The Gilroy - Review - New York - The Infatuation

"Fancy cocktails, a “speakeasy” theme, a few light bites, dim lighting - you guessed it: this is a date kind of bar. It happens to be one of the Upper East Side’s best. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

Finally swing by because we wanted a nice place that's not too crowded but offer some snack as well. We stopped by around 9pm on a Saturday and sat up at the bar..ordered a beer and cocktail and some plates to share. We tried their sliders with bacon ($12/3 sliders, bacon +$2), Mac n cheese ($12) and beef Wellington ($18), all dishes were really good but as always, small plates are usually a little more expensive, but it was good so no problem there. Drinks were good too, I got the Nancy Dawson drink and loves it. It's a nice place for hubs and I to chill and be able to chat without all the crowd or loud music. Will return soon for more food!

Mike, who was bartending that night was amazing. The drinks he made were great, even when I request a spicy drink since they didn't have one on the menu. The food we tried was delicious. I live in Brooklyn and very rarely make it up to the UES. I will be back because Mike made the place!!

Came for drinks. Best Moscow Mule in the UES. I also had the Once upon a time in Mexico (not on the menu) but if it's not too busy ask Mike to make it for you. Its a well balanced slightly spicy citrus drink made with Ancho, mescal and lime.

Very nice lounge, with live music some days, very busy with a back area where you can seat and relax while enjoying nice drinks. The whole service was very nice and gentle. The wine selection is great and the cocktails too!

Amazing drinks, the bar tender is a chemist. Light tapas, great atmosphere.

Have a cocktail and listen to whatever the barman has on his iPod...a great place to catch up with a friend.

Tasty sliders (small but good) and awesome drinks (got the "Irish penicillin" and "burden of proof")

The place is closed/out of business. Orange signs posted by NY stating they did not pay taxes and the place has been SEIZED.
