"A casual, family-friendly restaurant in the heart of California’s Central Valley, Oxford Lodi is Gopinathan’s latest project—officially opened in late 2021 with a grand opening celebrated more recently—and features a menu of simple English classics and familiar cross-cultural dishes drawn from his time in England; the menu includes shepherd’s pie, beef Wellington, banoffee pie as well as chicken tikka masala, falafel, and lamb kebabs. He says he purposely wanted to do something fun rather than overly serious and chose Lodi partly because of the community and the region’s robust wine appellation; although he worked on the Oxford menus, he will not be in the kitchen daily and prefers to be credited as co-owner and founder rather than executive chef." - Lauren Saria
