"“The lighting is really cool. The mirror and sink just wrap around in such a cool way, I feel like every mirror selfie I’ve taken in there has come out really cool. Their stalls have floor to ceiling doors, which I really like as well. It’s a jazz club, it’s so cool. They’ve got a photo booth in the lobby…clearly, I like photo booths.”" - will hartman

21 Top NYC Bars and Restaurants With Live Music | Eater NY

"The Django is a jazz club in the basement of Tribeca’s Roxy Hotel. The room feels like a cheese cave, or maybe a wine cellar, with vaulted ceilings and a central stage that hosts different performers nightly. Sets start every 90 minutes between 7:30 p.m. and midnight, and a “night owl” menu with mac and cheese and a $30 burger is served starting at 11 p.m." - Paul Schrodt

Django is a very cool underground jazz bar with great cocktails. The vibe is Parisian bohemian, more comfy than chic. The staff is chill, the music is amazing, and the audience enthusiasm is infectious. The night I was there was Latin night with an amazing octet playing Latin tunes with a Cuban influence. What really spiced it up was a seemingly crowd sourced Latin dance class that chose that evening to dance their asses off. I had 3 espresso martinis and am still shimmying to the Latin rhythms.

I loved the artists and performance here. Ambiance, atmosphere was perfect. It is located in roxy hotel which is so cool! Everyone was so chic and looking good. Perfect for a date or girls night out if everyone likes jazz. We were tourists there, so it was perfect ambiance just as we wanted. However, there was 2 things that made us surprised and upset. While making a reservation, we were told that they have a table for 10pm show and it was 35$ and 2 drinks included per person. So we made the reservation. We went there on time and asked to be seated to the hostess. But the lady said that my name was not on the list, but she said she’d help us to be seated anyway. We waited more than 30 mins, and got stressed while waiting because the 10pm show had started already and my friends become uncomfortable. At the end, we were seated to a front table which made us happy. Also, we learned later that we have to have at least 2 drinks and they were not included to 35$. Drinks were rather expensive and not so great. So we had to drink and paid almost 100$ per person which were not told us like that… Each show was around 2 hours-long and there is circulation of table in every 2 hour as far as i saw. So if you go there for 8pm show, probably they will ask you leave in 10 pm to have space for the next show. I would probably go there again for a date and ambiance keeping all these facts in advance and arrange myself accordingly. Thats why i wanted to share it with yall too!!

This place is an experience I do admit that. I went here June 22, 2025. I loved that the building isn’t that old but the basement look like it belong in the 1930’s-40’s when Jazz was just making a solid foundation in music. The food was Devine. I believe I had the steak with mashed potatoes, and asparagus. I love a good steak with a mashed potato so would go back for that alone. The music was decent, but would love to see other performances. The service wasn’t the best though. Our server was kinda slow and seemed distracted. He also forgot a food item we requested, so we didn’t remind him.

Google
Beautiful atmosphere, feels like a real hidden treasure. 🎷Went on a date and both enjoyed very much, very sophisticated relaxing atmosphere also took pictures in the Photo Booth. Tickets plus food and drinks were bit pricey though. The show was lively and there were tons of options for non drinkers.

Google
Great date night spot to watch some seriously talented performers. We loved it. Quick tip - we booked weeks before and confirmed quick which I think meant we got front row seats. The tickets to each show are $35 each and you must order 2 drinks minimum. We thought that was quite reasonable given how much we loved the show - well worth it.

Google
Great spot to go for a date or girls night out. Django felt very cozy and the music made it even better. For drinks I had The Yardbird cocktail (delicious tropical drink) and a glass of white wine. For food, I had the Grilled beef Tenderloin. It came a bit undercooked for my taste but they were able to accommodate and solve the issue. Overall would recommend, at least for drinks and the show.

Kristina S.

Google
The ambiance is really great, live jazz music, frescos on the wall make the experience very special. Definitely pricey as you need to pay for the seat plus must consume a certain minimum but it’s worth it.

