The 6 Best Rooftop Restaurants & Bars In Dallas 2024 - Dallas - The Infatuation

"At this rooftop bar/infinity pool, you can wistfully watch cars cruise down the 30 while other people plop into the water and shake their bottoms. You’re coming here primarily for the pool and vibes instead of the food and drinks, whether you want to chill on a lounge chair or play buzzed Marco Polo after a couple of ranch waters. Yes, this place is absolutely chaotic, but it has a soundtrack of ‘00s and ’10s R&B bangers and a fantastic view of downtown. It’s the perfect place to enjoy the sunset, as long as you don’t mind smelling like chlorine when you leave." - gabe bergado

"This rooftop bar at the NYLO—the latest in a crop of younger, hipper hotels—offers spectacular views of the city’s South Side. Come for sunset drinks by the pool or at the bar, take in the Dallas skyline, and make a meal of it, too, thanks to a menu of substantial snacks—hot dogs, tacos, salads, and the like. "

A Cedars standby with a heated infinity pool, skyline panoramas, and art-forward cocktails. Frequently highlighted by Thrillist and Eater Dallas; the hotel’s own listings confirm robust late-night hours and community events atop this independent-minded boutique property.

Nice Relaxing Spot. Great View, nice ambiance. Food menu limited but good selection and not overl priced. For about 12 dollars in 2024 got Large Nachos, with lots of vegetables and meat, quite filling, beers about 5 to 7 dollars. There are many crummy common bars with same prices. This is a very clean place, with clean bathrooms, nice relaxed seating inside and in open air. Great at sunset and late night.

Carrie N

Google
Beautiful view with a chill atmosphere. They had a DJ on the rooftop.

Jocelyn

Google
The views were amazing, got here around 8 on a Saturday night and there were A LOT of seats open, as the night progressed it got very full. Get here early if you want a place to sit. There is an infinity pool but I believe it’s only until 6pm? Food was not great. Would come back for the drinks and views!

Kelsey Walton

Google
This place is absolutely amazing! Great part of town! Easy parking! And amazing views from the rooftop lounge! The drinks were delicious, the food was pristine! And the gentleman at the bar was absolutely professional, and very friendly! 10 out of 10 would recommend!

Chrissy T

Google
This has always been one of my favorite places — the drinks are great, the views are gorgeous, parking is easy, and the overall vibe is always chill and inviting. It’s one of my go-to spots, which is exactly why I wanted to celebrate my birthday here and book a cabana. Unfortunately, the booking process is trash! No one ever answers the phone, the voicemail is always full, and emails go unanswered. There’s also no clear or easy way to book online, which makes the experience feel unnecessarily difficult. It’s disappointing when a spot you genuinely enjoy drops the ball on service when it counts the most.

Google
Take the elevator up to the sixth floor. Nice rooftop spot and a great view of the city. There is an infinity pool if that’s your thing. The Berry Rummy drink was too sweet for me. I like cocktails that are a bit more spirit forward. Overall, this is a good chill spot to hang. There weren’t any vegan options available other than fries and they were hot, crispy and good.

Trent Forbes

Google
Great food and staff. The food was excellent and fairly priced. When you enter the Canvas Hotel, go to the elevator and choose sixth floor. There is seating inside and out but you don't want to miss sunset by the infinity pool. The pool closes at 9pm but the pool party doesn't stop. There was a dj that played great music for a mixed crowd representing many generations. Take a date here for a sunset drink and they will be impressed.

We stayed at the Canvas hotel, and went to the Gallery Lounge for dinner before going to the event we had planned for later. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the place. There are several cool pieces of art inside, but we decided to seat outdoors to enjoy the sunset by the rooftop pool. There was also a fire pit that was lit when started getting dark. We ordered lemon pepper chicken strips and a spinach and tomato flat bread. The food was ok. My fiancée ordered a margarita that was $19. We enjoyed our evening and didn’t really mind the overpriced drinks.

Yelp
We originally came for a DJ set for Justin Beiber's SWAG listening party but stayed for the flatbread ! I got a pina colada and the Texas bbq flatbread. 10/10 , it was delicious and fulfilling enough for two people ! The pina colada was decently strong and tasted great. Service was kind of slow and for something as messy as this flatbread , it's kinda weird it doesn't come out with at least one napkin. The bartender was amicable and attentive, great job on the piña coladas !

