The 14 Best Austin Airport Restaurants: Where to Eat at ABIA

"We love the Korean steak tacos at The Peached Tortilla’s original location, and their airport outpost lets us linger on those sweet, spicy, and savory bulgogi flavors until right before it’s time to take off. Of course, you can also get Chinese BBQ chicken, brisket, and cauliflower as tacos or a rice bowl. ABIA has pretty good food by airport standards to begin with, and The Peached Tortilla is right up there near the top.  Located near Gate 16 " - nicolai mccrary

I’d say a very fair amount of food for the price of the bowl, well priced for airport food! I was quickly greeted by Lee who took my order and was kind and patient when I took out my card too fast to pay. I observed he was very kind and patient and helpful to other customers asking questions about the food and placing orders. Food even looked pretty like the pictures! Very nice to have polite and quick service in an airport (thanks Samuel, Martin, Lee, and Charles)!

Peached Tortilla is the sister restaurant to Bar Beached, a highly regarded restaurant in Austin.  For airport food it was really good.  We had the Bahn Mi Bowl (with tender pork belly, pickled slaw, sticky rice and chinese BBQ sauce) and Parmesan Fries.  Both were good portion sizes and very delicious. Service was fast.  See pictures and leave feedback if it looks good!

Google
Yum, yum, delicioso! An airport employee recommended this food option and I am so grateful for the tasty recommendation. I had two tacos, Korean and chicken and they were just right. So much flavor and just the right amount of food. I also got the truffle fries and they were so good. I would definitely make another stop in Austin just to try more food options and return to The Peached Tortilla. Staff was really nice and let me sit near the bar so I could charge my phone.

Passing through Austin airport? If you're flying out in the morning, do yourself a favor—skip the long Starbucks line and grab a brisket and egg breakfast taco instead. It’s the perfect way to start your day Texas-style. You won’t be disappointed.

One of my simple pleasures in life is being pleasantly surprised by airport food. Nothing like having your expectations exceeded when they are low. You gotta live life being grateful for small wins, otherwise it can get dark out here. I was flying back to NY after a 4 day company retreat in Austin, and wanted to get one last brisket based meal before leaving the great state of Texas. I went with the BBQ Brisket bowl ($15.39) with extra brisket because I'm BEAST. The lady at the counter was not in the best mood, but I feel her. Not gonna knock her for that. I don't expect white glove service at the Peached Tortilla in the Austin airport. You could see them cooking the meat on the grill right in front of you, which gave life to my eternal optimism. I was expecting some microwaved brisket tbh. This bowl was a pretty solid portion size and the brisket wasn't half bad. At least for my tastebuds. This is the poster child for 3.5 stars, but I'mma round up to 4. These Yelp/Google ratings should really be out of 10, but that's a conversation for another day. IG @jnov_ Tiktok @jnov_reviews

Google
Didn't mind paying the inflated airport prices to dine here. Had the Korean and bahn mi tacos which were very flavorful. No skimping on the meat. Also had the burger which was nice and juicy with all the fixings. Fries were hot and seasoned with salt and Parmesan cheese. Not the biggest portions but did keep us satisfied through a 4 hour flight. Definitely recommend.

Google
We got 2 bowls here and they were delicious! A healthy break from some other airport and hotel foods we have eaten while traveling. The people working here were kind and helpful. I Liked the steak bowl with arugula. My husband got the chicken bowl with rice. I would eat here again!

Google
Add the habañero sauce for the sweet+spicy+savory combo *chef's kiss*. Brussel sprouts "side" came in a big bowl, good but a bit too oily. Overall, best airport food I can remember.

Yelp
My go-to restaurant at the airport! I got the Korean steak tacos and omg, they were so good!! The amount of meat was very generous and it was seasoned to deliciousness. It seems healthy too with the addition of the arugula and pickled onions. Also, you can't beat the price of their tacos. 2 for $11 is amazing, hope they never raise the price! They've got to-go boxes, bags, utensils, and even sauce containers if you wish. Their line is always pretty short and the wait for the food is 5-10min. Plenty of tables near the restaurant.

Yelp
Had high hopes for this place since they have other locations in Austin proper, but unfortunately this airport location is pretty lacking in flavor and portion size. High prices as you come to expect for airport fare, but overall disappointed in the garlic fries which felt bland and dry. The brisket tacos were ok but small and the tortillas dry and stale tasting. Not sure if the other nearby airport spots have better offerings (considering they probably can't smoke their BBQ the way they do in their regular restaurants) but just be prepared that it's far from the same food you'd get from outside the airport. Servers are OK but a bit short and brisk. Would probably not try again.

