All-Day Neighborhood Restaurant and Bar Cruising to Coronado - Eater San Diego

"An eatery billing itself as the “greatest neighborhood restaurant” is headed to Coronado’s main thoroughfare of Orange Avenue this summer. While its locations in Phoenix, Dallas and West Hollywood are massive, The Henry in Coronado will have a slightly smaller footprint; it replaces Costa Azul and rings in at still-spacious 5,176-square-feet with a 1,445-square-foot patio with outdoor fireplace." - Candice Woo

The food had a lot of flavor and tasted fresh. The short rib dish was really tender and delicious. The fried rice dish was probably our favorite. The scallops plate was fresh and had a unique taste. And the lemon olive oil cake topped it off with fresh strawberries! Would highly recommend.

The Henry is one of our favorite spots to eat in Coronado. The food, service, decor are all top notch! They offer a variety of wines and signature cocktails which we also enjoy! We have been their for brunch and lunch, and are always happy with our selections. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Outdoors is pet-friendly. Reservations recommended!

Google
Such a great restaurant in Coronado while visiting San Diego. Excited to come back after dining here in 2021. Great food. Great service. Our server was Enrique and was outstanding. We had a great experience. We celebrated my daughter’s 25th birthday and they gave her a dessert choice—Olive Oil Cake. She loved it and shared a bite. We’ll be back next time we visit.

Google
Omg best house salad I’ve ever had. Their ranch has dill in it, so good. Homemade croutons I’m like super hungry for it right now. Too bad I’m far away 😂 the tomatoes were delicious because it’s California I guess ! They undercooked my burger, and then I hate sending stuff back, but they were nice about it and they remade it. It was a great atmosphere. They said the wait was 15 minutes, but it was really like five. You can ship while you wait. My friend loved the honey chicken sandwich and my other friend got tortilla soup. It was very full of ingredients and looked really cheesy and delicious.

Just eat here! We missed the breakfast service and waited for the lunch service to start. We left our name while we walked around and checked out the quaint shops nearby. We were called to be seated by a very friendly hostess. Yes, I will also point out that her makeup was on point!! She took the time to ready herself. She has pride in herself and respect for the business and the patrons. The kids menu is perfect! Delicious quality food even for the little ones. I had the chicken avocado salad and boy did it hit!!!! I would absolutely recommend this salad! The quality of all ingredients were obvious. No bad pieces in this at all! The burger was amazing!! Great ingredients! Premium beef! The service was exceptional! Just eat here!!

The Henry lives up to its reputation. We couldn’t get in at night during our recent trip but were able to enjoy a delicious Sunday brunch. The food is not your typical breakfast fare. I had an egg white omelet with turkey bacon and somebody delicious cheese. The omelet sounds so simple but it’s the preparation, seasoning and herbs that made it sing. The Bloody Mary with crispy bacon was perfection. Best home made mix I’ve ever tried. We had a dish with chorizo that was outstanding. I can not say enough positives about this famous eatery. Hostesses were friendly. Service spot on. Kudos to the chef and owner.

Google
Pretty venue with a mix of indoor and outdoor seating and a wide variety of dishes. The salads and bowls are healthy and hearty - I especially enjoy the avocado, cauliflower, pesto and hummus dish (recommend adding an egg). The sweet and savoury caramelised Brussels sprouts were also amazing.

Google
Such a nice and beautiful restaurant. The food was flavorful and the drinks were tasty. We went for a bachelorette breakfast and they were super accommodating and helped us make the bride feel very special. Great service!

Yelp
Took my friend and his 2 boys here on NYE. They got us in promptly. We sat outside. We were greeted at the Table with warm blankets. Drinks were next level. Food came out and was stellar!!! Had such a great time....so we decided to go back the next day. An absolute must if you find yourself in San Diego/Coronado.

