The Noodle

The best hand pulled noodles in the city full stop. Legitimately better than 90% fair you would find in Asia. If you are a fan of spice and noodles this is a must visit and worth the trip to Harlem. Everything is worth trying. Even the basic stir fry beef knocks it out of the park. 10/10 noodles, 10/10 flavoring. The spice hits hard like it should! Very generous portions - but don’t skimp on the appetizers! Only downside is inside seating isn’t the most exciting. But what you get for lack of ambience you get back in authentic taste.

We shared scallion ginger pork with ribbon hand-pulled noodles (medium spice level), spicy cumin lab with #2 extra thick noodles (medium spice level), shrimp wontons in herbal broth (low spice level), and lyche pekoe black tea. All delicious. Thick noodles satisfyingly chewy, ribbon noodles satisfyingly flavorful. The tea semi-sweet and refreshing. The wontons delicious. "Medium" spicy level is higher than what many places call "spicy." My only criticism would be that the noodle dishes are served in tall plastic containers, which made them a little difficult to eat out. Still, no hesitation recommending this place and rating them 5 stars.

Actually, it was very disappointing. Not what I thought it would be after reading the reviews, and I was totally looking forward to it. I got 2 dishes ($40) and neither one satisfied us . The dapan zhu had flavor but lacked in meat as it was all fatty pieces. The cumin soup is just a pass. Should’ve just went for stir fry dishes maybe would’ve been better.

The Noodle has great hand pulled noodles. The dishes are authentic. The noodles were just a tiny bit too doughy for my liking, but Id definitely go back. The iced lychee team was my favorite.

Definitely didn’t realize the portions would be so big. Definitely enough for two meals per box. Had the scallion chicken stir-fry and it was quite good, but not amazing. Would love to try another dish here. The price is a bit high ($13) but worth it when it’s good for two people.

This place is amazing! Some of the noodle items remind me of the authentic northwestern Chinese food that I've had. I particularly love the cumin lamb/beef stir fried noodle and the traditional stir fried noodle; the beef herbal noodle soup is also something I keep going back to. I also love that there are multiple types of noodles to choose from. The portion is very generous; one order of noodle is plenty to share between two people. As I live in the same neighborhood, I always place a pick-up orders, and they’re always very fast, not to mention that the quality is consistently amazing. A true gem!!!

Although I contacted them directly via email to tell them about the state of the food which cost $44, nobody bothered to answer a week later! I will never buy it again! Noodles had no sauce, stuck together! Dumplings were charred, not fried! Scallion pancake was plain uncooked and burnt outside dough with no scallions! The bao sandwich got thrown out before taking a picture, that’s how disgusting it looked!

This was the very first restaurant I tried out when I moved to Harlem - my roommate had seen in on a top ten list. The hand-pulled ribbon noodles are phenomenal - delicious and extremely filling. My go-to order is the Spicy Cumin Stew with pork, as well as an order of the Pork & Chive Dumplings. I bring everyone from out of town there. Super fast service and easily accessible - I am so grateful to have this place as a neighborhood spot! Completely hooked.

Very satisfied with the Chinese style noodles and dumplings. Prices are decent, find your own seat inside. Very comfortable place to eat and chat. Highly recommend coming for food or just to enjoy hanging out with friends. Clean, temperature was perfect and I don't remember there being much music or noise. Not sure if there's a bathroom. To decide what to order, they have a nice menu with pictures on their website as well as an iPad in the store with descriptions of the offerings. They specialize in different types of noodles stir fried with different proteins in either cumin or ginger etc. There's also buns and dumplings and wontons. The man at the front counter was very welcoming and nice. He made some suggestions for what to order. 4.5/5 - Cumin stir fry pork with handpulled ribbon noodles. Very filling. Came in a cute takeout box. After mixing in the veges it was a balanced flavor, not too salty. Pork was cooked perfectly soft and moist with some fat. Got it medium spicy which to me was barely spicy. Would recommend going a level up. A bit oily. 4/5 - pork and chive dumplings - very acceptable classic dumplings. Know that its not the usual long crimped chinese dumplings. These are pretty juicy with a robust flavorful filling and chewy dumpling wrapper. Basically don't need the sauce. The nice man also offered spicy sauce. 1/5 - pork bao (buns) - definitely not a personal favorite. The filling was insanely salty (and I love salty foods...) and also sweet. Not my preference. 3.5/5 - peach tea, $3 a cup. Very affordable. Tastes a bit watery but can't complain at this price point. Refreshing. They have plastic cups to self serve water. They offer disposable chopsticks, forks, spoons, etc. The place was also clean. tl;dr good chinese stir fry noodles and dumplings place. Welcoming staff, decent prices, clean, quiet, get the hand pulled ribbon noodles or dumplings