Google
Hearing live jazz & visiting the Roxy Hotel while we were in NYC was such a highlight of our trip! Had an 8:30pm reservation & waited in the lobby near the downstairs theater until our seating. Tasty drinks (2-drink minimum) & had a good appetizer (good but nothing overly special) but the music… truly spectacular! They put on an entertaining show for our 90-min seating! Would definitely go back & enjoyed the hip vibe of the Roxy too!

Yelp
Located in the Roxy hotel basement, Django is mainly a live music venue that serves drinks and food (small menu). First, the roxy hotel has a lot going on. Hotel, coffee bar, cocktail bar with live music, cinema and Django. All that is to say that this place is usually pretty busy all night. The entrance for Django is shared with the cinema, so it can get pretty crowded, Django has 2 set seating times that align with the live music sets. If you want to sit really close to the music, come at least 15 minutes before your reservation. They have a $35 cover charge + 2 drink min. I found that if you order food, they wont enforce the 2nd drink requirement. The food was good, but nothing special. I ordered the burger which was tasty. The live music was good and service was friendly. Food took too long to arrive, so that was a bit annoying. Would come back for the music, but skip the food next time. Overall a nice venue with plenty of other options to stick around after the music.

Yelp
Came here last night under a friend's recommendation. We got there too early, so we went to the bar upstairs and got a drink. They were supercharged with alcohol my "rebel rebel" didn't taste like anything except pure rubbing alcohol. Anyways, we finally were seated at The Django and it was surprising to see such a pretty little stage with dim lights and a good service! Our server, however, was rare to be found. The meat and cheese board was fantastic, the tuna tartare was ruined by spice (I'm for natural tastes and flavors honestly) and the artichoke toast wasn't great as the artichokes were pickled or something. Wine was great as well. THE MUSIC!! OH GOD!! We had enough food to stay for two shows so we got to see two different groups, and they were both beyond amazing. I might make this a little weekly thing. Wine, cheese and meat board, and beautiful music.

Yelp
My NYC son took me here for some amazing jazz, stellar drinks and the best oysters I've had in Manhattan. Great vibe: feels like your in an underground bunker. Servers were attentive and nice. Go here now!
google avatar

Amanda W.

Yelp
Staffs were friendly, decor were on point with the bathroom decors being the best. Chairs were cool in the waiting area, but definitely small space with lots of people. There's an oyster and restaurant bar upstairs, and obviously hotel thru the elevator. But it seemed confusing at first if you trying to find the jazz venue bar. You just gotta walk in thru the front door and proceed to the back for stairs or elevator to go down. Easy. The food was pretty ok, but definitely interesting hotel vibe food..

Yelp
Ive been wanting to try Django for a while now and was so happy when I did. It's a cute spot with great live music, delicious food, and an aesthetically pleasing bathroom. What else can you ask for? Perfect for a date spot to impress or a group outing. Definitely check it out.

Yelp
My husband and I went here for Valentine's Day weekend. Since he's a marine he and I don't get to spend most holidays together. This year he was able to be with me for that weekend. I wanted to do something he loves which is anything that revolves around music, specifically Jazz. This place had availability after a late comedy show we had attended. The manager, I don't know her name but she's incredible. She was so kind and remembers so much, she really looks out for her guests. I was very impressed by her. My husband loved the music; especially the drummer. He was phenomenal. Really stood out to us. While we didn't get the full experience since we were late; but the hour we were there we had a lot of fun. The drinks were solid and even had a round of champagne on the manager. Again she's amazing. Will definitely go back.

Yelp
Wow, what a cool jazz club in retro hotel in the Tribeca area. It was a treat from our daughter so it made it even more special. *Note. Reservations are a must! We saw several people get turned away that thought they could just walk in. You feel like you're in a speakeasy with an intimate small crowd very close to the jazz band. They serve tasty cocktails as well as delicious food.
google avatar

Yelp
10 out of 10!!!!!!!!! Our reservations were at 645 but doors open at 630. Get there early because there will be a line! The servers were extremely attentive and the food was *chefs kiss*! We had the grilled tenderloin with wilted kale that comes with fries and a Cesar salad which are shareable items. The drinks were strong so have some food. Now the entertainment----WOW! The nick hempton band KILLED IT! I would pay to see them perform anywhere. The musicians feel the music. They did a set of about 4-5 songs but I wish I heard more. Amazing performance!
google avatar

Yaz B.

