"The only complaint about The Point is usually the wait. Come summer, it can take up to two hours to get a table at this no-reservations restaurant overlooking a cute creek. However, there is an online ordering option if you want to pick up and picnic on the dock or boat instead. The medium and jumbo steamed crabs do not disappoint, but there is also an entire menu of seasonal and locally sourced seafood dishes from chef Bobby Jones. The Point stays open all year." - Tierney Plumb, Tim Ebner

"Tucked at the end of a residential road, beloved outdoor hangout The Point seats diners on a first come, first serve basis. Crabs are available by the dozen, half dozen, or a la carte, Sunday to Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m." - Tierney Plumb

This restaurant has everything that you want in the seafood restaurant, including the spectacular view. You're just a breath away from the water as well as numerous boats and surrounding wildlife as well. Customer service was great. Food was great. Everything was great. Nothing bad to say. This is a must. If you don't have it on your list, add it...

If you enjoy seafood, The Point should be on your "must visit" list. The seafood is fresh. Our 3 meals were prepared quickly, but more importantly, were excellently prepared to deliver flavor by not overcooking or over dressing the seafood. My french fries were limp and too greasy, but I went there for the seafood - right! Our server was prompt, helpful, and happy. It was a very good lunch.

Google
Food here is great. We had the fish and chips, seared ahi tuna tacos, crabcake sandwich, crab dip, whipped feta dip, and chicken wings. The fish and chips, tacos, and crabcake sandwich were really really good. The crust on the fish and chips was incredible. The fish tasted great. The only thing I would avoid here is the chicken wings, they tasted and smelled pretty bad. This is a seafood place so I will stick to seafood from now on. The crab dip had almost 0 crab. It was very creamy and it tasted good but for the price it was a scam. ~$20 for a small dip. We also had the brownie sundae, which was great!

Been coming here for years. It's definitely a hidden local gym. The food is fabulous and locally sourced. Desserts are to die for. Service is friendly and energetic. They updated their seating areas and now is even better. Highly recommend!

Google
Our friends live close to this establishment, and I am so happy thwy suggested we go. We went in March so could not enjoy the outdoor seating. That said, the vibe inside is lively and fun. Food was great!! Try fish tacos and the fried pickles are the best i have had. Super thick!! I enjoyed their specialty burger which did not disappoint. My daughter had the fish and chips which I was able to try. Delicious 😋 Can't wait to go back this summer!

I visited The Point Crab House & Grill and really enjoyed the waterfront location and relaxed atmosphere. The service was friendly, and it’s a great spot for seafood lovers. However, as a vegetarian, I found the menu very limited with almost no satisfying options. While the place itself is lovely and worth visiting for the view and ambiance, I wouldn’t recommend it for vegetarians.

Google
Great place with a fantastic view in the Atlantic Marina at Ferry Point in Arnold MD. The bar/restaurant is tucked into the marina and sits on the water of Mill Creek which opens to the Magothy River. Food, drinks and service were great! Large outdoor seating area which I’m sure is great in summertime. Our visit was in March and although a beautiful looking day, it was cold so outside wasn’t open.

My daughter and I went in for a drink and some appetizers. The food was decent. The service was satisfactory. The atmosphere was more enjoyable.

Yelp
The Point is simply my favorite restaurant in the Annapolis area. Food is phenomenal and consistent, the service is friendly and efficient, and the ambiance is delightful and relaxing.

Maria C.

Yelp
We all enjoyed our meal and drinks! Crab cake sandwich; winter salad with blackened chicken and ahi tacos, all delicious. If you are a sangria fan you have to try the autumn sangria, the perfect blend! Allie was our server and she did a great job! If you haven't been, get to the Point!!

Dives R.

Yelp
Food: fresh and tasty Service: prompt and friendly Ambiance: a little loud but you can't beat the beautiful water side view.

Yelp
I came here for my friends bday for a late lunch during the week, and it was bumping! I guess it's summer and no one works! It was definitely a drive - took me about an hour each way from Balitmore. It's right on the water in a residential area, I was praying GPS wouldn't fail me - Capital Sup paddle boarding is also here. The ambiance is very dock-like. The staff was super friendly and accommodating for all the accoutrements we wanted for our crabs. I want vinegar and butter. We got the soft shell BLT special which was lovely with fries (the bread was a bit too much). The crabs were lovely, and it was a bit too early for corn which is always my preferred side. I wouldn't drive here just for the Point as there are similar places near me but worth a stop if you're in the area. There's a big parking lot, and I will say they sat us on the picnic area which smelled a bit mulchy/ fertilizery.

