What a unique and pretty way to celebrate a girls day out. My friends surprised me for my birthday and we all felt like queens. We tried three different teas- mango smelt and tasted incredible, ginger and chai also equally delicious. The mini sandwiches were refreshing. The scones AMAZING. Pastries were so pretty and good.

Absolutely excellent! My hubby is picky and only turned down two items. Scones were amazing. It was my first time trying clotted cream but I can honestly say I prefer the lemon spread over it. Well worth it. Only downside was while dessert was varied, if you want to try everything you have to cut it into parts so each person gets some.

We go here every 3-4 months. We love eating their delicious food and scones and of course the tea is amazing!!! The owner is so sweet and friendly. We can’t wait to go back again. 5 stars all the way around. Best tea house in GA

Only tea room like it around. The interior was nice and wasn’t too crowded on a weekday. Had to put down a deposit which was unclear where they got the number from and had to provide credit card information over the phone. The deposit was more than the price for one person. Actual experience at high tea was very disappointing. We tried to order 5 different teas which were all out and was forced to pick only a few that were left. They were also out of Shepards pie and tomato pie which was upsetting since we paid extra for the savory options which we didn’t even get the one that we wanted. Waitress was apologetic, seems more like a management problem. The finger sandwiches were nice and the tea we were given was tasty. Would recommend afternoon tea instead of high tea!!!

High tea was a lot of fun! The decor was beautiful, and the ladies who took card of us were friendly and attentive. We especially enjoyed sampling each other's teas. 😋 A grab and take of ginger yums was a nice ending. Thanks for a great experience!

Dearest Gentle Readers... Must it have been the crowded and rather cramped spaces, or perhaps the lack of clarity in policies and directions? Yet, alas, the tea was poured, and well and truly sipped with appreciation. The Ginger Room is nestled in a most serene and tranquil enclave of Alpharetta, a perfect setting for such a refined establishment. My acquaintance with this venue arose through the owners themselves, whom I follow on social media and have grown to admire greatly. The interior, one might say, positively exudes the essence of an afternoon tea room, though I must confess, it did feel somewhat cramped and cluttered. That said, such spatial limitations did little to diminish our primary objective--the pursuit of a delightful tea experience. We were attended to by two young staff members, charming and sweet-natured in every regard. Though their demeanour was pleasant, the level of service one would expect at such an occasion was regrettably not met. Perhaps if the staff had been more seasoned in the art of high tea, the experience might have unfolded with greater finesse. Directions and policies, I am afraid, were not clearly conveyed. It was necessary to request essential items--cream, sugar, refills, cups...--on multiple occasions, which contributed to an overall sense of disorganization. As for the food, a number of items on the menu, including both teas and dishes, were sadly unavailable. While this was somewhat disappointing, it did not detract from the overall enjoyment. What we did sample was indeed delectable, with the sandwiches proving most agreeable, and the scones nothing short of divine. I would, however, welcome the inclusion of more non-pork and vegetarian offerings in the future. It should be noted, however, that many of the teas did seem rather diluted. And, our requests for refills were sadly ignored. And yet, dear readers, despite the minor imperfections encountered during our visit, we found the experience to be most enjoyable, and one that we would not hesitate to indulge in again. *side note: we had ordered a refill 45 mins before our time slot was over but they forgot. When we reminded the 15 mins before it was ending they said “no” because it was almost over. How was that our fault that you forgot? We did not like the other teas we had and were waiting for the refill of the one we liked. Please keep that in mind, and for the business this was not okay. Yours truly, Lady Whistledown... jk... Xoxo, Mina

Elegant place for afternoon tea and birthdays . I recommend scones here. I liked setting as well. It has indoor and outdoor seating options. This place is historic Skelton-Teasley House.
