Yelp
The feeling of the beach or Key West in the heart of Atlanta!
As a Florida gal born and bred, I love myself some seafood. So when I came across The Big Ketch Saltwater Grill when I moved to the A and was on the hunt for some oysters via Yelp, I felt like I was going to be in for a treat. Oh boy, was I correct. Set in Buckhead, The Big Ketch is located in an unassuming plaza, with classy indoor seating reminiscent of a Miami seafood bar and outdoor seating with all of the patio umbrellas you would need to shield yourself from the sun but still enjoy the beautiful weather. Although there's no waterfront seating, the patio is a great place to enjoy the breeze as you take in a delicious meal with the sights and sounds of the city all around you. (I always opt to sit outside!)
From lobster to grouper to oysters, they really have it all. I prefer to come for lunch and enjoy the sunshine, but Happy Hour is the real treat. With $1 oysters, taco and small bites options for a great deal, idk how anyone could not leave HH happy as hell. The oysters, Crab and Lobster Bisque, fresh crushpuppies and wedge salad are my absolute favorite items to order on the regular, and I feel like each bite I take reminds me of why I'm so consistent about my regular bites. Each dish always tastes so fresh, filled with yummy seafood and decadent ingredients - the kitchen team blesses me on each visit.
And don't forget your drink! I often go for a glass of wine because the wine list is so extensive and exciting, but the Buckhead Betty cocktail is sooo good. It's been too easy to fall into the trap of indulging myself a bitttt too much once I realize I'm 2 dozen oysters in and a few glasses down, lol. The Big Ketch does a great job of transporting you to the beach one bite at a time.
