The manager and security guard of this place talk rudely. If you have eaten and paid the bill, they do not let you sit. If you cannot order anything else, then you should leave from here. They say this and drive everyone away. And after they not showing his face in front of of cameras. So its my request don’t go this place . Thank you

The service here is wonderful, all the bartenders are attentive and make pretty good drinks. They even had music on the night I went, live music with requests on the piano, cool tiki island vibe, somewhat hidden and dimmer lit.

Really cute hidden gem. Our waiter was amazing and the pianist/ singer was so good. The snacks they had were reasonably priced and yummy. The cocktails run about $16 each which for this year is actually reasonably. Will return for sure!

So happy I stumbled upon this place a few weeks ago! It’s right next to the theater district so it’s a fabulous place for pre-show drinks in a fun environment. The happy hour drinks are delicious and the atmosphere makes you feel like you are entering an exclusive tiki lounge. I’ve been back several times and the service is always amazing and makes you feel welcomed. Most recently we went to celebrate my friend who is getting married and the whole staff (including the piano player) made her feel extra special. Huge thanks to the Friki Tiki staff 😊

We got a same-day reservation on a Wednesday night. They have happy hour until 7. There's a small bar food menu. The happy hour cocktails were the Hugo Spritz with elderflower liqueur, Frozen Paloma, and the Zombie. All were good. The Zombie and Paloma were strong. The shrimp tempura were ok. The Frikimole was good. It was full at one point. They had a piano singer come in who would only do old songs that he knew. He was rude about requests. Servers were nice, but it took forever to get the check at the end. Plus I realized they charged a PBR we didn't order to our table after we paid. The manager would come around periodically checking on people.

Located conveniently in Hell's Kitchen, Friki Tiki Bar is my go-to pregame spot. Their happy hour specials are unbeatable, and the vibrant atmosphere is always a hit. The bartenders are exceptionally friendly, and I particularly love the Rummy In My Tummy drink, which is enormous and perfect for sharing. We also tried the hummus on our last visit and were thoroughly impressed.

I just realized I never reviewed this place. So this might be a bit of a saga. To start, we had been going to the original location in CT for a while. We loved the vibes and, while disappointed to lose it in the suburbs, were so excited it was coming to NYC since we live here. This became our go-to spot after a broadway show and involved great nights of good drinks and singing along with the piano. I couldn't say enough good things. But it was after two recent bad experiences I find myself changing my opinion. First, we came here for dinner and drinks (first time eating here) a night they had specials. After paying our bill we realized we were double charged on some things and over charged on others. Luckily this was remedied but took multiple days of trying to get ahold of staff. More recently, I reached out to the friki tiki about booking the small private space in the back for my birthday. They confirmed and gave me the details and I had sent it out to everyone invited. When I never received the CC authorization, I followed up with them and after saying they would sent it emailed again telling me they actually rented out the whole space that night and would have to cancel my reservation. This late notice and need to change plans made everything very difficult. And then they didn't even respond to my follow up email. While I love a piano bar that isn't over crowded, I now have to reconsider whether I want to keep going here. They appear to prioritize an easy money source over building up a regular customer base and good customer service. It will be sad to lose this in the rotation but it's just not worth it anymore.

OMG do I love this new bar with speakeasy vibes in Hell's Kitchen! My friend told me to check this spot out and I'm so happy we did! We were here on a Friday night around 8:30 and had no problem getting 2 seats at the bar. They have a live singer/piano player who takes requests! The whole set was her playing people's request and she would give them a shout out, which was super fun. The vibe of the bar is elevated surf bar. It is so cute and definitely makes you feel like you are vacation! My friend and I had the frozen drink. It is a painkiller that comes in the cutest goldfish cup. It was definitely strong, but had good flavor to it! We also shared the loaded tots with the veggie chili option and it was delish! It has a bit of a kick, which really added to the flavor and it was a good portion to share. Our bartender (I wish I knew his name!), was so sweet and personable! He really made us feel welcome. I can't wait to come back here! We had the best time singing along to the songs and sipping on our tiki drinks. They have some great happy hour deals too, which I can't wait to try next time!

Very cool place. Bathrooms available. Chair in front of the entrance and the bouncer will let you in. Pretty decently sized venue with nice small bite options (we did come later on at night maybe a bigger menu earlier in the day). Drinks were delicious. A lot of people got the Aloha-Rita I had a skinny margarita (not on the menu but they will make it for you). Live music and kind of split into two places one is right by the stage the other is a bit off next to that. So you can hear the music but still chat. Very nice place. I didn't see an elevator-there are stairs to get down.