Yelp
On 28 September 2024, I ate lunch at The Point Crab House and Grill at the recommendation of a work colleague. It was a sunny day. I sat inside with a beautiful view of the water. While waiting on my food I watched as customers docked their boats before coming to the restaurant. Since this was my first time at The Point I sampled a few menu items: cream of crab soup, crab dip, and cod fish and chips. I also ordered a crab cake, but took it home for dinner. Ya'll, this is a "must add" to your foodie list!!! The soup and the crab cake are out of this world GOOD!!!!! Everything was fresh and delicious. The crab cake was $33.00, and absolutely worth every bite. The flavor was outstanding. I didn't need to add any sauce. As a matter of fact adding sauce interfered with the crab meat. I recommend you make the trip to enjoy some good seafood, ambiance, and a friendly service team!

Yelp
Came with my parents for dinner while I was in town. Ended up being a 30 ish~ minute wait but you can order drinks from the bar and they have a sitting area. Also the water is right there so you can enjoy that as well. I had a few pina colada's that were soooo good. One of my favorites. We had some cream of crab soup, & the summer crostini to start. The cream of crab was good! The crostini was also good & everything tasted super fresh. We came mainly for crabs so we also ordered a dozen crabs (see pic). We wanted to try something different so we tried the jalapeño corn bread. My mom really liked it but it was a bit sweet for me. Overall was a good experience our waitress was super nice. The patio seating is nice aside from some flies but they had fans on the tables to help negate that.

Alisa H.

Yelp
Always a fun outing. Especially on cooler days. The wings are excellent. Always order extra crispy.

Mariano S.

Yelp
Everything about this place was amazing. The waitress was very professional and detailed. My party was 10 people and she killed it! The food was well seasoned and cooked to perfection. I had a crab cake, mussels and shrimp. As well as a couple of margaritas! I would highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys fresh seafood. Only downside is this place does fill up fast and parking is limited so get there early!

Symone E.

Yelp
Maryland vibes: whole crabs, crushes, near the water. I went in July on an evening, had a great time with my family!

George S.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, but dock hand was obnoxious, disrespectful and no help at all. Please don't hire any more disrespectful punks.

Tosharo B.

Yelp
The ambience was amazing. Customer service was top-tier in the food was to die for overall I give this restaurant 10/10!!!!

Yelp
This was my 3rd time going to The Point and my experiences have been pretty good. We went this past time on a week night for my FIL's birthday and it was just so hot. Obviously I knew it was hot outside but I didn't realize they don't have air conditioning. We were able to sit right away, which was great but it was just miserable in the heat. Kids meals came out quick which is always awesome! I got the cod tacos and they were okay. Just so messy and topped with so much stuff that I couldn't really taste the cod. The salad it comes with is massive, which is great but it's just hard to mix up with the dressing because it's just so much. My husband and FIL had crab cakes and they were good. My SIL had the softshell BLT and she liked it. I'm sure we'll be back but maybe not in the dead of summer when it's 100 degrees outside.

Anthony S.

Yelp
The staff are great: they make sure their attention to and focused on customer is excellent. The menu is very good and not overly priced. The atmosphere is relaxed and very laid back: you don't have to be uncomfortably dressed. I'm very pleased to share my thoughts on this. TonyJ

Yelp
Excellent food wonderful service amazing ambience Our food came out as ordered and hot in a timely fashion The wait was not long Parking was very easy Highly recommended for bar food, couple or group

Yelp
Lovely place to eat the famous Maryland blue crabs. We came here to celebrate Fathers Day and it was the perfect ambiance. It was causal yet charming. You can pick between outdoor or indoor seatings but the whole restaurant is open space and near the waters. You can apparently order from your boat if you wanted. We heard this place gets packed so we arrived 15 minutes before they opened to avoid having to be waitlisted for seating. This was Sunday lunch time and there were already people waiting in line with us as well before the place had opened. If you come 30 minutes after opening you might have to wait for a bit to get seated. We ordered - a dozen steamed blue crabs - fish and chips - steamed clams - crab gazpacho - moms Maryland crab soup - summer salad (with watermelons) - side of jalapeño corn bread This was enough food for a party of four. However we were definitely running out of space on the table for our food so we had to eat our appetizers quickly before they brought out the blue crabs. You can order the crabs by different sizes and 1/2 dozen or dozen. The sizes depends on what catches they had for the day and is written on the board near the bar. Everything was delicious! I absolutely loved the crab eating experience as well. I wound recommend everything we ordered. I am not a big fan of cold soup so I liked the moms Maryland crab soup better than the crab gazpacho. All the seafood served tasted fresh!

