The Best Restaurants In Bentonville

"If you want to drink good cocktails, go straight to The Hive. We’re talking daiquiris made with bacon fat-washed rum and lillet blanc, or refreshing rosé sangria to glug by the pitcher. This restaurant is right off the lobby of Bentonville’s 21c hotel, a veritable art museum of suspended pink rococo mannequins, video installations, and paintings. There’s plenty of art in the bar, too, including a sculpture of giant wasps, honeycombs, vines, and skulls on the ceiling and walls (picture Annihilation meets Bee Movie). The food is decent—get the burger with pimento cheese and, if it’s on the menu, the roast chicken—but the cocktails are really the highlight of the experience. " - ryan bernsten

Stopped in for a quick lunch. It was not very busy. Enjoyed the interesting art. Food was high quality, but a limited selection. The pasta dish was fresh and homemade noodles. Really great french fries, but eat them when the are hot!

Do not arrive early as the young hostess will not seat you, despite table availability. The food was quite good. My guess was the service is designed to give you an experience rather than rapid service. We had an octagenerian legacy waitress. She was assisted by several others as part of her job was to greet and chat with others in the dining area. The food was very good.

We had a great time here. I’ve had it on my list for a while but hadn’t made it until now. I’ve heard it can be “Kinda pricy” but I felt like it was a good value for a nice restaurant. We started with the Hello Gorgeous and Black Dahlia drinks both of which were very enjoyable. We ordered the baked ricotta with dates as a shareable and it would definitely serve 4 as an appetizer. My wife and I then shared the Hog Chop which was really good! Loved the grits and cherry base for the amazing pork chop. Finished it off with the chocolate mouse dessert which was indulgent. We were surprised by a cotton candy serving with the bill. Really everything was indulgent and made for a really nice evening out.

Highly recommend! The level of service and quality of food totally blew me away. We went for dinner and the service was fantastic from the hostess, to our server, Reece, and the manager, Jamie. I highly recommend the Brussels salad and the sea bass. The experience and level of detail here is truly top notch. When you’re done with dinner you can wander the galleries in the lobby. Can’t wait to return and try the lunch menu! 10/10 recommend.

Our brunch was artistically presented and prepared to perfection. The service was friendly and competent. The atmosphere was comfortable, but nothing special. We very much enjoyed our unhurried and relaxing brunch. The pecan desert was amazing!

Google
Keri was the best server I think I have ever met. Me and my girlfriend were pleased with the excitement and joyfulness she brought to our table. She was able to answer any questions I had. The food was absolutely amazing and me nor my girlfriend can wait to come back again! A great experience overall.

Google
Delightful food, space, and service! For breakfast, I had their quinoa bowl with avocado, sweet potato, and poached eggs - fantastic! Also had the fruit smoothie. So many delicious options and really friendly quick service. Inside the 21c Museum hotel, such a great location and spot in Bentonville!

Google
Food was very tasty. Took a while to get the food but the wait was worth it. Prices were pretty high and the dining area felt a bit cramped. Enjoyed the close proximity to the museum.

Yelp
21C hotels have always been a favorite of mine. I love all of the artwork everywhere. Everything always feels really well thought out. We didn't have time to come here for dinner, which I regret, but we were able to stop in for drinks. The bourbon drinks that were recommended to us were so good, and had so much flavor and complexity to them. The service was phenomenal - by far the best we've seen in Bentonville. The suggestions, the attentiveness, everything was top-notch.

Yelp
Perfect spot for 6 of us to have a social dinner during a business planning weekend retreat. REALLY appreciated the vegan options on the menu and that everything was fresh and seasonal. (I think my favorite thing might have been the grits?) The green lentil hummus was better (IMO) than the popular pimento spread app. We loved the mocktails too! Be patient with the service -- it's a big restaurant with lots of walls (the better to hear each other with), and we were so busy talking, it never really bothered us.

