"Porto’s Peri Peri, a popular Chicago spot dedicated to Portuguese flame-grilled chicken, will debut soon in Sugar Land. The forthcoming spot at 2625 Town Center Boulevard will be the first Houston-area outpost for the brand, which operates seven locations in Chicago and recently made its first foray into Texas in North Dallas. Founder Syed Pasha tells Eater that he plans to open four more in the Dallas area and three more in Houston after Sugar Land. He’s currently looking at The Woodlands, the Bay Area, and a spot on Westheimer Road. Porto’s is already seeing lines out the door in Dallas after debuting its marinated, vegetarian-fed chicken six weeks ago, according to Pasha. In addition to plates of flame-grilled yardbird, Porto’s offers wraps and sandwiches filled with chicken or vegetarian options like falafel, peri-spiked cheeses, or veggie patties. Sides include cole slaw, corn on the cob, hummus, mixed olives, and cassava fries with peri salt, to name a few options. Pasha says he’s hoping to open in Sugar Land by mid-December, but it will definitely debut before the holidays. Stay tuned for Porto’s official opening date and hours of operation." - Alaena Hostetter

We enjoyed our food and the cassava fries. Big portions and friendly staff. The gentlemen that took our order was kind and patient in explaining the most popular things on the menu! We’ll definitely try to be back! :)

Google
Obviously I couldn’t help myself prior to the picture, These fries are DELICIOUS and well seasoned. They are pretty generous with their sauces too. Their taste is so unique and spicy. I will be coming back to try the rest of their menu.

The Honest Insight

Google
Very clean and nice establishment. The lemon and herb chicken had good flavor but it could have been cooked just a bit longer. The food was made fresh and brought to our table. The white sauce was a nice added touch. We ordered the 1/4 chicken (dark) and perimayo corn and fries

This place never disappoints me and my hubby. I don"t know why it took a while for us to come back here. I've always remembered how good the food is. Although there was a small hicup on the chichen that we ordered, the manager or maybe he is the owner took the initiative to fix the problem. Thank you so much. We will surely come back sooner than before.

This is one of my new favorite spots! Great food, service and the atmosphere was perfect for me. Had the chicken and rice bowl with the lemon and Cajun sauce mixed. If you like spicy that’s the sauce you want. Highly recommend.

Google
Get the grilled wings Extra spicy and Cajun if you love spice, ask for extra sauce! Incredible flavor!

Google
I had the Chicken and Rice Bowl (Medium) and it was amazing! Perfect spice level to have a bit of a kick but not too overwhelming. Gazala recommended it to me and was very helpful. Will definitely come back and try something new!

Google
The food was very flavourful, perfectly cooked chicken, and amazing service! Staff was very kind. We will definitely be back soon.

Yelp
These wings were perfectly grilled--crispy outside, juicy inside--with a bold smoky peri-peri kick. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Reminded me of home. I had a chicken and rice bowl that reminded me of the chicken and rice that my mom would make.

Yelp
Food is hot and fresh. Several flavors are available. This place reminds me of Nando's chicken. It is so flavorful and fresh. They have several items on the menu. Ambiance is nice and friendly staff. Always great service!