Yelp
This place was amazing - it's an intimate lightly lit spot with a ton of character and charm - the performer was a mix of jazz and poetry - we ordered a couple of drinks and and order of fries (as we had just come from dinner) however there was a full menu to choose from - the waitress was constantly coming over to check in - which I really appreciated - there's is also a Cinema and it's located in The Roxy Hotel - the only downside (which is no fault of the establishment) a table next to us was full of patrons who talked very loudly the entire time - so it made it very difficult to enjoy the show

Freddy G.

Yelp
What a place! So you go to the Roxy Hotel, then you go down a level. The Django is behind thick curtains and when it opens, you see a beautifully and tastefully decorated "speak-easy" feel. The acoustics were great, since it was a cave like setting. The music was not too loud and the musicians were phenomenal!! We saw Anais Reno and Ollice Spaulding. Wow!! They and the musicians were amazing!! They both connected with the audience and had amazing voices. The drinks were good and reasonably priced. The hostess and servers were pleasant enough. I would highly recommend and will definitely return when I return to NYC.
google avatar

Christine L.

Yelp
LOVED this spot. Came alone, stayed a long time. Head downstairs in the Roxy Hotel and you'll find this jazz spot tucked into the corner near the theater. Cover fee tends to be around $35 for performances and there is also a two drink minimum. If you like the jazz, this is a fantastic spot as the acoustics and setting are fantastic. You'll find very talented jazz performers here - check their social media or website for who's playing.

Yelp
Solid experience here. Friendly service, good drinks, good music. Loved the look of the space. Was a little expensive for reservations in comparison to similar spots locally though. Overall solid

Yelp
Wow what a great experience! Great jazz music, great cocktails in an intimate underground setting. Pro Tip: Arrive early and check in for good seats.

Karina A.

Yelp
it's a really nice vibe, good cocktails, okay food for a bar, great musician. definitely overpriced $35 cover charge plus 2 drinks minimum just for 1 hour show. watch your receipt because it includes the cover charge on your total. you should only tip on food and beverage, not food, beverage, and cover charge too.

Yelp
This place was the highlight of my wife and I's trip to NYC. The ambience is second to none, really giving the vibes that you stumbled into something special. (And you did!) The staff was super friendly and about as chill as could be. I could see people getting annoyed at how relaxed everyone was, but if that's you maybe stay away from jazz clubs? I chatted it up with everyone - including the musicians, and everyone was a delight. The cocktails were all delicious, with the tropical take on the old fashioned (the melodique) being one of the most unique takes on the classic i've ever had. The atlantic cod was absolutely delicious, and the bacon mac and cheese was INCREDIBLE. I don't order mac n cheese that often, but when i do it's usually strangely disappointing. Not so here. The music was incredible, and has me looking up jazz clubs in my home city!
google avatar

Roy L.

Yelp
NOT A JAZZ CLUB! Attracts hordes of Gen Zers having an expensive date night. Their "quiet policy" is a joke. The food is good and the jazz, what I could hear of it, was great, but I'm pretty sure that few if any of the patrons knew who they were listening to, had never been to a jazz club before, and had no respect for others or the artists.
google avatar

Isabella A.

Yelp
This was a lovely jazz club! It was very intimate and warm with lots of charm. It almost felt like I was underground or in a tunnel and discovered a live band playing music. The band was also extremely good and I enjoyed myself. I didn't order any food, just a glass of wine which was decent. The waitress was also very attentive and always checking in, so good service.

Nathan J.

Yelp
I had a nice time here the two issues I had were. First they confiscate your credit card and hold it all night. Did not really understand that. And than the two drink minimum for people who ordered a full dinner with appetizers seems quite excessive on top of a 35per person cover charge. If no dinner/food order i could understand, otherwise it gives extortion.
google avatar

Gian C.

Yelp
This was a great place, the ambience was amazing. You have to check in and it's a bit crowded in the beginning because everyone is waiting to be called in a small area, once you are brought to your table you will be handed the menus and the server will approach you pretty quick. The food was good, I got the branzino and it was great, their drinks were good as well. I would recommend the lover boy! There's a photo booth by the entrance if you want to preserve this memory. I will be definitely coming back.