Yelp
Super solid for an airport quick service restaurant! It was close to the departing gate so we thought to grab some food during our layover. We got the Korean Bowl and Brussel sprouts and that was enough for two people! The Brussel sprouts was a very generous poriton, but a tad too salty for me. The bowl was pretty good, but thought the rice to meat portion was a bit imbalanced as there was way too much rice. But eating it with the Brussel sprout bowl worked out well! Food was called out quickly and service was fast and friendly! There are a few tables in front as well as additonal seating closer to the airline gates.

Yelp
The restaurant is on a busy road with some parking spots in the back. Parking can be tight & limited im this area if during busy hours. However inside was cozy clean & great service. Service was efficient and very good . The regular week days menu looked more interesting but we were at weekend so the brunch menu was rather limited. All the food were tasty fusion interpretations of various cultures but we liked them .

Yelp
Fantastic, as far as airport food goes... Great options, lots of flavor, really good hot sauce!!
google avatar

Chelsea L.

Yelp
Disappointed! I've had peached tortilla before (not at the airport) and thought it was good. But here, we got one of each taco and they were all just ok. The best out of them was actually the vegetarian one. The pork belly was not what I expected. It was pulled pork? Wouldn't go back, but if you had to eat at the airport, they're open early for breakfast and seem to be relatively affordable for airport prices.
google avatar

Yelp
This was a neat little place tucked in a corner of the Austin, TX airport. They had a cool variety of tacos and I opted for the Bahn Mi and the Brisket tacos. Both had the protein completely overpowered by the other ingredients. They were good, but a little watery. I'd probably stop here again as the tacos are a good snack size if you're not looking for a meal. The food came out quick and you can purchase stuff from the market area around the counter (i.e. bottle of fizzy soda pop) at the Peached Tortilla counter which was convenient.
google avatar

Yelp
Best vegan food option in the airport! The staff were super friendly and the food was great value for price. I really enjoyed the cauliflower bowl and clearly marked vegan modifications.

Yelp
Got the Korean Steak tacos, which were pretty sizable (2 for $11). The flavor was pretty good but the tacos were swimming in some kind of juice - had to sop it up with a napkin to not spill on myself in the airport. Service time was reasonable to get my food, not quick/not slow. Definitely somewhere to get a semi-healthy option if you're looking for that
google avatar

Ellie N.

Yelp
$11 for 2 big tacos at the airport, and it tastes decent. This is probably the best food stall at this airport.
google avatar

Bhagyashree B.

Yelp
The staff seemed completely zoned out while taking and preparing my order. Can't do that when you're working at a busy airport location! You can't really go wrong with fries but these didn't seem fresh. The cauliflower bowl was ok, too much white rice and very little roasted cauliflower/greens.
google avatar

Chris V.

Yelp
For usually overpriced, airport food this was pretty solid. Belgian fries were good and the tacos (BBQ Brisket, Korean Steak) were flavorful. I think it's worth checking out in between layovers or before a flight.
google avatar

Joseph Y.

Yelp
20 minutes wait for cold tacos. While the other locations are consistently good, this location consistently disappoints.
google avatar

Nikki M.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the drinks were very refreshing. Service was good and the food was and out fast and hot. I loved Mom's toast with the gochuchang chili sauce. There is parking in the back and it's a casual dining setting. The Lush Pork Belly bowl was absolutely amazing!
google avatar

Amber G.

Yelp
Another yummy success! Can't wait to try the Korean steak. Definitely the best spot in the Austin airport.
google avatar

Ruby C.

Yelp
Super excited to see them at the airport. Two tacos for $11, very affordable. Fast service. But the tortillas tasted like they were taken right off the grocery store shelf and the fillings were mediocre. Although very generous portions. Pictured: banh mi and brisket taco.
google avatar

Chloe F.

Yelp
A great option for fast airport food, even if you just want to take it to go and eat at your gate. Fast, fresh and the staff were very knowledgeable and accommodating with dietary restrictions. Would definitely go again.
google avatar

Veronica Y.