Yelp
What a great dinner! The Hive is located in the 21c hotel. There is a bee on the outside of the building which was easier to see in the daytime but still a nice touch:) Our server Olivia suggested the Knowledge is Flower drink which was too delicious to have just one! We also had the paccheri which was an excellent recommendations as well. The manager Dan was also so nice and accommodating. Overall it was a great evening and definitely made me want to come back!
google avatar

Autumn M.

Yelp
Very cool vibe! Great for large groups. We had the chefs table by the kitchen. Our server was fantastic. The drink menu was extensive. It was difficult to choose! I was very happy to see a few vegetarian options. The chickpea panisse looked just as elevated as everyone else's dishes. It was a unique vegan option that I've never seen on a menu before. Definitely recommend this place for a night of fine dining!

Yelp
We only came to the hive for pre/post dinner cocktails and breakfast in the morning. The bar gets quite crowded in the evening but we were able to get a table on both Friday and Saturday night for after dinner drinks. Breakfast in the morning was buffet only but it was pretty well outfitted. They had yogurt, granola, berries, bagel, toast, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, grits and bacon. The eggs weren't very good but the homemade granola was pretty great and the coffee was from onyx.

Yelp
Ugh, The HIVE! I took a trip to Arkansas with some friends for a much needed spring vacation, and my request was obviously that we try a few restaurants while down there. Part of the 21C chain of restaurants, The Hive is set in an art gallery that's set in a hotel. The sculptures of bees and honeycombs on the walls add to the experience. Our waitress was friendly. We mentioned being from Minnesota, and she was also from the Midwest, so that's always a treat. The food was, as expected, phenomenal. A stand out was the chicken gizzards. I had gone in wanting to try them, and the friends I was with weren't very eager initially. They came out on skewers, smothered in different sauces, and we were all won over. Everything was locally sourced! If I ever find myself back in Bentonville, I will be back at the Hive.

Yelp
Mediocre burger. Very large and dense bun so I just ate the patty. The fries on the other hand were absolutely amazing crispy outside yet pillowy inside. Service was ok, but a little slow.

Yelp
We had a great time . The ambience and our server were amazing . The food was great and we had the best evening!

Yelp
The Hive was a great experience: yummy drinks, a unique/inclusive menu, and fabulous service. The menu had a variety of traditional, vegan, and vegetarian options. My group opted for the Hive Burger and the House-Made Paccheri. The paccheri was one of the tastiest pasta dishes I've ever had!

Sherry H.

Yelp
Food is good but very pricey for what you get. Paying for atmosphere. Service has always been good.
google avatar

Yelp
The server forgot our food order, and it took over an hour for a single burger. The excuse was how busy it was...at 3pm with a nearly empty lounge.

Yelp
Some of the best service I have had at a place that was not designed for anniversaries. The food was fantastic - I had a pork chop with sweet potato puree and roasted brussel sprouts. The drinks were great. I had an old fashioned but it was executed well. I really couldn't have asked for a better dinner for coworkers from around the country to meet up before an important meeting.

Yelp
We had a wonderful breakfast here on Saturday and a lovely brunch on Mother's Day! Breakfast on Saturday was perfect. Our bacon came out way too crispy, so we ordered another serving cooked medium and got it extra crispy again. The 3rd time was the charm. Mother's Day was a little slow on service. They didn't seem that busy @ 10:45 am, but it took 90 minutes or more to get through the three courses. We were hoping to be done by noon, but the food was really good both days. The Eggs Benedict was a little too runny for both of us, but overall this is a lovely restaurant with an excellent staff. Just a few hiccups from the kitchen.

Yelp
High end dining, very nice. Great cocktail program & really delicious hog chop. I would definitely make a point to try this stellar place.
google avatar

Abena R.

