Korean Fried Chicken to Try This Weekend - Eater Denver

"Seemingly off the beaten path, this City Park haunt appears small and simple, but serves sophisticated plates and preparations of French and Italian food with locally sourced ingredients. Great for a date, wonderful for a solo culinary adventure, or group gathering, consider the kung pao carrots and “fairytale” eggplant to start followed by the pork ossobuco with house sauerkraut – before the menu quickly changes with the next batch of creations." - Gigi Sukin

Plimoth is truly an excellent restaraunt. Literally everything ordered is of extremely high quality, and it is boosted with exceptional and warm service. Truly a top restaurant and one of the best experiences you can get in Denver. Highly recommend the Halibut, Chicken, feta dip, and calamari. Finish off with any dessert with coffee.

Zeid Bitar

Google
Wow wow wow. The food here is to die for. The whipped feta and calamari appetizer were exceptional. The halibut was out of this world. The vegetables were cooked perfectly and had so much flavor. Honestly the best meal I had in Denver. Would definitely be back!

Some of the best fine dining food you’ll get in Denver. Rotating menu of creative dishes that all strike the perfect balance of classic French cuisine with diverse flavors.

Google
I recently had dinner with friends on the patio. Great atmosphere and the food was fresh, beautifully prepared and delicious! The service was excellent! The kitchen was very accommodating of my need for gluten free and (cow) dairy free options. We were there for their Rosé fest and I had a delicious sparkling Rosé with my pork tenderloin. Plus they always have a tasty mocktail on the menu. The prices are in line with what I expect for good food in Denver, but not outrageous. The menu changes as fresh ingredients are available, which is fun for me. I highly recommend!

Google
We had a group of four and shared everything. Which was all amazing. So very fresh and well crafted. We'll be going back.

Google
Ah, the atmosphere and the service! Phenomenal! Everyone that we interacted with was friendly, smiling, easy going, very enjoyable! The recommendations for the drinks was right on the money! I enjoyed the champagne as we sat down! The place tends to fill up quickly so reservations are highly recommended! Street parking along - just watch out for the signs. The menu changes often so I am sure next time I would find something else I love! We tried a few appetizers and I loved the tagliatelle pasta. The bread with butter and apple butter was delicious! The entree was good - we got the fish specialty dish (catfish?) But what I was blown away by was the dessert! There is a creme, a chocolate creme with white topping and some crunchies on top that is just beyond amazing! I can fly into Denver just to go have that dessert again! Definitely on my list to visit often! From the people who work there, the ambiance to the food - I am super happy and delighted!

Google
I’d give it 6 stars if I could—one of the best meals I’ve had in Denver, with phenomenal portion sizes, too.

Parker Allen

Google
The food is super fresh, cooked with great technique and functions on a monthly rotation. The starters or smaller dishes change often while the mains change about every month. The service might be the best part with great people all around. You can tell it is a great working environment with happy staff. We had attentive waitstaff(Tina & Megan) are awesome and very energetic. Mathew the bartender and Danny are great personalities. Daniel and “Sweet Lou” work the cold kitchen and are very nice. Overall the atmosphere is comfortable and modern. Favorite dishes were the cornbread, salmon tartare and the deserts. Cornbread is nice and flakey, salmon is super fresh just flown in and the deserts are executed well.

Yelp
Absolutely a delight! Dishes were delicious and creative. The salsas were excellent and the tacos a real standout. Great margaritas too! Excellent service too!

Yelp
Holy cow. This place is the best place to treat yourself or someone you love! Everything was perfect from start to finish. Greeted with sparkling wine as we were celebrating a birthday, seated with the kindest staff, and LOVED the vibes. The food? Y'all. I cannot even. It was so hard to pick, but we went two veggie-forward apps and two mains and it was plenty for the two of us. The menu changes often as the food is chosen fresh at the farmer's market twice a week, but honestly I can't imagine a bad bite here. Definitely worth it! Side note - my wife is allergic to nuts and they brought out a special menu with all nuts highlighted and were able to make a meal special for her without nuts. Truly makes a world of difference! Thanks, all!

