to wait in a large covered area where there were tables and games for people to play while they wait. I think that’s a great idea for families with kids! We sat outside on the covered porch and it was wonderful. Perfect cool sunny day to enjoy the outdoor dining. They have ceiling fans on so it never feels stagnant while you’re outside. Our server was friendly and pretty busy but was never hard to find. We ordered two specialty lattes, a cinnamon roll to share, and two big farm truck plates. I can only include a picture of the drinks because everything else was devoured the second it hit the table. The cinnamon roll was about the size of a dinner plate and perfect for two to split. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. It ran us about $80 and gratuity is included in the check.

Google
Phenomenal place. Valet parking: bring cash or they have QR codes for other ways to tip There is usually a wait, but absolutely worth it. they have an outdoor bar/drink area so you’re not just waiting around. Lots of covered waiting area with chairs and tables. The atmosphere of a small hole in the wall restaurant with incredible quality food. Did I say it’s worth the wait? If you haven’t been to this spot, it’s time to make a stop. You won’t be disappointed!

Yelp
Maybe the best breakfast I have ever had in the 757!!! When I say the food was beyond belief I absolutely mean it! I had a sugar free caramel latte that was literally to die for! The biggest fluffiest biscuits you have ever seen and everything was just cooked to perfect! Service was 10 out of 10 and the restaurant itself is absolutely adorable! This was the first time we have ate here and know I know why they stay packed! It's literally out of this world good!! I am already wanting to come back!

Ara A.

Yelp
It's been a while since I've been here, last time the wait time was too long so we left and went elsewhere. This Sunday I was out with friends so I wasn't in a hurry and we waited. I had the shrimp and grits and they were good but significantly smaller than the portion size pre-Covid. The grits were tasty and creamy. Everyone liked their meals. We split the cinnamon roll as it's big enough for sharing. Honestly sharing is recommended.

Cristina Cici B.

Yelp
Love this place! Be prepared for a wait, especially during the holidays or on weekends. Parking is valet only, so bring cash for tip or use the QR code. The food is good; it wasn't quite 5 stars the day I visited, but not the worst I've ever had. A little pricey for the size of the meal I ordered, but the service was phenomenal. I also took a cinnamon roll home with me and it was humongous! 4.5 stars rounded down.

Ha T.

Yelp
I would 100% go here just for a scone order. The scone of the day was oreo and it was served warm. It had a more cake-like (but still scone consistency) I got the steak & eggs griddle, scone of the day (oreo), and hazelnut latte.

Keyra R.

Yelp
The food was okay to me. My foodie friend was super excited to bring the girls here for brunch. Unfortunately, the food was a miss this day. She comes here very often, and said that it's normally soooo much better. I really enjoyed my cocktail though, it was a seasonal drink. Super delicious! The wait outside was also nice with the fire pit and cocktails. I plan to give it another try in the future!

Whitney W.

Yelp
While visiting my friend in Virginia Beach, we decided to stop at The Bee and The Biscuit for brunch. If you don't get there early enough, you will be on a wait. Do not fret, there is an outdoor bar, a shop, and board games to play while you wait. It's such vibe! When we went in we both got speciality coffees which were delicious! We shared two entrees which were phenomenal. After eating the biscuits, we understood why it's in the name. We had a great time. I'll be back!

Yelp
Oof here's an unpopular opinion: the food is good but it's not great and doesn't justify the hours long wait. My tostada was good... but not great (as the above says). I went on to feel this way about everyone else's food I tried. The only and only dish that stood out to me as maybe being worth the hour long wait in the heat was the bacon pancake. It was bacon inside the pancake, honestly delicious... but still not worth it. Do with that information what you will. Parking- it's valet only which is nice. I talked with the valet guys while leaving and the reasoning is because it's a small gravel lot that they have to park *just right* to accommodate as many visitors as they have. And trust me, they get a lot of visitors! Plus it's a gravel lot and is easy to damage. The environment was overall pretty fun. If it wasn't 90+ degrees it could have been fun to hang out, get drinks, and play the various board games they have. That is the one positive that made this a 4 stars rather than a 3. They understand they have a long wait and help accommodate it. They have bathrooms, a bar, and a shop all for those that are waiting. And most of it is shaded. I think the environment is fun but the food just being *good* is what lost a star. To sum it up: eat breakfast before you go. Show up around 10 and get some drinks and plan to hang out with friends. By the time you get seated it will be lunch time.

Micaela R.