Yelp
I love the ambience here but definitely recommend having a reservation if you want to eat at the restaurant to have better sitting if you don't prefer the lounge chairs. They have outdoor sitting as well which is first come first serve basis. We got a seat quite quickly but it looked like they were very busy and it took a while to get serviced. Once we ordered the food it took about an hour to get the meals and it took us asking about it and then telling us the kitchen is slammed. This is understandable but needed to be communicated before we asked. We ordered steak and chicken. I love how the chicken was perfectly made and the squash was the win! The food was delicious and the manager apologized for the lateness. Parking is available on the streets and in the garage area. Close to the BENTONVILLE square which is a plus. I would recommend this place to anyone.

Yelp
This place is fun! I wasn't sure what to expect . The atmosphere is warm and inviting yet also a bit whimsical with the giant honeycombs and bees. Our service was good. My husband ordered the Sea Bass and it was to die for. I ordered the muchroom pasta and it was just okay. We ordered the chicken liver pate with onion relish, it was ridiculously good. Would definitely recommend this place.

Yelp
Hip spot in Bentonville. Had dinner here with my family while in town for a football game per my wife's recommendation. We arrived early so we hung out in the lounge for a while. Great bar and area to congregate. Awesome beer, wine, and spirits selection as well. Service and food were outstanding. The Chicken Liver Moose stands out as an appetizer; it was unique and delicious. I highly recommend The Hive for dinner and drinks!

Yelp
Happened to stumble upon this restaurant while on a work trip. My coworker and I decided to eat here and it did not disappoint. It's a cool spot located inside a museum/hotel, which has cool artwork up just outside the restaurant. Our server was super knowledgeable and friendly, and recommended a bunch of things on the menu. I decided to go with the pork chop, which was absolutely delicious and really enjoyed that their philosophy is farm to table. can't wait for my next work trip so I can try new things on the menu!

Yelp
Overall score 3.4 out of five Staff is very friendly Ambience is very nice. Location is great Had the breakfast sandwich and the hive breakfast. Personally, the food was OK. I would not brag about it but gets the job done. Breakfast sandwich is very bland but they use high end ingredients.

Yelp
If you're looking for a treat, The Hive has you covered. Stopped here for a Friday night dinner with my sisters. Really enjoyed the cocktails and my starter which was a sous-vide egg. Pace yourself and enjoy your meal, as well as the green penguins all around you. :-)

Yelp
We had both dinner and brunch/breakfast at The Hive. For dinner our waiter was Andrew, and he does a really great job. He worked with me and the chef to make sure my order was in line with my allergy, to the point they made a special dish to accommodate me. He was very pleasant and attentive. For breakfast we had the blueberry cinnamon rolls and the pancakes. The cinnamon rolls are to die for! I wish I could have them shipped to me. I am not even a big blueberry fan but these are a must have.

Yelp
Staying at the hotel, we had both breakfast and a dinner. Breakfast was excellent - local sausage, grits, eggs fresh and yellow, biscuit. Service was excellent. Room quiet and amenable. Dinner we share a salad and pasta, again just right. Bar scene next door looked good. Highly recomment.

Yelp
I loved my experience and the Hive! I sat at the bar and all the bartenders were friendly and helpful. They made recommendations on the menu and told me places to try in town. My favorite thing here was the ambiance! It felt fancy for Bentonville and had a nice elegant touch. The bees around were funny too. The first bourbon cocktail I tried was similar to a manhattan and was really good. I was slightly disappointed in the food given what I heard, but it was still good. Caesar salad was good, but small for the price. Especially compared to preachers son it was like half the size. I got the famous Hog Chop for my entree and it was a very big portion which I liked and had great flavor. Though the piece of meat had a lot of fat on it that I was not a fan of. For dessert, I had a cappuccino and it was delish! Ambiance/ Service - 9 Drinks - 8 Food 7.5
google avatar

Curtis J.

Yelp
Excellent service and the food was delicious. For dinner we had chicken liver mousse, grilled chicken gizzards and the crispy pork belly. This was plenty for the two of us.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing Sunday brunch! Great service and funky ambiance. They never moved the penguin to our table though- but cute touch. We had the burger; Benedict, apples & berries, bacon.. and bevvies! Drinks were on point. Mangolorian was a great balanced drink!