Yelp
I used to love this place. At one point, I felt it was worth the 2 drink minimum and $35 cover. HOWEVER, this place is not worth it. We decided to spend my 30th birthday here. Of all places, here. When I told the hostess it was my birthday she volunteered "We'll make sure to celebrate you". NOTHING. Not a comped drink, not a slice of cake. ZERO. I get it, you're a business but DON'T MAKE PROMISES YOU CAN'T KEEP. For a $400 bill, and a LOYAL, repeat customer, you'd think they'd show a LITTLE love. I'll go elsewhere next time......

Matthew A.

Yelp
Got sat 15 minutes past our reservation. Had to move our seats in the middle of the show to accommodate for another party that they couldn't seat. Manager said "he got us" but nothing was comped at the end. One bus boy spilled water all over my lap and didn't even apologize. Another busser grabbed an espresso martini that was half full out of my hand to rush me for a second drink. I felt like I just sat down and the waitress was asking us to place our orders for "last call". This place just feels like a factory. The musicians and atmosphere were great but the awful customer service ruined it for me. Not coming back.

Jon L.

Yelp
I have somewhat become a regular at this establishment, coming 3-4 times in the last couple of months. I love the rotation of different artists and can appreciate the sense of togetherness when listening to the music. The club is very accommodating to the best of their abilities. The only criticism I will say is the two drink minimum is a little exhaustive especially when bringing in non-alcoholic friends. The waiters have told me these two drinks can't be substituted for food/snacks which is disappointing so I will usually have to bite the bullet and pay the $10 charge for not ordering a second drink.
google avatar

Kirsten B.

Yelp
Go if you wanted to enjoy music and the atmosphere but nothing else. I came here for my birthday and left SEVERELY disappointed. My waitress brought our first drinks- I guess she misheard me with my order but I decided to settle because the music started and I couldn't flag her down. We ordered the meat and cheese board- good, but needs more crackers. I order my second drink and the bartender says they can't make this classic cocktail- it occurs to me that they wouldn't have been able to make my first drink either due to the missing ingredient so my waitress just ordered me the closest 2nd option (gin martini) without my approval. I guess their bar is only equipped for just their cocktails, so I ordered off the menu and it was one of the worse cocktails I've ever had. The table next to me received a birthday dessert while we didn't (which isn't the biggest thing in the world but still notable). It was just a sour experience to pay for $35 cover and two drinks minimum that were less than what I would have liked and poor service. They also charged me $22 for the said gin martini. What? The 3-piece band was good, but the band playing in the entrance of the hotel with the larger bar had a piano, bass, drums, and sax. Additionally, the Photo Booth says $5, but charged $13 and flashes with no warning. It was one annoyance after another. Next time, I'd skip the underground aesthetic for the more proper music and possibly more proper drinks on the first floor. I won't be returning.

Yelp
I went to Django on a Saturday night to hear the Tommy Campbell Trio. Tommy is the drummer and percussionist and was very amusing. I was sitting up front by myself and started writing in a tiny notebook as I often do. Jazz inspires my creativity and writers write. I guess Tommy didn't like it and called me out on it by handing me a drumstick. Oh man, I was so thrown off guard. But I spent over $120 there, so my feeling was, I can write if I want to. I've been writing since I was 5, it's kind of in my DNA. There was a guest trumpeter and I wish I had heard his name. Tommy had met him somewhere else, in Europe I think. He told him not to play like he was at the hole in the wall they were at. "Play like you're at The Django in NYC..." and he did. Three years later, trumpeter ended up in NYC and it actually happened. I have to find out the trumpeter's name. The way he played sounded like falling in love. The Django space is really cool. There's a little movie theater in the basement as well as the jazz club. Definitely make a reservation, it will fill up. I got the meat and cheese board. It was good, not spectacular but I do like beautifully arranged food. The French 75 was very well prepared and if you haven't tried one, this would be a good place.

Leslie U.

