Didn’t have a proper meal, but did have drinks and the amazing dessert which the bartender recommended- the crispy French toast! They appear to have a decent happy hour. Chill local spot for the area

This was beautiful experience🤭 Well we had a drink to start off at the best and was then seated once our table was ready. We sat outside under one of the larger "umbrella" things and I thought that was pretty cool because the weather was perfect. Food and drinks were great. I definitely recommend the salmon Benedict! I could eat that every morning. Girlfriend had the chicken and waffles and was upset with having to strip the meat from the wings...it was a lot of work. Chicken should be served without the bones when it comes to real chicken and waffles 🤷🏽‍♂️. Overall it was a great experience. The atmosphere was great. The people were great. It was just great!

Love this place! Awesome drinks, a great variety on the menu, special mention of the short rib pot pie and the fried cauliflower! We go every Thursday for trivia, great vibes and pretty solid free parking in the nearby neighborhood

I love the ambiance of this restaurant. So rustic and beautifully designed seating area. I went there for coffee and dessert and also offers proper dinner/lunch. I will surely visit again to try their food menu. We ordered french toast with scoop of ice cream. Deliiiiicccciooooous!!! 💓♥️

Comfy and quick place for well presented coffee! There were many places to sit, the coffee came out quickly, and service was friendly. Had a great experience here and will be back for sure.

My friend and I have been making it a weekly tradition to explore as many Silver Lake restaurants as we can after work, and we stumbled upon this gem on Election Night. It was happy hour, so the prices were really reasonable. We tried the brussels sprouts, mango habanero chicken wings (with sauce on the side), and sriracha fries. The brussels sprouts were by far my favorite--sweet, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The fries had just the right amount of seasoning, and the wings were cooked to perfection. The bartenders were friendly and made us feel right at home. We ended up chatting with them about everything from the election to TV shows, and the other customers were just as welcoming. We ended up talking with them for over an hour and a half--such a great vibe all around. The ambiance had a unique mix of vintage and modern vibes that I absolutely loved. It felt stylish and cozy, which was the perfect setting to unwind after a long day. 10/10 would absolutely come back. Can't wait to make this spot a regular in our rotation!

Great place for Happy Hour. The drinks for HH are premade but it's pretty decent and has some savory food items. It's self order at the bar, seat yourself at any open table and they will bring your food out. It's a cute place to hangout and they have themed nights such as Trivia.

This is my first time at guest house - I will be back, and often! This place is perfect for a nice summer day. Exceptional staff and service who were very kind to our party and our eight month old puppy. We went for happy hour order a couple of dollar old fashions and beers. We had the mango habanero wings that were so good we ordered another round. They are pet friendly, and we had the whole patio to ourselves. The staff were very accommodating and checked in with us often.

The Guest House is attached to the Home Restaurant, with shared patios and restrooms. It mainly functions as a full bar specializing in cocktails, and also serves light bites and regular food menu, basically same with the main restaurant.

Everything was amazing from the food to the service . Our Server was very friendly and attentive and share some good food options with us. The waffles and the French toast was nothing short of amazing . The chicken portion was amazing they give you enough pieces to get full

Delicious cocktails made by attentive bartenders who want you to enjoy your night is the best way I can describe this place. It's an intimate lounge with comfy, plush seating where you can grab some drinks with friends and have a great time and vibe while still being able to hear yourself talk. There's also a food menu but we didn't get around to that. Next time I'm trying some for sure.

It's been a few months since we've been here but we got to come and see ray again and he's awesome we love him as our bartender every time he's so attentive and friendly come and see him

Came here for happy hour one time with some friends. We had a cozy high table for three of us. Because we ordered some food as well, it was a bit tight, but it was nice. They were playing sports on TV when we came and the vibes were nice. There were some cute booths and couches if we had seen them earlier. The service was a little spotty, which knocks off a star but other than that, it was a good time. The food and drinks were all $8. Had the moscow mule which was pretty good and then switched to beer. The skinny zucchini were basically shoestring zucchini fries and those were delicious. The wings and the brussel sprouts were also good options. Overall a cool place and would come back again!