Yelp
Amazing staff and even better food!! Highly recommend even if you aren't in the area, also get the chicken, YUM

Yelp
We've walked past this place so many times and never gone in. Then, last weekend, we had the rare opportunity of leaving baby with the grands and going on a date. So we sat next to each other at the bar, like we always used to do on dates. I know that the Plimoth buys produce from a lot of the local farmers I've met at the City Park Farmers Market. So I was hoping they'd be able to make me something vegan with all those gorgeous fresh fruits and veggies. If not, I would settle for a fancy drink. What I did not know is that there's a secret vegan menu! The bartender told us that all you have to do is tell the hostess you're vegan, and they will highlight all the vegan options for you. When my vegan-adapted menu arrived, there was a big X through the entree section and the words "Vegan Main" written in. Of course I ordered the Vegan Main. It was fabulous. It was like a giant warm salad with roasted bok choy and cabbage, baby greens, tomatoes, radishes and fresh herbs, with crisped lotus root slices to garnish, and a fermented bean teriyaki sauce. I ate every bit of it. Slowly, while sipping on a Patio Spritz. I love the farm-to-table concept and the fact that there's a fancy place to get a vegan dinner within walking distance.

Yelp
This was a really nice meal with great service. It's a nice location and a space that feels intimate without being crowded. Our waiter's recommendations were perfect. The food was good, but not outstanding, and some was a little one-note (just rich or just creamy). The menu changes frequently, and it would be worth a look to see if the dishes appeal. We enjoyed it, but given that we don't eat out often or venture into downtown, we probably wouldn't repeat the experience.

Yelp
We visited Denver from Los Angeles for Beer Fest 2022, and a local friend recommended the Plimoth. It was the best meal we had in Denver - we had an incredible experience. The place is upscale and trendy, perfect for a date night. The menus - from drinks to desserts - were innovative and appropriately seasonal, and everything we tried was amazing. We started with cocktails and an appetizer: a coconut margarita, "penicillin" whiskey drink, and crispy pork belly with stone fruit BBQ sauce. For our entrée, we both chose the steak with red wine sauce and interesting accoutrements- blue cheese, pears, cherries, farro. The steak was perfectly cooked and the unusual additions complemented well. We had local beers with our mains. The menu seems to rotate frequently, but this is the kind of place where I'd want to try something new on every visit anyway. If any of my L.A. friends or people in my foodie Facebook groups were to ask for dinner recommendations in Denver, I'll tell them Plimoth is a must-try when in town.

Yelp
The restaurant is located in a neighborhood. I love the location as parking is easy to find, safe, and it's quiet. It's a cute and intimate space, perfect for a date night. The service was wonderful. They were attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. We ordered the steak and scallops, the food was fresh, flavorful, and full-filling in every bite. I can't wait to go back!

Yelp
I went with a group of 6 for dinner and had a lovely time. It's a cute space, but small and it got packed, so make reservations. I got the chicken which was bone in (not my favorite), but really good. My friend got a ravioli dish which I tried and it was delish. Our service was a little slow though. They did separate checks for us which I appreciated.

Yelp
We were given a gift card about 2 years ago for The Plimoth and we finally went with friends last night for dinner. Why did we wait this long on going here ? The food and service were amazing. You can tell the chefs cared what they put out as well as the bartenders. We split 3 shareable apps. The asparagus, the arugula and kale salad, and the Pork & Garlic Quiche. All were good but I could have devoured the quiche all by myself. My husband got the asparagus and potato soup. This was unbelievable! I never thought asparagus would be good in a soup and its lick the bowl clean good. Would love to have their recipe for this. For dinner I had the Pork Jägerschnitzel. The flakiness of the crust and the tenderness of the pork was incredible. The lentil and pea trio complimented the pork perfectly. My husband had the lamb and didn't leaving anything left on his plate. Our friends got the halibut and the schnitzel and all enjoyed their meals. We all said we would definitely go back. Would recommend reservations for sure on the weekends and most likely during the week as well. In the summer they have a nice patio and would be nice to enjoy dinner el fresco. Kudos to The Plimoth on a job well done.

