"Although Francolini’s pop-up was one way to discover the Rabbit’s Foot, now that the deli is officially open on Tchoupitoulas, there are still gobs of reasons to keep heading to this smartly designed cafe. The owners care about supporting local makers, the coffee program is outstanding, and the menu gets it right, from the outstanding double burger on brioche to the Creole tomato sandwich on Bellegarde bread. The shelves are stocked with so many goodies. There’s a daily non-alcoholic happy hour from 3 to 6 p.m." - Beth D'Addono

Google
Excellent food and coffee. This is honestly one of my favorite breakfast sandwiches in the city as well. The chicken salad is also surprisingly good. There’s lots of seating inside and out. The market has a nice selection of snacks, wine, and spirits. Definitely a local favorite.

Google
This coffee shop is the best coffee place here in New Orleans that we found. They serve sandwiches and salads as well. I had their veggie sandwich and it was THE BOMB. Amazing good to go along with their awesome coffee. This place is an absolutely must go to place.

Google
I’ve loved having this little market in the neighborhood! The coffee is honestly amazing and the variety of goods they carry is great to see. So happy to see new places come in and support local makers! Stop in and try the breakfast sandwich, you’ll be hooked

Google
My new favorite cafe! Everything I’ve tried has been wonderful. Love the breakfast sandwich and chicken salad sandwich. Their pastries are amazing. Coffee is always delicious and everyone is so kind. Recently tried my first bottle of wine from their alcohol selection and it was probably the best bottle I’ve had all year. Can’t say enough good things about Rabbits Foot!

Google
Great cold brew with perfect pellet ice (Sonic style)!! Nice little desserts particularly the expresso brownie and chocolate coated macaroon. Great service from Neal and Amber.

Google
Absolutely 5 stars. For me and my friends one of the best place with great food and best coffee in this neighborhood. Salmon bagels was delicious!

Google
Rabbit’s Foot is my go-to place for either a quick coffee, a lengthy study/work session, breakfast and lunch with friends, or to simply grab an item I need to cook a meal or a bottle of wine. The employees are so friendly and professional here, and the atmosphere is bright and lovely. The food and products sold in the store are locally sourced and community is a key aspect to this little neighborhood spot.

Google
I love this idea. I also am very excited to see other brands that aren't easy to find in NOLA. Great coffee selection, the market has a good selection too. On my first visit I met a friend and had chocolate croissants, but the return visit (I didn't want to share!) I got the lavender loaf, yum! Lattes were also great.

Yelp
Upscale Starbucks vibes. Friendly staff. Small assortment of beer, wine, and spirits available for sale, but not for consumption on premises. Reasonable prices. I ordered the rosemary garlic bagel with scallion cream cheese and a jasmine tea. Bagel and cream cheese was good, but I had probably 3 times the cream cheese I should of had. The tea was also good (Asheville brand) but after 20 minutes of waiting for my name to be called.. I walked up to see how much longer it would be and it seems like it was lost in sauce.. they grabbed a mug, poured hot water, through a tea bag and whallah.. 8 seconds later I was walking back to my seat. Despite the bumps, I'd recommended this place!

Yelp
I pass by this establishment coming home from work everyday. I was off from work, and decided to walk on over. When you walkin it has so many things you can buy. It gives me a nicer corner store vibe because you can buy pastries, wine, seasonings, chicken salad, facial scrubs and more. The service was great everyone made me feel welcomed. This review will cover two visits. I've read the reviews and really wanted to try them. However, I went on a Friday and they only sell them on Sundays. On the first visit that Friday I just got a latte with almond milk it came in the cutest cup, reminded me of a cup I would see at my grandmothers house. On the Sunday went I went back I bought maple pecan donut, cranberry donut, and coffin pastry. I'm so happy I went back for those items on Sunday because they were delicious!! I'm not usually a filled donut fan at all, but these changes my perspective. Everyone needs to and try those donuts and the coffin pasty because you'll keep coming back. I know I'll be back!!

Yelp
10/10 spot. A very welcome addition to the neighborhood. This is a wonderful cafe with a little market inside. Tons of seating inside (as well as some tables outside). Their coffee is great and the food is so delicious. They also have pastries from Bellegarde (try the chocolate croissant w chocolate dough!). I've tried the egg sandwich on a roll and it was perfect. Cant wait to come back!

Madi B.

Yelp
I am sad to hear this place is closing! We've always had a great experience here. The coffee is delicious & the little donuts they have are absolutely to die for!

Tara N.