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for quite some time. And I'm so glad I finally did! It's a beautiful restaurant, well decorated, vibrant and seating isn't close together. Place is spacious and the open kitchen concept makes for good people watching. Indoor and outdoor seating available. The food was top tier. As a chef myself I pay attention to details. They hit the mark on flavor and presentation. We started with coffee and the Cinnamon Swirl French toast with apples and raisins. The first thing I noticed was FINALLY someone put enough butter on the French Toast! The bread they used has this buttery, baked sugary goodness that was noticed in every bite. The apple and raisins were soaked in some bourbon maple sauce that caramelized the pieces and gave it that golden caramel syrup that coated all the bits like a warm blanket. We mentioned we were going to share this dish when we ordered and when they brought it out, we both got a half serving on our own plates. That was a nice touch. I ordered the Huevos Rancheros Enchiladas, added rotisserie chicken. Great flavors, not too spicy, scrambled eggs were soft and not over cooked. I did find a couple small bones but it didn't negate any good from it. Staff was notified. Manager came to the table and apologized for the oversight. I told him at least I knew it was from a real chicken The coffee is good. I had some with sweet cream. It has a back end acidity so adding cream smooths that out nicely. Sabrina was a sparkling gem of a waitress. She is all smiles and exudes joy. We enjoyed talking to her and she was very attentive. (Management: keep this one, make her happy. Employees like her are far and few between. You're lucky to have such a well-rounded, kind person working for you.) They also have a grab and go pastry and coffee bar at the front. Perfect for a quick stop when you're out strolling around Coronado. I can't wait to come back to have a crack at the dinner menu. There are so many things I want to try! I gotta birthday coming up and hints for a birthday dinner here will definitely be dropped.

Yelp
My friends and I came here for dinner and we really enjoyed the food and atmosphere. I stuck to my healthy eating goals and ordered The Henry Salad, but I also had a piece of Truffled Bread which was amazing. What's even more amazing was the Crispy Japanese Sweet Potatoes. Honestly, that's better than any dessert I've tasted and it's not even a dessert! If you love sweet potatoes, you must order this side dish when you're at The Henry! I promise you will love it!

Yelp
The Henry is a cool spot in Coronado, but unfortunately there is often a long wait if you don't have a reservation. We put our name down on the waitlist around noon on a Sunday and waited an hour and a half. Also, unfortunate that when they add you to their waitlist on OpenTable, you can't see how many people are ahead of you. We ended up walking around Coronado while waiting and it was fine. We were seated at a high top table outside. The restaurant is very large and they have indoor and outdoor seating. Food and drinks were excellent. I got the harvest bowl with chicken and everything about it was delicious. We also started with the shirt rib potstickers and they were great as well. Everyone loved their meals and cocktails. Service was good. Parking is street parking in Coronado, so just a little walk, but you can find parking in the neighborhood.

Yelp
We stopped by the Henry for lunch on a Monday it was hoppin for a weekday! With a chic inside and a large, outdoor patio this venue did not disappoint. We were checked on several times by our server and the homemade pretzel bread with provolone cheese was a table favorite. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and cannot wait to go back!

Yelp
Late Post: 08-25-24 First time here and came for a birthday lunch with a friend. This is located on the main strip in Coronado, so only street parking available around the area. This restaurant offers indoor and outdoor seating. We chose to sit inside. I like the decor inside and they also had a lot of very healthy plants around which entertained me since I love plants. The staff here is friendly but our host was even friendlier and very attentive to our needs. They have a pretty good size menu but we went and tried the following items: Short Rib Potstickers - this came with six potstickers with a sweet and savory sauce. The potstickers had a lot of meat in it and almost tasted like bulgogi-ish to me. Soooo yum! Korean Skirt Steak - The skirt steak was perfectly cooked and marinated. Sooo very flavorful and had so much umami. This comes with double egg fried rice and yummy fixins. Bolognese - This was a highlight for me because it had two of my faves, truffle and herbed ricotta. This was so rich but it a very, very good way. Key Lime Tart Brulee - This was our complimentary birthday dessert. This was just perfect amount of tart and very good. Such a nice location and close enough to Nado Gelato for extra dessert! I highly recommend this place, please go and try it. Hoping to go back soon.

