The Local wine bar opens at The District at Green Valley Ranch in May | Eater Vegas

"Planned to open in mid-May, this 1,000-square-foot wine bar—created by Me Gusta Tacos owners Chris Connors and Li Hsun Sun along with local real-estate agents Randy and Amy Maher—aims to fill a gap in the Las Vegas/Henderson market for a simple, homey wine-and-small-plates spot with lively energy. The beverage program emphasizes hard-to-find California wines from Sonoma, Santa Maria and Napa, and is complemented by beers, tequilas, rums, scotches, classic martinis and Champagne. The food menu focuses on sharable light fare: three board options (vegetable, cheese and mixed meat) and a variety of bruschetta (fig jam with Granny Smith apples and brie; roasted red peppers with goat cheese; smoked salmon; egg salad; smashed avocado; and homemade chicken salad) plus multiple panini choices including prosciutto and Swiss, sun-dried tomato aioli with feta/roasted turkey and artichoke hearts, smoked turkey and brie, salami/prosciutto with red peppers, and roasted chicken with basil pesto." - Susan Stapleton
