Highlights

Located in an intimate, airy space in The District at Green Valley Ranch, The Local proves that you don't have to go to the Las Vegas Strip for an excellent glass of wine. We stayed close to home and created the perfect place to share a bottle of wine and the company of friends after work or on a warm Saturday afternoon.

"The Local has debuted at The District at Green Valley Ranch, offering a relaxing atmosphere with a menu of salads, bruschetta dishes, panini, and charcuterie boards. The venue features a rising front window that opens to Village Walk Drive and offers happy hour deals during the week. The menu includes sparkling wines, cocktails, wine flights, panini with kettle chips, salads, bruschetta, and charcuterie boards, including the 'Local' board with meats, cheeses, vegetables, and sauces." - Bradley Martin

"The Local, by co-owners Chris Connors and Li Hsun Sun and backed by Randy Maher and Amy Maher, aims to offer a wine bar with delicious food, great energy and a homey atmosphere. Planned to serve from lunch until evening, it will feature a weekday happy hour, wine tastings, and a menu of salads, bruschetta dishes, paninis, and charcuterie boards. Among the cocktails are a white peach cosmopolitan, an old fashioned, and the 'District Dirty' with Tahoe Blue Vodka." - Susan Stapleton

Google
Pros: EXTENSIVE wine list. The Old Fashioned was made well. Cons: Needs more food on the menu, more variety of snacks. More to offer during happy hour besides just one house red, white, draft beer, and a dirty martini. Maybe do a rotating happy hour cocktail — each day a different cocktail. And add some snacks for happy hour too. The caprese salad is beautiful and tasty, but a little heavy-handed with the balsamic and olive oil. A little goes a long way. No reason to be wasteful and drench the cheese, tomatoes, and basil with sauce. Service was fine, though my server never did offer water. I ordered a cocktail but water should be standard. Cute spot for a date or a small group of friends.

Google
Cozy ,elegant . I hesitate to say wine bar. (There is a very nice wine selection) Because of the excellent cocktails. Killer bourbon selection. Tequila's . Mezcal and craft beer offerings. The bar is well curated. Excellent staff. Friendly and engaging. Highly recommend

Google
Attention wine enthusiast and lovers of an occasional glass of Vino. I came across this spot in Green Valley, (The District). It offers an array of great tasting wines and cocktails. I’d recommend the Malbec and the Watermelon Foam Margarita. They both tasted great and were priced accordingly. Outdoor seating is available, as well as, a bar type counter design with an open concept allowing customers to experience an outdoor atmosphere without being outside. This is a nice chill spot which, will undoubtedly be a hot spot as summer approaches.

Google
Nice little spot in The District, which is a great stop for a glass of wine and a cheese board. Food options are limited and tend to be light. The place itself is small and intimate. It can get crowded and noisy at certain times as well. We’ve come here several times and have always had a nice time and drank some good wine and cocktails.

Google
Cute local spot in The District, great cocktails, wine & charcuterie boards! Went with a group of friends and had a great time. Inside is a little small and was busy so we had to sit outside but they put a little heater by us so it wasn't too bad. Will definitely come back again, especially when they have their deals.

Google
First time here! Great location at The District! Small, quaint, great service and yummy food and drinks! We ordered the bites (as shown in photos)! This spot is has a comfortable feel to it and is decorated beautifully! We loved all the bites! We ordered all 4 except the shrimp. Each was divine!

Google
Raphael was so wonderful and a great host. He explained each wine for our flight and the cheese board and bacon wrapped dates were delicious!!! Thank you for such an amazing time.

Google
Great experience overall! Great selection of wine by the glass. Fun food options with a really clean, fun, fresh vibe. If you’re looking for the one on one sommelier like description experience this may not be the place. But servers were kind and helpful and friendly. I’d definitely go back.

