"Plano’s the Biscuit Bar has officially debuted its first location in Dallas near Southern Methodist University. The second outpost of the Biscuit Bar opened its doors on Tuesday, May 21, a little more than a year after the first location opened at Plano’s Boardwalk at Granite Park in 2018. Like its predecessor, the new Biscuit Bar will serve massive biscuit sandwiches, topped with a bounty of sweet and savory accoutrements. At the new outpost, diners will find decadent biscuit sandwiches like the Hoss, topped with Southern fried chicken, bacon, cheese, sausage gravy, and honey butter. On the sweet side of the menu, find biscuits smothered in chocolate gravy and toasted marshmallow fluff, along with biscuit French toast. "Opened in Plano at The Boardwalk in Granite Park, this Southern spot — the first restaurant from husband-and-wife duo Jake and Janie Burkett — is built around freshly made, creatively topped biscuits. The airy location occupies 2,223 square feet indoors with an expansive 1,300-square-foot patio and features a “biscuit window” that lets diners watch the doughy action. The menu spans classic pairings like sausage and fried chicken to inventive offerings such as the F.A.B.B. (fig preserves, arugula, brie, and bacon), while the massive Rough Night sandwich—topped with fried chicken, a burger patty, ham, turkey, pulled pork, bacon, tots, cheese, and gravy—is touted as an ideal hangover cure.