Tony L.

Yelp
Love the food, love the location, service is fair, but the flies win! Most of the time I go here thing are pretty consistent.

Sarah W.

Yelp
Great food, great ambiance, great service! Had the crab dip (the pretzel bread was also great!) and the fish tacos, both felt so fresh.

Manny S.

Yelp
The Point Crab House is our absolute "go-to" place, hands down! It never disappoints!!!!

Debbie S.

Yelp
We went early in a Sunday to avoid a wait. There was already a line forming but we were able to get seated fairly quickly. The restaurant is right on the water with a good mix of indoor/outdoor seating. The service was relatively fast given how packed it gets. The seafood was fresh and we loved the different dippers.

Marcia F.

Yelp
Service is always superb and there's a variety of food available. Good happy hour menu. Love those places!

Jim D.

Yelp
Can't say enough about this restaurant. Great location, awesome staff, and the best crabs every time.

Yelp
I came for lunch on the Saturday afternoon of Memorial weekend - a beautiful sunshine day. All I can say is everything about this restaurant shined bright for me. From the moment my guest and I arrived until we paid the check and left. We were greeted promptly with a friendly smile. We didn't have a reservation so we had to wait about 25 minutes as per the hostess. No problem. So we ordered bloody Mary's at the bar. Even the bartender attended to us within seconds once we sat down. The drinks were nothing short of amazing. So flavorful and yummy. 10 minutes into sitting at the bar our table was ready. Faster than we anticipated. Once we sat down our server (Jess, Jesse, or Jessica-i cannot remember her exact name) was so warm and friendly. She kept a big smile my entire customer experience. She was very attentive. The menu was not overly extensive but from the choices, I honestly wanted everything. It all read to be delicious meals. For appetizers we ordered the crab deviled eggs which were very tasty. For lunch I had the crab cake sandwich and my guest had the fish and chips. Typical choices but they did not disappoint. The crab cake was meat filled pleasure and the fish was fresh and flavorful. The view, the ambience, the vibe we're all relaxing. I felt like I was away on an island. Lol I definitely will be back.

Yelp
Waiting time on memorial day weekend was 30 mins for takeout and 1.5 hours for dining in. Fish and chips - fish was fresh cod and the batter was right on thickness and seasoning. Wish there was tartar sauce and lemon. Dessert - both fried corn bread and brownies came with three scoops of vanilla ice cream. Perfect to complete the meal.

Akande S.

Yelp
Blue crab season in MD has ended so there weren't any crabs (hard nor soft shell) to sample but what was available was DELICIOUS! I had the cream of crab soup - Im still dreaming about that soup. Savory, rich, and full of crab meat. The half-n-half soup(1/2cream of crab 1/2 maryland crab) was also enjoyed by those who ordered it. We decided then we would have a second order of soup to take home. We also had crab cakes which were sweet and delicious with no filler. Casual with a great view. We'll return.

John B.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere - great service - delicious food. The crabs were a treat and the tuna was great. Kids menu was fine. Odd drive through a neighborhood...but you end in a beautiful spot!!! We had an awesome sunset.

Angelo M H.

Yelp
Great place for drinks and bar type food. The dinner menu is obviously centered around seafood and the ambiance / view being on the water is relaxing. Great wait staff also!

Grace S.

Yelp
Service was good. We waited too long for our food. It was a busy night. Our waitress made it worth to stay because she was so kind.

Ali M.

Yelp
Cannot say enough about this place!! It has the tri-fecta. Amazing food, even better service and a great place for kids- I have a toddler myself and this is literally the first place that comes to mind when we want to go out. They have live music often and open up the whole place during good weather - so you can see all the beautiful views of the water from your seat. When my parents come to visit this is where they want to go! The oysters, shrimp and crabs are all good!

Marshall M.

