Unassuming Latin American eatery serving up seafood, steak & rotisserie chicken in a cozy setup.
"With a long menu of Peruvian dishes, like lomo saltado or an avocado stuffed with shrimp and quinoa, you might scoff at the idea of ordering rotisserie chicken. But that’s exactly what you should do at The Inkan. The juicy, crispy bird is their specialty, and should be part of your order, along with pisco sours and any of the various types of ceviche." - matt tervooren
"The Inkan serves big portions of Latin American food in two separate spaces on the same street corner in LIC: a small dining room and a separate bar area with TVs. There are a few different influences on the menu, but you’ll find a lot of Peruvian dishes, including plenty of seafood, ceviche, and their specialties—crispy rotisserie chicken and tender spare ribs. If you want to keep dinner under $15, get a quarter chicken and some plantains or rice. Top it off with a solid pisco sour, best enjoyed during nice weather in the restaurant’s enclosed backyard." - neha talreja, willa moore, carlo mantuano
"Research suggests that wine is good for you. And this Peruvian spot in LIC is giving away a bottle of wine with any $80 purchase right now. They have a special $25 combo that comes with a whole chicken, a side of rice and beans, and a big bottle of soda. So if you get that with some mixed seafood ceviche and a salad, you’d actually be making a responsible decision for your health." - Hannah Albertine, Nikko Duren
"This Peruvian restaurant is giving a free bottle of wine with any $80 purchase, and they also have a special $25 combo that comes with a whole chicken, a side of rice and beans, and a big bottle of soda. You can order takeout or delivery through their website." - Hannah Albertine, Nikko Duren, Bryan Kim, Arden Shore, Matt Tervooren
"The Inkan serves big portions of Latin American food in two separate spaces on the same street corner - a small dining room and a separate bar area with TVs. Peruvian dishes occupy a large portion of the menu, so expect plenty of seafood and ceviche, but plan to direct your attention on the rotisserie chicken, their specialty. We'd recommend making a meal of the half chicken ($7.50) and some plantains. This is also one of the few spots in the city where you can get a solid pisco sour, best enjoyed during nice weather in the restaurant’s enclosed backyard." - Matt Tervooren
