Here’s Where to Spend 36 Food and Wine-Filled Hours in Lodi - Eater SF

"The culinary pedigree behind this British-style pub is proper: executive chef Srijith “Sri” Gopinathan helmed Michelin-starred Taj Campton Place in San Francisco before lending his expertise to the Oxford. Focused on the array of foods found in London street markets, the menu features a comforting chicken tikka masala bowl, shepherd’s pie, fish and chips with mushy peas, bangers and mash, and, reportedly, the only beef Wellington in Lodi." - Laura Smith Borrman

Acclaimed Chef Behind Michelin-Starred Ettan Opens English Restaurant Oxford Lodi in Central Valley | Eater SF

"A casual, family-friendly restaurant in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Oxford Lodi is Gopinathan’s latest project—officially opened in late 2021 with a grand opening celebrated more recently—and features a menu of simple English classics and familiar cross-cultural dishes drawn from his time in England; the menu includes shepherd’s pie, beef Wellington, banoffee pie as well as chicken tikka masala, falafel, and lamb kebabs. He says he purposely wanted to do something fun rather than overly serious and chose Lodi partly because of the community and the region’s robust wine appellation; although he worked on the Oxford menus, he will not be in the kitchen daily and prefers to be credited as co-owner and founder rather than executive chef." - Lauren Saria

Visited The Oxford Kitchen tonight for a birthday dinner - our first time there to try their British-themed food and atmosphere. Tuesday night, not too busy, and we loved having it be too crowded. The service Michael provided was impeccable - he went out of his way to introduce the menu to us and was amazingly attentive, which we appreciated very much. He kept an eye on us in case we needed anything at all, and was always two steps ahead! He made our dining experience both fun and five-star. The food was also just as wonderful...we thoroughly enjoyed the beef wellington and the sauce served alongside it was delicious. The cast iron rolls were minature, so cute, but just the right amount for two people and baked perfectly. The scotch eggs were also very good! Desert-wise, the cheese cake was just not a winner....however, the bread pudding was remarkable. I wish the serving was larger - definitely not sharable, haha. The only reason the food category didnt get a 5, was because the food menu was literally just one page. Yes, ONE. The remaining three pages of the menu were all beverages and spirits, LOL. I would have expected a larger food offering in a themed restaurant....but then again, it is a "pub". Overall, great dinner and service. We will be back!

We had a great dinner at The Oxford! It was a busy night, but we grabbed seats at the bar and really enjoyed the lively atmosphere. The bar setup is beautiful-tall shelves of bottles, sleek lighting, and a well-organized tap selection gave it a classy but approachable vibe. We ordered the Beef Wellington, which was cooked perfectly and served with a flavorful sauce-definitely the highlight of the meal. The avocado burger was also delicious and came with crisp fries and fresh toppings. Great flavor, good portions, and everything was plated nicely. Service was friendly and efficient even with the crowd. If you're looking for a spot with elevated British-inspired food and a fun bar scene, The Oxford is worth a visit!

Google
The family and I had brunch here today, and everything was excellent. Apparently, my wife comes often enough that the waiter recognized her—which gave us a good laugh! The food was spot-on, and both the orange juice and Bloody Marys were fantastic. The only reason I gave the atmosphere one less star is due to the strong mothball-like smell when we first walked in. I get that the building is nearly 150 years old, but the initial odor was a bit overpowering. That said, it didn’t take away from the overall great experience.

Google
The place looks great. Tough call but had to give it a 4 star. Some of the dishes at our table were just too underwhelming for the price. I ordered the Wellington and it was so small. Tasty though. I’d come back but I’d definitely order something else.

Google
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Heavenly Experience! The service was absolutely wonderful—attentive, kind, and professional. But the food… wow. Every bite was bursting with incredible flavor. I truly felt like I was in heaven while eating. It was one of those rare dining experiences where everything just felt perfect. I can’t wait to come back!

