I have enjoyed the Coop since they opened. Owned by the same company as 4Rivers, the feel is similar but with a more southern fare rather than BBQ. I usually opt for the 2 tenders meal but have enjoyed several other items including the new*er chicken sandwich and have really enjoyed the spinach salad with a tender added. I don't come here often since it's not terribly convenient for me so a few things to add that I noticed on my most recent visit. Firstly, the menu has some expansions with more entree selections, a few new sides, burgers, and chicken sandwiches to name a few. Additionally, it looks like their hours are now primarily breakfast/lunch which is fine for me since I'm usually on this side of town for work and come at lunch time anyway.
Ok so for the food, they now have a Nashville style option and I tried this on my last visit. I didn't feel like have a whole sandwich and hack: if you want Buffalo or Nashville style they will do the tenders tossed in it as well. The Nashville is not as hot as other places, but definitely a step up from the Buffalo, but my heat-lovers might be slightly disappointed in the Nashville. The Nashville style is very saucy, less of the dry-rub type I'm more accustomed to but the flavor is there. For the sides I love their coleslaw, collard greens, Mac n cheese. I used to like their fries but this last visit was a stark difference from past experiences here. The fries tasted like boring, frozen and poorly re-heated ore-Ida fries. Idk what was up with that but I really didn't end up eating them since they just were awful.
The service wasn't really anything to run-home about. It was ok, but I found it frustrating the computers were having major issues and the cashiers seemed flustered by it too. They always do a great job keeping the dining area clean and coming around to ask if you need anything though. Food came out hot and quick.
Overall I enjoy coming to the coop for lunch with my coworkers. Be sure to check out their desserts, every now and then I treat myself to something from the dessert case. YUM!