Yelp
As a group of six first-time diners at the Port of Peri Peri, the experience was quite pleasant for all of us. The warm lighting and vibrant signs alongside the two families already dining when we first walked in caught our eye and created a cozy atmosphere for us to settle in. The cashier who took our orders was kind, especially the boss who suggested what foods to choose from the menu, more on this later. Let's talk about the food. We ordered 4 different items: Chicken Tenders (4 pieces, mild & medium spice level), Half Chicken (medium spice level), Chicken Burger, and The Wrap, with fries and corn as the sides. Each meal was impactful with flavor but five out of six agreed that the chicken was a little dry. The chicken was dryer than what we expected from a store that had chicken as its signature dish but nonetheless had a nice flavor. In correspondence to the meal, we thought that the cost was overpriced. The sides cost around $4 each and our meals cost around $18 each, not including drinks which you must pay additional to get. The total cost of the meal for all 6 was around $128. Although the spice was not a big problem for us, the lack of any free drinks, not even water, was a big drawback in our experience. There was no soda machine and each of the canned sodas cost around $3, further adding to our complaint about the store being overpriced. Returning to the service, it was exceptional. The boss was very encouraging and insightful when taking our orders, especially when suggesting the menu. One key behavior that stood out was that they were not shy to questions when we asked about the store, proving their friendliness. In addition, the wait time was around 15 minutes, which we thought was reasonable for all 6 meals to be put on the table. So, they were quick in serving. Finally, the main question: Would we return? Despite the excellent service and flavorful meals, the majority of our group of six voted that we would not return to the shop. Our decision was mainly based on the price because our experience did not meet our expectations based on them. We thought that $20 for a meal was unreasonable when we could get juicier chicken at a cheaper price and get the sauce from home. If the meal prices were lowered and provided combo meals, all of our group members would heavily consider revisiting this restaurant. Although we voted on not going back, the food was unique, and we think that people should visit this store at least once if they possess the wallet for it.

Yelp
I ordered pickup and my food was ready in ~10 minutes. I ordered the 4pc tenders, thinking it would be similar to fast food chicken tenders, but it wasn't (my own ignorance). Instead it's just regular pieces of chicken smothered in sauces of your choice. I chose the cajun peri and milder mild flavors. I'm super grateful for the sides of ranch that were included as they complemented the strong flavors super well. The cajun peri flavor definitely had a kick to it, while the milder mild is pretty much as it sounds. I also ordered the sides of peri corn and coleslaw. Both were very flavorful and provided a nice break from the saltiness of the chicken. The corn reminded me of creamed corn just with different seasoning. Overall very yummy food and it definitely filled me up.

Yelp
Food is delish. Chicken is juicy and has a kick to it, it's a little under $10 for the leg quarter, you can add a side for 4.50. Ordered 2 leg quarters and a side of rice and cassava chips and it came to $30. Garlic sauce is addictive! I recommend them as a take out option. Mind that all, even the mild options have a kick of chili. I'm not a fan of spice but 5/5 with the garlic sauce as it helps a lot. Sitting down inside is a bit of an experience. As soon as you walk in you get hit by a septic smell .... This being a food establishment it is not a smell you want to smell at all. As you make your way in you realize it's coming from the restroom area. At least it's not the kitchen. The smell threw me off and took away from the experience but again the food was delish. The soda fountain is now gone so no water unless you buy an over priced beverage. Another big red flag in my dine in experience was the fact they have one of those personal use small nugget ice machines. Patrons each grab the little scoop and stick their hand in the ice machine. To me that's disturbing as it seems like a great way to pass on bacteria and who knows what else. Friendly reminder to wash your hands

Yelp
I'm very surprised this spot was almost empty on a Saturday at peak lunch. It's a casual spot very reminiscent of Nando's- chicken with spicy sauce and fun sides. The sauce is tasty and the chicken is very juicy and tender, definitely well cooked. The cassava fries are a fun thing to try, love the seasoning. The perimayo corn is delicious as well, creamy and salty. I'd be interested to try some of the other menu options, but you can't go wrong with the chicken.

AK S.

Yelp
What kind people with spicy food! They even had Cassava! Chicken was well cooked and tasty.

Walter R.