Yelp
This place is definitely on the pricey side, for example, a well vodka was $10. But the service was great, it is a beautiful atmosphere inside, and the food was really good. It's probably a place I would not return to again, unless I won the lottery.

Yelp
One of the best restaurants in Denver, with seasonal menus that are creative year round. The service is wonderful, and the food is top notch. This is one of the few places where I'm regularly blown away by what they do with simple ingredients - melons, for example. They use fresh local ingredients and do just enough to bring it to the next level. 100% recommended! Parking is usually not hard to find within a block or so (very residential area).

Yelp
A true 3.5 stars rounded up cuz your a local biz It is always easy for someone behind a computer to criticize a restaurant, a service, or what have you. That being said I found the Plimoth's ideas rather a mish mosh and somewhat confusing. Case in point my Cracklin Chicken came with a cold salad which did not really pair well with the chicken. The matzah ball felt like an after though or maybe it was my years of having such a ball in a chicken soup not on a plate. My appetizer of a Pork Roulette was somewhat flavorless ( not like the shops in Montmarte or St Geramin) But there were some really good dishes as well: The Cauliflower turnip gratinée was a stunning appetizer as was the Butternut squash toast, preserved plum ricotta, fried brussels sprouts....simply goregous and delicious. Service was SPECTACULAR. The staff was friendly, quick, and efficient. They accommodated several of our friends dishes to withhold certain items and basically redid the dishes....that is pretty special service. Great Wine list with prices for every wallet. Wonderful bar ( any bar that stocks the Buffalo Trace line is aces in my book) Would I come back? Hell yes as the setting and service were fantastic and I would try something new on the menu!

Yelp
Amazing food and drinks and service. The menu went great with the fall season. We were a little hesitant to order the duck, we hadn't had it in many years, but we did and it was amazing! Highly recommend!

Yelp
Love the food and atmosphere best annivesary dinners thru all the years! Our favorite place for special occasions

Yelp
Dined here a couple of weeks ago and it's definitely a neighborhood gem. The menu changes often but the small plate offerings are plentiful, varied, delicious and well priced to share a bunch. The cocktails were fabulous too. And the service as well! It is small and intimate so the noise level is not optimal...next time, summer on the patio!

Yelp
The pictures on Yelp do not do this place justice. I came here last weekend to kick off my bachelorette party in Denver and we all had an amazing experience here. The restaurant looks pretty unassuming in a quiet neighborhood but don't let that deter you! I am a big fan of farm to table/seasonal dishes and the food here was excellently prepared. Melody helped us and she was a wonderful server - all her recommendations were on point and she was simply superb. A few of us got drinks - the espresso martini in particular looked pretty good. We all got some champagne to start with which was a nice touch. Pretty much every dish we got was excellent, with perfect balances of sweet and savory with good textures. The pork rillette, cast iron cornbread, and peaches were phenomenal. The rillette comes with some crostinis and we were able to get extra crostinis which was nice. For entrees we got both the salmon and the pork chop - both were also amazing. We ended with a chocolate plum cake that was also good. All in all everything was fresh, seasonal, exquisitely prepared, and well priced. I can't recommend this place enough.

Yelp
Yummy sums it up. Came here for date night with my guy & had a great meal from the service, ambiance, drinks, and eats. Couldn't make my mind up on the small plates/starters so I did 2 of them for my meal. Huge fan of the meat pie-something I would never eat at home nor attempt to make. The outer crust was the fluffiest & flaky shell filled with delicious meat sauce. Would highly recommend for a special occasion!

Yelp
Haven't been on date night in awhile and my husband surprised me with this lovely gem of a place. Gordon Ramsey could learn from a place like this and I don't say that lightly! Food is INCREDIBLE!!! The wine selection has so many great choices, and the espresso martinis.... THE ESPRESSO MARTINIS have real coffee, and are to die for. Not to mention they make their Limoncello in house and of course that's amazing too. Our server Megan, was an absolute doll. Very knowledgeable, friendly and even laughed at my very bad jokes. We both cannot wait to eat here again, what a pleasure!

