Cocktail lounge with classic & modern variations plus happy hour in an eclectic, art-filled space.
"Over in River West, the Dandy Crown is once again piercing the veil with Never Trust the Living, a ghostly pop-up with tons of decor and a smart lineup of creepy cocktails such as Ghost Town (tequila, chile vodka, mango, lime, orange, jalapeño), Bela Lugosi’s Dead (rum, lime, orgeat, lychee, rosé, yuzu), and Pumpkin Spice Szn (cinnamon gin, pumpkin, ginger, star anise, prosecco). The free-to-attend pop-up runs through Saturday, November 2. More details and reservations are available online." - Lisa Shames, Eater Staff
"The Dandy Crown in River West scores major points in three key areas. One, they’ve got a heated patio. Two, it’s got two beautiful floral murals, and three, they’ve got Botanist & Tonics. You can welcome spring (and this unseasonably warm weather) by enjoying a cocktail on their patio, along with some of their delicious adobo brussel sprouts. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation
"The Dandy Crown’s chic design includes a lounge area with velvet couches and chairs, framed wall art, a painted mural, and a cozy fireplace. The River West cocktail tavern from the owners of A.J. Hudson’s Public House also has three fire pits that enable year-round patio drinking. Guests can take it all in while sipping on classic and contemporary concoctions." - Samantha Nelson, Ashok Selvam, Naomi Waxman
"Beverage director Sarah Syman provides a very spirited holiday with cocktails emphasizing nostalgia and winter flavors. Warm up with hot crockpot cocktails or indulge in seasonal drinks like Ghost of Christmas Past (reposado, bianco, genepy, chocolate, lemon) and All the Jingle Ladies (citrus vodka, ginger shochu, sparkling cranberry bubbles). The pop-up runs from Friday, December 1 through Sunday, December 31, and offers plenty of free gatherings including trivia, a holiday comedy show, and an ugly sweater event that doubles as the bar’s fourth birthday party. Make a reservation on Tock." - Naomi Waxman, Eater Staff
