"This coffee shop has a two-hour limit in terms of how long you can hang out without buying more stuff. We actually think this is a good thing, because it means you can usually get a seat here. The space has a chic living room feel, and you can choose between desk-type or couch-type seating. The coffee is pretty good, too." - neha talreja, nikko duren, carina finn koeppicus, sonal shah

Such a welcoming vibe, with vibrant decor, and community-style seating. There are little nooks for reading and solo time, and a big couch with chairs set up living room-style for friends + outdoor seating for pairs. The staff was so friendly. I had Japanese-style iced coffee and a croissant and enjoyed it all while reading a book. Will definitely return to work from here, meet with friends, or just read a book.

10/10 vibes of this casual hang-out coffee spot. Mix of cozy living room, college lounge, and modern coffee spot. Top notch 3rd space. The drip coffee is nothing special: a medium dark roast. No coffee bags featured on shelves. I’m sure a customer can find a drink they like here, though, which will be worth it for a chance to exist in this space for a while. Hopefully in the future they institute some sort of laptop policy to avoid it becoming a laptop cafe. Coffee score: 3/5. Everything else score: 5/5. Overall score: 4.5/5.

What a beautiful place in the heart of Chinatown. Coming inside from the chaos of NYC feels like stepping in a different universe. Love this place and the service is fantastic Derek and Carter are great baristas and make beautiful and tasty beverages, I met the owner he is a very nice guy, dressed up like a Red Dead Redemption Character. The cafe can be rented for private events at a reasonable price.

Had the cappuccino latte and matcha latte, both of which are pretty decent, good but not out of this world. Location is ok, and there's a fair amount of indoor seating and a few outdoor ones. Bathroom is clean, you'll have to ask for the combination from the barista. Wifi is decent. There are just 2 glaring weaknesses: - there is NO decaf option for their drinks - there is no sugar free syrup

Only and first cafe that I found serving pistachio latte that has no sugar added. It was pretty good with strong pistachio taste. But I think I can conclude I prefer oat milk over pistachio in my latte. Lovely spacious cafe with working space.

Tried the japanese iced coffee, it was quite strong for me. I liked the self serve sugar aspect, to add as much or as little as you prefer. However there was not enough milk in the coffee. Staff were not the friendliest, but the music choices were quite good. It’s a nice spot to sit and catch up, with plenty of seating. For $4, it is on the cheaper side of iced coffee, which has sadly risen in price overtime.

The Granddaddy serves good coffee & more like food. You have money? Good, give them the $ and they give you tasty coffee back. Americano coffees are consistently good , here. The coffee shop provides a nice space—though it’s filled with lots of laptop and tablet people…so your mileage may vary depending on the crowd. Fair amount of seating inside and some on the sidewalk. Clean, warm interior. Quirky—generally friendly staff. Come for the coffee but stay and pick up a cool Granddaddy matchbox for free!

Great espresso and Cappuccino in Grand Daddy's with an atmosphere that any artist would love. They have tables for laptops and a NO laptop zone which I found cool, board games. Great location near the Grand st train station (B, Q, and D line)