We had a wonderful date night here and can't wait to come back and try all of the other options. Fantastic service, delicious food and drinks.

Yelp
I love farm-to-table concept restaurants and was excited about the French influence. The food just didn't impress and some of the dishes were just a complete miss for me. Also, at 8:30 pm they started cleaning, putting dishes, chairs, and glasses away which was very unprofessional while there were plenty of diners around. They just wanted to get out as soon as possible instead of focusing on the dining experience. The winter citrus was good, but the ricotta was hard and didn't work, it should have been whipped or a mouse to bring it together and be light. The tahini glazed squash was a complete miss, the tahini taste was lost and the dish just fell flat and didn't stand out. I was imagining some Mediterranean flavors but they just didn't come out and the texture was meh. The sweetbreads I was really excited about the, but they were overcooked and lost their tenderness. Also, there was a lot of extra stuff in the dish and not a lot of sweetbreads. The one dish that really flopped for me was the crackling chicken. It was expensive, but there was very little chicken, and it wasn't great overall. The cabbage was unnecessary and the broth was meh. It was a bland and unsatisfying dish overall and not really sharable. Our appetizers were all very quickly delivered but we waited a really long time for the chicken and no one checked in with us, they were busy cleaning and not paying attention. This could be a neighborhood gem but just fell short.

Yelp
A Surprise Gourmet Experience We had an incredible dinner of 5 small plates. The presentations were both beautiful to the taste and the eye. We sat in the romantic garden area on a beautiful summer evening. Our server Claire's descriptions were spot on so we were able to pair and mix and stagger our selections for a simply delightful evening.

Yelp
We had dinner the night of the Billy Joel concert on July 12th. We were greeted warmly when we entered. The waitress asked if we had plans and we let her know that we were going to the concert. She said that she would make sure that we were out in time. 5e wait staff and servers were attentive without making us feel rushed. Food was excellent and the waitress made sure we ordered the right amount for the four of us. The only thing that I would change is some way to baffle the volume as when the restaurant is packed the noise leve can make it hard to have a conversation. Definitely will return.

Yelp
Yesterday's late night dining experience with my daughter at this restaurant was absolutely superb so I must write about it before I forget. If you are looking for a high- end one of a kind restaurant which is not located in any of the busy neighborhoods in the Denver Metro area, then go here! If I go ahead and liken this place to some precious, hard-to-extract metal, it's definitely rhodium is no way an overstatement. Ambiance: The two separate indoor dining areas have ample amount of tables. The bar is pretty nice too but if the weather permits I strongly recommend seating outside. It's a perfect setting for any occasion especially for a date night. Service: Our waitress's knowledge about the menu was impressive. I was indecisive between the French Malbec (Chateau madeleine) and the French Pinot Noir (forgot the name of it) but she kind of sensed I was leaning towards the Malbec; she then described it as full-bodied and yet not so complicated. I went with the Malbec and loved it! Main: This place requires at least 30 minutes to cook any/all entrees so our waitress suggested that we place all of our orders (appetizers and main) at the same time; this is not a place for a quick bite to eat at all. But when our main finally came out, we realized that it was worth the wait. The mashed squash was oven baked so the top part was nicely golden brown and crispy. Call it perfection! And the added chicken was cooked amazingly perfect. The stir fried collard greens were a perfect accompaniment to compliment the entire plate. I will order this plate again if/when I dine here. It was that good. Should I continue to write as to how great the experience was? I certainly can and yet, it's best to go here and dine yourself to enjoy everything I stated in this review. You'll not be disappointed in any way.

