Emily is the best server I have had the pleasure of waiting on me and my girlfriend in a very very long time..... extremely knowledgeable, well spoken and made us feel right at home! She gave perfect advice on which wine and drinks to pair with what food. On the food, we came back a second night after being disappointed at another restaurant! We have now tried the Braised short ribs, venison, filet mignon, and roasted duck, all excellent dishes with wonderful flavor and contrasting textures!

We got the $60 3-course meal for Austin Restaurant week. We saw the same menu priced at $49 for a certain windowfor certain days as well. The food was amazing and beautifully decorated. Chipotle shrimp tastes delicious. Their duck and risotto was one of the best duck dishes I have ever had. Their desserts are very creative and not overwhelming sweet. Service was very nice, too!

I have been planning this dinner at Driskill for a while. Unfortunately, my experience was below my expectations. The service was terrible, slow, and kinda disinterested, which was a big (and bad) surprise as it’s a restaurant of a 5-star hotel, where the hospitality is supposed to be outstanding. The waitress took almost 10 minutes to show up, the soft drink came warm, she didn't give us a cocktail menu, and rushed us to order the food. The silver lining was the food, it was delicious. However, you can go to a bunch of fancy spots in Austin and pay the same price with a friendly staff.

used to be one of my favorite places. they did away with their food menus, only QR codes now. guess I'll never eat here again. too bad. anyone aware of what QR codes are capable of wouldn't let this happen, but here we are. whoever set this up for you is probably stealing your customers imei and other mobile data. i hope I'm wrong but i bet your menu migration was cheaper than it should cost.

Let me start by saying that our server was very nice. But the experience was not accommodating whatsoever. There was nobody in the restaurant but they were still unable to get the 14 of us to sit together. The bill was $1700 and yet it was too much work to split the check up more than three ways. The auto gratuity was $300 and I guess that wasn't enough initiative to be more accommodating with the bill. We would have been much more inclined to leave additional gratuity, but not if they couldn't even be bothered to help us split it up. The food was very flavorful and tasted great, but everyone who ordered the filet received it overcooked. The occasion was my for a friend's birthday, we informed the staff. There was no dessert or anything like that offered. Overall disappointed with the experience, which is unfortunate because my friend is very fond of the Driskill.

My boyfriend and I love coming to the bar for a drink and chocolate cake! For some reason their servers are always so rude! We came here and sat down in the lounge/couch area and the server told us the area we sat down at was reserved. There were no signs in sight and it was the first time I’ve heard the lounge area required reservations. She ended up serving us anyways but with an attitude. We came back today, and tried paying with cash, the server insisted they do not take cash without any kind of explanation. She was short and dismissive. Very disappointed in the service at such a beautiful hotel.

Beautiful place, great service, all of our steaks came out very very overcooked and dry. We were so hungry and disappointed. They didn't charge us for the filet mignons tho. They only had one Cabernet wine😳 Appetizer: Shrimp was good, I don't recommend the ceviche.

The decor is very nice and elegant. But the food! Omggg! Very bad! I ordered beef ribs and this is what came in. A rare, blood-tasting meat. They said it was sous vide and perfectly cooked (horrible). The meat was unseasoned and they refused to season it further when we asked. Also, my friends ordered the wagyu burger well done and the inside was completely rare and bloody. Their burgers was also soggy in loads of oil. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT! It was for my friend's birthday and nobody could finish 75% of their dish. The worst culinary experience I have had a a luxe restaurant.