This place might just be my new obsession--I ordered two days in a row! And yes, I've got the receipts to prove it. Both times, the food hit the spot. Feeling under the weather from traveling, I went with the Herbal Beef Soup with their special hand-pulled lamein noodles and the hot and tangy chicken and shiitake dumplings (you do have to pay extra for those noodles). The flavors were so rich and comforting, I was genuinely sad when I finished. You can tell everything is made fresh--the noodles and dumplings were next-level. The lamein noodles were thick and flat, which made slurping a bit tricky, so the next day I ordered the same soup but switched to lo mein noodles. They were thinner and perfect for slurping. Overall, I'm obsessed and can't wait to come in person on my next trip to try more!

I had a great time here. The food is just really hearty and super good. The service was just very respectful and calm. The ambiance is super cozy and cute. 5 stars definitely

On Google Maps this place is known as "The Noodle" so almost thought I was in the wrong neighborhood. I ordered the cumin stir fry which starts at $14 but I had it with lamb and the handle pulled noodles so it cost $18.50. They were good, not my favorite though. Some of the lamb was a bit chewy. I also ordered the hot and tangy pork & chive dumplings ($10.50 for 6). I love how they came in the broth/soup but it at the same time it took away from the flavor of the dumplings. They were a bit on the doughy side. I really appreciate how they let you choose the spice level! I played it safe and went with low which didn't give it much heat and that was fine with me. If you order high or crazy high there's a note that states "no refunds" Took at least 10 minutes for Mr to get my order to go. They have about 8 stools that you can sit on if you want to enjoy your food there.

Fast and delicious. Both of us ordered off the local tastes portion of the menu and had radically different meals that weee both great. I'd come back tomorrow!

The shrimp wonton is amazing. The broth is exceptional. I also got a chrysanthemum tea which was perfectly sweet. The noodles here are also all very good. Very happy that a hand pulled noodles place exists in harlem.

My friend and I came for a weekday lunch. We were the only ones eating here; this spot mostly has a strong delivery and takeout game, it seems. The eat-in spot is fairly bare and counter seating. The menu is short but well curated. You can order on a tablet, which shows pictures and lets you choose spiciness levels. (The hottest level is described as incredibly strong.) We split two dishes with medium spice, which I'd say was still quite strong. Great noodle texture, though noodles were so long that it was hard to eat/cut with the utensils we had. We got extra spicy crisp sauce on the side, which was a great addition. The guy working in the main area was so kind to bring it to us. I can't wait to come back and try more.

Immediately you can tell this is a location that is designed for comfort food and mainly serves as a takeout location. The area is small yet has a charm to it. Famous for their handmade noodles, and I had to try them out! I did takeout and so the food was a little cold because I live around 30 mins away. I can tell right away the noodles definitely hit the spot if you need some noodles, some heat, and a tinge of home! The pricing is really fair for the quantity and the quality speaks for itself. Dapan Niu is fantastic but comes with pre-set spice. Beef broth is one of their most ordered along with the Stir Fry. Would definitely come here again. The service was pretty standard and friendly. As it is a takeout place there is nothing there. Ratings are based on food, scallions were a bit lackluster.

One of the tastiest bites I've had since I've been in New York. the bowl was hot, spicy and refreshing all in one with perfectly cooked vegetables and loads of umami peppery flavor. The teas are amazing also, I had the lychee pekoe as well as the chrysanthemum.

