A Chicago Chain for Flame-Grilled Peri Peri Chicken is Headed to Sugar Land | Eater Houston

"I learned that Porto’s Peri Peri, a popular Chicago spot dedicated to Portuguese flame-grilled chicken, will debut soon in Sugar Land at 2625 Town Center Boulevard and will be the brand’s first Houston-area outpost. The chain operates seven locations in Chicago and recently expanded into Texas with a North Dallas location that’s already seeing lines out the door after debuting its marinated, vegetarian-fed chicken six weeks ago, according to founder Syed Pasha. The menu centers on plates of flame-grilled yardbird and also includes wraps and sandwiches filled with chicken or vegetarian options like falafel, peri-spiked cheeses, or veggie patties, plus sides such as cole slaw, corn on the cob, hummus, mixed olives, and cassava fries with peri salt.