Yelp
The food is fantastic It's a clean, well lit restaurant in a strip mall, so there is plenty of free parking, and lots to do in the area, with outlet stores and First Colony Mall within walking distance. It's fast casual style food, but so much better than anything else in its price range. The food is actually marinated and well "seasoned". (Many restaurants confuse "seasoning" with just adding more salt or sugar, so it's refreshing that they imparted so much actual complex flavor in a dish that is very affordable.) Sarfaraz and his crew took time to explain the menu, and suggested a combo that gave me more food for less money than what I was about to choose on my own. I got the 2 half chicken combo; one half spicy, and the other half lemon pepper. The chicken is beautifully flame grilled on the outside, and still tender on the inside. The basmati rice is full of flavor, and the steam veggies look very simple, but they also have a perfect hint of seasoning. All the food stands on its own in flavor, however the Peri Peri sauce is wonderful, and I hope they start selling it in bottles (if not already). Anyway, I am blown away by the "flavor per dollar" ratio of eating here. I thought I purchased enough food for leftovers tomorrow, but I could not stop myself from eating all of it right away. There is no doubt I will be back here soon.

Yelp
Peri Cassava Fries were tasty! Hearty and dusted with some spice - it's only very mildly spicy but just a heads up that kids may not like it if they can't eat spicy stuff. 1/2 chicken dark meat option: I got the lemon & herbs flavor because I'm a wuss and don't like spicy foods. It was super moist and cooked well! Lemon isn't my favorite flavor for anything but it was pretty good. I might try the mildest spicy chicken the next time I come! Their side of rice was ok, it was kind of spicy but at the same time was kind of bland.

Muneer R.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Peri Peri and I couldn't believe the taste, It was the best chicken I had in Texas. it was delicious, fresh and very distinct and if you are spice lover this place will definitely impress you, and if your not a spice lover they also have plain and lemon and herbs options. I'll definitely be a regular to that place

Ann R.

Yelp
It's been a while, so stopped in while it was raining bad. Initially walking in there was an odor. We got the tenders and rice with the peri corn, food is flavorful. I just hate all the burnt pieces on the chicken and this tough skin that they leave on. Not someplace, I would rush back.

Tonya B.

Yelp
This place is absolutely delicious! The chicken was juicy, hot, and fresh. We got the hot spice level, and it definitely packed some heat. The wings were big full of flavor. We got the perimayo corn as a side, and it was delicious. I highly recommend trying this place out. I forsee this being a weekly place for me. The garlic sauce is the best, I could drink that stuff! The staff was very helpful and super nice! And the restaurant was clean.

Sandra H.

Yelp
DELICIOUS!! They have a reward program on the app that makes it double worth it!! Finger licking good!!! I'm a regular now. The fries, the corn, the sauce. DELICIOUS!

May Jean C.

Yelp
I do love a good meal at Nando's back in Asia, so to find this spot was great! (Although Nando's has since landed in Houston now). You order at the counter and food will be served to you at your table. Pick your own sauces from the mini refrigerator. Clean space. My go-to order is always a quarter chicken with lemon and herb seasoning, a side of fries, and have the hot sauce and garlic sauce mixed to go with the chicken. Yum!!!

Al R.

Yelp
Went for lunch after an appointment in the area with my partner. LOCATION: in a shopping center strip PARKING: plenty off street in shopping center lot AMBIENCE: light, airy, clean. Casual with counter service FOOD: Excellent chicken, tender, flavorful, spicy hot (can customize heat level but we went with hot) The side dish cassava was good. STAFF: pleasant, competent, helpful PRICES: higher than I would like but isn't everything? Comparable to other casual restaurants RESTROOMS: clean. One sink had only a trickle of water from the faucet. Washing of hands mandatory if you really eat chicken the way it is meant We will be back

Scott R.

Yelp
I can not say enough about this place. Their food is awesome and we are ordering from them at least twice a month. Their service for dine in and to go is friendly and fast and the ambiance at the restaurant is fun and exciting. Love their peri salt seasoning !! we get the original platter with two sauces and the chicken is delicious and juicy.

Reginald H.

Yelp
I'm sorry we didn't take pictures but you can look at our previous pictures because we always order the same. Bone in white meat chicken, 2 chicken tenders (everything medium) fries and rice. Everything is so freaking delicious!!!! Just try this place. I can't imagine anyone being disappointed. Medium is pretty spicy so be careful if you don't like spicy. We've ordered many times before and will order many times more if it stays this delicious!

Elizabeth C.

