"The best thing about The Parlor on Melrose is simply how many TVs there are inside. Turn your head in any direction and you’re bound to catch whatever game is most interesting at the moment. Saturdays get pretty rowdy here during college football season (especially if you’re a Michigan fan), but there’s a big courtyard separating the two bar areas in case you need some fresh air. When it comes time to soak up all those early morning beers, there’s a brunch menu filled with solid dishes like chilaquiles, breakfast tacos, and biscuits and gravy." - Nikko Duren

Ordered the breakfast corned beef hash for $21 and it came came out of the kitchen like a bowl of stew with cubed (canned?) corned beef. The server took it back and replaced it with a $21 bacon burger…thin patty, no flavor, over cooked and some kind of relish goo and white velveta-ish cheese…the waffle fries were ok. Chicken sandwich looked and tasted like it was cooked in old oil. We were charged a 5% “service charge” and the server couldn’t explain why. Jameson is $400 a bottle and Coronas are $9. Pros are big screens and a good place to watch a game, but eat elsewhere. Two stars are for the TVs and the fact that the server swapped out my meal.

I went in a Saturday night and it was not too busy. They only had one server working so service was a little slow. The cocktails were on the sweeter side so I ended up drinking beer the rest of the night. The pizza however, was really well made. I'd come back to visit this place for the pizza alone. They also have huge projectors and TV's. It's a great place to come watch the game and grab a beer.

Loved the place! Very charming, and you felt like home watching sports but with a bar included! The vibe is amazing and the personnel was fabulous! Worth visiting! Plus amazing chicken wings 👌

Football Sunday: Trendiest/hipster-est sports bar I think I've ever been to. Great for Ravens games, but really busy. After our initial server was cut, we never managed to flag down another server, but going to the bar for a pitcher was fine. Bar bites were good, but I'd say unless you're there to watch the Ravens, focus on watching the people.

It was okay. - For food, ordered the tenders, which were alright. However the quesadilla order looked sad. Lol I mean, Browning guac paired with pico de Gallo that was more onion than anything, with unripe tomato. :( The food choices def don't stick out. Nothing special. Everything is just average. I guess you're there for the drinks and games, and not food right? so joke's on me. Meh. -As for the place, it was fine, but the crowd that night was drowning in sweat. This was the main room, not the side bar. Don't know if ac was broken, or what but no windows were opened. Some other customer opened the windows by climbing on the couch to unlock it. Don't know if that was allowed but, staff didn't do anything about the uncomfortable temperature beforehand. -The Drinks were your average "Hollywood-area" prices, so no complaints there. The usual. -The staff was nice though. Attentive to our group. All good. All in all, place is okay. I wouldn't go back on my own, not unless I was invited there for something. :\

About thirty items on their food menu. Happy hour available Mon-Fri just not on game days.

Rude door guy and I'm never gonna come here or get a group to come here ever again since he was so incredibly terrible at his job and to each person standing outside. He just kept saying and yelling, "we're at capacity," "we're at capacity," over and over again, or the famous line, "I'm just doing my job!" Food for thought:: Many people are doing their job and do it with class and grace. He didn't listen to anyone or care or treat those who wanted to come in as human. One, people are here for the game. And I understand you may be at capacity but when people are leaving, he could just as easily ask if they were coming back in and/or release more people to go inside. THAT'S doing your job and that is how capacity works. Two:: He had a clicker in his hand, to do what?! Count the imaginary people you weren't letting in?! And if the space was way too full, then, again, you weren't doing your job. That's your fault and we are all wanting to come in and spend our hard earned cash. Door guys can be cool and interact in a rad way. This didn't happen. You want people to either wait or come back again at a later date by being cool:: that didn't happen either. It was only me and now my party (who had been there since 11 am) chose to leave as well. He was only letting people in after the game was over apparently even though many people were leaving at 3rd quarter. Are you crazy?! There's gonna be 3 people in there when the game ends and then you won't have anyone to ignore or be rude to at that point. Sorry, The Parlor, I've visited you many times for events, sports viewings, and birthdays but I will make sure everyone knows I boycott this joint until they decide they want to hire compassionate, rad, open, and kind peeps. Peace out.

Second time visiting least weekend to watch the NBA playoffs along with fellow expat Blazers fans. Had a great time.