Tim H.

Yelp
Let me start with the service was fantastic. At first, we were seated in a very undesirable table near extremely large and loud party. After a couple of requests, we were accommodated in a different spot in the restaurant. Our waiter was very attentive, friendly and took care of all of our needs promptly. The four of us had two pork chops and two hamburgers. Nobody ate the hamburger buns. They were very dense not light or fluffy. The french fries were very good. One of the pork chops was great. The other was probably 60% fat and should not have been served. The sweet potato purée and the brussels sprouts were excellent. The reason I gave three stars is because of the pork chop and the fact that the price for the food was Expensive. $22 for a hamburger that consisted of mostly just good fries seems a bit much. And $36 for a pork chop that when I finished the meal had more fat on my plate then what i consumed in the meal just didn't feel like a very good deal. We shared a 50 bottle of wine and had nothing else. Our bill was 227.00 bucks. I was disappointed.

Yelp
Had dinner here last night with a group of 10. Food was fantastic. I imagine between the group we hit on all the menu items and everyone was pleased with their choices. Standout items: baked ricotta appetizer, hog cutlet entree and chocolate tart dessert. And as an added bonus the green apple cotton candy! The waiter Britton was super knowledgeable about the history of the restaurant and all the menu options. We shared 3 of the 4 appetizers on the menu; American Cheese Plate, hummus and the aforementioned baked ricotta. We also shared 3 of the desserts; lemon cheesecake, pecan pie, and aforementioned dark chocolate tart. The restaurant is part of the 21C museum hotel and you can wander around the museum as well. Will definitely make this one of my go to restaurants whenever in town.

Yelp
Everything is very good here. Nice atmosphere, terrific service and clean environment. It should rate at 4.5 stars because it is very good, but not quite killin' it for the fine dining vibe.
google avatar

Gregg L.

Yelp
Recently brought my team here for a celebratory meal and really enjoyed the experience. Definitely make a reservation for dinner as this place is popular. Our group of 5 was asked to wait a few minutes for our table to be ready, which actually worked out because there is some incredible modern art to look at in the lobby outside the restaurant as you're waiting. The food here wasn't revolutionary, but the flavor profiles were spot on and the ingredients are definitely quality. We wanted to eat family style and chef was nice enough to plate everything together on a beautiful serving dish so we could all taste and share. He threw an extra entree in which was a nice touch as well. The service was a bit slow, but still friendly and mostly attentive. This is a great place to eat when you're in the area but it wasn't perfect. I'd eat here if invited no questions asked, not sure if I need to rush back though.

Yelp
The Hive is located inside the 21c Museum Hotel and consistently popped up when looking for places to eat in Bentonville. I took the internet's recommendation and made dinner reservations for my visit to the town. The decor was very literal with the "hive" theme including giant sculptures of bumble bees around the honeycombs, but luckily the space is big enough for these bees not to disrupt our meal. The service was friendly and attentive and the food here is excellent as the picky eater in our group called their hog chop the best chop they've ever had. I also ordered the hog chop as my entree and can attest to that as the hog chop was perfectly cooked -- tender and juicy - with a gentle glaze on top and surrounded by a bed of spring peas and bacon.
google avatar

Miranda R.

Yelp
While waiting at the host stand for 5 minutes we made eye contact with 3 employees working for the restaurant and received no acknowledgment. They only had 2 tables being waited on in the entire place. After asking a bartender if we seat ourselves and getting "I don't know" as the reply, we waited an additional 5 minutes to be seated and decided to leave. We were really looking forward to trying the food.
google avatar

Lexi M.