Yelp
If we lived in NOLA, I think we'd be at The Rabbit's Foot often. It's got a calm vibe with lots of space, lovely decor, and unique details. Both my husband and I had delicious coffee drinks, a pastry, and a cornmeal waffle. The waffle was tasty for sure, but be warned, it's dense! Definitely great for splitting or for when you're very hungry. For parents: In most ways, The Rabbit's Foot is family-friendly: lots of space, access to a really nice high chair (much better than the normal restaurant ones), and fast service. It is worth noting, however, that there is only one high chair available so that could be an issue if it's in use. Additionally, there was only one bathroom - it was large but I don't *think* it had a changing table. Changing table or not, I feel a bit stressed when there's only one bathroom as I know it's going to take some time to do a diaper change.

Yelp
Cute coffee shop in the garden district. We came for food, so we didn't get a chance to try their coffee. They don't serve their typical menu after 3pm, but do have some pre-made sandwiches available for purchase. We tried their egg sandwich, and it was pretty good! Could've used a little sauce as the sandwich was a little dry, but the flavor was delicious! It also has a little market in it, selling a lot of local items. Seems like a good place to relax, enjoy your coffee and drink as well as a place to work in need be. Great place to stop by in your travels.

Yelp
My SO has been to Rabbit's Foot a few times without me so we decided to go for lunch so I could check it out. I ordered a creole tomato sandwich that I upgraded to a BLT. It was HUGE but extremely delicious. Each tomato was nicely seasoned and the bacon was thick and crispy. The service was very nice and helpful. After eating we walked around and looked at all the goods and their wine selection is really nice. I got two bottles of wine and there were a few more things I wish I would have grabbed!

Jordan L.

Yelp
Very cool place. Tons of local products, very organized, and their food is amazing. I got a creole tomato sandwich and I'm pretty sure that bread was made in house. It had crunchy crust, soft delicious middle, and that tomato had the juice. Will be back when I'm in the area to grab a snack and maybe a few things to go.

Yelp
This place takes some figuring out; it's both a brunch cafe with indoor and outdoor seating, as well as a niche food market. The cafe had a nice-sounding salad, but I just had to go for the cornmeal waffles with strawberry compote. As is often the case with cornbread, they came out a little dry, but when drowned in syrup and berries they were quite an indulgent pleasure with that extra nutty flavor note from the cornmeal. Ordering a drink was a bit more of a challenge, as they were out of chai, and when I wanted a matcha with the house pecan milk, they had matcha but were running out of their own milk, so I ended up with a portion of pecan milk matcha and a portion of oat milk matcha. I was told that hot beverages do better with oat than pecan, which I'm inclined to agree with; the pecan was a bit too nutty for my taste. My beverages came unsweetened, with brown sugar available for self-administration. So it was not a perfect experience, but I'm inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt. Notably, they don't seem to do tipping; the price is the price, and the price is quite high as one might expect. The food market was a wondrous display of southern regional food specialties. Do you want some Asheville-based Indian spice blends developed in concert with Atlanta rapper T-Pain? Do you want the most addictive Cincinnati potato chips in jalapeno cheddar or buttermilk chive? Do you want the perfect South Carolina grits? If not, this probably isn't the place for you. I've bought these sorts of items at the places they're actually from, but I'm quite happy that this place exists to diversify the New Orleanian culinary scene. Notably, they also had a local ginger beer brand that comes in a tallboy can with an owl on it, which I've never seen outside of a restaurant. It's that kind of place.

Ed S.

Yelp
While a bit funky and fun inside, the food fell short. One coffee was lukewarm, and likely missing syrup ordered. Egg sandwich had super-salty bacon which made it all salty. Bagel with lox was good, but buried under a mat of green, which was a bit bitter and overboard. With the other options nearby, we went there next day.

Cathy K.

Yelp
Get the egg sandwich. Don't hesitate. Surprised by the garlic aioli, so much flavor. Egg was so soft and perfectly folded. Don't waste your time with the Johnny cakes, bland and cold. Cappuccino was also a highlight and I'm usually not a cappuccino person. Cute specialty items and gifts, awesome spirits for sale including bourbon. Self serve after you place your order. Bathroom is clean

Michael B.

Yelp
Nice vibe, good coffee. Horrible fake croissant, worn out faux antique sofa that belongs in the garbage pile. Almost impossible to eat in. Flies from hell...killed 5 in my short 20 mins visit. You serve yourself, including pick up, yet they add a 10% employee wellness charge? really? I don't even have health insurance and they want me to pay additional wellness charge?? Got me once, but I won't be back. NEVER AGAIN!