Yelp
I always enjoy the food! The only thing I didn't care for was the chicken tender in the rice plate because it was a little dry. Otherwise, everything was great!

Nick M.

Yelp
I went to the westheimer location and had a bad experience but the sugarland location exceeded my expectations and the food is delicious! Make sure to get the peri fries!

Unknown U.

Yelp
A classic in sugar land! I always stick to the traditional chicken and rice, which never disappoints, but I finally tried their wings! I got the Cajun + lemon & herbs spice mix and the flavoring was amazing, but there was too much spice/herb which added a which texture, which could've been my mistake for adding 2 spice levels. Nonetheless, the wings were fall off the bone, perfectly cooked. Fries are always perfect and so flavorful. I love the concept of them having sinks outside the bathroom. It's just so convenient. Overall, the place is always clean and equipped with whatever you need.

Yelp
Peri Peri was fantastic! A couple of friends and I went on a Monday night which enabled us to escape the busy crowd that the restaurant would usually have. Upon looking at the menu we had no idea what to order, rather than rushing us the staff was incredibly patient and gave us recommendations on what to order. We got a crispy pita wrap which was a zesty, sweet, and crunchy concoction that balanced perfectly with each ingredient. Although it tasted great, the dish was too small and you would need two orders to be satiated. We also ordered "The Sizzler" which is a sandwich consisting of chicken, onion, and various sauces seasoned with lemon and herbs. The chicken was soft and the sauces made all the ingredients blend together perfectly. Similar to the crispy pita wrap the dish was too small unlike the pita wrap the dish was messy to eat. Additionally, we ordered a Mango milkshake however the vanilla flavor overpowered the mango puree. furthermore, we got the 6-count wings that were dripping in peri sauce with a side of peri fries. The wings were steaming and tangy with a hint of spice. The fires however were on the blander side. The last dish we got was the chicken and rice bowl seasoned with Cajun and lemon pepper seasoning, unfortunately, the Cajun seasoning completely overpowered the lemon herb and was undetectable. We added the white sauce to the dish, and it perfectly balanced out the meal. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed the food, the great staff, and the rustic cozy atmosphere and would visit again.

Sarfaraz S.

Yelp
Placed an order over the phone and when I came the order was started then. What was the point of my over the phone order? Someone even called back and asked if this is ***** and what I ordered. I came 35 minutes after I ordered and he kept saying he will make it right now. The other lady in front said sorry he'll make your order right now. I wasn't offered anything for their mess up. There was no one else in the restaurant and the food still took over 15 mins to make after I paid.

Fariha P.

Yelp
Excellent service and food every time. Been coming here since 2018, and we love it. Sarfaraz is a new employee and he's very friendly and provides great service too! Food was out quick, within 10 mins even tho it was busy at 8pm on a Saturday night! The chicken was SO juicy and flavorful, cooked to perfection. Chicken breast was so yum, didn't feel like chicken breast honestly!

Mochammad A.

Yelp
Food is fantastic, super delicious. Service is excellent. Ambiance is nice, relax, very comfortable and clean. Love this restaurant. I would highly recommend this restaurant for lunch and dinner. I would come back again when revisiting Houston.

Adeel A.

Yelp
What happens when you add great location, great food and great service is magic. The port of Peri Peri is one such place where you find amazing food. It was our first time today, although many friends been there and recommended us, but since don't live in Sugarland anymore we had been postponing it. Now, I am thinking we were wrong. Anyway, we ordered several different dishes and none of them disappointed. The guys at the front counter, recommended great options, and the food came with great speed. They have a special white and red sauce, it's a must have but be careful not to add too much unless you can handle the heat. Will go there again!

Russell T.

Yelp
Good staff and good food!! Made me and my girlfriend happy. Nice modern vibes inside and staff was great. The girl who was the cashier was so nice with helping us order and the dude who helped me get a to go box was great! I asked for a ramekin to fill with a sauce and he just gave me ramekins prefilled with sauces instead. Great people!!

