While primarily celebrated for its craft beer menu, Hops Spot has quietly built a following for its creative BBQ-inspired dishes, including smoked brisket sandwiches and house-made sauces. Recommended by The Post-Standard and local food critics, this downtown spot offers a modern twist on barbecue, blending local ingredients with classic smoking techniques. The urban, relaxed setting makes it a unique stop for both beer and barbecue lovers.

Awesome, that is the only way I can describe my experience at this nice little restaurant. I ordered off their menu and received more than I expected. The burger was cooked just like I liked it medium mooooo. When I have a chance to visit Syracuse again, my first stop is to the Hops Spot, and when asked, I'll tell everyone about this place. Also, don't get me started on the beer list. I haven't seen a selection like this since my time spent in Germany.

We stopped in for late afternoon drinks on Christmas Eve. We passed so many establishments that were closed we were happy to find an open door with many patrons inside! They are sporting a vast selection of Beers, plus full bar. We enjoyed a variety amongst the four of us between a beer, rose wine for me, martini, and whiskey sours. Was a nice place chat and catch up pre dinner, reminiscent of earlier years at the former PJ Dorsey’s. Friendly enough service with a touch of rye. We had just visited Clayton recently, I’ve included a couple of snap shots of Hop Spot currently closed for season. Someone is peeking out the third story! Love to visit the Clayton location in season, great architecture!

Foods awesome. Nice place. Tons of draft beer options. Had the colonel mustard fries. They were bomb. Can't wait to come back and try something else

Fun place with an awesome beer and cider list! Great burgers for any palate and poutine! Fun, different and a cool atmosphere. Had the Alamo poutine. Delicious!

Five stars mainly because I was finally able to sample (what had been) the elusive Heady Topper! The beer did not disappoint and the restaurant was not bad either. Had a good vibe with a solid beer selection.

We stopped here during a long 9 hr drive from CT to ON. We needed a place to grab lunch and let the kids (2 and 4 yo) stretch their legs. This was the perfect spot: amazing beer selection, very good food that came out relatively quickly, and a cozy play area for the kids including books, coloring activities, and a slide. Might be stopping here again on the drive back home. This is a tiny thing, but having the server be proactively attentive to a family with 2 kids and bring out extra cups and plates so you can split their food before they inevitably start fighting over it, is such a nice touch.

The Hops Spot provided us with a perfect meal! It's a nice space with a bar front and center and plenty of seating all around the bar and the entire restaurant. Our server was kind and attentive, with service being quick and easy. I ordered the Black Cherry Cider and it was wonderful. They have a wide variety of alcohol to choose from so you'll easily find something to your liking. Our food really was perfection, the Health Nut Salad with Chicken was fresh and flavorful. The Tex Mex Burger was a perfect medium rare with a combination of flavors and toppings that pleased my palate aplenty. The fries were well seasoned and there was no evidence left of any food ever being on our plates. We can't wait to go back and try so much more as the menu has so much to offer. I also noticed they offer a vegan menu and offer substitutions as well for anyone not looking to eat meat. Always love to see that availability and adaptability. Highly recommend. Enjoy!!

$38 will get you two pretzel sticks and 5 mini pierogies. Not worth the cost at all, as you can see, all the food fit on one small salad plate. The atmosphere is nice, but the food is not worth the price and there is no mention of portion sizes when you order online. The beer cheese is lumpy and curdled, and the beer mustard I paid $1.50 is just normal yellow mustard. The bacon jam that comes with the pierogies had chunks of white, cold fat.