Yelp
My friend originally told me about the local and told me I had to try it! Ever since then we go back probably once a month or so, if not more! The service here is impeccable the owners are so kind and friendly. The staff is amazing. You can't go wrong with the charcuterie, boards, and drinks here. There's a wide variety of meats and cheeses. You can choose from as well as an extravagant list of wines to try. This is definitely one place. I would say that has something for everybody! The ambience and here is very cute and trendy, Opportunities for photo walls with your girlfriends if you would like. Also some bar seating. I would say it is an intimate facility. They do wine tastings once a month where they offer sampling of wines from different states and countries, as well as a small appetizer, entrée, and dessert. A very fun experience if you have not, tried it yet! If you're looking for a new place to try with your girlfriends I highly recommend the local!

Yelp
God I love this wine bar. I honestly don't know why I don't come here more often. I'm going to need to start. Was walking through The District with my husband and we ran into some friends sitting at The Local having an afternoon drink. We decided to join them because the weather was PERFECT for patio drinking. Sat right down and ordered myself a glass of white wine. My husband got himself a beer. We enjoyed hanging out with our friends and watching people walk past. It's definitely a smaller bar, so there's not a ton of seating, however they do have a little bit of extended seating out in The District walking area. Since it was the afternoon, it wasn't crazy busy so we were able to just sit down and join our friends. After a while, our server came over and asked if we just wanted to do a bottle of wine since three of us were drinking the same thing anyway. The presentation of the bottle of wine was really nice, too. They do have some food, like cheese and meat boards and paninis. All the food is relatively good, but really, this place is more about the drinks. Definitely one of the cutest spots to grab a drink with friends, and I'll definitely need to come back here more often to support The Local!

Yelp
Went with a friend to check it out during their happy hour on a Friday and the service was kind of slow. They were kinda busy but was hoping for quicker service. They didn't have a lot of staff but it is a small restaurant. Ordered the Italian panini with chips and had white wine. They both were good. Love their 'wine not' sign inside that's perfect for pics!

Arianna H.

Yelp
I was excited to bring my book club to the local for them to try because I'd been here before and it was a vibe. Today, I brought 10 people here and we weren't served properly, hardly and then a big issue to check out. Idk if the 2 left to be in charge of this establishment were just plain rude or racists but I won't ever go here or recommend this place to anyone again. I just want to state this place was NOT busy to be treated improperly. Work on service.

Mackenzie P.

Yelp
I can't say enough good things about this place! The staff is so attentive and amazing. Specifically Lacey, she was so sweet and knowledgeable when it came to telling us about the different wines they have. I can't wait to come back and have a girls night here. The music was also on point!

Heather N.

Yelp
We popped in here one night for a drink recently and I'm glad we did! The local isn't too big on the inside but we were lucky enough to find a spot at the bar. We were served really quickly and I loved how festive the restaurant was for Christmas along with their seasonal drink menu. We took advantage of that and ordered a Santa Clausmopolitan and a Peppermintini. The clausmopolitan was deeeelicious! It was not overly sweet or sour and I really enjoyed it! The cranberries on top made it look pretty too! My husband had the peppermint drink which was really minty and not for me, but he was enjoyed it! Definitely a great place to stop into for a few drinks or small eats!!

Michelle M.

Yelp
Service was a little slow-- I think our server forgot about us after we first sat down. But once we ordered our drinks, service improved and we got our drinks and food quickly. We came for happy hour and did a glass of prosecco and the Italian panini. The panini was amazing. The bar was so cute and I loved the decor including the neon "wine not?" sign and the zinfandel vine.

Steven O.

Yelp
It's always a treat, for yourself, to stop in @thelocal because the staff is always friendly and task oriented. The Wine list is always top notch! And the small space is Big on experience. With a full bar you can get a specialty cocktail or a premium Whiskey ad well.

Jessielee J.

Yelp
The service here is amazing! We loved our bartender Benjamin!!! This is a great little local gem that has great happy hour, half off bottles and fantastic staff. We will definitely be back to try the snacks and other cocktails on the menu. Thank you again Benjamin for making our trip in memorable.

Jeremy C.