Yelp
This is typically where me and my siblings end up having a bite when I'm in town visiting them. Not a surprise that we ended up having appetizers after walking around checking out the xmas decoration at Coronado. Mind you we had dinner before we left home. Wild times My siblings shared the oysters. I wasn't in the mood. I got the orange beer which turned out perfect. We shared the toast, potstickers and spicy crispy rice. Awesome times per usual. They never disappoint. I'm sure we'll end up here again the next time I'm in town. Otherwise, I'll be at the location by where I live. Thanks for the consistent good times.

Yelp
The Henry is always a great stop when in Coronado. They have a great menu, beautiful restaurant and walkable. We started with dinner here and walked to hotel del to see the lights and holiday decor. Our server was so nice especially since we had a little one with us. The food tasted very fresh and we all enjoyed our meal. We shared the tuna appetizer and each got mains. I had the pasta dish which was very good. The sauce was very flavorful and the perfect portion size. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Cute restaurant, love the decor and their patio. We ended up doing takeout with a $10 off $20 for signing up for their loyalty rewards. We picked up their breakfast potatoes and the famous shortrib potstickers. Both items came nicely packaged. Potstickers had good flavor. Very tender and the dipping sauce pairs well with the potstickers. The breakfast potatoes were extra crispy almost too dry. The food overall was good, but definitely on the oily side which left us feeling a bit heavy.

Yelp
I came here for my birthday and they left a special birthday card for me on the table. They were very nice about my large party showing up pretty late. I was there on time but the rest of my group trickled in for about 30 minutes. They were very kind and understanding about that. We ate outdoors and it was very cute. The waitress came to check on us often and let us order food once the whole party arrived. I split the french toast and the salmon bagel with my friend. The french toast was really good. The bagel was a bit dry and only had salmon and cream cheese. I also got a non-alcoholic strawberry highball to drink and I enjoyed that. Sweet but with a little tang or zest to break it up. They gave me a free birthday dessert and I chose the bread pudding. It was amazing! The perfect mix of an apple pie and bread pudding. And caramel ice cream on top!

Yelp
Came here for a birthday brunch with a reservation! I would recommend coming with a reservation because there was a line when I got there. It is also located on a busy main road, so it might take some time to find a parking. After checking in, we were seated right away. The overall vibes and ambiance of this place is amazing! Staff were super attentive, kind, and accommodating. The food!! Oh my goodness, so delicious. If I could go back in time and experience this for the first time again, I would. Literally *chefs kiss* lol :) I forgot to take pictures of our drinks, but the coffee & guava mimosa were both yummy! The iced matcha latte with oat milk wasn't the best I've had, but not a dealbreaker!

Yelp
Drinks do not taste good here but they look pretty. I had truffle fries, a few appetizers and my friend ordered a burger. The food was great though. I want to come back but the food options were a bit limited. The staff are incredible. So nice, friendly and welcoming. Accommodating even.

Yelp
The Henry was great! Came in for a Sunday brunch date, reservations highly recommended because it was lively and busy for a Sunday brunch. The French bistro vibe meets Coronado chic ambiance was light and airy, and the open air (including glass walls into the kitchen) feel works really well here. There is a also a walk-up coffee shop connected where you can get coffee and pastry and then the restaurant has a full bar and large menu with lots of breakfast and lunch options to choose from to eat. Our group mixed with some going breakfast and some lunch, and everyone left happy. Servers were also friendly and attentive.

Yelp
The food was good, but not highly impressive enough for a five star rating. We had reservations on a busy Saturday evening and were seated promptly when we arrived. We sat at a booth table which was comfortable. The table next to us brought their dog inside which should have not been permitted. I am a dog lover, but others may not be. For the food, I had the truffled brie toast and seared tuna chop. The brie was gooey with a touch of sweetness from honey and cranberries. The tuna salad was fresh, light and filling. Since it was busy, the restaurant was loud, but we could still hear each other. I'd consider coming back for brunch.