Yelp
Had such a fun, romantic, unplanned late dinner at Plimoth last night and it was great. So enjoyable and so safe. You should absolutely put it on your list of places to go even while the scourge of the pandemic is still with us. Was coming home after a performance at Wunderbound (a place you need to go:), and was passing nearby the Plimoth when we decided to see if they could squeeze us in without a reservation. We love Plimoth and it reminds us of Tables in Park Hill. It's got a casual but elegant neighborhood vibe. The servers and front of the house people could not be more welcoming and efficient and the food is always special. Also, turns out they have several outdoor tent-like structures and a few widely spread out tables inside which served to lure us in. We ended up taking one of the inside ones and there wasn't anyone within 10-15 feet of us. Felt safe as could be with the 2 of us at a table for 6. Since we'd a some wine and snacks at the performance before we got there we weren't all that hungry so decided to split an appetizer, a salad and a main course, and share the food and a recommended glass of wine with each course. Excellent. No question about the quality and thought that went into the menu. The only thing that kept it from being a 5 star experience was that while the arugula salad with cactus chips was simply superb, the appetizer (yam tarte with pulled pork, mushrooms, maple syrup and pecans) and the main course (striped sea bass in a rich lentil, carrot, yogurt sauce) were both a bit too complicated for our tastes. Sometimes a slew of ingredients mixed together introduces just too many layers of flavor that don't compliment each other, and while interesting and unlike any dishes we'd previously had we both felt that way about those dishes. However, we finished the dinner off with an incredibly delicious dark chocolate pot de creme with cherries bits and buttery crumbles. Absolutely spectacular . . . and a neat place to add to your list of the best of what Denver has to offer during this viral time. Ciao, and stay safe out there, with only a few more months (I hope) to go . . . David

Yelp
First time eating at The Plimoth and we WILL be back! Megan was our waiter and she was amazing! She was super low key and professional, but friendly and sweet too. She was great with the descriptions and suggestions. The cocktails we ordered were so delicious. A lot of bar tenders don't know how to make a good cocktail, but whoever made our drinks sure did. Everything was well balanced and not too sweet. Our fave was the bourban and peach cocktail. Every dish we ordered was really well done. Cooked well, great flavors and nice presentation. We were told the chef or the manager (can't remember) scours farmers markets and then comes up with the menu. We love this approach!! Keep up the good work every one - can't wait to dine here again.

Yelp
Amazing! I had been wanting to go here for a while now since moving into the neighborhood and I was super impressed. The space is small enough to feel cozy but big enough to accommodate more than just a few tables. Our waiter was super friendly and came ready with recommendations. We were stuck between two wines and he let us try both before making a decision. Great cocktail list (can't wait to come back and try that filthy martini!) and solid wine and beer selection. However, the showcase was absolutely the food. They are farm to table so the menu is ever changing. As someone who likes to mix it up, I love this. We decided to go with a bunch of small plates instead of mains so we could try more of the menu. The star of the show for us was the salmon tartar. It was fresh and citrusy and came with perfectly grilled toasts. Can't wait to come back and try more delicious food!

Yelp
My wife and I booked a reservation here on a Friday night for our anniversary, and really enjoyed it. Everything was wonderful from a service and taste standpoint. The ambiance was great as well - smaller restaurant with open kitchens lend to an authenticity that you don't get at a lot of other places. My only criticism is that the prices were significantly higher than the online menu, so while we were expecting $25-$35 per entrée, it ended up more like $45. The portions are smaller as well, so on their recommendation we each got a small plate and a big plate (two of each) and shared. That pushed the meal to about $60 per person without cocktails... I guess high costs are in line with everything else happening since November 2020. All in all, great spot. A farm to table rotating menu ensures something new to try upon your next visit.

Yelp
Blah - that is my review, but I will expand. Nothing on the menu was earth shattering and nothing I ate was earth shattering. The staff were on point per usual. The menu was uninspiring. You can tell me all day long how it represents what Colorado has to offer, blah, blah ... but you got to entice me and you got to walk the walk. So here we go ... I had a dirty martini with Plymouth gin and it was perfection. I ordered the beet app which had no taste or what taste it had was not good. Then the rillette and it was not good. My daughter had the NY strip which came with a spinach and apple salad - oh hum. The steak was super fatty and the end. Oh my gosh what happen to you guys? For me, I am tapping out, but for those who are along for the ride, enjoy.