Servers were kind but the Piano Player (man on Friday) seems to think he's a talented man who can say whatever he wants. Unfortunately....He makes inappropriate joke, can't sing on key, and doesn't know majority of lyrics. He called out a customer for tipping $1. He said "Chelsea where are you?! Great. This is $1 worth of your song" while stopping after maybe only 15 second of her requested song. clearly trying to make it clear he didn't approve of only 1$ worth of tip. Won't return if he is here. Also asked for Well whiskey and was served Jack which resulted in being charged more. Love the jellyfish though

The high energy tiki vibe is quickly established here. The amazing pianist shouts you a creative hello as you descend into the tropics. The drinks, consistently tasty across all the wild choices, were tiki delights and the Hawaiian Sweet Bun Cuban was INSANE. And even though this place was rocking late, the service was quick and helpful. Going back extremely soon.

We decided to give these guys try while in the area. Limited menu but decent choices for HH I had the Zombie drink not bad taste wise but too much ice , the Frozen drink was better later stitched to this. On the appetizers we tried the Crispy Chicken both Jerk spice not bad & the Friki n hot names says it all too spicy for me, friends liked it. Shrimp tempura was good, nice taste to the shrimp w the sweet & spicy sauce. Winners were probably the Pork Tacos very good great taste to the meat & the Hawaiian sweet bun Cuban tasty little sandwiches. This is an interesting place, lower level cool fun decor, good music playing & chill vibes inside. Service was good & prices were not bad during HH overall we enjoyed our drinks & appetizers.

Cute little tropical speakeasy near TSQ. Delicious small bites and decadent cocktails. They also have live performances such as a piano player, you'll have so much fun just singing along. Hawaiian sweet bun Cubans were definitely a hit and taste even better served cold the next day. The frozen painkiller will have you picturing yourself on a beach. Don't skip on the beef friki tots either. This spot is a must for mid-sized groups or even a date night at the bar!

Saw a play at nearby Playwrights Horizon and our group came here after. It's a bit hidden from the street, but you feel transported once downstairs. The decor is super cool, drinks were delicious (made by friendly bartenders) and the live entertainment was terrific! Would definitely visit again for a fun night out.

I was in the city with some friends, and we were looking for a spot to enjoy music, drinks, and excellent vibes. Found this just by chance on Yelp... And we all agree that this was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! It's a little hard to find, but once you do...totally worth it. We ended up here around 8:00pm on a Thursday night... LIVE piano by Sam was phenomenal. We left before the cabaret show started later in the evening around 10:30.. which we hear was shoulder to shoulder standing room only... This is a spot you should definitely check out when you're in town! A tiki bar only the way NYC can do.

Came here for some pre-show drinks and bites. We tried their happy hour cocktails. Zombie was good, but the frozen drink was better. The hot dog and tots were great. The bar is down a flight of stairs in the basement. Not too big of a place - mostly bar seats with one or two couches. Decor is very vibrant and true to its tiki theme. There's a piano for live music. Literally everyone - from bouncer to host to bartender to waiter, and even other customers - was so nice and welcoming! Great vibes only.

I only came here because I was taking a Jitney to the Jersey Shore and this place was close by. The bartender was PAINFULLY slow. I didn't bother getting a tiki drink, just wine because it took him over 10 minutes just to ask me for a freakin' beverage (and I had to get his attention, *hard eye roll*). I get that it's happy hour but goodness, he needs to be faster for the patrons as others weee actively complaining and it wasn't even that big of a crowd. Even the servers were getting most of the food orders wrong. It was just bad all around. Super questionable spot... Good wine though. I would not recommend this place to anyone I know. I would of been better to going to one of the dive bars around the corner.

Fun new spot with delicious drinks. Happy hour prices 5 til 8pm. Modern, classy, fun decor, nice waitstaff. Felt like they could've played up the tiki theme a bit more (fun cups, music, etc). Can't wait to come back for live music/piano singalongs another time!

This place is so whimsically decorated and is such a great place for happy hour. Really tasty cocktails for $10. We got the Zombie which is a boozy punch drink and their frozen happy hour drink.

Recommended by a friend since it's new to the area. Entrance is unassuming as its warehouse-looking door -- the only indication is a beach chair next to it and guards. Once you go through the doors, you go down the stairs and the vibes transform into an eclectic bar. There's a hilarious and talent pianist who performs all night long and the bartenders are super friendly/knowledgeable about the drinks! You scan a QR code to see the menu and cocktails were mainly $16 dollars. I got the Aloha Rita, which was recommended by the bartender, and it was smoky--not too overwhelming--tequila mezcal drink with a tajin rim. My group and I were barhopping and it seems like a good place to start the night off with friends or as a first date to break the ice (especially with the pianist and his jokes).

Had a couple of the appetizers and they were excellent. Service was very attentive and the atmosphere is adorable. If you're trying to get away from the city this is a nice little escape. The Ronnie's Calmer Brother is an excellent drink choice!