Yelp
This is a review for the pork belly breakfast taco. Very solid breakfast option at the airport. Just under $6 for a filling, tasty breakfast taco. Egg was not made fresh to order but whatever, the airport needs to be fast. The avocado was reasonably generous and perfectly ripe. And it's a generous helping of pork too. The meat was juicy and decently flavored. Read slightly more like pulled pork than like pork belly (ie. not very fatty, which may be a good thing to some people). They have yellowbird hot sauce if you choose.
google avatar

Yelp
Stopped here for a quick dinner before a flight out of the Austin airport. Out of all the airport restaurants this one had the best reviews. This place is tucked in a little corner with a few other places in a food court area. The service was very fine and it's order at the counter and wait for your food. I didn't have to wait too long. I ordered the Brussels sprouts and they were hot and fresh and cooked to order. They were full of different flavors with the bacon jam, lemon oil and Parmesan cheese. Such a good and elevated set of flavors for a quick fast food spot. They were really delicious. I know they have tacos as well and I might try that the next time I'm in Austin!
google avatar

Keith R.

Yelp
WOW FACTOR? Austin airport has a great variety of food sources and overall has the lowest prices of any airport I've been to in years! I checked out all of the restaurants and decided The Peached Tortilla was the most interesting one. Glad I did. HAVE AGAIN: The brisket taco and Korean steak taco were full of meat are really good. NOT HAVE AGAIN: The Belgian fries were good, but the peach BBQ did not have much of a peach flavor.
google avatar

chelsea d.

Yelp
Guy with glasses and pony tail mocked me for being vegan. Not sure how the food is, looks ok. Fries were fine, tacos were kinda weird but my kids liked them. I also got the Middle East feast at juiceland in the little food court area and that was reeeeally good. Go there instead
google avatar

Javier B.

Yelp
This is my favorite food at the Austin Airport. It is a very fast service and always delicious. No too big and a limited menu but since what I love is their tacos I don't need anything else. I had the pork belly Asian and the brisket one. Fantastic! I could have easily have another two! ...I didn't, they are reasonable size!
google avatar

Virginia J.

Yelp
Airport Vegan option better than it has to be! After looking at a variety of combinations of tortilla, refried bean, and potato available at ATX, I stopped in at the Peached Tortilla and had two soft tacos of battered cauliflower, arugula, shredded watermelon radish and creamy tofu sriracha sauce and was not just surprised but amazed at how good it was! Warm. Nourishing, and reasonably priced. Recommend!
google avatar

Shamie D.

Yelp
Pricey, but good options for Asian inspired tacos. Loved the Bahn Mi. Located on the Left airside. Service was a little slow but kind!
google avatar

Aparna B.

Yelp
Pretty good taco! They have a cauliflower option for vegetarian and instead of spiced mayo if you want it to be vegan they have a sriracha tofu sauce. This taco was good! The sauces were spicy and delicious too. Friendly service and huge space since it was the airport location. I appreciate that even the fries could be made vegan.

Johnny M.

Yelp
Food is really good!!! I usually eat at ABIA and this is one of my favorite spots! The Ban Mi bowl is my go to but I've tried the other bowls and you can't go wrong with any of them!
google avatar

Katherine K.

Yelp
Can't speak for their other locations, but their airport location was very disappointing! I got a Chinese BBQ Chicken taco and a Korean Steak taco. The chicken taco had no flavor to it, but I really enjoyed the fillings of the Korean steak taco. However, for both tacos, these were the worst tortillas I have ever been served! Half the tortilla was as hard as a rock and inedible. It's pretty obvious they served me old tortillas that had been sitting under a heatlamp for gawd knows how long. You can't charge someone over $5 for a single taco and give them a tortilla like that.
google avatar

Steve F.

Yelp
I was there February 13th, '24 at about 5:30pm. I order Banh Mi tacos. They were so full of grease I could not eat them. In the cardboard container they came in there was about an 1/8" of grease drained from the two tacos. It was gross and a waste of money! AND.....I gave a 10% tip for nothing. Walk about 30' towards Gate 21 and eat at Earl Campbell tacos and enjoy good food and a live band!

Michael H.

Yelp
Banh Mi was very flavorful and good. Definitely worth it!! The brisket taco was pretty flat in flavor and was a let down so I had to take a star away. Service was good.
google avatar

Robert M.

Yelp
One of my favorite Austin airport food stands! And Austin is known for great local food. The staff are super nice and engaged. Always a sign of a well managed team. The food is superb!! Today I went for the Korean steak and egg breakfast taco in corn tortillas. The taste was sublime and while the cost was high (it is an airport with monopoly pricing anyway) the portion was huge and I thought it was a value. Super quick, super nice, super tasty. What else is there.
google avatar

Angela W.