Yelp
Highly recommend for this place, started with this sentence cause all foods, service and ambition brought me back the way restaurants should be. Servers knows about food and ethics. Foods came out hot, not salty. Carb soup has sweetened by vegetables and seafood broth. Mussels so fresh, I asked for extra bread to finish mussels' broth that full flavor from juice, wine and herbs. Stream carb perfectly cooked. All foods far better than most crab restaurants in MD, in kind of fine dining food with relaxing next to restaurants river. don't forget to save some for dessert.

Laura K.

Yelp
Service was terrible. One of the bartenders (short hair lady) didn't take the order right, talked back and insisted that she got the right order. They definitely need to train the employees better. Another thing, the server said that their policy is to clean up before they hand out the check, which clearly doesn't make sense and we see other tables giving out the checks before they clean up. Went for happy hour and their crab dip tasted like straight up cream cheese and there was no crabs in the crap dip.

Wei T.

Yelp
We came here in August that crabs are still in season. Blue crabs are very well seasoned, and crab meat is so juicy and fresh. Fried soft shell crab is good too, and we both liked tomato slices with blue cheese crumble. Cod fish taco is crazy. It has chunky cod fish fillet inside. Not only crab but also veggie and fish are superb fresh so you can taste the original flavor and sweetness of your food.

Justina W.

Yelp
Delicious crab cake sandwiches, nice view of marina, fun staff . We sat at bar once and at table the second time. Fun place after a nice bike ride.

Amy S.

Yelp
Fun place to go. Food is good atmosphere is fun and inviting. Would highly recommend.

Howard R.

Yelp
Went to The Point Thursday evening. A beautiful night and the place was packed. My party of 5 waited about 15 minutes and got an outside table at the marina. Fantastic spot. Great bar. We loved the food. All dishes were tasty and presented well. I'm not a seafood person and had fried pickles first which were terrific. I had the Point burger which was delicious. The service was excellent and the whole vibe is just right on a warm, beautiful night.

John G.

Yelp
Its out there and a little hard to find parking, but this place is a gem! Weather was great and we able to get a table outside and there was live music going on which was a nice touch. They have a really good selection of beers, very friendly service and the food was really good too! I will definitely venture back out and use the Waitlist app to help knock down some wait time....Pro tip for the rest of you!

Michael A.

Yelp
Mussels and appetizers are great during happy hour A nice place to sit next to the water Staff are busy running around but always friendly

Clara S.

Yelp
Visiting friends in Annapolis and stopped by the Point since its their favorite place. It was a warm day so note that all seating is outside - but luckily covered so you're not sitting right under the sun. Some places have fans above so make a note if you need more airflow. We started off at the bar with super friendly bartenders and great tasting drinks- I got the Sail Away. I off handedly mentioned to my husband that the drink had cilantro, which I don't like, but thought I could just take it out when I got the drink. The bartender overheard me and offered to take it out while she was making it - great attention to detail - I should have asked her straightforward but I appreciate she offered without me asking! We took our drinks to the table. We arrived early- around 11:30 so there was plenty of open tables in this early Saturday but as soon as noon rolled around - it was packed! So plan accordingly. They share free parking with the boat dock and there are a lot of spaces but once its busy, you'll be circling to find a spot. I ordered the Seared Ahi Tuna Tacos and it came with a large side salad. The tacos and salad were delicious, as well as the fried pickles for appetizer. I love pickles, and these fried pickles were BODACIOUS good gracious! So if you don't "LOVE" pickles, don't do it. But they were soooo good! My friends ordered crab cakes and pulled pork tacos and everyone was very pleased with their food. The bathrooms are the only part of the restaurant that has AC and my god it was glorious after sitting outside in humid weather that I didn't have to sit in a swampy bathroom. LOL. Clean and AC - what more could a sweaty-humid-omg I have hot flashes girl want?! Our server was also fabulously attentive and this was a great experience. I'll come back in the Fall when Mother Nature isn't trying to give me pre-menopausal hot flashes from sitting outside.

Caitlin H.

Yelp
Good crab cake but poor service. If you're going to use an app for waitlists and that app gives inaccurate times, you should have front desk folks who can communicate rather than shrug their shoulders and go back to playing on their phones. Also -- maybe don't tell a guest "yeah we've had someone sitting there for 2.5 hours but they're not moving so we're not sure when we can seat you." Consider moving some of the open two tops OR don't take large parties on the app. Very disappointed as we left after waiting more than an hour despite app saying 40 min max. We've eaten here before and the service is slow (even after being seated) but we enjoyed it. Just a bummer we received very poor communication and front desk help tonight.