Yelp
I'd marry this place! 10/10, everything was good. The 1 hour wait is worth it. I wish I could take a photo of all 8 plates that our party ordered but it was devoured in SECONDS. The mimosa flight is top tier and done so well. A must go to in Virginia Beach.

Jasmine H.

Yelp
We didn't even get to eat because we waited for almost 3 hours before we decided to leave. The valet is a nice touch & so is the outdoor bar for when ur waiting. We had a party of 5 with 3 babies....we had no idea they considered the babies as PEOPLE. Also had a waitress if one of the babies was coming alone.LOL what?! She's 5 months old. Anyways the wait is ridiculous and I they weren't accommodating at all. Once they realized there wasn't enough space for the table we were called for they told us it was going to be ANOTHER 45 minute wait!!! Ridiculous.

Jamie R.

Yelp
The portion size was good. I ordered the bacon Benedict with country potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned perfectly and were more like wedges which was fine because they were tasty! The biscuits were okay. I thought they would be the highlight hence the name. However, I was a bit disappointed as they were dense. The name jam was good. Our server was friendly and attentive. The ambience is super cute. They have a decent size outdoor area and a cute old VW bus outside. Great photo op. They automatically add gratuity to your tab.

Yelp
This place holds a special place in our lives. Weddings, birthdays, and everything in between have been celebrated here!!! It was the perfect setting for our small, intimate Fall wedding, and a great place to celebrate my twins' summer birthday!! The food speaks for itself!!! It's ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! We had a newer server on our most recent visit who was amazing!!! Very kind and acknowledged their special day. We will continue to come here for anniversaries & brunches in the future!! 10/10 recommend!!! (MY TIP: Come on a weekday for a shorter wait time. People who complain about the wait are showing up at prime time, so expect to wait like everyone else.)

Ronald P.

Yelp
Food was fantastic. Best breakfast stop in VA and excellent service. Definitely recommend this to anyone who's the perfect morning experience in VA.

Josephine R.

Yelp
10/09/24 Another GREAT breakfast at Bee and the biscuit. 10 minutes wait on Thursday. I would love to come on the weekends, but the wait is too long. Enjoyed breakfast with the family!

Gerrit D.

Yelp
Absolutely superb and authentically unique. Comfortable historic setting, ample and delicious food, good coffee, and friendly service. Just an all around great place for brunch or any other small gathering. Outdoor spaces must broaden the appeal in spring!

Qiana G.

Yelp
From the parking lot to getting your bill.... It's always a pleasure. I get up at 5am to be there when the doors open promptly at 7am. The staff is always friendly and the bathrooms are always clean. NOW WE GET TO THE GOOD PART... THE FOOD.... The food taste like someone's Grandma is in the kitchen and she has mastered food like a mad scientist. The grits are creamy. The pancakes need no syrup, the hollandaise sauce pours just right and leaves no cracks and the mushrooms are cooked to perfection. The coffee is always fresh. The biscuits should always be shared. Make sure you try the homemade jam. This is one of my favorite breakfast spots. You wanna get here early or you WILL have to patiently wait your turn. Even if you have to wait....its worth it.

Julie S.

Yelp
Great little find for breakfast/brunch there is usually a wait on the weekends but there is so much to do while you are waiting. Great service once we got a table and good Irish coffee with extra whipped cream and cinnamon sugar. So many things on the menu, looking forward to going back and trying something different. Super cute gift shop and love the valet parking.

M T.

Yelp
Food is always delicious here! Try as much as you can. Service is always on point and love the staff here. Small quaint setting of a home is lovely and can cause a wait, but well worth it. Never leave hungry. Drinks are delicious and presented so beautifully

Robert F.

Yelp
Another favorite breakfast place in Virginia Beach! I wouldn't normally mention cocktails and coffee first, but you are likely to have a little bit of a weight and that's going to be the first thing you get. I am happy to report that either way you go will be outstanding. As a coffee drinker you can get everything from a press to a cold drip and get it any way you like. If you want to go the other direction you will have an outstanding selection of drinks to choose from. I tried the Mimosa and the honeybreeze. Both great. The girlfriend got the grapefruit crush and she was very happy. They also have really good food! I tried a breakfast biscuit and it was perfectly made. Make sure you have a little time bring your appetite and enjoy your beverage of choice in any number of outdoor seating areas.

Cindy S.