Yelp
This was an alright place for airplane food during my looooong layover in Austin. I think the concept was unique but execution was shaky. I got their smoked beef brisket bowl with rice. Service was really friendly and quick. The first thing I noticed was that the rice was super mushy. This was probably because I came later in the evening, but it was still a bummer regardless. The bowl was $13.50ish, which seemed surprisingly reasonable for airplane food until I realized that the portions of brisket and avocado were tiny. There was far too much rice for the amount of toppings. There were also coleslaw and pickled onions in my bowl. The coleslaw and rice were weird together, personally. The onions were nice and crisp but also tasted a bit fruity (maybe that's where this restaurant gets it's name?). It wasn't my favorite flavor (tasted a bit like dish soap) but I appreciate that they tried something new. The bowl, due to its high rice to toppings ratio, was rather bland. My saving grace was a bottle of Texan habanero sauce I found near the utensils. It was super tasty and actually really spicy. I wish I knew where to buy a bottle for myself! The bowls are a definite skip for me, but I might try the tacos next time, should I find myself delayed in Austin again.
google avatar

Leah O.

Yelp
Great airport food spot!! There's plenty of seating in the area and I felt like prices weren't insane, better than jfk options like a sad $12 sandwich. The portions were a great size and I loved my bbq bowl. I liked the apple slices in the slaw! Highly recommend if you need some dinner or a lunch before your flight.
google avatar

Pam S.

Yelp
Since I knew I would have a bit of a layover in Austin I did my research (here on Yelp) for restaurants in the Terminal. This one just happened to be near the gate that we disembarked from. Service was friendly and the seating in this area has electrical outlets for your computers or phones. The tacos I had were good but that Korean Steak... OOOOOoooo Weee it was HOT! Respectfully Reviewed
google avatar

Lena H.

Yelp
The banh mi bowl is soooo good, I loved the pickled veggies served with it. The pork belly was very juicy and tender. The only think I didn't like was that the rice was overly soft so it comes off a little mushy. The 2 times I'm rated here the rice had the same texture.
google avatar

Ryan H.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! The portions are good size, the flavor is good and overall just a great value. I had the Korean Steak and the Bahn Mi tacos and both were good. I would say the Bahn Mi was better for my taste. Definitely can't go wrong coming here. The only issue I experienced was the staff. They just seemed unhappy to be there. Not a big deal though.
google avatar

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Not good. Ordered the Korean steak bowl. It was more like ground beef than steak, lacked flavor and brightness. It was essentially some ground beef with rice and arugula. Do not recommend.
google avatar

Elsie T.

Yelp
Oh man, this was tough. Not sure if it's just my personal taste buds, but the pork belly, egg, and avocado taco was underwhelming. They egg tasted heated up and the tortillas felt microwaved. I'm sure it tastes great fresh, but not my cup of tea. The flavors just didn't mesh.
google avatar

Amanda F.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped in for a quick breakfast. I got the vegan tacos that can also be made gluten free. Staff was unsure if the tofu had dairy so I skipped it. I would have appreciated better knowledge of the food to meet my dietary needs. Heading on a flight so will find out soon enough if I consumed dairy or gluten. Overall the tacos were delicious so I recommend. My husband for the brisket tacos and he enjoyed them. They had yellow bird sauce which was enjoyed because spicier the better. You can get coffee here and I recommend the pecan flavor. Overall your typical airport prices and a great place for tacos
google avatar

Johnny L.

Yelp
Feeling hungry, got time to kill and saw the great reviews for Peached Tortilla. I got the Korean steak bowl and it comes with white rice, arugula, red pickled onions, steak, avocado and some kind of cheese I couldn't identify. Maybe it's crumbled blue cheese. The portion size is definitely generous with plenty of steak. All the ingredients taste fresh and the steak has a zesty and mild spiciness that's just comforting to my taste buds. I asked for the sauce to be on the side instead since I had a feeling the meat was saucy enough. Indeed it was and I barely touched the sauce because the bowl was delicious without it already. My only nit pick about this is that I think some kimchi would really complete this meal. The lady at the front was so courteous and nice. Got my food in about 5 minutes. I'd definitely come back here!
google avatar

Benny H.

Yelp
Easily my all time favorite airport food spot. Hard to call it a restaurant as it's just counter service but holy shit that place is a gem! After arriving to the airport after a wedding and on the way home back to phx, of course I hopped on Yelp inside the airport to check out what's good. The reviews speak for themselves. I started with both the brisket taco and the pork belly... life-changing breakfast tacos! Can't speak for the lunch, but these were the best breakfast tacos, and maybe best tacos overall, that I've ever had. Had to go back for a third, wasn't even hungry. Could not recommend more! Will be back if I'm ever in the airport in Austin.
google avatar

Brian W.