I went here recently on a date. We didn't realize it was trivia night so it was hard to hear each other inside. Thankfully they have outdoor seating with fire pits. The staff made sure to check in out there and turn on the fire for us. My drink - something with mango and mezcal - was just OK. I would like to try the food next time I go.

Been here many of times... before and during happy hour... vibe is great thee bartenders are great the ambiance is so cute and chill def a great date night spot or viben on great strong drinks w your friends. Never a dull moment when my wife and i come they. Make sure to stop by and say hiii to ray thee bartender hes Awsome!!!. Been here atleast 6 times will come back. If you love dogs def the place to say hi to some cute to beans!!!!

This place is fantastic. The drinks were on happy hour and the bartender was really friendly and approachable. We were able to sit on a two top seat against the window near other people which felt a bit more intimate than at the bar seating. Everyone we encountered here was super friendly which is sometimes hard to come by. Highly recommend for their happy hour and daily specials!

I've passed by this place so many times & finally gave it a shot. My friend and I came during happy hour; you can sit at the bar or the patio. I can't remember the bartender's name that served us, but he was very friendly, easy on the eyes, and attentive. My friend got mac & cheese, which she loved. We split the drizzle fries, & the crispy chicken tacos were a 10/10. I recommend trying them. Plenty of free street parking in the neighborhood. I will come back again for dinner.

The Guest House is the bar portion of Home Restaurant. I've been several times and always enjoy the delicious craft cocktails. As for the food, I've been a fan of most everything I've tried. I've had the cheeseburger & fries, the taco salad, chicken nachos, fried zucchini appetizer and the fish tacos. All highly recommended. Their cookies are served warm and are amazingly soft with a crispy edge. But the pièce de résistance is the French toast a la mode for dessert... a definite must have! Their bar top has a large tv, so it's a great place to catch a ballgame. Great food, friendly service and a comfortable, chill atmosphere. Check it out!

Night out with the girls and this place was great for a mid-week get-together! We just came here for apps and drinks. I got the Bourbon Berry with bourbon, blackberries, lemon juice, and ginger beer. Light and fruity! I paired it with their Drizzle Fries which were good. It's fries topped with chimichurri, sambal aioli, sriracha, and parmesan. Nothing like I've had before and all the sauces blended nicely together. Cheers!

Great spot....came to cacth the game KC vs Bills...drinks are amazing love their Old Fashion on point! The food also on point Egg Sandwich is WOW and their Grill Chicken sandwich is delicious.....but the staff is even more amazing Host Josh took care of us with much love, highly recommend

I've been here a few times for happy hour and have finally had a chance to write a review. First off, I think it's the perfect place to have a casual, relaxing happy hour in the company of good friends. The atmosphere is very bright and old-timey, staff is friendly, and there's plenty of seating on a normal weekday. We ordered an assortment of food from their menu - the Brussels sprouts, Sriracha fries, mango habanero chicken wings, and fried zucchini. If you want some classic bar food to go along with your drinks, these will suffice. I didn't find any of the flavors to be particularly memorable - most were pretty standard pairings, things you could find at any bar. The Brussels sprouts were a little on the soggier side for me, although flavor was decent with a hint of Fresno Chile. The habanero element of the chicken wings felt slightly lackluster. Both my friend and I felt as if they didn't have as much spice as we were expecting, although the mango part definitely was there and offered a sweetness to the wings, which tasted similar to your regular honey mustard wings. The zucchini was okay; it was fried and served with an aioli, however they tasted also slightly too soggy for my liking and I felt like I tasted mostly the breading than the zucchini itself. The best of the snacks was perhaps the sriracha fries which did have a sense of salty spiciness, but was still a more mild form of your classic Cajun seasoning. Overall the food was mid, it will get the job done. But the overall other positives of Guest House make up for what the food lacks. The DRINKS were the best part!! We had several rounds of the blood orange margaritas which were so delicious! While I wish they were slightly more alcohol forward, the flavor of the blood orange was undeniable and gave such a nice, summery feel! The drinks were definitely the redeeming factor to the experience.