Yelp
First time dining here and glad we got there early so there was no long wait as others have said. We were seated rather quickly. Friendly staff and very cute homey ambiance and decore. Not overly done and just right. Great prices and bang for your buck as well. Complimentary valet parking is an added perk too. My food was delicious okay. I had the "Big Farm Truck," breakfast meal which consisted of blueberry pancakes, eggs, cheesy grits and your choice of meat. My meal was 5 -star worthy. Hubby's meal failed in comparison and that's why I gave 4 - stars overall. He ordered the "Southwest Steak," with fries touched with grilled onions and eggs and a biscuit. His meat was not seasoned at all and super bland. I also tried their Samoa latte and it was a delightful mouth happy event. We will be back so we can try some of their other spiked drinks for brunch.

Bob R.

Yelp
I don't get out to Pungo very often but every once in a while I'll make a special trip, just to go to the Bee and the Biscuit. I live near Great Bridge so it's a bit of a hike for me but it's definitely worth the drive. Because the secret is out on this wonderful eatery, it gets extremely busy, especially on the weekends when the weather is nice outside. They do have a bar set up outside so you can enjoy a cocktail while you wait for your table. Once you are seated, you will be pampered with fantastic food and service. I really enjoy the Eggs Benedict and they make a good one here. I make this dish at home and I can definitely tell the difference between a package of hollandaise and fresh hollandaise sauce. They make it from scratch here and if you know, you know... It pays to shop early, so take a leisurely drive out to Pungo to enjoy this wonderful eatery. You'll be glad you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting our local restaurant community!

Ralph M.

Yelp
Dam the food is great there i need 2 go back again. I should bring the family it's great 4 weddings things like that

Latifah A.

Yelp
This place is delicious! The restaurant is small and the wait is typically long, but if you have time, it's worth it. Plus they have a bar with fun cocktails and board games available for while you wait outside. I highly recommend trying their fresh baked biscuits that come with homemade butter and jam. I had the dirty breakfast burrito which was delicious and my mom had the stuffed French toast, also a winner!

T. Bianca B.

Yelp
One of my ALL TIME FAVORITE restaurants EVER! If I've ever taken you here, I love you . This is a Virginia Beach staple...having won "Best Restaurant in Virginia"!!! And rightfully so! The food is always fresh and absolutely delicious. The service is always top tier! From the moment you pull up and the valet takes your vehicle to the check-in to the servers! Everyone is super friendly and accommodating. And the vibes are very homey and cozy. I've probably been here 10 times now and I can honestly say I've never had a bad experience! No matter where you live, it's gonna be a drive lol so make sure you have plenty of time and patience because it's completely worth it! Total BB Referral

Deb P.

Yelp
This is a cute place with varied and unique breakfast and lunch offerings and drinks. The hostess and wait staff were friendly and welcoming. Don't go if you are famished as there was a short wait for a table and a half hour wait to get our food-- during the off season. It was totally worth the wait. I had a cafe Americano and breakfast burrito (black beans, corn, avocado, onion, potato) with a side of fresh, really fresh, fruit. My husband a a short stack of what he decreed to be the best ever blueberry pancakes.

Pat S.

Yelp
One year later , food and consistency is still the same. Again it's along wait. So be prepared. Is it worth it? We think so!

Natalie K.

Yelp
This place literally offers one of the best omelet I have had! I am such a sucker for breakfast food as well as a good cup of latte. I looked up places to eat around Virginia Beach and this place has quite a good number of reviews so I decided to give it a try. Me and my friend got there around noon on a friday and the place was packed. We were on the waitlist for about 30-40 minutes. There is a bar outside so you can definitely grab some drinks before your table is ready. All of the staffs are super nice and friendly, despite how busy they are. (That is a real professional here) For appetizer, we ordered the Biscuit baskets (original and apple cider) both came out so fast. It was perfect, nice and warm and went well with the sweet butter and strawberry jam that came with. We then ordered Lieutenant Dan omelet (Shrimp, green onion, pepper jack cheese, herb and topped with zesty hollandaise sauce) with potato and pork biscuit with cheese grit. Everything was so delicious but I was the most impressed with the omelet, it was fresh, fluffy and well-cooked. Not to mention their specialty latte, I ordered a salted honey latte and it was so good I had to get a second one to-go. They offer specialty latte flight that came with 4 different flavor of latte to try out, or if you prefer bubbly stuff, they have mimosa flights too. They offer valet parking, as I assume it must be crazier in the summer, and that made it very convenient to park. *something to keep in mind, -they do not accommodate parties larger than 7, or you will be split into small tables -there is a 90 minutes time limit -there is a 18% automatic gratuity already added on every check. It is well written on the sign, and the menu. And the staff also mention it when the check was given, which I really appreciated being notified** I was so happy I found this place. I would love to visit this place again when I come back to VB

Deidre F.