Jon F.

Yelp
always great food and we love sitting out on their patio. We were welcomed with an anniversary glass of champagne.
google avatar

Michael H.

Yelp
We had a nice anniversary dinner here. Service was excellent, atmosphere quite good, food was a touch disappointing. The crackling chicken was't as wonderful as last time. I think it was cooked sous vide and then the skin was crisped with a torch or broiler. Could have used a little more crackle! Also the suggestion to pair Fernet after dinner drink with dessert missed the mark. But it is still a fine restaurant, and we will likely return.

Yelp
Oh. Em. Gee. Like whoa. This place is BOMB DOT COM. I brought the man in for a celebratory dinner and we ordered everything we desired. And everything we desired was super mega delicious. We ordered the Cheesy Farotto, Cauliflower turnip gratinee, Pork tenderloin, and Chicken! The Cauliflower turnip gratinee was my favorite! The cheese melted everything together and the mushroom was so flavorful! I love crostini and it was the perfect vehicle for this tantalizing appetizer. YUM. Honestly thinking about this dish is making my mouth water. The Cheesy Farotto was also very very yummy. The pork belly was cooked perfectly! Crispy on the edges and tender on the inside. The pork tenderloin was ALSO cooked perfectly. I really loved the cabbage and polenta on the side. The chicken was fantastic as well. Of course it was cooked perfectly just like EVERYTHING this place makes! The chicken had this perfect crispy skin with a moist and juicy inside. The potato side on the dish was also sooo effing good. I don't know what it was but it made the dish even more fabulous. Honestly I don't know how to tell you how good this place is in words! Just go try it! I would 100% recommend this restaurant to anyone and I am ready to go back, like, tomorrow. However, we are practicing social distancing so I'm being responsible. When it's time for you to go eat out again, go to The Plimoth!

Yelp
Beyond amazing! This neighborhood restaurant is so welcoming and charming. The service we received was impeccable. The cocktails are creative and elevated. I had the basil gimlet and it was so fresh and herbal. We shared the Irish Stew hand pie as a starter, it tasted like old world memories, not a drip of gravy was left on the plate. I had the seared swordfish for my entree, it was incredible. My husband had the oxtail, it was so tender, it just melted off the bone. The sides were insanely flavorful. The portions are generous. Our entire experience was just exquisite!

Yelp
We stayed at an air bnb across the street and slipped over for drinks and desert after kiddos were in bed. I'd never had yogurt cake before....truly delicious. And the staff was phenomenal. We were looking for an easy family hike around Denver, and the staff and back-of-house folks came out to talk to us and recommend hikes. And they turned me on to New Terrain Brewing...my new favorite. A great neighborhood restaurant and bar!

Yelp
While traveling through Denver on Thanksgiving day and everything being closed, we didn't know what to do for dinner and picked the one place we could find last minute reservations - Plimoth. I studied the menu beforehand and wasn't really excited about any of the offerings but quickly changed my tune after the first appetizer. This is the best meal Ive had in my life. Often times, upscale places like this are not vegetarian friendly but this place had so many options! We started with the brussle sprouts and I know what you're thinking - "all sprouts are the same". No, these were hands down the crispiest and tastiest version of brussles I've ever had. We went on to order the carrot dish (delicious but not my favorite), the cauliflower gratin (to die for!), the pumpkin bisque, and sweet potato ravioli (they were kind enough to make it veggie friendly for us). Because it was Thankagiving, we also indulged in the root vegetable entre which blew us away! It was unexpected and incredibly balanced. To give you some context: I normally hate most of the ingredients that were used in the dishes. Cauliflower? Yuck! Pumpkin used in savory ways? No thanks. Root vegetables? EUGH. Everything here wowed me and made me like foods I wouldn't ever pick out for myself.