Yelp
I don't normally leave reviews but the service here compelled me to write one. I love jazz shows and have been to many around the city. Most serious jazz clubs have quiet policies. On the menu it even stated this. The couple in front of our direct view was chatting the whole time and partially blocking our view. Again would normally not do this but my partner then told the waiter as it's on their own menu and website. The waiter responds one of the most misogynistic things I've heard, "oh well unfortunately he's trying to seal the deal". If he had simply told us hey yes we have that policy but don't strictly enforce it or even bullshitted us that he'd say something it'd be fine. I found his comment super gross and dehumanizing to the girl involved. The ambience and music are great but the experience left a very bitter taste in my mouth. I'd say If you want to go here get there early enough to get a better seat. One of my favorite parts about jazz shows is that you're in quiet environment to fully enjoy the experience. Normally jazz clubs strictly enforce their quiet policy.
google avatar

Hailey C.

Yelp
If you want ambiance, come here! It is a beautiful set up and the performances are amazing. However, management seems a bit stressed at times and I found myself a little uncomfortable by all the commotion caused by the manager. Btw, there is a cover charge and 2 drink minimum. I would skip on the artichoke toast but the Django burgers were okay.

Robert W.

Yelp
Summary (to save you from reading all this) - musicians: A+ - crowd: D- (wouldn't stfu, performers shushed them multiple times) - service: C - price: C (overpriced for 45 minutes of performance) Let me start by saying the Jazz musicians were great! They were energetic and actively tried as to ensure the crowd enjoyed the set. Outside of the music the night was a let down. We booked a reservation for 830 and did not actually get inside until 9, the show did not start until 915 and it promptly ended at 10. So we paid a cover + 2 required drinks each for 45 minutes of performance and an hour of seating. Definitely not worth it! Oh and as a bonus they don't enforce the quiet policy so had the opportunity to hear ppl talk throughout the entire set.
google avatar

Yelp
AWESOME ATMOSPHERE, NOT SATISFYING EXPERIENCE Cool place, nice atmosphere and amazing decorum. Walking past the dark and intimate Hotel Roxy Bar then going down the stairs to a basement level to see an old movie theatre decorated lobby on one side and the Django on the other. The musicians were amazing, the atmosphere of the Django and vibe when you're sitting there just makes it such a cool date spot. That is where most of the nice stuff ends for the Django however. A $35 cover fee per person isn't bad if it was for more than about an hour of music but $35 per person and two drink minimum guarantees you spend about $200 to listen to a single set. It's a smart business model, just doesn't actually make you feel good to come here though. Then they kick you out after 90 minutes, expecting you to chug your second drink. The seats are quite densely arranged so service can be slow, the cocktails were okay, salmon tartare was also fine. I would recommend sitting at the booth if possible for the comfort and view, so overall a very expensive short but fun experience that leaves you wishing you got more for your money

Alex H.

Yelp
So much fun!! We got front row seats which was really nice and the drinks are really good! They also have a nice photo booth for some cute pics.
google avatar

Chloe C.

Yelp
Very cool jazz bar in NYC! My mom and I walked in at 10pm on a Thursday without a reservation and got seated front and center. The music was great and such a fun experience. One thing to know before going is that there is a $35 cover per person along with a 2 drink minimum per person, which can get pretty pricey. We didn't have any food but the drink menu was extensive! I'd love to come back with friends or even for a date night!

Paul C.

Yelp
We went to Django's hoping to listen to some good jazz. The jazz was good but we could barely hear it because the audience was so rude and talked loudly through the entire performance. The manageme did nothing to squelch it. When I complained the manager told me she could move us to another table but the performance was almost over. She said we could go to the second set but we didn't want to have the same experience again. She said she did not want to push it too far because she was afraid the talkers would write a bad revue. We were charged the entire amount even though we never got our second drink. Well, this is our revue. There are too many other jazz clubs in NYC that don't have this problem to put up with this noise again. We will not be back.
google avatar

Theresa D.

Yelp
A swanky jazzy experience. When in NY, gotta check out the jazz club right? Located downstairs in the Roxy hotel. There's a $25/person cover charge and a 2 drink minimum per guest. My steak entree was alright, I wish the steak was bigger considering how expensive it was. My friend really enjoyed her salmon with roasted brussel sprouts. The live music was great, it's an experience to see a jazz band live. The warm lights in the room made me feel like I was in a HK movie. A mood. I loved how retro everything was. They're open 7 days a week, definitely recommend.