Yelp
I understand why there is always a wait here! I would come here just for the ice latte flight - delicious! The service was attentive. I think it is great that there is an outdoor bar in the waiting area that is plenty for large crowds. I came here on a weekday morning and still had to wait. If you come on the weekend, you must come early and/or expect to wait but make an experience about it. Enjoy the outdoor seating and board games. I will have to come back during my next visit in Virginia Beach!

Nicole S.

Yelp
We were disappointed with our second visit to the Bee and the Biscuit. Our previous experience was unsatisfactory, and unfortunately, we encountered similar issues this time. Upon arrival, we anticipated a wait, considering our previous visit. Although greeted with a smile, we felt rushed when providing our information for the waitlist. The estimated wait time was an hour to an hour and a half, and given the cold and wet weather, waiting outside became even more challenging. The absence of lit fire pits forced people to huddle together due to the extreme windchill. Additionally, valet parking prevented us from waiting in our car. While blankets were eventually offered after an hour, we chose not to use them due to concerns about illness. On a positive note, the bartender was friendly and amusing, and we enjoyed the hot cocoa, which we would highly recommend. After waiting for an hour and 10 minutes, we were called to be seated. However, we were directed to a table meant for three, despite being a party of four. It was impossible for our family to fit there, so we were asked to wait for another 30 minutes. In the meantime, a larger party was seated before us, despite not waiting as long. It's unclear if they had prior reservations or special arrangements, which understandably caused some agitation. Finally, we were seated, and although our waitress was friendly, she seemed busy and rushed. After patiently waiting for almost two hours, feeling rushed was disappointing. The food arrived promptly, but it didn't exceed our expectations or justify the lengthy wait, reaffirming our initial impression of the establishment. Our youngest family member didn't enjoy her meal, while the rest of us found it satisfactory. Personally, I didn't care for the biscuit, as it tasted stale, but the gravy was delicious. Overall, I would rate the food 4 out of 5 stars, the wait/waiting area 0 out of 5 stars, the price 3.5 out of 5 stars, and the staff 4.5 out of 5 stars, resulting in an overall rating of 3 out of 5 stars.

Mykey S.

Yelp
Everything was delicious. This is a cool little brunch spot, I loved the outdoor seating. Food was served quickly and fresh. The steak was very flavorful. I came on a weekday, which was perfect; it was not too busy but there was a steady flow of customers in and out.

Brianna F.

Yelp
We drove an hour here to arrive at opening on a Friday morning because we heard such great things! Okay listen- it's good, but unfortunately I've had better brunch at places closer to me. The place itself is super cute- they offer both indoor & outdoor seating. I ordered a latte flight & the stuffed French toast! The latte flight was a little pricey for what I got I feel like... the French toast was awesome & I loved the apple cider bacon! The French toast wasn't as sweet as you would expect which was a nice surprise. My friends and I enjoyed our time, but we all agreed it's not some place we need to drive this far to in order to visit again.

Eereb N.

Yelp
The place is really over all really nice, due to it's popularity we had to wait an hour for service but while we waited in the outside seating we grabbed some drinks in a bar they have outside I'm sure for that specific reason (wait time). They had some board games so we played and drank a bit while we waited definitely made the time fly. We were soon seated and their food was good worth the wait and experience. The server was so attentive with how busy it was a surprise honestly.

Taylor R.

Yelp
I enjoyed my breakfast (chorizo omelet on bottom) my friend enjoyed hers as well. I do feel like I wish there were more chicken options on the menu otherwise the latte I had was a pleasure as well. Service is always lovely here as well. Adorable ambiance anyone would love.

Talina A.