Google
We started with cocktails and the Oxford Bramble was delicious! Our server Bhanu was amazing at helping us decide what to get. We enjoyed the Chermoula roasted eggplant dish - no idea how the eggplant was cooked but it was tender and flavorful. The seared potato gnocchi with melted kale was in a flavorful sauce that we couldn’t stop eating. And the finale was the chicken tikka bowl which was served with a fragrant saffron rice. It was worth the drive up from the Bay Area for lunch but we found out there is one in Sunnyvale!

Google
We had dinner on Thursday, March 13, as a group of three, and the experience was great from beginning to end. Making a reservation was simple, and we were seated as soon as we arrived. The restaurant was quiet and relaxed, which made for a pleasant evening. Our server, Michael, was fantastic. He was attentive, friendly, and gave excellent recommendations. Since none of us drink alcohol, he suggested some non-alcoholic options, all of which were delicious. We also took his advice on entrées, and every dish was a hit. The only small downside was that the mashed potatoes weren’t as warm as we’d hoped, but everything else was excellent. The food, service, and overall experience left us completely satisfied, and we’d happily return.

Google
I must highlight the great service there. I left my credit card there and the waiter immediately called me by looking up my reservation record. He is very thoughtful and patient.

Yelp
Great experience. Called in asking them To accommodate a 12 top ( another place turned us away) and they accepted our reservation. I Ordered the linguine and my husband ordered crab cake Benedict's. We both loved our dishes. Although, he wished it was larger. Our server was attentive given the size of our group, and the restaurant was pretty loud. A little robot delivered our food which was a nice little experience. Overall we will be back for sure! Thanks for the accommodations!!

Yelp
My husband and I chose this place for our date night. The atmosphere was cute, with a spacious bar area. Upon arrival, the hostess suggested seating us in the back room, which was somewhat removed from the main area and dimly lit. I would not recommend the back room, so I requested to be seated in the front. We were then placed near the window. Our server was friendly and, since it was our first visit, offered several suggestions. As we don't consume pork, he kindly recommended some pork-free options. We opted for the oysters, which turned out to be extraordinarily large! If you prefer larger oysters, these are the ones to order. I should mention that we typically order Kumamoto oysters, which are on the smaller side. My husband was curious about the scotch eggs, which often contain bacon. However, these did not, so he decided to give them a try. I tasted a bit and quickly spit it out, as it had a strong goat cheese flavor. If you enjoy that taste, you might find them appealing. Surprisingly, my husband enjoyed them. We also tried the bone marrow, which was delicious; I highly recommend it! For our main courses, I ordered the salmon with risotto and my husband chose the beef Wellington. Both dishes were adequate, but not exceptional. Our drinks were yummy, though I cannot recall the specific names. Considering the whole experience, I would rate this establishment a 5 out of 10.

Yelp
I was somewhat in the area so decided to try a new place for us to eat. The Oxford Kitchen was a pleasant surprise from dining atmosphere to the food. It wasnt busy for being Friday at dinner time. We were welcomed with a friendly greeting and seated right away. Our waiter was able to answer all our questions. Food took a little longer than expected but it was okay because we were having a long convoy. We order drinks, apps, entrees, and dessert. We were happy with everything we ordered. Food was good not great. My husband expected better flavor to his steak for the price. I wasn't crazy about my lobster gnocchi in red sauce. I was curious if white creamy sauce would've been better. I was real excited about the panna cotta dessert but disappointed because it was way too tart. Will I return? Sure. I liked the atmosphere and wouldn't mind trying other items on the menu. -Oxford Mule -Crab cakes -Grilled Pear & Avacado salad -Lobster Gnocchi -Char Rib Eye steak -Oxford Shepherd's Pie -English style Fish & Chips -Passion fruit Panna Cotta -Cheese cake

Yelp
Great brunch stop in Lodi. Attentive staff provided great service and a fun lunch experience. Orders included crunchy cauliflower appetizer, fish 'n chips with mushy peas and salmon salad. All Delicious. Drat, we didn't have room for dessert. Next visit needs to be dessert & coffee only. Our entree serving sizes are generous and there's never enough room for dessert!