I ate this two days in a row. Once from door dash the next by walking in. The noodles are savory and delicious. Costly but worth every bit of my dollars

We get Handpulled Noodles from this place in Harlem (370 Malcom X Blvd) at least once a week. It is one of our favorites! Our favorite is the Scallion + Ginger Stir Fry with chicken, but we've tried almost all of them and they are all so good! (The Cumin Stir Fry with beef is our second favorite). If you love hand-pulled style noodles, their ribbon noodle is delicious with the right amount of chewiness. We also like the fresh pressed noodles to change it up. The noodles can be a bit spicy, so we choose low spice or no spice and it's perfect. Portions are huge! Also try their Street Eats. Bao Sliders are our favorite of these, but the veggie spring rolls and scallion pancakes are also super delish! I highly recommend this place!

I placed an order at 7 pm here through uber eats. 1 stir fry and one soup noodle totaling to a whopping 49.95 after all the fees and delivery tip. The delivery time was for 7:40-8 pm. This place uses their own delivery driver/tracking app , and when i checked the status of my order around 8:10 it said my food wasn't on the way and was still being prepared. I requested an update through Ubers app. NO response. I wait another 15 minutes and still no answer on the update. Around 8:25 i call uber support and they tried calling the restaurant for an update, NO ANSWER even after repeat three way calls to the restaurant from uber. At this point its around 8:35 and everything in my area will start to close around 9. I check the delivery update screen and it still said my food was being prepared, I call from my cell and also NO ANSWER still. Also a side note despite having past successful deliveries a similar scenario happened with ordering take out from this restaurant before (i waited two hours after ordering to never receive food and see that they closed without even making it and uber had to refund me).So this time I promptly called uber customer service so they can cancel my order and refund me. I ended up leaving out around 8:45 to find something thats open nearby and im currently dining in At a different restaurant. Had the restaurant bothered to answer or even confirm the order was actually still being made I would have walked and picked it up. This second weird experience today has pretty much been the last time I ever order there take out or otherwise just to spare myself from future disappointment. I would advise anyone who's still interested in eating here to only order in person.

Really delicious noodles. 2 locations in Harlem. Authentic flat noodles and chopped noodles. Great options like ginger and scallion noodles and also phenomenal tofu noodles.

I ordered right at supper time. Came very fast!! So delicious! I got the herbal beef soup. It was full of flavor!

The store is pretty small and has limited seating, so if you're planning to dine in, check with them beforehand. Service was good, takes about 10-15 minutes for the food, but our dishes were too salty, both the Dapan-Niu and the Scallion + Ginger Stir Fry... so we didn't finish either dish

New favorite spot! First timer here, and tried the cumin soup noodle and the chicken dumplings. So good!!

Amazing. 10 out of 10 recommend. I wish I could give this place MORE stars. That food was delicious with a capital D. I loved the noodles. I got them with chicken and medium spice...they were perfection. It's a small place with a few seats because the focus is totally on the food. It was made hot and fresh and clearly with love. Please do yourself a favor and eat here.

The noodles are too thick for true hand pull noodles. Flavor is nothing special, it's just good. Lamb is a bit overcooked. You order yourself on a Ipad. Service is nice.

Delicious food! I ordered through uber eats and everything was perfect temperature and packed nicely. Friendly delivery. I love the packaging and boxes the food came in. The pork buns were too salty, but still good. Everything else was delicious! The curry lemon wings have such unique flavor!

The curry lamb is my go to choice!!! The medium spice is just right. Has a little heat to it but manageable. Never a bad experience.

It's not really a place where you can sit down and eat. They do provide tables and chairs but the table space is so thin, you have to eat at a slant, lol. I guess it's enough space the size of a school lunch tray. Nevertheless, the service was too the point, nothing special. She was kind. The food came out with 10-15 minutes. I really enjoyed their scallion pancakes! Their chicken ginger soup, sorry to say that it was underwhelming and the noodles were much firmer than I expected. I had a nice time here at The Handpulled Noodle. The staff is super friendly and welcoming. The food is very good and very warming. The ambiance feels warm and cozy like the food.

Foods good but has a really strong Indian spice flavor. Noodles a bit too undercooked for me. Beef was a bit mysterious. Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing.

