NYC Chinese Food Delivery: Restaurants Still Open During Coronavirus | Eater NY

"The new Sichuan spot near Times Square excels at its chosen cuisine, while adding Chinese-American and other regional flourishes to its menu. Dan dan noodles are spot on, with just the right complement of Sichuan peppercorns, and another star is pickled chiles with marbled beef. The menu is expansive and covers all the meats, including lamb, with many vegetarian options. Portions are profuse. Order online." - Robert Sietsema

I’ve been to this restaurant three times. At first, I thought their Yu Xiang Rou Si (shredded pork in garlic sauce) was really tasty. Today I tried the stir-fried minced pork with pickled long beans—it was also quite good, with just the right level of spiciness and perfect with rice. However, the pork strips in today’s Yu Xiang Rou Si were a bit too thick, though the flavor was still as good as always. From what I remember, the Mao Xue Wang (spicy blood curd hotpot) was just average, and their signature lemon fish wasn’t that impressive either. Overall, a few of their dishes are excellent, but not all of them hit the mark. I’ll definitely come back again!

Traditional style decoration, unique, cozy environment. Food was delicious ,we like the duck. Service was excellent , quick seat, refill water. Only thing is they seem like prefer you quickly finish if others are start waiting in the lobby. And Note and caution: the 18% tip already included in the bill. Do not double tip

The food doesn’t taste bad but it’s not authentic. The flavors and also the spice level is changed and adjusted to the palette of white people. Even the sauces and flavor taste different compared to the real dish.

Had brunch here on a Sunday and it wasn’t packed. The food was a tad pricey and the serving size was just right. The entrees we had didn't come with rice so we had to order that separately. The dishes tasted great and looked authentic. The dining area’s lighting and ambiance was subdued and quiet. The staff was friendly and service was pretty quick.

My husband and I love sichuan food, so we go and try places anywhere we can. NY, of course, has plenty. Most of the time we get mapo tofu and sichuan chicken so we can fairly compare. This place was absolutely delicious. We got a lunch special, so it came with soup and the price was fantastic. Highly recommend

I chose the highest-rated place for lunch—4.7 stars is really impressive. Asian cuisine is especially appreciated in New York, and I’ve visited several spots already and enjoyed them all. I had no doubt this one would be great too. I ordered the duck at its original price, without the lunch discount. Peking duck is a national dish—you’ve got to try it. The picture definitely looked appetizing. However, when the duck arrived, it turned out to be dry, tough, and wind-dried—not very tasty. I also ordered eggplant, but that wasn’t impressive either. It was mildly spicy, but the sauce was oily and bland. I paid just $44 without tip for one person. But honestly, the meal felt like it was worth about $20. Maybe the restaurant should consider hiring a more professional kitchen team.

Hands down the best Chinese food I’ve ever eaten—nothing else even comes close. Every bite was packed with flavor, perfectly balanced, and clearly made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The portions were generous, the service was quick and friendly, and the entire meal felt like a celebration. You can tell they really care about the food they serve. I’ll be dreaming about this place until I come back—this is now my go-to spot for Chinese cuisine. Highly recommend to anyone looking for authentic, unforgettable Chinese food!

I got the lunch special for takeout from here twice and I really enjoyed it! It's a ton of food (probably enough for two meals), and the fish dishes are absolutely packed with fish. Fast turnaround and great value!
