I hate giving bad reviews. I feel I have no choice in this instance. My bf and I flew in to Denver airport for a birthday trip to Red Rocks. We decided we wanted to stop in Boulder for lunch. After flying all day, we were starved and I looked up all the spots in Boulder on Open Table, and based on the menu and the ratings, we thought this would be a great choice. We arrived around 3 pm and could not have had a worse experience. First, when I asked to sit at a table with sun on the patio, the hostess was visibally annoyed, even though there were at least six open patio tables for all size of parties. I waited tables for many years and I understand that her job is to ensure proper table rotation for the servers, etc., but you never treat your customers with disdain, or argue with them over a reasonable request. This was just an omen of what was yet to come. The server for our table was very pleasant and polite, we ordered two cocktails for happy hour, but they were out of the pina colada that was advertised and that my BF had his heart set on. We then proceeded to wait 20 minutes for our drinks and got our first appetizer about 30 minutes after that, which were sliders that were completely cold. We sent them back. Another 20 minutes went by and we asked about our entrees. The server told us that my crab salad was on the way. I asked, "What about his chicken salad?" and her eyes got real big and then she said, 'oh yeah, it's coming too,' and then hurried off. We then waited another 20 minutes for the forgotten salad to come out with the sparce crab salad. Meanwhile, several tables that arrived after us were well in to their meals or already gone. We watched as the chef had lunch with his gf at table next to us, while our food was inexcusably delayed. We were there almost two hours and left feeling still hungry, ripped off and treated as just another number. I would never go back here and this lunch tarnished my arrival to Colorado for my birthday weekend.