Yelp
What a cute place in Coronado! I recommend arriving early to beat the crowds, but you can always order a coffee from their coffee window while you wait! Overall, great experience at The Henry! The staff were so sweet, especially when they realized we were there on a bachelorette trip. They quickly sat us and offered to take a photo of our group. We played a game and opened gifts at the table and the staff were very accommodating. We all had a fairly light breakfast because we planned to go to the beach right after. We all enjoyed our breakfasts along with the coffees we had ordered prior to being seated. We absolutely loved the aesthetic as this was something I was looking for when planning a brunch location. We did not make reservations but were lucky that we got seated quickly. I totally recommend visiting The Henry or at least walking by for some coffee!

Yelp
Great vacation lunch! We sat outside and it was a nice casual yuppy vibe in the heart of Coronado. I ordered the sprouts and squash salad and it was so good! It has so many different flavors and textures going on from the roasted Brussel sprouts, cauliflower, kale, quinoa, pecans, etc. Others enjoyed their items too. We were celebrating a birthday and they brought out the key lime brûlée. Dang, that was so good and pretty. Service was friendly and it was a great overall experience.

Yelp
My omelette was cooked to perfection. The kid's breakfast was impressive. It came with toast, bacon, eggs, and yogurt. As a mom, I approve of this breakfast. Great service all around. Of course, the Henry is beautiful.
google avatar

Gabriella R.

Yelp
While the food was yummy, the ambiance here is unbeatable! It's cute and the street it's on offers lots of cute stores to explore if you have to wait. Our waiter was very friendly and attentive and answered any questions we had about allergies. The truffled Brie toast was absolutely amazing!! This is the perfect spot for a yummy brunch on a beautiful island. What a start to the weekend!

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of dining at The Henry in Coronado, and it was a delightful experience. The vibe is open-air with the sea breeze coming through but with stylish and elegant fireplace decor around that feels cozy and cool. I started with the Brussels sprouts and the short rib potstickers, which were so savory. The dipping sauce that accompanied them added just the right amount of sweetness with tang. For my main course, I tried the rancheros bowl, which was a vibrant and hearty dish. The ingredients were fresh, and the flavors were well-balanced, making it a great option if you're looking for something filling but not too heavy. The service was friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive vibe of the restaurant. If you're looking for a place to dine in Coronado, definitely consider The Henry!
google avatar

Yelp
Seldom do I gush over a single coffee drink, but The Henry got "The Butcher" coffee drink correct. I ordered this togo from their walkup window (see outside pic) with a macarron. The Butcher is a coffee drink with 2 shots of espresso, Colombian drip coffee and a splash of sweet cream (see menu pic). Let's get past the sweet cream; this added a very distant smoothing effect that added little sweetness to the coffee. BUT, this drink was rich and full bodied without any astringentnesss or bitterness to it. While the Macarron was very marginal, this drink went incredibly well with the donut from a neighboring restaurant. The Butcher coffee drink is worth stopping and getting. The walkup window was very convenient and quick.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our Saturday evening at the Henry! Service was perfect, they came when we needed them and didn't hover or make us feel rushed. The atmosphere is cute and Christmasy and they also have sports games on which is nice. Food was tasty and fresh and we even tried a Christmas themed drink they had! Very nice date night spot
google avatar

Yelp
Pineapple mezcal drink is to die for! Pretzels with fondue were burnt and flavorless... Fries were excellent... espresso martini was just ok. Things were either amazing or mediocre.
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! We had some friends in from out of town and they wanted to go here. The food was incredible. It was so good that I forgot to take pictures. The setting and ambiance is very clean and fits the beach well. Highlights: -Wildflower Iced Latte was so good and refreshing. -The Hot Honey Chicken Sandwich made me immediately want to come back. -Our server was great with all our kids, recommendations, etc. We will definitely return to The Henry.
google avatar