Samantha M.

Yelp
After reading some reviews, I was skeptical of this place being a knock off Nando's, but I decided to give it a try this past Thursday since I hadn't had peri peri chicken in a long time. I ordered the 1/4 Chicken Breast and Wing at mild spiciness with peri fries. My boyfriend got the chicken bowl at medium. Our food was brought out pretty quickly after ordering. My food was hot, the chicken wasn't dry at all, and the peri peri sauce was just spicy enough for me. I tried the white garlic sauce in the self serve refrigerators and loved it too! Not too garlicky and a really refreshing complement to the spiciness. I'll definitely be back sometime, especially since there aren't too many peri peri chicken options in the area. But I do think the prices are a bit high ($6.95 just for the breast and teeny tiny wing) and I dislike the fact that the sides are all sold separately at $2.95. Not cheap, but still delicious!

Tariq S.

Yelp
The $32 Whole Chicken (self order and pickup) with 2 large sides of which one must be the Peri Mayo Corn and the other can be Cole Slaw or the Cassava Fries was lots of food and plenty for four adults! The regular fries side were soggy with the individual leg and thigh order and we will not order those again. The lady who took the order Z was pleasant as was Sahar who helped take the bags to my car. They do need to clear their tables sooner instead of leaving dirty dishes piled up on three front tables at 8:35 pm on a Saturday, not a good look for new diners coming in. But the food is great and folks were super nice! Also though there is a link to Grubhub from Yelp but they said they do not accept orders from it because they don't always come through, but do for UberEats (prices are higher of course) than dining in or taking out like usual!

David C.

Yelp
The Port of Peri Peri is definitely not your average chicken dinner. With their bright, clean interior, and their chargrilled, spicy chicken, this was the change of pace kind of food we were looking for. In reality I would have given this place 4.5 stars, but I rounded up because overall it was a great experience, and it's nice to see a family business doing what they love. The only thing we didn't like here was that some of their chicken had too strong of a charred taste. The chicken wasn't burnt, but the grilled charcoal flavor was overpowering even over their bold flavored, spicy sauces. Other than that though, their chicken really packs a punch! We tried their original platter, wing platter, perimayo corn, and cassava fries. We had an assortment of flavors to try everything from their lemon and herb, to medium, to extra hot. If you don't like spicy food, I wouldn't recommend going past their medium spice level. But personally I thought their extra spicy flavor was by far the best! Pairing all of their food with their white garlic sauce, or their orange colored Peri Peri chili sauce really takes your food to the next level. Dipping the cassava fries in their garlic sauce was a good way to cool your mouth down from the spice, and using their chili sauce in their corn made it very similar to elotes. I would also note that they have spicy lamb chops on special, but we didn't get the chance to try them. I also liked that they had hand washing stations outside of the restrooms, trust me you'll need it when you're done eating. Overall this was a better than expected chicken dinner! I would highly recommend this place to others if you're wanting some spicy chicken that's out of the norm!

Aarzoo M.

Yelp
Food was absolutely excellent as always. My favorite part about this restaurant aside from the food of course, is the staff! SO WELCOMING SO KIND SO DELIGHTFULLY. The staff & manager is so accommodating and nice. The ambiance of the restaurant is 10/10. My favorite spot to go to in sugarland! Highly recommended!!!

Kim W.

Yelp
Tried Port of Peri Peri randomly for dinner, while looking for African cuisine. I thought it was a pert of another African food restaurant called Peri Peri. The restaurant was quiet so we were waited on quickly. It is a walk up order system. Unfortunately, they were out of lamb and only had various chicken options. We placed our orders and waited. The food is served family style. Utensils and real plates, napkins, and condiments are located by the beverage station. As a person with mobility problems it was difficult to carry everything. The staff immediately stepped in to assist me, and continued to check on us often through your meal. Two of the servers were teenage young men. They both had infectious personalities. They were a joy to talk with. An older worker also helped with our needs, and also gave us a history lesson about the food. According to our lesson, the food is a fusion of Portuguese and Pakistani influenced by a spice from Africa. We chose the mild level, which still had a little heat! It was suggested we use the garlic sauce with our chicken to lower the heat. It worked and tasted great! Definitely a pleasant dinner.