Yelp
Love this cozy neighborhood gem. The menu is small, which allows them to focus on getting it right. They explain their food is "eclectic, yet approachable" and it truly delivers when it comes to flavor. We tried several small bites and drinks the night we visited. The crispy Brussel sprouts with a white bean hummus blew me away. The sprouts were not overly oily, and perfectly paired with the creaminess of the white beans. The hazelnut dukkah (Egyptian spice blend) is a trip to flavor town. My favorite of the night was the Cauliflower turnip gratinée. I was jealous that I had to share this ooze gooey dish with bouitque mushrooms. This dish is not for those still trying to keep their New Years resolution. This cheesy dish, served with crostini is comfort food at its best. The flavors of cream, the cheese, (maybe thyme) and earthiness of the boutique mushrooms are a must order for any occasion. We also had cold water mussels, saffron and white wine. Ask your server for a wine pairing on this one. We had a sauvignon blanc which brought out the saffron flavor in this dish. The Boston Bibb salad and Chesapeake Bay oysters were also good. The service was superior to many restaurants I have been to the Denver area.

Yelp
My wife and I had a fantastic date night experience last weekend at the Plimoth! We made reservations at the bar and we are so glad that we did because we had Melody mixing drinks, making food recommendations and taking care great of us! She made us 1 of the best gin drinks I have ever had and everything we had was delicious. The Chef / Owner, Chef Pete was in the house doing the cooking himself and overseeing the kitchen. Great experience, ambiance, and food! Their menu changes regularly so we cannot wait until the next time we visit the Plimoth.

Yelp
This is my 2nd review of The Plimoth- my partner and I dropped in for wine and desert on a weekend night and the wonderful hostess was so sweet and accommodating by allowing us a seat at the bar without a reservation. We were so impressed with the bartender Melody and her knowledge of food and wine that we made a reservation for the following night to eat a full dinner. The following night, we were greeted by the bartender Claire and had great conversations with her as we worked our way through the late-summer themed menu. We started with the sweet corn chowdah, the Colorado musk melon salad, and a small skillet of the best damn cornbread I've ever eaten. For the entree we split the Alaskan halibut over golden paella. For desert we had a great manchego cheese plate with corn pudding, peach marmalade, and kettle corn. All in all, the food was fantastic! The atmosphere was exactly what we wanted- a slow paced multi course meal in a hip neighborhood restaurant. And the service and friendliness of the staff topped it off as the best dining experience on our week long vacation through Colorado. I don't want to overstate excellence of this restaurant, but after visiting two nights in a row, I can tell you that they're doing everything right.

Yelp
The food here was very, very delicious. The cracklin' chicken and pork terrine were both amazing. This place was hopping at 8pm on a Saturday night. We had to wait for our table for a bit and sat at the bar. The bartender got us water right away but never got our drink order, he was so slammed. They must have a separate service bar as our drinks came right away when we ordered at the table. Super yummy and fun neighborhood restaurant! I'm so glad I found this on Yelp and got to try it.

Yelp
Such a lovely place to dine. I'm a big fan of well thought out placement of lights in general. It makes the place inviting or worse depressing. Whoever designed this place-kudos! Nice dining area right by the bar. Although there's a second area that seem to be the main one? That's where we sat. A wall with a high window divides the area. The food: Pork Oso Bucco. One big giant tender meat. The bone? I forgot about it. The meat literally just fell off the bone. Out of sight; out of mind. Bye bone! I ate and I ate and yet I still took some leftovers home! The very thoughtful staff. Ever present but unobtrusive. A very considerate gentleman who seem generally just making sure things are fine adjusted the temperature when he noticed I haven't taken off my coat since we sat down. And then again since more ladies came in and didn't take their coats off too. It's a lovely place. It's just the table by the window are drafty. I'm sure that's an easy fix! Outside seating for summer!

Yelp
The food is perfect & the portions are just right. We used to get gassy & bloated in the office at night, but with smaller portions, we no longer need the febreze

Yelp
All I can say is say yes to every suggestion from your server. The pairings are amazing. The pork rillete I could live on. I also love the service. So many places have substandard service in the past many years which makes me appreciate being taken care of at this level even more. Cocktails are top notch and the ambiance makes you wanna stay all evening. I can't say I've ever tried anything in this establishment that was less than excellent.