Yelp
This is a cute place that was very busy when we stopped in for happy hour. The waitress was nice, but all alone and super busy; the bartender was slow and didn't pay any attention to us. We had to wait a long time at the bar before we flagged down the waitress to take our simple order. The meat and cheese tray was ridiculously overpriced; it felt like a ripoff as soon as it arrived--small amounts of meat and cheese, cheap toast, canned pickles, it wasn't good. The beers are from local breweries and were fine, the martini was poured from a mix...Overall, the place has a nice vibe and decent happy hour drink prices, but the service was slow and I wouldn't recommend ordering food.

Christine G. P.

Yelp
Both John and Lauren are the quintessential BEST Bartenders on planet Earth! They are personable, funny, professional, attentive, and caring. We cannot wait to come back here. We highly recommend them! Come to this place and we assure you that you're going to have a great time!!! We also want to underscore that they go out of their way to make all of the customers happy!! We sincerely appreciate their hard work and efforts. We absolutely love them!!!

Rose F.

Yelp
STILL one of our favorite places!...We have yet to have a bad experience. Ben is amazing and personable...a certified sommelier who always gives great recommendations. Food, drinks, service, and atmosphere all on point!...See you soon! ;)

Ameena A.

Yelp
The Local is such a cute new vibe at the District! I feel like this is a gre spot to stop when you're shopping for a snack or drink - I also love the indoor/outdoor feel. Our drinks were absolutely delicious! The only reason I have a 3/5 is because our service was pretty slow. We had to ask a few times for various things (e.g., water, our drinks, the check, etc.). I noticed this was mentioned quite a few times across other reviews, so perhaps might be a theme.

Scott A.

Yelp
intimate and chill wine bar with great charcuterie, a solid menu emphasizing quality without spreading itself too thin, and a outstanding spectrum of drinks from budget friendly to hard to find liquors. Lacy and John are amazing advocates and quite knowledgeable. Trust their recommendations!

Lesli B.

Yelp
We had a great time with John!!! Good service, great booze knowledge and wonderful cocktails!! Want something unique?...just ask John!!

Sara B.

Yelp
I've been to the Local twice so far and it's been great every time! Their menu is pretty small but everything I've tried so far has been delicious! My favorite part is that they play 90s and 2000s music so they definitely know how to attract a millennial to their establishment!

Keni Z.

Yelp
Service was okay, the bartender wasn't very knowledgeable as far as wines go. But still did his best to assist. The cocktail was very good, seems to be popular since a lot of people were getting the same. I have never been into traditional bar settings, so being so close to everyone at the bar and overhearing conversations isn't something I prefer. But it was worst trying

Paula L.

Yelp
Such a hidden gem at The District. The establishment is quite small, but it really added to the ambiance for me. There were two bartenders who were attentive and very friendly. The drinks were unique and very tasty. I definitely recommend the White Peach mimosa. The Cherry Martini (in the picture) was so original and beautiful. I really enjoyed my first visit there, but it will definitely not be my last.

Jamie Q.

Yelp
I have visited this location several times and although I've never been overly impressed I was appalled on my last visit. The owner was clearly focused on his instagram posts rather than the customers. Which I could get past that and his cockiness normally. However, taking a phone call about his upcoming hospital procedure and the co pays he owed while behind the bar directly in front of us was extremely unprofessional. Take it in the back please! He was snappy with a delivery driver. Boastful and not very personable, but enduring his personal conversation put me off completely. Also you're supposed to be a classy wine bar, pull you pants up so I don't have to see your underwear while your back is to me the entire time. Too many places in green valley/district to choose from, I think I'm done giving this place a chance.

Benjamin S.

Yelp
Best wine bar in town. Small space with big personality! Great place to find a new wine or try a memorable craft cocktail while grabbing a small bite to eat.

Janelle L.

Yelp
Came in to waste some time during my friends Dr appointment. OMG what a jewel and fantastic find. John, the bartender, was an absolute gem. He makes the best designer cocktails. The Cherry Martini, Devine. A strawberry concoction that's indescribable. Make sure to check out the bistro style food menu. My new Go To.

Lisa K.

Yelp
Absolutely love The Local. It's truly the Vegas local's bar. Delicious cocktails. Friendly bartenders. Tasty snacks. If you're looking for Bud Light and wings kind of bar, this is not the place for you. There's a place across the street for that.