Diana C.

Yelp
You know what they say - winner winner chicken dinner! And we definitely found a winner here at Porto's Peri Peri. There are numerous reasons I would come back to this place: - Halal friendly - The sauce they use on these chickens...I ordered the "medium hot" and my tastebuds went to Flavor Town - The cassava fries - based off of others opinions and reviews, I feel like people either really enjoyed them or didn't care for them. I really enjoyed these. If you're expecting something similar to a French fry, you'll be disappointed. These are a bit tougher but still delicious. We ordered a platter (the one that serves 2-3) that came with a whole chicken and 2 sides, and we added another side. The chicken, paired with the 3 sides, was easily enough for the 3 of us. Our sides included the cassava fries, perimayo corn and rice. The perimayo corn was creamy and similar to elote. The rice was nothing special, but did serve as a nice side dish for the chicken. Overall, I would definitely come back for the chicken! The ambiance and staff are both friendly and welcoming.

Anant L.

Yelp
I came here on a date with my girlfriend, and we will be back soon. I was actually surprised by how good the food was here. I ordered the peri peri chicken (leg + thigh) and corn. The chicken was amazing. It was spicy and tangy and savory and smokey all at the same time. My girlfriend got the burger. She couldn't decide what part she liked the best - the buns, the bread, the sauce, or patty. I would definitely recommend getting their side garlic sauce. It enhanced both the chicken and the burger.

Jan J.

Yelp
They are always consistent with the quality & taste. I have always felt so welcome by the staff. The food is always brought out in a timely manner. The fews time there have been errors in the order they are quick to correct. I go to this location almost monthly. I never get tired of their chicken. I would recommend not going to spicy with the flavor pr chicken since they have sauces you can add that it soo spicy and delicious. We all usually get the lemon herb flavor chicken. Then add the spicy sauce they have available.

Nikhil G.

Yelp
The USP of this place is their sauces. Be it the garlic one or the spicy peri peri sauce, these just transform the regular items on their menu like the falafel and paneer strips to a whole different level. The peri falafel and peri peri paneer were absolutely delicious. The cassava fries on the other hand were a bit dry. The customer service is excellent and they take time to explain you the details. The ambience is pretty nice as well.

Tutti S.

Yelp
I loved my delicious meal here. The chicken was moist and flavorful inside and out. Sides were fresh and well seasoned. The sauces were really tasty, just the right amount of zing! This place is definitely now on my regular rotation list! Yummy!

Aishah M.

Yelp
So happy with my experience at the soft opening! Walking in, we were greeted right away and seated by the manager. He was soo accommodating and helpful, he made our experience great! We had plenty of questions about the menu, which he answered and helped us figure out what we wanted to get. Our group of 4 each got the 1/4 chicken which was 5.95 (very reasonable). We got 2 sides of the corn with peri mayo, and the French fries. The spice level for the sauce we chose was medium. It was so perfect and juicy the chicken was marinated so perfectly. The corn was also delicious, it had mayo, and a hint of lemon juice. Soooooo good!! Definitely would recommend anyone to come here. Service was great, food came out very fast, and everything was so delicious!

Char I.

Yelp
Ummm this place has great food! Talk about getting your bang for your buck! I was in the area and looking for a vegan/vegetarian place in the area and I found port of peri peri. I ordered the falafel and rice with a side of cassava fries! Let's just say it was a 20 min drive to my place and the cassava fries never made it to my house! They were soooo good. I got the Cajun peri sauce over the falafel and yes! It has a kick. They give you a substantial amount of food for a fair price! Anytime I'm in Sugarland I will have to stop by because what their food is....is good!

Cindy S.