Yelp
Our last night in Denver and we wanted somewhere fantastic and special. We asked around, chatted with locals and they all agreed, The Plimoth was the place to go! We were able to easily get reservations. Fortunate for us, they have outdoor seating in private pods... each private pod 'tent' was equipped with a space heater making it quite comfortable. The drinks were absolutely fantastic. I can't rave enough about the bartenders and their mad skills! Excellent. Our waitress was such a dear-heart. Very kind, professional and attentive. She kept the evening rolling at a good pace. Food was out of this world. Everything we ordered was quite amazing. We shared a few appetizers and then had our own entrees... I can't even begin to tell you how thoroughly we enjoyed our meal! The Plimoth was absolutely the right choice and the perfect end to our vacation. Cannot wait to return to Denver so we can enjoy the Plimoth once more!

Yelp
I've always been a supporter of this place because it is in my hood. Maybe it was an off night or bad menu but I was disappointed all around. I realize it's out of their control but if dogs are banned from the patio so should small kids. Have some self awareness parents. Must of been three tables with toddlers moving around. I probably wouldn't have noticed if my first drink wasn't a warm beer. Yes, the bad menu. The main courses consisted of veal, catfish, chicken leg and some sort of vegetarian fare. Our table ordered everything but the vegetarian. The Veal came out deep fried, cold and chewy. Not a fan of catfish because I can usually taste the puddle or polluted lake it came out of. I thought maybe this place could work some magic. Nope, tasted like City Park lake smells on a hot day. I ordered the chicken which was moist but that's the only good thing I can say about it.

Yelp
The Food was delicious, period. Would be hard pressed to find anything as well prepared or tasty anywhere else. The Service was top notch, our server was very attentive & kind. My date & I loved the ambiance as well. Rustic but High End feel that makes you want to keep coming back for more! 10/10 will be back.

Yelp
What a bummer. I've always had great experiences here and brought an out of town friend here for dinner last night. Huge disappointment. They've upped their prices yet again, my entree was $45. I ordered the fish and the filet was delicious, buttery and cooked well, but accompanying it? A bunch of raw cabbage and some hazelnuts thrown around on top. The plate was kind of a mess, actually, and I was hungry afterwards because there wasn't much other than fish and cabbage on it. Appetizers were shishito peppers, which were cooked fine, but included raw corn cob kernals on it, which tasted a little pasty and weird. The pork belly was good, but not enough really to share, three tiny pieces of meat. Even the dessert wasn't that impressive. For $200, before tip, I likely will go elsewhere next time. There are too many good restaurants in Denver now and no one should settle for prices like this. I do want to give them credit for service. We have always had good service there and we did last night, too.

Yelp
Booked this place for a date night during the week. The reviews on Yelp looked promising and the menu seemed brief yet providing a good amount of diverse options. The ambience is nice and cozy. We were seated right away and the servers are very pleasant and friendly. Welcomed with two glasses of cava which was a delight. We asked for recommendations from the menu and the server was nice enough to walk us through every item. The cocktails were delicious and well made. Multiple options to select from with different spirit options. There is something for everyone on the cocktail menu. For food we went with : Country style pork rillette : interesting idea but delivery was under par. All the flavour was lost behind the mustard and was disappointing. Cauliflower turnip gratinée : well crafted and flavourful. Definitely give it a try however it just didn't come all together. Cracklin' chicken : well made and delicious. Nice paired with some greens. Definitely the pick of the meal Grouper : cooked a little bit on the dry side and we all know what that means when it comes to seafood. Finished the meal off with Dark chocolate, mint & espresso de crème, chantilly, chocolate espresso crumble which was absolutely delicious and mouth watering. A dessert very well done and crafted. Overall a good experience but for the price and brand, the food was underwhelming. The staff is amazing and kudos to them for making it a wonderful experience. I may be tempted to give it another try when the menu is updated. For all the food lovers out there, do check it out. There is definitely a lot of potential and promise here.