Yelp
Good spot for views of downtown Dallas and very expensive drinks. Been here a few times and it never really gets crowded. This is a good spot to bring visitors to show off the beauty of the Dallas skyline.
google avatar

Jenna B.

Yelp
The rooftop lounge is a nice after work spot for leisure activities. The drinks are expensive, but the size of the drink is large so I didn't mind paying the price. The food was good and I enjoyed the ambience. The artwork was very nice. The staff were very nice. I came here after work and it does get crowded around 6 PM. Overall this is a nice chill laid-back lounge to come with friends. There is also sipping paint activities and you can't beat the beautiful view.

Lee B.

Yelp
huge cracks in the ceiling, paper thin walls, we couldn't sleep due to all the activity around us. I would say that it was what seemed like a bachelorette party next door to us that was the problem, but no being able to hear when the other side neighbors dropped what sounded like a pen, we could hear it as though it was in the room. When our upstairs neighbors would walk across the room, we could tell EXACTLY where they were. Upside: No pimps, hookers, druggies, or drug dealers hanging out in the hallway. Downside: damn near everything else.

Fernando T.

Yelp
they had the audacity to charge me 20$ for a tiny and lazy plastic cup old fashioned same size you get from a water dispenser. Good view but the prices are embarrassing and id probably wouldnt go back

Yelp
Five ladies out on the town for Valentine's . . . we choose to visit The Gallery Rooftop Lounge. It was an over-the-top awesome experience. Bartenders, servers and the fella at the door were patient and kind with us! Drinks were good and the food didn't disappoint. Already planning a visit back.

Yelp
Me and my girlfriend came here towards the end of our night. We came pretty close to closing time, so we weren't here for long. We had a drink each and then took some pictures of the view and then made our way out. The view is really nice. Definitely worth visiting for the view. It has a great view of Downtown Dallas's skyline. Other than that, that's probably it. Drinks are pretty expensive. I think we paid like $40 for two drinks. While we were there, the staff is just cleaning up and putting everything away, so we didn't really enjoy it. Just felt like we were being rushed to get out of there. Other than that, it's a decent place to grab a drink. I'm sure it gets pretty packed during the weekends, it was a Monday when we went.

Yelp
This is a hotel bar so take it with a grain of salt, but the drinks are far too overpriced for the location or quality. The staff weren't altogether too attentive, though it was pretty packed that night and the pool looked like it had cracked cement that they've just been painting over. This place could be a really nice hang during the day I imagine, or if you come with a large group of friends and want to camp out at a cabana.
google avatar

Yelp
Loved my drink! We showed up too late for food. I've drank at many places across the DFW but $15 a drink? It could've been a little more strong. The service was slow due to it only being one guy and the pool was VERY BUSY. However, he was amazing and still took his time helping me. He said he created the drink I ordered but I definitely modified it! I Can say the ambiance was great and I'll be back in the future but next time, I'll have a few drinks in the car!
google avatar

Yelp
The bar tender will have you feeling amazing in no time lol. The drinks were great, views are beautiful and hopefully you come on day without a huge crowd.

Yelp
Chill little lounge with a nice vibe just outside of downtown Dallas. The rooftop has some sweet views of the skyline and is a welcoming atmosphere for anyone local, or visitors looking for a chiq spot in the city. Wish there was a bit more seating availability - it's kind of hard to hang out with a decent size group, but would work great for little parties or a romantic date night. I wasn't able to check out the entire menu, but we ordered the beef nachos tasted amazing! Definitely would recommend to anyone in the area or new to town for drinks and vibes. The Gallery is casual, calm, and trendy for all walks of life.
google avatar

Yelp
The roof of the Nylo hotel has s great view of the downtown skyline! Huge windows in the bar highlight the scene, and the outdoor seating has direct gazing access if the weather permits you to enjoy it. The view is worth 5-stars! Friendly bartenders, but the bar itself is only a 3-star bar; average liquor variety, not a mixology bar, and no fixings for mojitos or absinthe drinks. (Go across the street to Monica's for a good mojito!) Side door of hotel indicates Soda Bar, but there is no lobby-sign telling guests to take the elevator to the 6th floor. Worth one trip to check out the view.
google avatar

Tiffany L.