This was an amazing place to eat omg the scenery was perfect the drink were extremely fantastic. The workers were all very nice and welcoming always checking up on us like dayum that was very impressive service was 10/10 No doubt about it.

What a disappointing last visit. I absolutely loved the place before the pandemic and I finally was able to come back last night I really really wanted to like it but thinking back on how I spent almost $30 on a sip of a drink and some fries. Well ya it angers me more and more now that I think about it The bartender was nice but I did see him pour the drink out in front of me and I'm not joking when I'm saying he beyond shorted me. And he added like 5 huge ice cubes that filled up the cup and the liquid still only went up halfway with all that ice I have gotten this drink plenty of times and it's not a 1 shot and don't drink it's a cocktail that you sip But it felt like a shot and the ice soaked it all up and that's literally the whole reason I walked 2 miles to get this drink And I got the $7 fries thinking I would have time to sit and sip my drink while eating these but I was finished with my drink way before the fries came So yes $26 for like a sip feels like the biggest rip off in the world I know I should've said something at the time but he was being nice but that still doesn't mean I should let myself be ripped off So ya I don't think I'm coming back ugh such a disappointment because this was a place I would come to like weekly

You must visit this place if you are in or near Los Feliz! This is one of the restaurants on the more affordable end but still gives you the Los Feliz experience. Their indoor dining is super cute and they also offer outdoor seating. It truly is unique in its style. The staff was all very nice and attentive. I would return for their DELICIOUS strawberry lemonade and their yummy garlic fries for sure.

Very nice atmosphere and really friendly staff. Not great vegan choices here, they have Sriracha french fries, which were uncomfortably spicy. Other choice was Brussels sprouts which were ok but daily oily. The happy hour is quite well priced, we had old fashioneds , drinks weren't great however. Wish the food and drinks were better as the other Osphere and staff are good.

Went here for Fathers Day brunch. They were very accommodating. We actually wanted to go next door the Home Restaurant but the wait was too long. Both places are connected so I guess it's the same ownership? We got seated in the bar area. The interior is super clean and stylish. We had our kid with us and they brought crayons and paper which was helpful. Of course I forgot everyone's name but all the employees were very nice and professional especially our server. He was so friendly and attentive. The food? Oooooooomg it was super good. We got the tostada and chilaquiles. I'm eating the leftovers now and I'm thinking we need to go back asap. The coffee was good and they refilled our mugs like 3x... bathrooms were clean too! This place is great for brunch. Would like to see it at night. Definitely going back!

Beautiful restaurant in Los Feliz. This is the same restaurant as Home. The guest house is more for appetizers/drinks. The wings here are great and come with ranch. Try the Mac n cheese that was awesome too!

Great atmosphere and outstanding associates. My son's birthday and the dessert was grand. We had a party of (8) and the accommodated extremely well.

What a wonderful establishment to grab a drink or to have dinner. I recently was in the area and came across this joint. The place is lively, welcome and staff are very attentive. They follow guidance of mask mandate and I felt very safe eating here. I was able to sat in the back patio toward closing time. The staff did not rush us and asked us to take our time eating. My food was delicious and it came quickly. I definitely would come back again. This place is definitely Yelp worthy

Love the happy hour here, where most food and cocktails are "$8"...my first time going ! Loved the atmosphere, koi pond, and seating. Felt like I was in a little tropical beach side bungalo bar. I did not take any photos unfortunately as it was just a happy hour moment. Would definitely go back...the prices seemed very fair for the entrees too, which is a pain point for me, so I will come back for the spare rib!