Fahron N.

Yelp
Nice, casual, neighborhood fare. Good for quick finger foods and drinks. Easy food for an afternoon boat ride. Good wings, great crab dip, and fried pickles for those who enjoy it. Jovial crowd, noisy and busy overall, as expected on a Friday night!

Rebecca H.

Yelp
This is a great restaurant on the water. My crab cake sandwich was delicious and the drinks were good too. I also really liked the views from the seating in the restaurant. It was nice to look at the water view while eating. It gets pretty busy here at times so you may need to wait a while before they seat you. Except for the wait, everything else was great.

Gary H.

Yelp
The best crab cake I've eaten in many years! We put our name on the list using Yelp! and it was super convenient. We parked our little boat right in front. Couldn't have been easier. Delicious cold margaritas helped fight the heat. Nice views as well. The crab cake on tomatoes looked delicious too! Fast service, friendly staff. I do wish they didn't use so many plastic straws so close to the water's edge. Maybe they can work on that.

Anthony S.

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in a 20 mile radius. Come tie up at the dock for happy hour!

Tracy S.

Yelp
Amazing food and great atmosphere The best. Love the soft shell crab cake sandwich and crushes are delicious

Cynthia D.

Yelp
Had dinner at the bar and had drinks on happy hour from 3-6pm, drinks were very good and ordered a dozen black prince edward mussels that were fabulous! Nice place and atmosphere. Would come back when in this area again. It's right off the river and has a nice marina that the restaurant sits on and backs up to it.

Erika S.

Yelp
Where to start? Great views, AMAZING food, terrific service and awesome drinks. There is something for everyone here! We go all of the time and love it!

Madelyn A.

Yelp
I will go out of my way to enjoy a beautiful waterfront meal, and the view at The Pointe Marina was exactly that. I also couldn't complain about the meal and helpful service. However, -- i hate to ever rate the service industry with less than 3 stars but this was well below the bar. While the view is nice, I placed my family's name on the waiting list on their Yelp page for a party of 8, 2 hours in advance and called 1 hour prior to confirm that we would be still be seated around the same time. We arrived to the restaurant within the window we were given between 6:30 - 6:45 and weren't seated until 7:30. I understand a waiting list is pending the existing guests have left their tables, but having to wait an entire three hours to be seated is unacceptable. Estimates should definitely be given to allow for a cushion for this but to quote a group an hour off is very inconsiderate of both people's time AND appetite! Secondly, in my phone call i was specific in requesting an outdoor table as I was bringing my newborn and felt more comfortable not having her in the crowd and was assured we would have an outdoor table. -- Yet we were seated in a loud, obnoxiously crowded indoor area where we could barely hear the person next to us. Lastly.... to top it all off, they were out of crab. Bummer. All in all, so much of a place like this is the overall experience. While our waitress was sweet, the ambiance is far from pleasurable and you can't expect any aspect of reliability. 1/5

Vaike O.

Yelp
Excellent experience and great food. We had tomato salad and soft shell crab sandwiches. Yummy! Not to mention, amazing views!

Lin M.

Yelp
This was an unusual 77degree February day but they had foresight to open outside dining. We did have a wait for lunch but the fire pit area in the warm sunshine was perfect for wait and "crushes." Being a visitor to Maryland It was my first experience with a crush. I had the peach and my daughter have the coconut lime. They were very good. We started off with deviled eggs and soft pretzels with beer cheese. Honestly, we should've ended with them. We ordered a salad to share and french fries but were too full to try them. They were wonderful the next day. The service was wonderful, quick, attentive and very cheerful My comments has to do with social habits in America. They have very long picnic tables which two of us sat out by ourselves while people waited for a table. When are Americans going to be OK with sharing a table with strangers. We could have experienced community on this beautiful day. At the fire pit we were all talking and sharing stories. This practice is something I love when you go out to in other countries.

Brianna R.

Yelp
Went around 7:45, told it would be a 40 minute wait so we gave our number and around 8:45 we went back to check on how much longer it would be, and she told us she didn't know but the kitchen was closing at 9..... complete and total waste of time. I was really looking forward to trying this place but I will never come back here again.