Yelp
Rounded up to four stars but it's a 3.5 star experience. Service was very friendly but the restaurant was clearly understaffed. It took almost 15 minutes to just get water. Our server was hustling though so this didn't seem to be his fault but more an operational issue. My aperol spritz was good. The salmon bagel was good as well but needed a bit more salmon and toasting of the bagel. The side potatoes were nothing to rave about (not very crispy, pretty bland). The pretzel bites cheese sauce was very good! But something was off with the pretzels themselves. Maybe they were a bit too big because they weren't crispy enough on the outside, and were doughy on the inside. I did like how spacious the restaurant was! Nice comfy booths and plenty of seating. Definitely need a reservation on a weekend.

Yelp
Great brunch spot! The food is very flavorful and tastes fresh. Classy service and laid back atmosphere. A little pricey, but it's worth it. I recommend trying the potstickers!

Yelp
I went to this restaurant ona weekeday and it was almost full luckily I made reservation The host was nice and helpful This was for anniversary Liked the ambience it has a cool young vibe Good for friends outing and date night Parking : was street parking it was not hard but it was a week day so I can imagine it may be difficult on weekend I do mostly vegenterian Sprout and squash salad is delicious has sweet tast to it FULL of flavour Harvest bowl mix is full of flavour My husband went with shrimp taco and he loved it They have breakfast and coffee so I imagine it is good for breakfast or brunch Overall happy Do I recommend it? Yes
google avatar

Yelp
Order the short rib for dinner, the burger and fries for brunch! The ranch is the best everrr. It's always super busy here because it's on the main coronado strip so a reservation is best unless you don't mind waiting. The menu is really diverse and there's something for everyone. But beware it's very $$$
google avatar

Yelp
Wow! This was amazing food! We got a reservation for later the day before. We were exploring Coronado and decided to ask if they had something sooner. They had something within 10 minutes for 2. The place was very nice, had a large bar, several TV. You could kinda see the kitchen. The staff was pretty good. They oddly asked for the wine glasses and then grabbed it from their stash. They were out of the beer I ordered but I didn't need a beer anyways. The food was amazing! The Umami Brussels Sprouts was delicious. Crispy but not over done. It had a salty, slightly Asian flavor. It had cheese but it wasn't a cheese flavor. The braised short rib was very good. The Seared Ahi Tuna was probably in the top 10 meals I've ever had. It was all my favorite flavors and everything went together so well. Also a good spice level. The food was American but all cultures. I would take the ferry to Coronado just to come here again.

Yelp
The Henry always have a lot customers whenever I visit Coronado, and their Yelp reviews seem to confirm that their food and service are excellent. With that, my husband and I decided to give it a try and it did not disappoint! We were put on a short waitlist but were called and seated within 20mins on a Sunday morning. The wait really wasn't bad as there are many cute shops to visit downtown, and there are copious outdoor/indoor seatings at the restaurant, so they turned over tables fairly quickly. We ordered their egg sandwich and California Burrito with steak. The portions for both items were huge, and they also came with sides of crispy potatoes. Both were delicious and hit the spot for the perfect Sunday brunch. Our waitress, though busy tending to many tables at once, was friendly and efficient. We will likely go back after we try out some of the other restaurants in downtown Coronado!
google avatar

Yelp
Came to The Henry on a Saturday... it was packed! I left my name on the list while we walked around and drank at nearby bars. Drinks are good, and food is delicious. If there is something you MUST try it is the short rib potstickers , they are simply that AMAZING !
google avatar

Amir L.

Yelp
Staff are great. Sometimes you have to wait for seating but ambience is great. They don't rush you out. Food is ok. Don't expect gourmet quality food but the coffee and dessert was incredible!!! Definitely will go back for dessert and coffee. Get the wildflower it's basically a dirty chai and it is delicious!!
google avatar

Julie T.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite restaurants in San Diego. The service we received from Heider on Christmas Eve was IMPECCABLE! He was very knowledgeable about the menu, personable, and checked on us regularly throughout our meal (though he was not intrusive). He exemplifies customer service at a restaurant. The food, as always was delicious, as were the drinks. I had the Scottish salmon, and my husband had the sprouts and squash salad. YUM! We will definitely be back.
google avatar

Paul S.