Yelp
This place has it all! Great service, amazing ambiance and fantastic food. We started with the pimento cheese and hummus and both were amazing appetizers. The pimento cheese was so delicious I couldn't eaten it with a spoon. I ordered the BMF chicken for my meal and it was good, but I kept seeing dessert being ordered and was quickly fishing to get to dessert. We ordered the chocolate mousse and the strawberry cake special. Now talk about flavor!! I can't wait to come back here to try something different.
google avatar

Yelp
WOW. You would not think a hotel restaurant would rank among 5 stars, but it was absolutely incredible. Bentonville has exceptional chefs, and some of them are right here at the Hive. Every single thing we ordered was top notch delicious. Service was also great! And can we talk about how reasonable the prices are? We went for brunch, and started with the yogurt with granola. It was topped with the freshest local berries I've ever seen (and had the pleasure of eating). Better than fruit in California. And the yogurt was delicious, along with the granola. I wish I could eat this dish every day. In hindsight, it was really nice of me to share it with my husband. ;) Then we ordered the power grain bowl and the frittata, along with a side of war eagle grits and bacon. The healthy grain bowl was outstanding. Zucchini was fresh, chickpeas tasted awesome, and the sauce. The sauce...was everything about this dish. Quinoa was a nice addition, and I added an egg for a little extra. Just delicious. We also ordered a couple of mocktail drinks that were also yummy. The frittata was amazing. I hate peppers, but the ones in this dish were delicious. And the war eagle grits. I'm not someone who seeks out grits, but wow. Couldn't stop eating these. Bacon is bacon, so it's always good. I can't recommend this place enough. I don't care what else you eat in this area, this place is amazing. Best restaurant of our trip.

Melissa B.

Yelp
Dinner was ok nothing special. Having birthday celebration for my son and out of town family and we were treated poorly when "local " celebs came in. Service ruined the whole night.

Yelp
My husband and I just had an incredible meal at the Hive. The atmosphere is beautifully done and very relaxing. The service was impeccable, from the hostess, to the bar, to the dining room, where Paula was our server. We started with cocktails. I had the Garden , a delicious concoction of vodka, maraschino liqueur and berries, while my husband enjoyed the Warm and classy, made from Bourbon and mulled wine, served warm, also amazing. Paula was most helpful navigating us thru the menu. I had glanced over the chef's fixed menu, which sounded inviting, but the ragu on the homemade gnocchi was made with brisket. Paula took it upon herself to ask the chef if he would be willing to make a sauce for the gnocchi for me that was vegetarian for me, and unbelievably, he agreed! The result was an excellent blend of broccolini, butternut squash and mushrooms. The developed flavor of a sauce he made on the fly was nothing short of amazing. Paula was also very knowledgeable about the area and the philanthropy of the Walton family. My husband, incidentally, also really enjoyed his Hog Chop. We had such a pleasurable experience, and would most definitely recommend the Hive to anyone.

Yelp
Good salad-as-meal, exuberant decor, fun adjacent art installations. Service fine. Be careful not to park at the government building nearby -- they will tow.

Yelp
Part of the 21C museum and hotel and in downtown Bentonville, this is an excellent go to for casual, but elegant dining. The chef is well known and talented, oftentimes advancing in the James Beard competition. The menu is simple, but upscale. Complex flavors. A well rounded list of cocktails. There are two groups of cocktails: "refreshing" and "bold." I had the ribeye, which was cooked perfectly, accompanied by crispy, charred potatoes and asparagus. I also had a cool, refreshing pea soup and some soft, buttery cornbread. I had three different cocktails and all were delicious. You can take your cocktails to go from your table or the bar to peruse the attached art museum. The museum itself is a work of art, a literal bee "hive." My server, Rhonda, was amazing. Fast, fun, attentive. She was so cool! The menu also has fish, pasta, salads, chicken, chops, and more. Fantastic dining experience.
google avatar

Amanda R.

Yelp
The hive was my favorite meal during our whole trip to Bentonville. From start to finish, it was fantastic. We ordered cocktails, both of which were delish. We shared the pimento cheese, which was great. I got the Sunday supper- a salad, fried chicken, grits, and greens, and an apple cake. My husband got the burger and fries. The fried chicken and the burger were both spectacular. Best things we ate, all trip. Our service was great and I enjoyed all the art in the hotel. I would definitely recommend a stop at the hive when in Bentonville

Monique S.