Yelp
Hey, it's airport food, and for airport food, you can't really do much better. Waiting for a flight around lunch time, I stopped in and got the two tacos. Expensive, yeah - but again (do I really need to say it?) - you are in an airport. Service was unimpressive but quick, and the tacos were good, with pretty generous portions. I got the BBQ brisket taco and the Korean steak taco. The brisket was just ok (still better than your average HMS Dining Whatever). The Korean steak, though, was downright awesome. So great. The Austin ABIA stickler for "local" places kind of bugs me. I would definitely rather support great local places, but it seems like ABIA does it at the expense of a variety of good, fast food choices (like, what is that chicken sandwich place? Had it once - not good). Peached Tortilla, however, is a wonderful example of local and awesome. Do it.

Yelp
The Peached Tortilla is a small restaurant stuck among other restaurants that are tucked opposite Gates 16 and 17. Due to the small size, there aren't a ton of places to sit inside and so most likely you have to go to the outside tables. The staff was super friendly and they helped me pick out what I wanted. When I asked for additional Peach BBQ dipping sauce, I was given it with a smile. I like the people who work there and they made me feel like I mattered. My order was made fairly quickly too, and I was impressed with the service speed. I ordered the Belgian Fries and the Bahn Mi bowl. The Belgian Fries are easily the best bargain meal in this airport! There was a large quantity of fries given to me, and it would have easily been enough for two people to share. The fries were crispy and hot and made to order. While I didn't care for the parmesan cheese on them, that was more me than anything. The Peach BBQ sauce though? Amazing. I want them to bottle it up and sell it. You can really taste the peach flavor in it, and the sauce is appropriately thick. This tasted like a real BBQ sauce that you would find at a real BBQ smokehouse, not at a fusion restaurant. The Bahn Mi Bowl had a large quantity of food that also filled me. I got the Bahn Mi bowl over jasmine rice, and I added in avocado for 1.50 USD more. The bowl tasted amazing, if not at all spicy. It was a solid meal though, and you could really taste the pickled veggies. The sriracha mayo and Chinese BBQ tasted amazing too, but didn't have much heat at all to it. The real question is: Would I eat here again? The answer is. unequivocally, yes. I want to try more of the bowls that they offer and I unfortunately was so stuffed that I couldn't eat more food. If you're in Austin and you have 30 minutes, come to Peaches Tortilla to eat. You won't regret it!

Yelp
Excellent service and good beer on draft but the sauce ruined the brisket tacos. I should've ordered no sauce.
google avatar

Sunil R.

Yelp
As far as airport restaurants go, this place is in the upper quartile. The Asian chicken bowl with the salad base was very good. Healthy and tasty. The ladies who work here were in good spirits and were laughing and having a good time which I believe translates to better service and food. They were busy and the food took around 15 minutes.
google avatar

Jae P.

Yelp
Nothing special despite the exciting and creative Asian-inspired Mexican dishes offered on the menu. The price is a bit steep for the quality of food / portion size, but it is fine for a quick bite before the flight. I'm sure that the real dine-in restaurant in Austin does the name justice, but I'd choose something with a better portion size / price before landing upon here at AUS.
google avatar

Melissa L.

Yelp
For airport food I was actually very impressed. The ingredients were super fresh. I ordered the BBQ chicken bowl and the Korean steak bowl. Both bowls had a LOT of rice and I wish they had given a better portion of meat. The BBQ chicken was super good. Wonderful flavor and the cabbage slaw matched it well. The Korean Steak was super disappointing. First of all, just looking at it something was off. It looked stewed not BBQ/grilled. I could not even tell what kind of meat it was. The flavor was super weird almost like from a low low quality Chipotle. The arugula was not dressed so it was just plain. Very unimpressive. If I had just gotten the BBQ chicken this would have been a 4 star. But the Korean steak was so bad and again ratio between rice and meat was too much of a difference. However again if I had to choose between other airport food I would still come back.
google avatar

Kristen L.

Yelp
The airport Peaches Tortilla is on the higher end of airport food! They serve hot, fresh tacos that come out really quickly. The staff was also very friendly. The tacos were solid, but a little bit bland, which really surprised me for how many ingredients they had. I think the flavor could have been better. They only had four taco options on the menu and were out (at 8:30am) of pork already, which was also disappointing. It was interesting enough that I would try it again.
google avatar

Lauren R.

Yelp
The cauliflower bowl was very small and basic for $18! I added avocado and got it w/ half arugula and half rice. It was so so so salty, which is a horrible before flying for a few hours. Do not recommend this place of all the ones you can eat from at AUS.