Yelp
Had reservations for Sunday brunch but we probably didn't really need a reservation since it wasn't busy when we arrived. Quickly seated and provided with water. Decor is British themed like the food! Love their telephone booth decor. I ordered the classic eggs Benedict. The waitress did inform us that the eggs Benedict doesn't come on an English muffin as described on the menu and instead comes on a potato pancake/hashbrown type. This was fine with me but I think it'd be better with a classic English muffin and with breakfast potatoes or fries instead of the side salad. I still enjoyed my food. Service was great! They also had someone play music on an electric/digital piano keyboard. He sounded great!

Yelp
We went to Oxford Kitchen on Saturday night for dinner. As we walked in, no one greeted us at the front reception area. We looked around for anyone to check in. The waiters looked at us but no one acknowledged us. My wife wanted to leave but I was hungry. The food is always great here but the staff and owners need to realize that patrons need to be acknowledged as they come in for dinner. We waited about 7 mins. We were told only outside seating were available but there were tables empty in plain view! Please alert your staff, we felt unwelcomed! We were seated, ordered our drinks, appetizers and meal. Food was a 10 but service and details were a 1...

Yelp
Had extremely high hopes for this place but it did fall a little short. The ambiance is nice and the service is good. The food sadly fell short. The oysters were not fresh tasting, the eggs felt if they were sitting out for a while and weren't an appropriate temperature for my liking. The beef Wellington was over salted. Paying market price for salmon nowadays in my opinion is meh. The star was definitely the pesto risotto. Really wanted to like this place more.

Yelp
The service was subpar. The server wasn't attentive and I had to ask the hostess about giving us the bill so that we could leave to go home. The food overall was underwhelming. I ordered Classic Beef Wellington and Peri-Peri Roasted Chicken so that I could share them with my friend. Then my friend ordered the Bone Marrow with Gratinite Crab as an appetizer. Here are the breakdowns: 1. CLASSIC BEEF WELLINGTON: the puff pastry was good, not hard. The mushrooms and sautéed kale inside the pastry was alright. The beef itself was OK. However, the sauce was very delicious. But still it wasn't worth $60. 2. PERI-PERI ROASTED CHICKEN: everything on this plate was bland. The peri-peri sauce was tasteless. The rice was a joke. A complete disappointment food for us. Not worth $29. 3. BONE MARROW WITH Gratinite Crab: the mini salad was delicious but the Bone Marrow itself was so uninspiring. The Gratinite Crab on top looked like a garnish and looking like crab meat floss. Not worth the order and definitely not worth $24. The only redeeming point from this restaurant was their Pomegranate Spritzer which costed $11 in a Snifter Glass. We also noticed that a lot people come here just for their drinks. For such an expensive restaurant, the food was below average. Unfortunately, we will not return to this restaurant.

Yelp
I came in at approximately 4pm'ish for an early dinner after picking up my wine order from Oak Farm. This restaurant is downtown. You can park on the streetcar in the small lot next door. I was immediately greeted by a very polite man and he seated me in one of the very comfortable booths. He immediately brought me a huge glass bottle of water which was nice because it was warm outside. I chose a beet, melon and goat cheese salad with chicken and a Passion Fruit Lemon Drop. The salad was served to me shortly after ordering along with my chicken. Salad was absolutely beautiful and fresh and the chicken addition that was suggested by the server was a great suggestion!! The server, who is actually the bartender was so nice we chatted and he made sure that I was very happy with everything. It's nice to have someone caring that you are having a great experience. This is a BEAUTIFUL restaurant, can't wait to try some of their other wonderful Items on their menu!!