Yelp
The vibe of this place is so great! Great drinks, beautiful views, and it's trendy yet classy. But I thought bartenders are supposed to be friendly and bubbly? Right after my friend and I got our bill, I grabbed my calculator out on my phone to give this bartender a 20% tip and I guess the bartender thought I was taking too long and rudely said to the other bartender that me and my friend needed to 'Get the f*ck out of here and go home.' I don't know her name, but here's a photo I have of her that I got on accident while I was taking a video of the place earlier in the night.

Yelp
This is a pretty nice rooftop bar on the roof of Canvas Hotel. It has a great view of the downtown Dallas skyline. I've come here a couple times for yoga, which is always nice, and once for drinks. The staff was friendly, and the vibe here is nice. There's also a lot of free parking around, which is also a plus!
google avatar

Xia B.

Yelp
Open during Covid, and a welcoming place even for children to swim, I love the vibe of this rooftop lounge. I'll be honest though, a custom cocktail like a blueberry margarita, will set you back $20. Almost all of the cocktails here are between $15-$25. But the bright side is that you can recline on a nice sofa in a cabana-like setting with cream colored drapes blowing in the winds, while overlooking the city of Dallas across an infinity pool.
google avatar

Yelp
I've been coming to this bar for a few years now. This is my go to place when I have visitors. It has the best view of Dallas. I've decided to finally write a review The ambiance is really chilled. The nights varies here. Sometimes I've been here on really busy nights. Sometimes I come and there's no one. Recently I came here on a Friday night with a friend because we had an event across the street. It was emptied. It's probably because the forecast predicted rain. It was a beautiful night. We can see downtown Dallas clear. Prices on drinks are a bit up there, but what's the expect when you're given the best view of town. There's also a pool up on the roof top where you can dip your feet in. Forgot to add, it's on the 6th floor of the Nylo Hotel
google avatar

Yelp
Service:3/5 Environment: 5/5 Food/drink: 3/5 This may be my favorite view of the dallas skyline. Everything else is okay, but it absolutely is the place to go for a good view in nice weather!
google avatar

Remy V.

Yelp
This place is truly a vibe when you're just looking for somewhere to chill and grab a drink. I've been here twice and the first time was my best experience because of the bartender. The second time I came it was a Saturday and it took 15 minutes just for a bartender to speak to me and that's unacceptable because they weren't super busy. I still would come back simply because I really like the ambience and the view when you're outside.
google avatar

Corbin T.

Yelp
Nice place, casual vibe with upbeat EDM & hip-hop. Not too loud so you can enjoy a drink and hear yourself think. Atmosphere is top notch, and drinks are reasonable all things considered.
google avatar

Mike R.

Yelp
Dallas' skyline is the best in Texas (and that's tough for me to say as a former Houstonian). When looking for a place to imbibe, there aren't many places with a view like this to match. We visited the lounge last week. Drinks were potent and priced as you'd expect for an upscale environment. Music was on point (def appeals to Gen Y and younger). The only complaint I had was the winter weather (can't wait to sample the infinity pool during the spring/summer). Order the Blood, Sweat and Tears cocktail (I think that was the name... had a few... lol) and thank me later.
google avatar

Manjari G.

Yelp
Good ambience and view. Nice place to chill and take pics. Drinks were expensive and watered down. Bar staff wasn't friendly.
google avatar

Katelyn W.