Cherie G.

Yelp
What a great night out in NYC! If you're looking for a great spot to hear some jazz while sipping a cocktail, head to Django! I went on a Saturday and it did not disappoint. We ordered a few apps too and a cheese platter. Very good. Our waitress was great as she navigated the packed house! We stayed for the first set. Let it be known you can only stay for 90 minutes which worked out fine. It's located on the bottom floor of the Roxy Hotel in Tribeca, also a great space. CHEERS!

Yelp
This place was unbelievable! I went for my birthday on Friday and I had an amazing time. The piano guy was incredible! They were all amazing, I loved the music The food was delicious and the staff were very nice. There is an entry fee of $35 and a drink minimum of 2 drinks per person which is honestly not bad at all. If you don't drink you can always substitute the drink with something else. They don't mind doing that for you. This is a must go to place especially if you love great jazz. I will most definitely be visiting again.

Kaileah B.

Yelp
It was my first jazz club while I visited New York and I did enjoy the music however there definitely are some cons to this place. 2 drink minimum plus a $35 cover for only 90 minutes & you can't even go past that time so it kind of sucks that a portion of that time was spent in intermission of the show. I liked the ambiance. I ordered the artichoke toast, wasn't the best. Drinks were good. Also, when we entered the Roxy Hotel we saw a Photo Booth that had the price of $5 on the front. We were under the impression that it would only cost that but it ended up costing $15 for two photo strips. Was an old school Photo Booth & we had no time to prepare for the first few pics but lesson learned just something to watch out for if you want black/white vintage pics. I would maybe look for other affordable jazz clubs but this wasn't too bad for a first experience.

Yelp
I've been here twice now. The first experience was not great, we came for drinks and the show and the bar was super backed up and we waited 45 minutes for our first round of drinks. If the bar is backed up we would've appreciated a heads up since there's a 2 drink minimum per person for the tables. After talking to the host about our experience, they gave us a Monday reservation (their most popular day since they have a Grammy award winning band playing on Monday's). 2nd time was much better and we got to try the food! It's a cosy spot. Unless you have a booth, you're most likely going to be sitting pretty close to the people around you. We got a great table close to the front and our drink minimum was waived. What we tried- All Heart: yummy drink! A bit on the sweeter side but well made. Prelude to a Kiss: Herbaceous. Sweet but not overbearing. This was probably my least favorite. La Bamba: Wasn't expecting to like this but loved it! Great flavor and fun drink to sip on. Club Steak: Cooked well with a great char and the mushroom au jus was flavorful. Haricot verts soaked up the sauce well. Half roasted Chicken: Juicy and well seasoned! You can tell they seasoned it/brined the chicken well. The broccoli farro salad was plentiful and yummy! The sauce was delicious. Would 100% order this again. Chocolate Pot de Créme: Rich, creamy and delicious! Good balance of sweet and bitter but edges on the sweeter side. The crunchy bits were a good addition and the sweet cream wasn't overwhelmingly sweet/compliment the mousse part. The band was FREAKING AMAZING! They played so well and had great banter. I overall enjoyed my experience with Django! They surprised me with their food and I would definitely come back on Monday's to hear the band and eat more of their menu.

By far one of the best jazz clubs in the city, great drinks and very old school vibe.

Yelp
Cool spot for a relaxed night of jazz music. According to their website the place was modelled after Parisian clubs from back in the day and I think they generally got the ambiance down nicely. The prices are not too bad considering it's NYC, and the service is appropriately attentive. Food was fairly unremarkable but at the pricepoint can't really complain.

Yelp
I sat at the bar I had just left Dizzy's and was there for the music. Although i did cheat & had desert the CHOCOLATE POT DE CRÈME so yummy with a glass of champagne. Hey thats how I tool. my bartender was great very cool, young, handsome & professional. Now for the ambiance & music. LUTHER S. ALLISON QUARTET was just off the charts. Luther S. Allison is a multi-instrumentalist specializing in both piano, drum set, composer. Stanley Ruvinov base, Hank Allen-Barfield drums all great musicians. Now, people I just can't say enough about James Haddad his trumpet player, composer, and arranger from Brooklyn, New York. He is Fantastic! The only negative point I have about the club basically it's audience is that they're not respectful to the musicians. A young crowd that can't shut up while the set is on. I had just came from Dizzy's and headed to Django, lets just say that does not happen at Dizzy's They'll come over & tell you to please stop talking really people it was ridiculous.