Yelp
Just a follow up to our visit almost a year or so after our last period. we received great service once again upon our arrival. We chose to grab quick drinks and a small bite before heading to dinner reservations elsewhere. I had a pomegranate margarita this time, and it was definitely great, not sour, not too sweet, just the perfect balance. In addition to our drinks, we tried the crab cracks, which were soft and tasty. In the past, I've had crabcakes and other places where you can taste the crunch of the shell., This place definitely does not have that which I appreciated. The interior of the restaurant was still the same, it's beautiful and well kept. This is in downtown Lodi so you can walk around a few other places. There are some bars with live music, not too far as well.

Yelp
If I could assist more stars I would! This place was soooooo good! The spicy shrimp linguine was delicious, and I went back the next day. Make sure you get the rolls. The bartender made one of the best New York Sour I've had in a long time!!

Yelp
My brother and I meet up in Lodi for Birthdays and Holidays...it is half way between our homes. Yesterday we met here, slid in a sumptuous booth, had a great visit, and some yummy food. Inviting room...with a wall of cozy Booths. Amazing service from start to finish. Huge menu includes Evening choices at Lunch...hubby and went for the traditional Fish and Chips. My only complaint was it was a bit greasy for my taste. Hubby and I shared a rich dark chocolate dessert...it was outstanding. Perfect meet up spot with low noise level made it a 5 star experience.

Yelp
Cute upscale looking British themed restaurant. We had reservations but they weren't needed as it wasn't very busy and there is ample seating. Service was friendly and fast. Ordered the French Toast which was delicious and a regular coffee. They did have a live pianist which was nice. I would definitely come here again to try the non brunch menu and cocktails. They had British tikka masala which I'd love to try.

Yelp
The location is very nice and the overall ambiance is fantastic for a lunch or dinner but the food is a huge miss for me. While the service was top tier especially considering we had a big party with us. But the food was just very bland and unsatisfying with someone people at our table comparing it to frozen meals. Unfortunately would not recommend coming here if you want to eat something tasty. I had the shepherds pie and it was just unappetizing.

Yelp
Visited for the second time today. It was a nice afternoon so we decided to sit outside and it was very pleasant. The last visit we came for dinner and today we had lunch. The service was prompt, everyone was kind and the food was delicious. Portion sizes are good, everything was fresh and the cocktails were amazing. They did have live music going inside which was nice for a Sunday afternoon. Highly recommend the spicy shrimp pasta.

Yelp
Oxford is such a great place to go with your friends and enjoy a great meal. The food is delicious, the restaurant is aesthetically pleasing, the service is great and you can always walk around after your meal and stroll the neighborhood. Such a great spot!

Yelp
First of all I do not go out of my way to write a review for anything UNLESS my expectations were exceeded far beyond and truly have the need to express my experience with everyone First of all the bartender was great, anyone we interacted with was pleasant. I believe his name was Salman. So sorry because I know I'm spelling that wrong but i have to give him credit Me and my girl went looking to get some brunch, I ordered an espresso martini and she got a flavored margarita. She liked hers, a little strong but nobody was complaining lol and mine was one of the best espresso martinis I've had. Definitely recommend! We started off with the Slow Cooked Octopus and when I tell you we both looked at each other with such delight. OMG That sauce! The potatoes! The OCTOPUS! 10/10 Now the entrees- I was stuck on getting a brunch item, so I picked Chicken & Waffles and I absolutely do not regret that choice. I'm still thinking about it and the sauces it came with. I don't like honey mustard. But whatever they put in it, I can't. I need to learn how to make it lol My friend got the Chilean Sea Bass after being told she should get that over a different dish and we were both sooo glad that we listened. Absolutely immaculate.. chefs kiss I have never had a fish that literally melts in your mouth, if they still have it. GET IT! Meanwhile the bartender was super attentive and very helpful with his suggestions. Dessert- Passionfruit Panna Cotta We gave the bartender two options and asked him to surprise us, and he did not disappoint. We both have never had Panna Cotta before so now my standards are pretty high if I ever have it again. So light, refreshing, sweet, tart and the vanilla ice cream was a great touch. All in all I haven't had such a 10/10 experience in a while. The chefs deserve to be recognized. A perfect date night, a perfect treat yourself place! Literally just go. You're welcome :)