Yelp
My bf and I are in town for the wkend and I love brunch so I searched up brunch. This spot had pretty much 5on yelp so I decided to make the executive decision and give this place a try. The reviews that say you'll be waiting an hour ARE CORRECT. We got there at close to 11 am and were quoted a 1.5 hr wait for 3 ppl. We were seated close to 1pm... This place has a gravel lot and mandatory valet parking on the weekends per the valet. If you aren't from here it's kind of confusing. The entrance sign is very small. We almost missed it and then my bf was confused on where to go (he tried to park) once we entered. The valet members were nice about it though. After we got out of the car it was hard to tell where to go to check in. The signs are small and you really need to look out for them. To the right is a bar straight ahead bored games and books. Left the hostess stand. Lots of seating. The bartender outside is amazing. I didn't catch his name though. I had the 16 oz margarita. Got pomegranate juice. He had no seeds for garnish and asked if I wanted a different one. I said strawberry & he asked if I wanted strawberry syrup in my mimosa which actually turned out really good!! My bf got the blackberry stash which was really good (& I'm not a fan of bourbon). We waited so long we got refills on our drinks ... There's a separate building outside behind the restaurant that has a men's and women's single stall bathroom. I was lucky enough to open the women's to find a man in there peeling. I guess the lock didn't work The food was good but not wait 1.5 hrs to get seated good. My bf said had he known it was more than an hr we would have left (like some other ppl did). This place definitely makes a lot of their money at the bar from ppl waiting for a ridiculous amount of time to get to get sat. If I lived here I'd definitely not go back until that wait time drops to a more reasonable time. The bar tender was the best part of my experience. The waitress didn't really stand out or make me want to give her a shoutout. There's a ton of seating for drinking your drink while you wait which is a plus.

Anthony M.

Yelp
So after a early morning appointment myself and the Mrs. Shuttled over to this hidden lil quaint establishment that we've heard so much about, know for their mimosa and other cocktails Our server was speedy with a smile the lady in my life ordered a coffee beverage called a Butter Beer and I opted for a fresh brewed cup of coffee both were full of flavor great start. For breakfast my wife ordered the lieutenant Dan with Crab meat and I ordered the Big Farm as The ambiance of Pungo dictated I go hard core country. This place is outright busy good thing it's valet parking and the waits aren't long this is a well oiled machine service Coffee and good food my wife said by far this is the best Omelette she's had in the (757) and as for me the blueberry pancakes were delish overall once you get past the wait you will BEE pun intended delighted

Tray M.

Yelp
The food was (Tony da tiger) GRRRRRREAT !!! Olivia, our server, was very knowledgeable, friendly & customer service oriented! I loved the windows all around that provides lots of sunlight. The "old country home" vibe is cool too . I'm diggin this spot! Oh yeah, the mimosas were oooooo wheeeee too!

Jessica G.

Yelp
This is the kind of spot you take out of towners too! The food was by far the best food I have had in Hampton roads, and we have quite a few fan favorites in our household. It's a great spot for a Sunday brunch, or treating yourself on a weekday for breakfast. The portions were large and the service was five star. Despite them being very busy, I felt well, taken care of by the staff. They have valet parking, and it was a little difficult to find the first time, but absolutely well worth going.

V C.

Yelp
If you go on the weekend you're going to have to wait. We went during the week. Our server was great. She helped us decide on our meals, she was very attentive and the food was great. FYI, there is valet parking only. It worked well for us.

Brian S.

Yelp
This place is AMAZING! Excellent food and service. The cinnamon buns are to die for. . We will be back next time we are in the area. Best breakfast place we've been to in a long time.

Erica W.

Yelp
The Bee and The Biscuit, nestled near Virginia Beach, is a charming brunch spot that offers a delightful taste of local cuisine. The quaint cottage-style building surrounded by lush gardens immediately sets a welcoming tone. Besides the mouthwatering food, the restaurant offers a little shop where you can purchase honey, an outdoor hut serving an array of alcoholic and non-alcoholic creations, board games, perfect photo opportunities, and an abundance of seating - a true gem that explains its popularity. It's worth noting that they offer free valet parking, which is a convenient touch. My friend and I decided to dive right into the experience outside with a Bloody Mary and the special cocktail of the day. The anticipation built during our two-hour wait, which we spent exploring the lovely surroundings. We couldn't resist trying the legendary cinnamon roll, and we weren't disappointed. It was indeed substantial, taking up the entire plate and perfect for sharing. While the lattes were slightly on the pricey side, they were undeniably picture-worthy. We savored the unique flavors of the honey lavender and the coconut brûlée lattes. For our main course, we both opted for the "Little Farm Truck," which included two eggs, bacon, and a THICK homemade biscuit. The side of potatoes, while a tad expensive, complemented the meal beautifully. The biscuit, accompanied by strawberry jam and delightful honey butter, stole the show with its homemade goodness. The ambiance was simply delightful, with the aroma of freshly baked goods wafting through the air. The food, prepared with love and care, lived up to the restaurant's reputation. The only piece of advice I'd offer is to arrive early or be prepared to wait for this culinary gem. It's undoubtedly a spot worth savoring for those who appreciate homemade, locally-inspired cuisine and a charming atmosphere.