I found this new Tiki bar on line when googling "Happy Hours" in midtown Manhattan. I was impressed that they have happy hour until 8 pm. That's pretty much unheard of in midtown Manhattan. I was pleasantly surprised. The happy hour special the day I went was either a Zombie (think rum punch) or a frozen Paloma. They also offer wine and beer. The drink was actually very good. I felt the drink was made with fresh juices as opposed to sugary cheap juices. It was topped with an edible flower and lime wheel. Nice touch! It's not a huge place but very cute for a girls night out or a date night. There was a decent amount of people but not overly crowded. They have live music from 8:30- midnight. I left around 8 so I cannot comment on that. If you are in the area, and looking for something a little different give this place a try! I definitely plan on going back!

Finally made my Friki Tiki this Monday. Nice light apps, and well made tiki drinks. Super friendly staff!

I remember when this place used to be a surf bar. RIP Reunion. But welcome Friki Tiki, which carries on some of that tropical vibe and--more importantly--the stellar Happy Hour prices. $9 will net you a generous glass of wine--and if you're in this patch of Midtown, that's a real steal.

Cool place. I enjoyed the environment, it was clean and the entertainment was entertaining. Would recommend going to check it out.

Awesome hidden spot in Hell's Kitchen. Service was quick and drinks were tasty, but the star of the show of course was the entertainment! The singer and piano player was in full swing doing 'requests only' show which had the bar buzzing with enthusiasm and right there with her in song! Would highly recommend if you're looking for a lively and entertaining spot in the area

A fun bar in Hells Kitchen with a great happy hour. We were there on a Wednesday when they do showtune singalong which was a lot of fun. Be warned though, the cocktails here are strong

This place is the best. And who would know? You wouldn't know it exists unless you have been directed to it. The subterranean speakeasy beneath Marseille is a true gem. It's not the space, though the space is fun and perfectly lit, it's the people who make your evening a wonderful experience. From the greeting by the manager, Ilir (IL-Ir) who goes out of his way to make your visit amazing, to the bartenders, the beautiful Saoirse (Sircha for short) and master mixologist Gaston and the gorgeous servers Mia and Julia, who are so bubbly and attentive, the place is just a blast. Yury is amazing with service as well, and JP heads security at the door, so say hi if you get a chance. Do yourself a favor and stop by before the place gets too packed to get in.

service is great. drinks were okay. venue is kinda tight but it's a really nice atmosphere. owner is really nice too

The drinks were good and reasonable. The food was decent, they have vegetarian option so it is good to go with friends that prefer veg. The ambience was good too as they have Hawaii theme add it was fun. The service was fantastic, kudos to the team. The only thing its okayish was we kind of overtipped by selecting custom tip, they do not have a custom tip option although the machine says so but it doesn't matter as their service was fantastic.

I would rate this as zero stars. We went as a party of 15-20 people under reservation at 7pm for a birthday party. After just over 2 hours and we were still ordering drinks and food the bar asked us to leave due to the fact that they had booked the whole bar for another birthday party. No one informed our party in advance. We were told 5 minutes before they ushered us out. Telling us that they wanted to give us champagne at the restaurant upstairs called Marseille which they also own. Manager was unprofessional and condescending and should never be in the food and beverage business. The restaurant is a French restaurant and is fancy and not what we were looking for as a vibe. We chose to go somewhere else. Most of the staff was nice and professional. But the manager clearly has no clue why our party and another party who also made a reservation at the tables next to us and a group of 15 to 20 people were asked to leave. DO NOT GO HERE. You will be disappointed.

Had reservations for 3 people to sit in the lounge area, got there at 5:15 basically 15 minutes after they opened. When we went in it was pretty much empty but they told us the lounge we reserved was taken by a larger party. (Ok, don't put lounge available if that's the case or at least notify the party). And then there were high tables empty we asked if we can sit there instead they said also reserved. Keep in mind on Resy plenty of high table lounge spots were still available. Don't allow users to reserve those tables it they're not really actually available. But also keep in mind this place was pretty much empty for the next hour except for one larger lounge party. If there's a minimum number of people allowed to sit at the lounge or high top tables make that part of the reservation requirements. Don't let us walk into an empty bar and put us in the tiny seat tucked in the weee corner. We didn't want to be there so we opted for the bar seating instead, which was fine but still felt so offended empty place and offered the worst table there. I understand if it was packed busy but it wasn't. It was 15 minutes after opening.

THE BEST BAR IN THE CITY!!! I came here with my girlfriends after a Broadway show and we could NOT stop partying. The piano was unbelievable, the staff was so amazing, the vibe was immaculate. A hidden gem.