Yelp
What up, Deepak, Mr. Armenian! Sorry I'm bad at identifying Indians, Pakistanians, Armenians, but you also proved you couldn't tell Cambodians, Filipinos and Chinese either! ;) Fun guessing game! We are one, human race! 8) He made it fun! We had a great time hanging and banging (with the mash ofc)! Thnx 4 being a cool photog too, btw! I liked my English brunch cocktail. Food was good, nice, chill place. Loved the comfy, huge booth we had, like Bri'ish royalty (working on my accent). The decor is modern and hip, love the clear view of the bar from our booth.

Yelp
Probably the nicest dinner you can find in Lodi. It's not my favorite but damn is it good. Great service and great quality. I have had a lot of dishes here and the Wellington is now my favorite. The inside of this place is beautiful and holds that above its competitors.
google avatar

Jillian B.

Yelp
I want to start by saying the ambiance and service here is 5 star. Great bar! My espresso Martini was delicious and they had an extensive bar menu available that listed all of their offerings. We ordered the tuna tar tar, wagyu burger, chicken tikka masala, the lamb, & the ribeye. I'll start with the good. Everything tasted delicious. The lamb was amazing, burger was good, as well as the tikka masala. We would definitely go back for the lamb! Probably our favorite dish of the night. The tuna tar tar appetizer was also a favorite. My only complaint is that while the flavor and cook of the ribeye was good, the quality of the meat made it hard for me to believe it was worth the $60 price point. Ribeyes are known for their marbling & tenderness, & the melt in your mouth fatty goodness that you expect from a ribeye just wasn't there. I ordered it medium rare and it wasn't overcooked, but unfortunately the meat was tough and had little to know marbling. The fat that was present was gristly and inedible. I still ate it and enjoyed the flavor but I was disappointed I spent $60 on it.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Oxford for a long while so while shopping with my mom downtown we decided to finally try it. We ordered the lunch portion fish and chips (two pieces of fish, dinner comes with three) and the pear and avocado salad and shared both. The fish and chips were light and crisp and had the perfect texture. The salad was also really good- the dressing was tangy and complimented everything on the plate. My favorite part of the meal was the adorable little robot that followed our server to the table to deliver our food. It's so fun seeing this kind of restaurant tech in my tiny little city! The restaurant is nicely decorated with a beautiful bar in the center and the service was great also. I'm looking forward to come back for dinner to try the Wellington and update my review.

Yelp
The people who brought the items were warm and attentive--apparently that's called "service," and it was amazing. The space was big and comfortable, filled with objects and designs that seem to celebrate something called "England." Fascinating! There were countless colorful liquids in fancy glass containers--"cocktails," I learned. I tried something called the Oxford Old Fashioned, which combined four different types of something called "whisky." It was strong, smooth, and utterly mind-bending. Then came the shepherd's pie--a warm, savory creation fresh from the oven. Each bite was a mystery and a miracle. How have humans been doing this for so long? Absolutely delicious.

Yelp
Modern spot in Lodi. The theme is London. Cute red phone booth reminiscent of all things London. Cute photo opportunity. The bar is stocked with seasonal drinks. Plenty of space and lots of room for everyone. We went on a Saturday night and they were busy but not full. The bartenders were really nice and great about drink recommendations. We ordered the calamari thats was very small in portion and the drinks on the pricey side. We had Margaritas and also Valentines drink that had the bubbles you pop and smoke comes out very trendy. Their parking lot is tiny so you have to look for street parking. We came here before dinner and was a great pre- dinner spot. A variety of people and ages that made for interesting ambiance. 2 couples with 4 drinks and 1 calamari about $200 with tip.