Came here during the scamdemic! The restaurant is very lucky that it has so much outdoor seating. I made a reservation for 8:15pm, but we weren't even seated until 8:45pm. They need to limit tables to 90 minutes. Otherwise people sit around and continue to drink while the rest of us stand on the sidewalk. Overall, the fried cauliflower was ok. My oven roasted chicken was pretty good. The BBQ ribs were excellent and the best menu item we tried. Might come back for brunch sometime as the menu is yuuuuge!

Have been coming here for years, food is just amazing. Anything you trying will be delicious.The staff is so welcoming and kind. No matter where you sit, you're surroundings will be absolutely beautiful. This place is a must come visit

Came here for their happy hour with my roommate & we left very pleased :) the ambiance inside was perfect for a rainy night - cozy, soft lighting, stunning bar display & very social kind bartenders. We order the habanero wings with sauce on side, (ordered seconds), sriracha fries, 2 rounds of Blood Orange margarita & Red Wine. Bartenders Ray & Pat were very friendly, quick on being attentive & had many suggestions for eating / drinking nearby for my roommate who is new in town from AustinTexas . I ordered the nachos with soyrizo to go (not on happy hour) to eat on the ride home and they SLAPPED. We will definitely be back.

Had lunch here with friends an enjoyed everything about the place. Located in a place that used to be a private home convertex into a restaurant. It had ambience as well as good food. I tried their fish and chips which had 3 pieces of cod and a ton of fries and strawberry lemonade. We sat outside and under a huge shadec tree which blocked out the sun. Overall I would come back and try other entrees.

5 stars for ambience, cocktails, and food. Minus two stars for the grumpy bartender who seemed like he was annoyed that we were even there. Personality goes a long way in the service industry... we came all the way from the South Bay to check this place out, and it was disappointing to have the underwhelming welcome. Oh well, everyone has an off day, hopefully that's all it was.

Undeniable charm is what this place offers, in the setting of a Victorian home that has been retrofitted with a respectable cocktail bar and a noteworthy coffee game. Their outside porch seating is my favorite because it feels so neighborly to be seated at wooden tables, watching the world pass by. The porch partially faces a sidestreet and also has a corner along Hillhurst Avenue. Patrons are allowed to have well mannered dogs underneath their tables. During the day I find it to be an excellent spot to while away some time or focus on writing. The lack of outlets should ward off heavy computer users. I don't come here to use the computer. It feels more like a classic old-timer space where you can think and create and dream. Their six dollar wine or basic cocktail happy hour is perfect for someone who wants to start to unwind with a small bit of relaxing alcohol. I like the service, the ladies who work here are warm and hospitable. There has been good thought put into the standards of hospitality. The curated ambience is undeniable for its genteel sensibility. So welcome after the harsh commercialism that is rampant in Los Angeles. (And their prices for coffee drinks are around $5. They have to make rent!)

My cousins and I celebrated a cousin Christmas here. I had the bbq rib plate, delicious . The banana hammock and the pink Paloma were also very good.

We wanted to try a new place for some drinks and thanks to Yelp we headed to Los Feliz and decided to try this place. The menu is huge! I was a little disappointed though because online it said happy hours all week, including weekends, but once we got there, they said no happy hour on Saturday. But we decided to order what we planned to order anyway. And whoa...their drinks are fantastic!!! Soooo good!! And we ordered server Appetizers and we liked all of them! We saw others ordering the burger and that was definitely something we need to try next!! The outdoor dining vibe was super nice!! You'd never know you were right next to a busy street - water fountains, koi fish, lush green plants. It was super nice! A cool spot to have brunch on the weekends or go for drinks, like we did!

Randomly drove here after hearing a few reviews. The building itself is an old craftsman home. They had a large selection of food and serve breakfast until close. Ambiance was nice and the service was fast and correct. The short ribs were delicious and the filet mignon was cooked to perfection. Bring a jacket if you have to sit outside past dark. Parking is not easy but there are residential areas to park for free instead of valet. Also, bc if covid, they only allow you to stay around 90 mins.

