Vast array of all-day biscuit sandwiches, full bar

"A newcomer at Plano’s Boardwalk at Granite Park development." - Amy McCarthy

"A booming fast-casual biscuit-focused eatery that began at The Boardwalk at Granite Park in 2018 and originated in Plano, it recently opened a second location near SMU and is planning four more DFW sites plus a fifth in West Texas. The menu centers on house-made sweet and savory biscuit sandwiches—highlights include a hot chocolate biscuit smothered in “chocolate gravy,” a Monte Cristo with ham, smoked turkey and jack cheese, and a biscuit topped with Nashville-style hot chicken, pickles and ranch—while craft cocktails, local beer, cold brew coffee and kombucha are offered on tap." - Alaena Hostetter

"Plano’s the Biscuit Bar has officially debuted its first location in Dallas near Southern Methodist University. The second outpost of the Biscuit Bar opened its doors on Tuesday, May 21, a little more than a year after the first location opened at Plano’s Boardwalk at Granite Park in 2018. Like its predecessor, the new Biscuit Bar will serve massive biscuit sandwiches, topped with a bounty of sweet and savory accoutrements. At the new outpost, diners will find decadent biscuit sandwiches like the Hoss, topped with Southern fried chicken, bacon, cheese, sausage gravy, and honey butter. On the sweet side of the menu, find biscuits smothered in chocolate gravy and toasted marshmallow fluff, along with biscuit French toast. Because the Biscuit Bar is an obvious brunch destination, more than 20 different cocktail options are on offer, along with draft cold brew and kombucha." - Amy McCarthy

"The Biscuit Bar, a Plano restaurant known for sandwiches served on its namesake bread, is expanding to a second location in Dallas. The original location at Plano’s Boardwalk at Granite Park has attracted healthy crowds with its family-friendly space and massive biscuit sandwiches topped with fried chicken, pulled pork, and more. The new Dallas location will offer the same menu, including the popular 'chicken and not-a-waffle' and cocktails like the Southern Tea." - Amy McCarthy

"Opened in Plano at The Boardwalk in Granite Park, this Southern spot — the first restaurant from husband-and-wife duo Jake and Janie Burkett — is built around freshly made, creatively topped biscuits. The airy location occupies 2,223 square feet indoors with an expansive 1,300-square-foot patio and features a “biscuit window” that lets diners watch the doughy action. The menu spans classic pairings like sausage and fried chicken to inventive offerings such as the F.A.B.B. (fig preserves, arugula, brie, and bacon), while the massive Rough Night sandwich—topped with fried chicken, a burger patty, ham, turkey, pulled pork, bacon, tots, cheese, and gravy—is touted as an ideal hangover cure. Service currently runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m., with breakfast service beginning in early May at 7 a.m." - Amy McCarthy