Yelp
This will fit the bill if you're looking specifically for a rooftop bar in Dallas. However, it won't blow you away by any means. The city skyline is about all that's impressive about this. I'm sure during the day, hotel guests enjoy the rooftop infinity pool area, but it's overall small and leaves some to be desired. The footprint of the outdoor area is small, almost too small, while the inside bar area is reminiscent of a club. It would have been much cooler had the design from downstairs in the Nylo hotel been brought up to the rooftop. Instead, the vibe is easily replicated and doesn't stand out among the many other bars, rooftop or otherwise, on the Dallas city limits. The area of town is a bit sketchy. It was difficult to find parking on the street, or in a nearby lot that didn't have towing signs plastered everywhere. Anywhere that doesn't make it easy to access already loses points in my book, and when the atmosphere isn't up to par, it likely won't be receiving a re-visit. I assume hotel guests are the primary patrons, but the place has potential to be a public hot spot, especially among millenials thirsty for a good view (no pun intended). The drink specials weren't anything to special, and the service was difficult to judge seeing as we were some of the only people up there (perhaps there's a reason for this). The emptiness was certainly a red flag since the view was as picturesque as it was.

Amara D.

Yelp
Amazing rooftop view, a wonderful vibe, and great customer service!

Shauna T.

Yelp
Cute little area that provides a good amount of chill and upbeat (depending on the night that you visit). Anticipate a crowd on some Friday and Saturday nights, but the rest of the weekdays will be relatively calm. I've been here a handful of times with my best friend and we love the views from the top. I wouldn't say it's one of the highest or most glamorous, but you can get a really nice shot of the Dallas skyline with a nice drink in hand. Drinks are averagely priced, and they do have specials on certain days. They have a limited bar menu as well. Anticipate $10-15 per drink, and the bartenders are fairly heavy-handed. I'm not too big of a fan of the paper cups, but it does keep the pool environment more safe than glass. The infinity pool is extremely small, and I have yet to see people swim in it. It's been a minute since I visited Soda Bar in the summer, so maybe visitors will be more inclined to swim when the weather is warmer. Most nights, people steer clear of the pool and just lounge around it with good company and conversation. It's a pleasant location to visit, and they also provide valet parking. I recommend coming here if you're looking to impress a date with a good view of the Dallas skyline :)

Yelp
The Gallery is a great rooftop pool/bar spot not too far from downtown Dallas. Open to the public with the pool closing at dusk, the drinks and service are pretty good. I absolutely loved the view and the seating it intimate, though if you are looking for shade it's either inside or get there earlier cause there's only one cabana area. I went during my stay at the attached hotel downstairs, Canvas, and ordered a drink (they are not big glasses) to sip and chill in the pool. Not too crowded either days, except the bar had a bit of a wait. If you are coming on the weekend see my tip about parking. You can order a few bites, but a good relaxing spot none the less and there's a great restaurant in the lobby, Chef's Palette if you get super hungry.

Yelp
Ive been coming to this place for a year now! Its a place that vibrant on the weekends. Beautiful views, excellent bartenders (Charles) good music.
google avatar

Aishwarya P.

Yelp
Loved this roof top bar overlooking the Dallas downtown. Great place to sit and relax but the quality of the drinks were not as great.
google avatar

Florence A.

Yelp
Drinks are overpriced but they're very good. The roof has a beautiful view of Downtown Dallas. Great for a date night.
google avatar

Tracy B.

Yelp
Such a chill place before 9pm. And after 9pm it becomes more lively and entertaining. Beautiful views, great drinks, and friendly staff. The manager was walking around and picking up empty glasses, straightening chairs, and making sure everyone had what they needed.
google avatar

Rylee M.

Yelp
The best drinks/food and the best service!! Come here for any event or even just a free weekend. Andy is the best!
google avatar

Lorenzo H.

Yelp
To say I absolutely love The Gallery Rooftop lounge would be an understatement. From the moment you enter the eclectic lobby of the Canvas hotel you'll start to smile. The incorporation of original works of art in the lounge, with the spectacular backdrop of the pool and Dallas skyline will compliment your craft cocktail perfectly. I always find new faces at the bar, and enjoy laughing with them and the friendly staff; some select nights I even get to wiggle at the bar to the sounds of a guest DJ. Did I mention they have reverse happy hours? See you at the bar XOXO Lorenzo
google avatar

Yelp
I went for my 21st birthday and it was amazing!! The bartenders were so patient and friendly and I even got a free drink voucher! Definitely will come again

Zack K.