Richard R.

Yelp
The local is a nice comfortable wine bar at the District, Green Valley Ranch. The District is a nice area for the shopping, restaurants or just a evening strole. The Local is a bit of a smaller place which makes for a warm atmosphere. I am not a wine drinker but found a great selection of spirits and beers. Burbon is one of my preferred beverages Blantons all the way to RIP Van Winkle were ready to go. They had the large craft ice which was nice for 102' evening. Shout out to the staff, both the bar tender and server were super friendly and fun. We did not get to sample any of the food as this was our post dinner evening cap. I'm certain it will keep par with the high standards we observed. Look forward to stopping here again.

Lee E.

Yelp
Best drinks, best service! John (with a silent J ) was amazing and made the best cocktails

Janeth A.

Yelp
The Local is the cutest little wine bar in a great location. It's at The District at GVR, so all around there's cute cozy vibes. It's a small place, so it gets packed quickly. My friend and I went on a Saturday night --the service was a bit on the inattentive side but it was also extremely busy. My friend ordered a strawberry fields cocktail --adorable and refreshing! I had the bee's knees cocktail & a California red blend. Both were super yummy! I can't wait to go to this place again and try more of their cocktails. They all sound amazing!

Becky K.

Yelp
Wine bar located in the heart of the District. The inside is small and was full, but we sat on the covered patio which was pleasant even during the summer. There are several variations of wine flights for tasting. There are even charcuterie boards and other food items. Great for a date night!

Billy L.

Yelp
This is a cute, trendy bar. I went with some friends on a Saturday. Unfortunately, the availability of seatings is first come, first serve. They had outside seating, but their heater wasn't working. We weren't able to use their outside seating because it was cold outside. We went during January, and the temp outside was in the 40s. They have limited seating inside and outside. A lot of people hang out here. They have big tables that can accommodate groups, but you have to come in early. Their prices are kinna on the high end likely because they are located in the District. Their outside wall to the left of the entrance door is glass, and you can see through inside the bar. During summer, this glass wall retract identical to a garage door and provides more seating.

T H.

Yelp
We enjoyed the casual small atmosphere. We ordered a selection of all the food items and were pleased with everything.

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. The wine is delicious. The charcuterie boards are amazing as well. The bartenders are super friendly. I have not had one bad experience at this place. East parking as well.

Laura M.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in today and really enjoyed it. Great wine and charcuterie board. Service was top notch! Definitely will be back!

Lydia C.

Yelp
We stopped by in here for a quick drink before dinner. It was decorated very cute for the holidays. The staff was nice and friendly. The cocktails were crafted with care. Everyone there seemed to be having a good time. We will have to come back for the wine tasting.

Skylar S.

Yelp
John the bartender is the bomb.com. Definitely want to stop by here for a date and some wine. Nice vibes and friendly people. 10 out of 10. Would smash.

Michael H.

Yelp
Love this place! John and Ben are the best bartenders around! Love the wine selections

Mikaela C.

Yelp
I've been to The Local 3 times now and have enjoyed each visit. The space itself is comfortable with a hip atmosphere, although it is small and finding a seat during busier hours can be difficult. I love that they offer wine flights in addition to their sizable selection of wine by the glass/bottle, cocktails, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages. They have a decent Happy Hour with $6 glasses of house wine & 25% off bottles, but aside from Happy Hour I do think they're prices are a little high considering they're so far from The Strip. Something that keeps me from going often. Overall though, I like the vibe, the selections they offer and their friendly staff. It's a fun place to go on occasion.

Alycia C.

Yelp
This is a great cocktail bar if you want to try something new or just get your usual! They have a good happy hour and seasonal drinks as well.

La Juania M.

Yelp
This place will be my new spot I take visitors. Likewise, it will be my new place to go chill. This place is very nice and inviting. I do agree with other reviews that mentions this place a good pre-dinner spot. They do have a good variety of wines and great speciality drinks. Try the old fashion... I usually don't like them but this one is on point. The atmosphere is really laid back and the bartender skills is impressive.

Nicole G.