Yelp
Cool spot for listening to live music, dancing, drinks, and bites. Located in the lower level of the Roxy Hotel, which is also a very cool venue! I was there to meet a friend for drinks and live music. There was a two drink minimum and a cover charge. I'd go back again.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and entertainment, but we were very underwhelmed by the food. We ordered the kale caesar salad with chicken, which was almost entirely just kale, the snapper and brussell sprout entry (mediocre), and the tuna tartare- which was the most plain tartare I've ever tasted. We had a fun time, and the manager agreed to waive the 2 drink minimum since we weren't drinking and purchased the amount of food we did. Overall, very luke warm experience. There are better live entertainment dinner clubs in NYC.

Yelp
Good atmosphere, pretty good music, mid food, but unsatisfactory service. I wasn't sure whether to give two or three stars, but three is more positive. I came here on a Friday night with my boyfriend a few weeks after my friend's solo visit. My friend had told me it was good but didn't seem to be in a rush to go back when I had suggested going together when planning our time together. After our experience tonight, I get why. The hospitality team really needs to step it up. Here's a breakdown of what happened: 1. Our server came to take our order, and we told her we needed a few more minutes. She was still there, staring at us, smiling. There were a few more meh interactions with her where communication seemed broken. 2. We saw that the performance was from 7:30-10pm, so we'd stay for part two after intermission to support the musicians. The manager came by and informed us others were waiting for our table, but before we could take action, she told us she'd work it out and to relax. After a quick huddle, my boyfriend got up and told her we'd happily give up the table, but she told us not to worry, so we said we'd order more drinks as we didn't want to hog the table without buying more. We then waited for our server to come, and she passed us while signaling she'd be back. However, time passed, and when she finally returned, she told us we had to give up our table. We explained that the manager told us we could stay, to which she responded, "yea, she said you guys would order more drinks, and you didn't, so you have to leave." We were so confused because she never came back to take our order. We were tired of their incompetence at that point, so we just got up and left. My friend, who recommended the place, also had a similar experience with the service. It's a pity because we were excited to try our first jazz club in New York. The venue's potential was not fully realized due to the disappointing service. Even my usually patient and nonjudgmental boyfriend left the venue in a sour mood (less sour than the cherry tomatoes in the Atlantic cod) that needed recovery.

Yelp
Overall rating: 4.5 A quick caveat- I went pre-Covid, so I'm not sure how it is now. I read some of the low reviews and it seems that the service has gotten bad (?) I don't come to an expensive jazz club in a cave for the best service. I get one glass of wine (the cheapest) and I listen to great music. I wouldn't become a regular here because I do like listening to myself think. But! I do recommend giving it a try for a date night. But maybe, pregame somewhere else.

Yelp
Had some luck to visit this place after Artechouse . Better to have prior reservation. 25$ per person cover 2 drinks minimum . If u need a menu and food expect to be there 1:15-1,5 hours , it's a jazz club not a diner . Funky bodyguard the big boy Asked few times for a menu hostess and buss boys Sergio server fixed the menu situation and was a good service . Tip is not included . Food selection is pretty limited they have great steak / salmon / oysters . Little loud close to the stage , I'd prefer to sit at the bar . Overall I recommend to visit this place once or mark for your 100 places visit list go in NY. P.s. I would eat somewhere else before the show .

Yelp
This place is a tragedy wrapped in false hope. The food? Absolutely abysmal ... like someone cooked their heartbreak and served it on a plate. The drinks? Liquid despair, so bad they might be trying to ruin hydration as a concept. But the music? Now that was the one shining light in this otherwise horrifying experience. 1 star. Half for the music. Half for my sheer willpower to survive.

Yelp
Food was excellent, cool ambiance. Had the feel of being in a secret underground club. The night we went was an excellent jazz band from Juilliard. Will def be returning.