Yelp
Went to have family dinner and to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The ambience is nice and vibrant and the team are very friendly. I ordered Spicy shrimp liguini, then my husband got the Lobster Gnocchi while our kids got Cheese Pizza and Fish & Chips. We also had an appetizer the Slow cooked Octopus and Calamari strips. Their drinks are good too. We recommend this place to everyone.

Yelp
The ambiance was nice and chilled. Great place for a first date or catch up with friends. The chicken tikka malasa and shrimp pasta was yummy! Didn't care too much for the fish and chips, it was a tad bit oily for me.

Nichole ..

Yelp
This was a fun experience, started with the cast iron bread and a gin & roses cocktail. Service was amazing. My steak and the Beef Wellington were amazing and the zucchini and potatoes on the side delicious. I would definitely go back to try more

Yelp
We came for an evening drink with friends. It's such a cozy and warm feeling when you walk in. Very welcoming. I really craved a chocolate martini but the bartender explained that he could make one but not like I was expecting because of the chocolate they had. He made a martini from Kahlúa and whatever else. It was so good and the presentation was elegant. Thank you to him for the topper to my evening.

Yelp
Went for dinner and we had such a good meal! I'm a vegetarian so I was very happy that there were so many options on the dinner menu. We started with the crispy cauliflower which was so good! I'll be back just for that cauliflower! I also had the beet & melon salad and that was really delicious too. My family had the mushroom raviolis and fish & chips and they both loved their meal too. It was my husbands birthday so they brought him ice cream for dessert. Both the service and food was great and we will definitely be back!

Yelp
I made reservations ahead of time thinking it would be busy during the week of Thanksgiving. As you walk in, you see a bar with an alcohol bottle backdrop to the left. It's decorated in a London theme, with a London payphone on the left. They sat us in the back on a long table. It felt private as it wasn't in the main dining area. I feel like it took a while to get our drinks in, but once we ordered our food, that came at an expected time. I ordered the spicy shrimp linguine, which was just as expected. Flavorful, with a bit of spice. I really enjoyed it. I heard the salmon was a bit dry. The ribeye could have used more seasoning. The Marsala was good. Overall, I enjoyed my time.
google avatar

Leah P.

Yelp
I had went here for a friend's birthday dinner and WOW. We all shared little bits and pieces of each of our meals and it was all so delicious. We had ordered the hummus and flatbread, Kobe beef burger, and spicy garlic shrimp linguine. Definitely will be coming back for date nights or girls night out!

Yelp
I absolutely love this place and all it has to offer. On our first visit, the restaurant was packed on a Saturday night and it had a really dope buzz in the air. The space is immaculate, massive, designed well, and has a nice feel. Good vibes all around. Our server was the nicest guy in the world, who knew the menu inside and out. He did such a great job of taking good care of our table, and we really felt cared for. Teresa ordered the Kobe beef burger, medium, no toppings. Just the burger so she could truly taste the Kobe beef, the char of the grill, and that authentic burger experience. This burger was cooked perfectly, juicy interior, crispy, crunchy charred exterior, Perfection. On our second visit, we literally came just for the Kobe burger. We loved it so much on the first visit that we drove down just to have burgers. Here is where I gotta take back a star and drop some criticism. If you are gonna have Kobe beef on the menu, it MUST be cooked correctly. Not some of the time and not most of the time. ALL the time. Now, I should have sent it back and had them make it right, but we just felt for our server, which obviously was not the best approach. So, if you are reading this today, make sure burgers are cooked perfectly Please! It was our anniversary and they were so kind to comp a dessert and have a fun presentation. I love this place and I will definitely return. The vibe is awesome, the food is really solid, and the service is exceptional.