Yelp
Service was disappointing. Came here with friends to enjoy one of the delicious cocktails prior to our dinner reservation. The cocktail was great. The service was mediocre. Our server was not friendly, seemed to hate his job. Never checked on us or anyone really. The table next to us was also very dissatisfied.

Kristi W.

Yelp
LOUD! This place needs some insulation in the walls! Went here to chat with a friend. We sat in the outside courtyard, not by the bar. There is only 1 restroom in here, so get in line before you have to go. It seemed cute, trendy. They offer wine tasting nights for $60.00. We ordered the cheese board, it was stingy to say the least for the price. It was like a pad of bleu cheese, a smear of brie, a few olives and pickles and a a few pieces of toasted bread with a dish of fig preserves. Can't say I'll be back here again because it wasn't worth the money we spent.

Sandy S.

Yelp
This place was perfect for a Saturday last minute girls night . We went to a restaurant across the street however it was crowded and we decided to walk across to this place I have seen many times while bringing my kids to the splash pad finally got the chance . The guy who might have been the owner had us seated right away place has great ambiance good music and great fast service . First up the strawberry fields it's the sweetest thing on the menu soooo good it has moscato and elderberry. Second , Bees Knees is made with gin it's on the stronger side good but I will stick with the sweet stuff . Also ordered the Napa Panini it was okay a bit dry could have used more pesto and tomatoes but not bad overall will definitely come back to try out the charcuterie

Lauryn L.

Yelp
Great for drinks while I am out shopping. local hangout seems to have lots of regulars so also great for networking during the weekday

Denise D.

Yelp
I really hope someone sees this who can actually fix what is going on at The Local- I have been going here for years and have always loved it. However, the new staff is awful. Completely kills the experience. The bartender (not sure of his name, has a beard) is incredibly stand offish, uninterested, and unprofessional. The service in general whether at a table or at the bar is slow and it has really turned me off to going back.

Elise C.

Yelp
Favorite wine spot in Henderson! Good wine selection and simple but delicious food menu. Staff is great!

Arnold G.

Yelp
Service was non existent. Bartender was too busy staring at his phone and texting. Went in at 1pm on Friday 12/22. Bar had 5-6 people. Guy was more interested in his phone than making money. We waited almost 10 mins but not even a hi or be right with you. I understand everyone's busy but be attentive. Were very patient people but had to leave. A simple acknowledgment would've been fine. We left and spent money at Bella vita where 1 server was manning the whole dining area by herself with no issue. Wanted to try this place out for once but will never come back here. Thanks for nothing.

Seema A.

Yelp
I love The Local! It's such a cute vibe with delicious drinks! I'm a fan of their cocktails. Service is always really friendly & great, & I feel like every time I come here I always end up talking with whoever I'm sitting near. Definitely a Henderson gem!

Mna A.

Yelp
This place has a good happy hour and the food was amazing. The outside sitting area makes you feel as if you were in a restaurant in Europe. Super cute spot to grab a drink and chat!

Erica L.

Yelp
This was our second time at the Local. Again the service was great, the atmosphere bursting with lots of laughter. If you like quiet places, this is not the place for it. It's very loud, but not in a bad way. If you want a little more quiet you can sit outside as well. The wine we selected was SAINT COSME 2022 COTES-DU-RHONE. It's normally a $13 bottle but they charged $45. I get it. Restaurants will always mark up their bottles, some I've seen do a 300% mark up. This is not the reason for the three stars. The reason was because of their charcuterie boardWe selected eight items. The price, again, expected to be on the higher end but it was very disappointing to see the board when it arrived to our table. The cheese was tasty, but they only gave us slivers of it. The meat was good, but again, very little was provided. They do fill it was lots of bread, olives, and pickles. But you can tell they are using the inexpensive food items to mask the small slices of cheese and minimal meat. I recommend skipping the charcuterie board and getting your favorite drink instead. They have lots to choose from!

Nina C.

Yelp
A friend and I decided to have lunch here before watching a movie on a Saturday afternoon. It was packed and we were lucky to grab the last open table. The cocktails and sandwiches were delicious. I'll need to try a flight of their wines next time.