Yelp
This restaurant is a fast favorite for Us! My wife had the ham quiche wish she fawned over for two days after. The cocktails the staff all were great! We can't wait to return!

Yelp
I was staying at the Del Coronado but felt there food wasn't offering value for what they charge. I'm glad I tried The Henry for a late, light meal ahead of a planned networking dinner at a local sports bar. The Henry was a very nice spot, convenient walk from The Del. I sat at the bar and ordered a draught and the tuna chop salad. So simple yet so perfectly executed. I posted pics on my "foodie_favorites_"on IG. I so enjoyed my salad, I returned the next day for a quick lunch during our conference break. The Henry was jammed but the hostess said we could order at the take out window and take a seat at one of the sidewalk tables and they would bring the food out. This time I ordered the shrimp tacos and again, perfectly executed. If I lived on Coronado I would be a regular. Great experience all around.
google avatar

Scott S.

Yelp
This was an excellent meal in the heart of Coronado! The pasta was fantastic and very flavorful, and the service was spot on. The restaurant itself had a relaxed vibe. I know where I'll be eating whenever I'm on the island!
google avatar

Danielle R.

Yelp
Always a go to restaurant. Great service and even better food. Highly recommend the vodka pasta and their desserts are AMAZING.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
The aesthetic of the restaurant is very cute and fitting for Coronado. HOWEVER it was very frustrating to see all other WHITE guests that arrived AFTER us get served first (water, menus, food, the check, etc). We had to keep reminding them to even bring the water after waiting 25 minutes... I placed my order for the turkey French dip with side salad. It came out with French fries instead which is fine but it def added to the overall negative experience. The food was mid. Au jus basically was water and sandwich was dry. The aioli it came with was good tho. Overall wouldn't come back.
google avatar

Angellica S.

Yelp
Amazing food, great service, and lively environment. Simple process to make reservations (highly recommend since it gets busy!). They also offer a military discount. We really enjoyed the food here - don't recommend the drip coffee though because it was super watery. Other than that - kids had a blast and so did the parents!
google avatar

Suzanne D.

Yelp
Breakfast was a veggie scramble- I like asparagus and that was one of the veggies so a new addition to eat. I had a drip coffee and my friend had a latte. Maybe because I'm from the Southeast but I've never paid 50.00 w/ out the tip for breakfast for two- we did not have alcohol either-I guess that's par for the course in Coronado. The decor was nice - we sat inside as it was cooler that morning- We also arrived after they opened so no waiting for a seat-it's a popular place so I imagine longer wait times later in the day. I'd go back for lunch as the food was quality and service prompt.

Corey H.

Yelp
Great food and exceptional service from the servers. Everyone very friendly I would recommend

Yelp
The location, ambiance, and overall experience was amazing! I ORDERED: SPICY TUNA ON CRISPY RICE - I always get this every time it's on a menu. The texture of the rice was perfect and flavor of the tuna was good! Usually when I eat this dish it's with sauce, rice, and tuna and all the veggies on top was nice but it was a lot going on but overall would order again! SEARED AHI TUNA - This was my favorite dish! I liked how the rice was soft and mushy and the curry was light and wasn't too heavy SHORT RIB POTSTICKERS - My husband loved this. The wonton itself was super soft and there was a lot of meat ALL AMERICAN BURGER - Your typical burger, my husband liked it nothing too fancy OVERALL / CUSTOMER SERVICE - The service was amazing. They were quick and attentive!