Yelp
Came here recently for dinner with family. I was super excited to try this place as I haven't had great peri peri chicken since eating at Nando's on my last trip to the UK. We got a whole chicken (lemon herb flavoring) and 24 wings (12 mild and 12 hot) along with a host of sides to try. I was impressed by the lemon herb chicken and enjoyed it- it was nicely cooked and absolutely succulent. The mild wings were good (I would say 2/5 rating for heat where 5 is the hottest) and the hot wings were actually pretty dang hot (5/5 in my book). I felt the chicken was very, very salty in general. The sodium level on these must be off the charts. I was excited to try all of the different sides but they fell short of my expectations. The cassava fries were wayyyyyyy overdone and were very hard. What a disappointment. The fries were good but coated in a spice that made them spicy and rather salty as well. The rice was fine and the corn was fine, too. They use frozen corn and not fresh. Overall, my experience was fine but I did feel we were kind of rushed out once business picked up later in the evening. Wiping down tables while someone is still sitting there is not really the best way to ensure that a diner will return. They could use a little finessing in the customer service department, that's for sure!

Hiba M.

Yelp
Outstanding cuisine and service. My entire family enjoys their sandwiches and wings, and the peri-peri sauce is simply divine.

Mae G.

Yelp
oh my god. Every week I crave for their chicken. It's just really that good! I love the ambiance, how clean their place is as well! I also love how clean their restrooms are and I do appreciate their sink/ hand washing station is always clean! The staff wears their mask and they take covid precautions as well! This isn't my first time eating here and will definitely come back for more!!!

Aamna R.

Yelp
Idk why I went against my better judgment and got a burger here which is really a sandwich. It was $15 and I could have made it at home. Chicken inside was great but the rest of the sandwich was just sad.

Talha M.

Yelp
Amazing food. It is the best place to eat with your family. The service is incredible and they are always so kind and ready to accept your order. It's a nice restaurant and the ambiance is great. Overall any day of the week I'd give 5 stars easy.

Lani P.

Yelp
This place is our new favorite place in Sugar Land!! If you are craving for Peri peri chicken this is the place to be!,their chicken is so tender, moist and flavorful, you will surely come back over and over again. We had Nando's in London and this place is 10x better!Their garlic and orange sauce is to die for!!Fast and friendly service,we found a gem, this place is 10/10.

Remi R.

Yelp
Love this place. We've been eating here since it opened. We particularly love the peri peri chicken and rice bowl, especially mixing in the delicious garlic sauce. Watch out for the heat (spice), though. Even the milder mild is still pretty tangy! Highly recommend. Rob and Remi

Yelp
I came here with my mom and younger brother, since we were running errands around the area. We ordered the chicken platter and peri falafel at a spice level of hot. We also ordered their peri rice, which tasted like biryani rice. Let me tell you, I'm glad we had unlimited iced water because the chicken and falafel were very hot. It was too hot for us. There was a nice charcoal flavor to the chicken, and the falafel tasted similar to a potato croquet. Next time, I think we'll just order the medium spice level. The rice was also fluffy and flavorful. It balanced out the heat of the other dishes. Overall, I think this is a great, casual spot to get flavorful and spicy food.

Yelp
When it comes to chicken on rice, Port of Peri Peri does it best. My friends and I had taken a trip to Port of Peri Peri for lunch and we left extremely satisfied. The amazing service and the beautiful ambiance of the establishment created a very welcoming environment. The chicken was extremely tender and flavorful and combined with the white sauce, created a taste definitely worth remembering. In addition, the Peri Fries were some of the best fries we have ever had. They were perfectly crunchy and contained the perfect amount of spices. One thing, though, is that it is important to be careful when picking your spice level. The best part of this place was the owner. He was exceedingly friendly and made sure to greet us with a smile. We took a picture with him to solidify our experience at Port of Peri Peri in our memories. In my opinion, Port of Peri Peri is a restaurant that is very underrated and does not have enough fame. After one visit, I can almost guarantee you will get hooked on their South African type food.