Not a huge menu, but really really good at what they do. Great flavors, fresh tasting. This is a little spot that would be easy to miss - try not to miss it, you'll be glad you got there. She got the ginger scallion stir fry and really liked it - I didn't try it because I'm a total wimp about hot spices and what others think is medium puts me in pain... seriously. One time at a Thai place the heat made my nose bleed! Anyway, I got the traditional stir fry (mild) and it was great, although some of the beef was just a bit too much gristle. I got the wide noodles which were perfect for the dish, next time I might try the cut wide noodles and see if it's a little easier to eat. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who enjoys noodles in any form, and I hope to be back soon!

Really the best super flavorful food! Freshest produce and chicken and really fast delivery! When the fridge is empty and you have a headache from not eating enough all day.... BUT it's past 10 and the only thing delivering is fast food UNTIL you see that Noodle is open til 11 and takes orders until 10:30 online coming in clutch hot and perfect w a yummy lychee iced tea and a cold can of soda for my neck in 25 min . Thankful for this place! The lemon curry rubbed wings they added to the menu recently are amazing! I always add a side of broccoli- yes it's $9 but it's a generous portion heaped w garlic. We also love the crispy spring rolls and chicken and shiitake dumplings and pork and chive dumplings!

Very good food! I could see this becoming a regular spot for me. I had the traditional stir fry which I felt was on the small side when it came to portion size as the container was only about half full but the noodles were very tasty. The pork and chive dumplings were pretty good but I'd say they were pretty much in line with other good dumplings I've had.

It's nice to have some more food choices in Harlem. To be perfectly honest, I accidentally "found" this place while looking for another spot with indoor dining. Overall, I thought my food was pretty good. Unfortunately, I cannot remember for the life of me what I had, but the dish definitely had noodles ( ;) ). For the price, you will get a large portion of food. Although I was in pure starvation mode, I could not eat all of my food because it was so much - you'll have enough noodles for two meals. I hope to return so I can try so more of the menu items . . . and hopefully write a more comprehensive review.

These noodles are, genuinely, perfect. You MUST get the handpulled (ribbon and lagman are my favorite). Order directly from their website, the platform is easy to use and it helps the business. I actually don't know what I'd do without Handpulled Noodle in my life.

I love the interior design of this place. You will feel so comfortable as soon as you a walk in. Slightly smaller than usual but there is a vibe to it. Shrimp wonton is very good there. Hot and spicy bowls are delicious as well.

The food was delicious .The wide flat noodles were so good. Service was quick and food hot. It's a grab and go place with 6 bar chairs .Not a good place for dinning in. Will definitely order again and have my food delivered.

I order food last Friday. I waited for over 35 minutes for my food. My order had gotten cold and was waiting on to go section. I asked for a refund and they gave me a email. I just moved to the neighborhood I will not be returning

Addictive! Harlem's 3600 Broadway Handpulled Noodle has become my "opps, didn't shop enough" go-to when late in the week I realize I've come up short on what to make for dinner. The combination of spicing used for their fresh pressed or handpulled noodles, four types of meats (pork, chicken, lamb, beef), "standard" vegetable enhancements and vegetarian options (Jackfruit, Seitan) will satisfy and delight virtually every taste bud. With their delivery app you can follow each stage of the efficient delivery process.

One of my favorite food spots in New York by far. I'm not at this location as often because I live far closer to the one on Broadway, but the menu is the same and I couldn't vouch for the food more. The spicy cumin dish especially is amazing no matter what protein you pick.

I ordered takeout and was excited for the food, especially because it had great reviews but our noodles were raw, very disappointing but willing to give them another try.

Food is way too salty. Noodles have a nice consistency but it's drowning in salty seasoning.

This is my go to noodle spot for my spicy noodle fix. The cumin noodles are my fave. Authentic spices! Theres 5 levels of spice please don't go to the Crazy Spice (highest) unless you are a pro. You will be left in drenching sweat. That's me. I'm that Crazy Spice lover. Also there's 4 different noodles to choose from. I prefer the udon noodles! But you do you!