Yelp
One of the first stops on our San Diego trip is always brunch. None of us have ever been to the Henry, but it was a perfect choice to be in Coronado, with dog-friendly seating. Unfortunately one of our friends was stuck in LA to SD traffic, but the server was super understanding and accommodating. We did get a couple of drinks and dishes served to us accidentally, because we were sitting there for a while, so we understand. While waiting, we got a summer sangria and coffee to start. I had hoped for the summer sangria to be similar to a tinto de verano based on its looks, but beware it is not fizzy or lemonade-y, just a typical sangria. Once our last friend arrived, we ordered and were served in 15-20 mins. I shared the All-American Burger, Chicken Tortilla Soup, and Seared Ahi Tuna salad. The burger hit the spot and it was a good balance with the tuna salad. The soup was alright. Our friends each had a Harvest Bowl and left no crumbs. Across the board, our dishes left us satisfied and not feeling groggy/overstuffed. The outdoor seating next to the bar, and openness of the indoor restaurant makes for a really nice spot to brunch in on a sunny day. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
The Henry never disappoints!! I just wish they would add their Honey Hot Chicken on the dinner menu!! I get so excited to come here for lunch and I always forget they still have this on the menu! By far one of the most delicious chicken sandwiches I've had in San Diego!! The atmosphere and the service are always a 10/10! The food came out so quick and was amazing! Even though they were busy they still managed to seat us earlier than our reservation time and we didn't have to wait long at all!
google avatar

Ryan M.

Yelp
This restaurant hits all of the marks. We went for dinner on a Thursday night and the place was packed. Make a reservation. The atmosphere is lively, the service was great (Peter is an attentive server) and the food was delicious. Our meals ranged from the Bolognese (mushroom truffle), to the Filet Minion (melts in your mouth), and delicious desserts. We will return to enjoy a dinner here again!

Yelp
First thing first food was great ! The wait time ruined the experience a bit but I take full blame for that for not making reservations. It was well over an hour and the hostesses weren't really friendly. I would've loved to sit on the patio side but beggars can't be choosers and I didn't really want to risk waiting even longer. The inside is too dark for my taste. I went with my 2 boys and it's not the vibe I was looking for(very dimly lit). For appetizers we ordered the potstickers (which were nothing special) and the spicy tuna and crispy rice which were to die for. My seared tuna chop was also fantastic. My son loved his Korean skirt steak which he said just melted in his mouth. My other son had the shrimp taco platter which was disappointing...a little cold and lacked some flavor. Overall loved the food so just make a reservation so you won't have to wait so long.

Yelp
I found the upscale contemporary brunch dinner restaurant on Orange Ave in Coronado Island. The Henry, I loved the ambiance w comfy lighting, seats, especially i can see the open kitchen all the chefs are cooking. They have an outdoor patio w fireplace. Beautiful inside and outside!!! Even restroom....very upgraded scale. 5 stars too. I was not hungry after hotel breakfast so I ordered only a glass of red wine, Bonanza. My hubby got white Chardonnay. I can say, excellent service, great wine selection, awesome ambiance. That is why I give perfect 5 stars. Big thanks to our server, Enrique, he was so friendly, great conversation about our trip, sorry about the lunch visit. We were so tired to walk back to the Henry from the hotel. Next time we will definitely have lunch or dinner. I found korean dish as an entrée. The price is $$ to $$$. The service is excellent. They open early for the brunch. Love it.

Yelp
The Henry on Orange St in Coronado is classy, Island chique! my horseradish turkey sandwich, while hearty, with au jus sauce, it was overly salted. the fries were pleasant and tasty. a tad pricey. beautiful and expansive decor.

Yelp
I was in town visiting my daughter that had just arrived back from deployment with the navy. We were walking around Coronado and stumbled upon this place. The wait wasn't bad to get seated. Now I don't know the market in this area but it seemed way overpriced for what u get & being from Orlando I guess it just shocked me a little bit for what an easy lunch here cost is all. We ordered the chicken sandwich with a side of sprouts. Food was excellent yes but geez the prices in this area are crazy expensive. Our tab with drinks and a tip was $47 But hey most of u will just say well welcome to California Food AAA++ Service B Price solid D +