Yelp
Always amazing food and service here. I've been here 3 times now, and we have tried different dishes and they are all amazing distinct flavors and sauces. Have to try when you're in Lodi! It's a gem! The ambiance is posh but relaxed too and love the nod to London.

Yelp
First time coming for brunch. Cant complain about any of the food or drinks. Everything was great. The vibe and service are also excellent here. We ordered a variety of drinks.

Yelp
Really delicious food! I was really happy and fulfilled with my food choice. The service was nice and quick. Presentation of food and location were giving the vibes of London for sure. As you will find plenty of artifacts based around London. We passed by this location at least 5-6 times over the last few months before stopping in. And I'm glad that we did. They also take reservations for events as well. I found their restroom unique in placement as the stalls are facing each other in the woman's bathroom once seated. But we're also clean. Which to me is of importance when visiting a restaurant and dining out. They also have patio seating in n the roof top and sidewalk seating. They are tucked away in a corner but a small gem once located.

Yelp
A Memorable Meal from Start to Finish We had an incredible dining experience from the very first bite to the last spoonful of dessert. The evening started with the Scotch eggs -- think fried deviled eggs, crisp on the outside with a creamy, savory center. They were addictive. The lemon ricotta flatbread was nestled between what tasted like a pillowy naan -- fresh, fluffy, and perfectly balanced with citrus and richness. Absolutely phenomenal. For mains, we shared the Ribeye and Beef Wellington. The Ribeye was cooked to a flawless medium rare -- juicy, flavorful, and beautifully seared. The Beef Wellington was a standout: the mushroom duxelles had a surprise twist with kale mixed in, which added a welcome freshness and lightness. The tomato-forward glaze was a bit unexpected, but actually paired well with the luxuriously creamy mashed potatoes. The French 75 deserves its own paragraph -- hands down the best I've had. The addition of honey syrup added a smooth, floral sweetness that elevated the classic cocktail without overpowering it. We finished with the bread pudding, which was soft, airy, and lightly sweet -- the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.

Yelp
We had reservations for a party of 11. We arrived early and decided to order a drink from the bar, it took nearly half an hour to get our drink and they weren't busy. Our party was seated and yet we remained at the bar waiting to receive our drinks. The manager appeared to be aware of our situation and he tried to facilitate the situation by grabbing our bar tab and closing it out for us while we still waited for our drinks. This is an upscale restaurant and was surprised that they are somewhat understaffed. I had the Char Grilled Rib-Eye Steak, it was a little bland and found myself shaking pepper and salt on it to get some flavor. But my friends had the Great Britain Tikka Masala & Spicy Garlic Shrimp Linguine - both of those dishes appeared to be a hit. I plan to return and hope for a better turnout.

Yelp
First time here. A coworker had brought this to my attention a few times. She really likes this place. So finally today (02-22-25) my wife and I had lunch here. We both ordered the Fish-n-Chips. Mind you that I already have a "Best Fish-n-Chips meal" mentally, so I hardly order this and the wife never orders this because it's to oily. But we did, and we were both surprised. This came sooooo close to my NEW favorite Fish-n-Chips meal. The only reason why it's not my favorite is because, not enough chips. Kidding Bigger surprise is that the wife thought it wasn't oily at all. Lunch was a good time, not to busy or noisy. Our meal came out quickly. Our server Sulma was very gracious and friendly. I've already texted friends and family about this place. Looking forward to having dinner here real soon.

Yelp
The surface was awesome , the ambience is beautiful and modern/upscale. The beat goat cheese salad with watermelon was to die for as well as the lamb flatbread with tzatziki and hummus. Definite deliciousness!!

Yelp
The main problem we had was the service. I asked our server several times if the lobster gnocchi would have tender lobster and was assured it would. When I got it I could hardly get my fork through it let alone cut it. When I brought this up to my server he said he'd bring me a steak knife, no other measure was made to fix the issue and I didn't end up eating a $50+ meal. I emailed in a complaint after this and was told by the manager, Neil, that lobster is ALWAYS tough and chewy and he offered to comp plain gnocchi for me instead. This isn't true, lobster is tender unless it is overcooked which I suspect is what happened here. Instead of taking responsibility I was spoken to like a child that doesn't know how food is meant to taste! The only good thing there was the crab cakes.