Yelp
The chicken liver mousse was fantastic! The daiquiri was one of the best cocktails I've had a restaurant. It was complex and absolutely delicious! The wait staff were so kind to my children and the penguin at the table was a fun touch.
google avatar

Wendy C.

Yelp
Cute atmosphere. Sadly, the food is absolutely horrible. The breakfast items were extremely salty. The brunch options were not satisfactory and neither were the drinks. Save yourself the trouble and skip this place unless they change their cooks.

Bonnie P.

Yelp
My Thanksgiving dinner was delightful in all way! The meal was excellent and all of the waitstaff were fun. My "date" a bright green penguin made it even better!
google avatar

Abby B.

Yelp
I went to The Hive for a work dinner. Service was excellent! We tried 4 of the appetizers and a few of the meals. Everything tasted great! I'm surprised to say that the crispy chicken livers were my favorite app. They were tender and flavorful and came with 2 house made sauces for dipping. The baked ricotta while still good, was my least favorite of the appetizers we tried. I also really enjoyed the Campanelle pasta!

Chris F.

Yelp
Great dinner spot. Unique theme. A tad on the pricey side, but we knew that going in. Entree's on the small(ish) side, but fancy and well-presented. Sides a bigger serving than expected. Drinks on the higher side. Wyatt was a rock star.
google avatar

Natty P.

Yelp
Great service. Great cocktail. But the food portions are for very tiny appetites. And just OK food for lots of $$$$. Cotton candy at the end was a fun surprise. Cool art to look at on the way to bathroom and hotel lobby. Probably won't go back tho. It just didn't do much for me.

Yelp
The best place I visited since I've been in Arkansas. we had a reservation for six as we were coming here for a work dinner. We were seated right away in a quiet area near the kitchen. We were thinking that we may get private dining but I guess our party wasn't large enough. The one thing I realized is that they have these cute green penguins all over the restaurant that sit with you when you're a party of two. The ambiance inside the restaurant is really nice. It's quiet and nicely decorated. we ordered a whole bunch of appetizers to share at the table one of which was the charcuterie board another was the chicken liver. both were incredibly delicious I haven't had chicken liver in years and I have to say it tasted like a light creamy mousse. for my main I got the bed of cod on top of the chickpeas I found the portion to be perfect it was nice and small and not American sized. The cod was cooked delicately and the chickpeas had a great texture to them. All in all experience is great the one thing I love is that a check came with some free cotton candy of all the restaurants I've been to during my time in Northwest Arkansas my coworkers all commented that this was the best steak that they had.
google avatar

Debra K.

Yelp
Very limited BUT delicious menu. I had the pasta (Campanelle with corn, basil and soy beans). It was light and fresh and came with a spoon so you could get all of the light broth. I almost ordered the half order but glad I didn't. For a cocktail, I ordered Bees and Honey. They had a special for the night, a pre-fixed meal of a salad, BMF chicken (buttermilk fried, I had to ask), and berry custard pie. The pie was delicious (I had a bite) and the chicken looked fried to perfection. The diner who ordered the pork chop declared it was the best meal of the entire trip. For an appetizer we had the pimento cheese. It was good, but nothing really special. I would eat here again! We sat outside and it was lovely watching all the families walking to the park in the next block. We received a large puff of green apple cotton candy for dessert.

Yelp
This is a spot we go to 1-2x a year due to price but it's pretty cool. Love the location and honey comb / bees everywhere.
google avatar

Arina L.

Yelp
Really enjoyed my entree! The pork chop was cooked to perfection! The sauce and nectarines were a nice touch to this dish. Their cocktails are also really good! Must try!

Yelp
We loved the Ambiance, the waiter was very attentive and we ordered the Berkshire Hog Chop with the Farmer's salad! I can't say enough about everything. So tasty and different. Unlike any other place we've dined. My compliments to the chief and all involved!