Ordered via Grubhub and ended up being delivered by the restaurant. So the timing was off on delivery. I was shocked at how fast delivery was less than 30 for sure. Ordered pork and chive dumplings and Scallion Ginger noodles with beef and the #2 style noodles. The dumplings had pretty thick wrapper and the filling was really tasty. The noodles were thick, I didn't expect them to be that thick. Will try the #1 noodle next time. Flavor was nice and simple I did no spice as I can't take heat and they were not spicy at all. Perfect. Portion size was really good too. Will order directly thru them next time as they deliver.

I loved loved loved my visit to the noodle. I ordered their cumin stir fry noodles with chicken and rice noodles and it was scrumptious. All of their noodle sauces are gluten free (though ask them to hold the seitan if you order the veggie noodle soup), and so are two of their noodle options. Since it's exceedingly rare for me to find gluten-free food that's Chinese, I was truly over the moon here. Easy 5 stars.

This place started off so strong, but has gone completely downhill. Portion sizes drastically reduced, with incressed prices. The wings were the best item on the menu, and are now undercooked and under seasoned. Strange to watch a restaurant gentrified itself.

I have been eating at this place once a week for over a year. I usually get my food to go without any issues until tonight. I was waiting for my order and then I hear the contents of my order rattled off, but handed to someone that just got there. I asked the man if that was my order he handed over. He asked me what my order was, went in the back and came back and said it was coming right up. I had a bad feeling, but thought that maybe she had the exact order that I had placed. Everyone around me got their food and I'm still waiting. He then came up to me and told me that they had run out of my particular noodle and it would take longer. I knew something was so odd. Then the lady that had my order walked in with a bag and he handed her a different bag and she left. I stood up to look to see what he would do with the bag she handed him. He walked near the cooks, then to the front where they bag the orders all the while holding the bag she gave him. He came out with a smile to hand me my food and I told him no! I told him that I had watched the whole thing go down. He lied to my face and claimed that it just came out, it didn't. I should have opened right there and then to show it was not hot, but I was just so mad that he continued to lie when I watched it all happen and he tried to gaslight me. I just asked for my money back. This is a violation of the health code, poor customer service, and disgusting practice. There's no telling how else they cut corner. I'm not ever going back.​​​

I was so thrilled to see a hand pulled noodle spot in Central Harlem. In general, I love fresh hand pulled noodles. I've noticed that most of the ones I've visited have a surfeit of dishes that feature a spice I absolutely abhor, cumin. When I visit other Schezuan spots there are usually a few but I digress. I was doubly impressed see jackfruit on the menu here. I was sooo hungry when I ventured in this spot and made sure I asked for a dish that had no cumin in it. I ended up getting a ginger dish. Love ginger. I got my hot hand pulled noodles with jackfruit and waddled my little happy go lucky behind 16 blocks home. I wash my hands and sit down to eat with 17 minutes to wolf down as much of my new found gustatory treasure. I opened up the little box only to be smacked in the face by the overpowering scent of cumin here's the thing about that. Spice. It's so bold that it overpowers almost every other flavor of any dish it's added to. So it automatically becomes the main feature of any dish it's added to. I think Tex-Mex cuisine is the only cuisine in which it blends well with the general profile of some of the most popular dishes. That said, I believe it's often used to disguise the somewhat gamey flavor of lamb by just overpowering it. I digress. I thought I'd scream because there was no way I was going to eat more than two bites of this food that I just spent about $18 for if you include the tip. So I called them. I explain, although I specifically asked for dishes was absolutely no coming because I couldn't stand the flavor. I got a dish that was laden with it. Now I will tell you I ordered my dish with medium heat. However, cumin doesn't really add heat to a dish. Joe, it didn't have to be added. Now initially, the gentleman said that they don't really deliver, although it does say that they deliver within the neighborhood and specifically to order through them directly for that so that the delivery services don't get the extra fees that are talked on and those come directly to the business. However, because he remembered me and my request about that ham-fisted spice. He went ahead and made an exception to replace with another. That one arrived. Thank goodness with no cumin. I must tell you that I appreciated them being so accommodating, particularly given the fact that I was as hungry as I was. I would certainly recommend this spot, particularly if you have no problems with cumin. It is a primarily takeout place, although there his limited seating and high chairs around the edge of the restaurant.