Yelp
When we first walked in, we were seated right away. The service was great. The server did end up forgetting our calamari, but got it out to us right away. The food was amazing. The price is just right for the quality of food. I would come back here again. The atmosphere was classy, but casual. Overall a great experience and I will be coming back.

Yelp
First time visiting the Oxford Kitchen. We sat at the bar and had some great drinks and customer service. We loved the oysters and the fresh ahi tuna appetizer. My Jalapeño Pineapple Margarita was on Point ! We asked about large groups for the holidays and they gave us a tour of their upstairs private room and patio. We will definitely come back for another day date and with more family. Wish I had taken pictures of the food, but it was so yummy I forgot to this time

Yelp
This food is Out of this World! The drinks are Spectacular as well! I recommend starting with the Ahi Tuna and Taro Chips, order the beet melon salad (screaming good) and then share a Beef Wellington but have them serve it on one plate! This Meal will Blow Your Mind! Also order a Blackberry Bramble with extra powdered sugar on the mint leaves! I eat the mint with the sugar while sipping the drink. This restaurant is the Best Restaurant that I have Ever eaten in the valley (at least one of the best). The waiters, Salomon, Dpac, Michael and Hunter are all so attentive that I feel like I am at home and nothing I would request is too much! They are a 6 Star Restaurant!!! A Must try! Oh, Pesca-vegan will Love the Salmon Pear salad! It's a meal in itself!

Yelp
What great ambiance! Service was excellent! Food was good. Had the Oxford breakfast. The waffle was nice and crispy! Made in heart shaped, adorable touch! The chicken sausage was good, loved that crunchy snap! The bacon could be better. Thin and pathetic. Cranberry juice came in small tiny cup, could be better in a larger cup. Overall, happy and satisfied!

Yelp
Amazing service .... And I'm so full. We went for a birthday and they treated us impeccably the entire time. Food was great.. you can see the picture and yes they tasted as good as they looked. Give this place a try - you'll leave going "yeah, I'll be back"

Yelp
Brunch to end our girls trip was fantastic! The venue and service were impeccable. We thoroughly enjoyed all of our meals and beverages. Parking was easy, bathroom clean, and turnaround on our order was smooth. We will definitely be back!

Yelp
The Oxford Kitchen is a lovely restaurant in downtown Lodi. They have an upscale pub vibe and specialize in British faire. The decor style is that of a rich, plush contemporary pub, but don't worry, they still have the token old fashioned phone booth for the traditionalists :) Parking can be a bit of an issue downtown, especially during the day but you shouldn't have to walk more than a few blocks. There have never been many patrons when we have eaten here so being seated right away has never been a problem and service has always been friendly and prompt. On our last visit, we had the fish and chips, shepherds pie and bread pudding for dessert. Oh, and I believe I had a Pimm's Cup as well. Dinner came to around $85 for two after tip so just know this is not a place to try if you are on a budget. That being said, we have seen guests here in everything from suits and gowns to sweats and ripped jeans so I don't believe they have a dress code. The fish tasted fresh and the chips were ok but the shepherds pie was actually quite spicy if you can believe it. It's one of my favorite dishes and typically has a distinct flavor. I have even had it multiple times in London. I almost couldn't finish it. The Pimm's cup was light and sparkly but lacking flavor. We gave our meal and drinks 3/5 but that bread pudding definitely elevated our experience. It's also a simple dish but it was warm and delicious so if you do stop here, don't skip dessert.

Yelp
A good place for brunch in downtown Lodi! We love the pancakes with fruit and their chicken and waffles. Nice atmosphere, great service and not overpriced.