Yelp
What a cute little breakfast spot! This place is awesome, but make sure to get there early if you want to avoid a line. Though it is worth the wait!! They have a great menu with a variety of coffees, mimosas, as well as unique breakfast and lunch dishes. Everything we tried was delicious!!

James L.

Yelp
We had breakfast on 12SEP2024 at The Bee and The Biscuit while on vacation, which is one of our daughter's favorite places since she lives in Chesapeake. She had the stuffed French toast. My wife had Lieutenant Dan Benedict. I had the Old Pungo Ferry omelet and ordered two biscuits. There was enough food that I had the omelet and Benedict the next day. Our waitress Olivia was sweet, fast, and efficient. I can see why our daughter eats here!

Yelp
My my my, I've been stung by the bee and I've fallen for the biscuits! This is a heavenly restaurant. I mean, gee whiz! The food here is amazing. I would pack an overnight back just to make sure I can get here early in the morning. Listen, Pungo is lightyears away from the rest of Coastal Virginia (hello, I live in Harbourview!). But, it's worth the visit no matter where you live. The food and iced coffee drinks here are divine. I thoroughly enjoyed my crab benedict (I think that's what it was called). It was LOADED with lump crab meat, just how I like it. That biscuit tastes like it was made in the clouds, because it was legit pillow soft! If you're even in Pungo, run, don't walk to The Bee and Biscuit!

Yelp
It was good, nothing spectacular. You are greeted with their rules and mandatory gratuity without any idea of how the service would be. Food was good, again somewhat overpriced for average breakfast items. Service was average no one offered refills of water and other. Greeter let a couple know they couldn't be seated because they possibly had one more coming. They said "then two only" that was when they were seated. The place had maybe 8 couples in the whole place. Know your rush hours. Know the time of day. IMO it was rude and not needed at that moment.

Yelp
The wait was 1 hr 15 minutes but it was well worth it. If you're not familiar with the area it would be easy to miss. They have valet parking which is nice. The vibe of the place is super cute. They have a small store, area for games and a coffee bar with the option to add liquor to it and mimosas. Our waitress was super nice and attentive. Our food came out within about 15 minutes or less. I tried a cinnamon speciality coffee which tasted ok, wouldn't get again. I ordered the spicy smokehouse pork omelette which was a 9/10. Super good. Will be visiting again if we are in the area!

Yelp
Our party of 6 arrived close to 10am on a Sunday and were told the wait would be up to an hour and a half but we were in no rush and willing to wait. They have multiple seating areas to waiting in, including an area with table games to pass the time. Our wait ended up being about 40 minutes instead. We had good service and very delicious food. I ordered the Little Farm Truck which consisted of two eggs your way plus your choice of meat and a huge biscuit. My dining companions ordered the cheese grits and blueberry pancakes which I got to try. Both were very delicious. This is the place to go for a meal. I also like that they valet your car for free so be sure to bring some cash to tip.

Yelp
Cheese stake tasted GREAT! Service was off the chain. Polite and professional people! And you can't put a price on that!

Yelp
The pork was seasoned well and the potatoes actually held up nicely on the trip home. I was curious how the food would be since it was essentially ordered to-go but I was pleased. I'd recommend this omelet to anyone who likes a little bit of heat, it's definitely worth a try. I think next time I visit, I want to try the Lieutenant Dan Omelet and stay to enjoy the outside seating and decoration. I recommend getting there as easily as possible because the wait can easily be 2+ hours to be seated.

Yelp
We've been dying to try this place out for the last three summers and we finally made it happen. When we arrived we were told it was about a 30min wait (845am on a Friday) but I think we only waited 15. Had some hot coffee while we waited and checked out the adorable gift shop. Everyone was friendly and very helpful! My mom has certain dietary restrictions and they were very accommodating. Everything was delicious! I had the salted honey latte with oat milk and the Dirty Hippie burrito. Hubs had the Bravocado Benedict, littles had the cinnamon roll pancakes, and parents had the Old Pungo Ferry omelette and the Big Farm Truck. Really enjoyed our visit to the Bee & the Biscuit and will definitely come back.