Yelp
I came here tonight for a good time with my girlfriend and the manager of the bar upstairs on rooftop was so unprofessional! He called me a liar in front of my girlfriend and I expect a apology for that second of all guy called me a liar because I said you charged me twice he didn't believe me so I showed him bank transaction! Just to prove I was charged twice on two different cards same tab! I then was waiting for my girlfriend by the restroom same manager said I looked weird waiting I was like are you serious this guy should not be a manager at all extremely unprofessional I hope to not see him again since I like this bar
google avatar

ShaRae S.

Yelp
Courtney was the absolute best bartender and server ever she was SO PERSONABLE and the atmosphere was great the DJ was awesome we had an amazing time. The manager was being very attentive to the employees and to us (patrons) we had an awesome experience. We will definitely come here again. We will definitely come visit Courtney again and her staff. The whole experience made it feel like home. Great vibe.
google avatar

Abby B.

Yelp
The atmosphere was great. Drinks are OK. VALET is overpriced. This place is honestly not worth your time. It's great for the views and for the pool but that's about it.
google avatar

Shardae T.

Yelp
Super cute! Celebrated my 30th birthday here. Really cool vibes and the view is amazing! A nice classy place to hang out and have a few drinks with some friends. The bar/lounge is indoor with glass windows/doors overlooking the skyline. Outside there were heaters and more seating. Very comfortable for a night in November!

Yelp
A hidden gem! all glam and fun! We loved it!! Sunset was spectacular drinks were "okay"; staff superb!

Yelp
If you want to see a incredible panoramic view come here, take pretty photos etc ... but that's it. The drinks are way over priced for a not so special cocktails. The drinks on the drink menu range from $10-15. there are a good amount of tables from small to large for your group of people. Some of the waiters do make their way around but it was pretty difficult finding one to order drinks from so we ended up getting our drinks ourselves at the bar. I was hosting a group of people for a birthday Saturday evening here. We arrived around 7pm there was still an abundance of tables open. I had spoken to an employee of the hotel a few days earlier about a cake fee which is $50 for bringing in a cake to the bar. I paid for it upon arrival so it could be taken care of already. Later that evening I bring the cake out singing happy bday to unfortunately be very rudely interrupted by an employee asking if the fee was paid for which was exactly what I wanted to avoid but it also very unprofessional to interrupt, the employee could have handled it better by pulling me aside after. All my guest were happy with the view but that was about it. The service was nonexistent besides the first time a waiter came around. My biggest issue tho was the ladies restroom. One of the restrooms was not working but not only that there was water coming from that stall and it was all over the floor. No sign in site either. Mind you this is a 4 star hotel and an upscale rooftop bar, I expected more for at least the bathrooms. The hotel lobby itself was retro chic, nice for photos as well!
google avatar

Indya A.

Yelp
Formerly known as, Soda Bar. Let's just say I didn't expect the shrimp flat bread to taste as good as it does! Very peaceful! I'm here on a Wednesday and I wish I would've brought up my portable office! (Haha) Very relaxing atmosphere. But, they are hosting a private event (a buyout) so I have to go and finish my delicious flat bread!
google avatar

Cecilia P.

Yelp
I ONLY came here for the view. Enter the Nylo hotel, 6th floor, elevators open, you see the bar right away, walk outside to the roof top, you see the infinity pool, and a gorgeous view of the Dallas sky line. Breath taking! Infinity pool is small and only 3 feet. Some lounging chairs around. Service is crap though. People do complain how they use plastic cups instead of glass but I understand its a pain to clean when a glass breaks. Get over it at least your cup won't have someone elses lipstick stain on your drink.
google avatar

Yue D.

Yelp
Had a great night here. Amazing view and a pool. Drinks are not so great but I don't think anyone is here for the drinks anyways... It can get pretty crowded sometimes, but the ambience makes up for that. Good place to hang out. Don't wear skinny heels - the floor if not heel-friendly at all and you might find yourself having difficulty dancing or walking around...

Yelp
This was our first time at the Gallery & our first time in Dallas in general. Mickey and Tiffany made our visit amazing, so much so that we didn't want to leave. They gave us amazing customer service and were very attentive. They made us feel right at home. We had an amazing time. Plus we got to enter to win an Orin Swift art piece.