I'm a sucker for cafes that turn into bars. I am all about that liquid life and when I can be productive during the day on my laptop with a cup of something caffeinated by my side and never break stride (except for sustenance in solids form) until dusk when I can switch to an adult beverage and either carry on with my boss lady digital activities or have someone meet me for happy hour, I am living my best life. Complimentary WiFi, plenty of seating, half off pastries from 2-7pm, a DJ spinning some nights and a late-night HH In Fri/Sat from 9-11pm round out the offerings of this craftsman home turned business.

The bartender was rude at the beginning. I believe he realized he was rude for no reason and gave us ok service after that. The food was cold I believe it had been sitting for a while before it was brought to us. I will give this place another try.

I went to The Guest House with a group of friends in the evening! The decor is so cute and it's really located in an actual house. We ate dinner on the porch and it was such a cozy feel. We have the olives, sausage in a bun, fried chicken sandwich. For dessert, we had the brownies and bread pudding, which was incredible. Everything was so good and I just wish I lived closer.

Next door to Home on Hillhurst, you'll find The Guest House, a quaint little coffee/cocktail bar where you can savor locally sourced Angeleno ingredients in many of their bites and sips. The cafe/bar is great for an intimate night or large gathering of comrades. The bites are shareable and there are many to choose from. The cocktails pack quite a punch with their generous pours but remain well-balanced. We arrived in the evening and were seated on the patio. I highly recommend sitting outside to catch the sun as it sets. The converted craftsman is decorated with mismatched charm. The restaurant is comfortable and makes you feel like your relaxing on a friends porch. The service is friendly and unpretentious.

It's a very asthenic place with a lovely fountain and bar. The service was good, I had breakfast sandwich that was definitely way too oily and I probably should have sent it back but it wasn't the day for that lol my stomach did hurt a bit after. So I would recommend it for the ambiance not food lol

Okay, so this isn't my first rodeo at The Guest House, as I though that writing a review for Home, the restaurant connected to it, would be enough. My lazy a** was wrong. Never mind that the food they sell here is in-and-of-itself amazing, but the coffee is on point, and get this: They serve alcohol! "So, what?" You may ask. They sell alcohol right next door at the restaurant, too. Silence, you fool! They do not serve the coffee cocktail they make to such perfection here. And that's the whole reason for this review. While the rest of their crafted cocktail selection as well as craft beer brews sound amazing, my favorite drank in LA, thus far, is something called 'The Works,' made with Nola Liqueur, Alchemist Orgeat, and a shot of Counter Culture Espresso. If those names mean nothing to you, just know that it is one of the creamiest concoctions you will get in terms of cocktails. At least, in this area. If nothing else, the java is great and a safe bet if all you want is a decent cup of coffee. However, if you want some food without the full-blown restaurant experience, their food menu is also very well-rounded and delicious. That cocktail, though... Get it!

I'm here for this. Part coffee shop, part cocktail bar, part cafe, Guest House is adjacent to Home and the ambiance is in line with its name. Here, it is easier to find a table than next-door PLUS you can enjoy both AC and WiFi. What other modern amenities do you need? I've enjoyed many bites from Guest House including the arugula salad (which has ample beets) and the zucchini cardamom bread (soft, thick, sweeter than I expected). The menu is actually slightly more varied than you'd expect and pastries are half-off after 4pm. Service is always excellent. Two thumbs up!!

This was Sunday date night dinner for the bf and I which turned out to be a second stop as our first was a flop. We were pleasantly surprised to find this cute homey place. Notably we found the guest house to have an extensive menu for all tastes. The bf and I shared tequila lime pasta and chicken tenders which were quite impressive. We also had some drinks: mule and a the hillhurst which we loved and were refreshing. Our waitress was welcoming and attentive. The music was just right. We will be going back to try the brunch and absolutely recommend this cozy place.

went here last night for dinner with a girlfriend and had the best time!! the drinks were great, the food was delicious, the staff was so sweet and the aesthetic was on point!!!! can't wait to go back!