Yelp
Awful. Terrible. The only good thing about this bar and why I assume they're still in business is because of the spectacular view of the Dallas skyline. Let me Tarantino this review- My fiancé put an extraordinary amount of effort (and money) into turning my birthday weekend into something special. Part of the reason we stayed at the NYLO South Side was because of this bar and the amazing view. Our stop here was going to be the cherry on top of a whirlwind weekend of being wined and dined. But instead the weekend of feeling like a sophisticated adult ended with us feeling like drunk college students and not in a fond memory kind of way. The bar itself is not well maintained. The drinks are over-priced (even for Dallas) and poured into plastic cups. Even my wine was poured into a PLASTIC wine glass! The patrons are a mix of your typical Dallas night club folks mixed with older people trying to recapture their youth. After we spent over $20 on two drinks, I couldn't wait to get the hell out of there and back to our room. Luckily since our drinks were in plastic cups we took a few pictures of the skyline and headed out, never ever to return again! I was truly disappointed with the SODA Bar because I had been looking forward to it all night and the NYLO had done such an amazing job of being so detail-oriented and accommodating that I was expecting nothing less from the bar that sits atop their roof. I suggest you take you $20 to a better bar unless you're into terrible service and bad drinks.

Yelp
I planned to do my proposal to my girlfriend here. The beautiful skyline with the Infiniti pool and a fire pit really sets the mood well. Elsa was my contact for setting up my proposal. Herself, the hotel manager and Chris the bartender were super helpful. Elsa, had to pretty much juggle 2 proposals in the same night and they were around the same time. I think she did a wonderful job in doing so. Although, right after she sat us down at the fire pit, so we could make our way over to the ledge to do my proposal one of the gents from the previous proposal said "oh this fire pit is reserved for another proposal, I guess there's another proposal going on tonight". I looked at him and was kinda like yea... Well no kidding, luckily my girlfriend now fiancé didn't pick up on that obvious hint(Not Elsa's fault tho, hence the 5-star review). All in all it was a great night. It was freezing cold but the fire pit helped. It was a success in my book. Oh ya did anyone mention the view is amazing?

Yelp
Great atmosphere. Went on a Thursday night so it was pretty chill and not too crowded. It did take a bit for our food to come but the atmosphere and view totally made up for it!!! We celebrated our anniversary and got a drink on the house

Yelp
1. Ambience As already so many people had mentioned already , the view is spectacular of the dallas downtown from the roof. The tables are nicely placed so you can sit there and enjoy the view. Also you can enjoy sitting at the infinity pool side. 2. Service In my opinion , the service was a bit slow.It took about 15 mins for the bartender to come and take the order from us while we were standing there at the bar. Probably because there were only 2 persons working there and there are two sides from where you can order the drink so it was being difficult them to handle at the both the sides. 3. Drink The drinks were nice. Although they are served in the plastic cups , but who cares when it tastes nice. Two drinks for $25. 4. Tables and reservation It was saturday night. We reached there by 11:45. All the tables were full and you cannot enjoy the view standing at the edge if someone is already sitting at the table. Because they are placed close to each other. It took us about an hour to get a place to sit. You can barely listen to the music outside so if you wanna hangout with your group of friends than sitting outside would be preferable. If you are going there at night of the weekend , i would suggest you make a reservation. Parking is $10 for valet. For a rooftop bar , the view , drinks i would give it a 3 star. Except that don't expect too much if you go without reservation. You would probably be there standing for an hour in the middle of the crowd. And no one cleaned the table even after the people left. Overall it is a hangout place for you and your group of friends to just sit there , relax and enjoy the view !

Yelp
This place is such a vibe. I went on a Friday night. Drinks are nice (a little pricey), DJ was playing good hits (hip hop/ r&b). The infinity pool is so dope, open all night. The view is amazing. It's a classy and sophisticated vibe, but some people were dressed down. Not too crowded but seating is limited. Not sure what the vibe is during the day or other days out of the week but I'm Def going back again.

Yelp
Great bar at top of NyLo. For a hotel bar, the food was great. Really enjoyed the peso to flatbread. Generous portion. We also shared the wings - not anything too exciting there. But the view makes up for it!!!!