Yelp
I like to do my little research about a place before I tried it out. The Rabbit's Foot has great reviews. The inside is super cute and relaxing. It has a small market on the side with huge variety of wines, liquor, and chili oils. In some of the reviews/photos, it looked like they have local snacks, such as dips and sauces, and desserts for a nice at-home charcuterie. I had high expectations and it became my downfall. I really wanted to like this place, maybe I just went in on a bad time and day. I ordered the chicken salad sandwich(no lettuce), the Cuban sandwich, caramel latte with house pecan milk($7), and truffle chips($9). The chicken salad sandwich($9) was dressed with housemade pickles and bits of pecan for that nice crunch factor. It was on a brioche bun, which was nice and fluffy. They definitely filled the sandwich up with chicken salad, because a lot of it was falling from my sandwich. My boyfriend had the Cuban($11) with no pickles. The bread was so burnt. No matter how much you scrape it off, it still tasted burnt. The pickles weren't taken out as well so it marinated in the meat and cheese. All we taste was pickles and burnt toast. We tried washing it down with water, coffee, and chips. We couldn't get that taste off our tongue. We don't normally complain but it wasn't edible. The workers were nice and remade the Cuban sandwich for us. The second time was a little bit better. It wasn't burnt on both side, only one side this time. I don't think they clean the grill properly. The chicken salad sandwich wasn't toasted, so it wasn't affected. For a $43 meal , it wasn't worth the experience for me. Both sandwiches didn't come with a side. The Cuban, even after it was remade, was mediocre. It could be because our tastebuds were already damage from the first sandwich. The place has such great reviews and other pictures of the Cuban look amazing! Maybe it was just a rough day for the workers. I'll try again in a few months. The truffle oil chip is the best I ever ate. It was better than Trader Joe's version. The pecan milk was lightly nutty and perfect substitute for someone who is lactose intolerant.

Rebecca S.

Yelp
Amazing coffee. I got a cold brew with cream and didn't need to add much sugar bc of how great it was. I also ordered a grilled pepper on puff pastry item and so good. All the girls got a variety of drinks and breakfast items and everything was so great.

That Guy S.

Yelp
Absolutely fantastic food. If you are looking for a nice lunch that won't break the bank, I highly suggest this place. Nice atmosphere which seems like a cross between a restaurant, coffee shop, and marketplace. I had the chicken salad sandwich and will come back for it soon.

Mark W.

Yelp
Stopped here specifically for coffee while staying nearby. Excellent selection of coffee beans from a variety of local and clearly carefully selected other roasters from around the county. All beans had a freshness date within the last week. This makes this coffee shop unique. Most shops have beams from a single roaster and not many publish how fresh their brand are. Service was excellent and they pull great espresso shots. They also have great bakery and other provisions. Definitely worth the stop.

Kristen N.

Yelp
Whether you want a good cup of coffee, breakfast/lunch, or are looking for fun specialty foods or even local produce, they have it all. The food and coffee is all fairly priced and they use and sell great freshly roasted beans from small coffee companies. Baked goods are all beautiful and tasty, and the I haven't been disappointed by any of the food menu. Coffee and food is all made as you order, and the service is always quick. All the employees are super nice and friendly, if you have questions about any menu items or anything in the market, someone will be happy to help.

Marielle S.

Yelp
Ooh baby. This is my type of place. So, this is a combination market and cafe. They have basic food and coffee options and a big selection of local products including big growlers of coffee. When I was here I got a bagel topped with a HUGE amount of cream cheese and capers. I had to dismantle this thing just to eat it and that's no complaint. The best part is it was only about $5. The coffee was great and I love that you can buy big containers of it. If you're looking for local stuff from grits to chips to olive oil, this is the place I love that this neighborhood has this cool little spot.

Jakia N.

Yelp
This is such a cute spot that I didn't know existed. I was looking for somewhere to grab coffee and a light breakfast away from the downtown traffic on a Sunday and this place was just that. The service was stellar. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. We received our food and drinks pretty quickly. We all enjoyed the things we ordered.

Lacey D.

Yelp
I really enjoyed my first visit for breakfast. It's a cute place, airy and big. It has tables and a couch or two. They have a case with donuts and pastries, a small food menu and drinks. There is a groceries and goods section in the middle also. We got a blueberry cheesecake donut, the breakfast sandwich and the ginger cake. The donut was SO good- light abs fluffy and not too sweet. The breakfast sandwich was also very good and well seasoned. The aioli was pretty garlic-forward, so if you don't love garlic flavor maybe get it on the side. The ginger cake was good but crumbly. And the coffee and tea were very good. I will definitely visit again!

Logan T.

Yelp
This place was incredible. Just incredible. All of the small batch anything from New Orleans, many of which don't have official Yelp pages or business pages anywhere really, were for sale here. From Pawpaw's donuts to Jamboree Jam jams to Rham Haus ice creams to gourmet vegan butter and pepper jellies. The selection of local goods was enormous. I was there early to grab some donuts but it turns out they also sell a variety of breakfast sandwiches and pastries all of which looked delicious (see pics) and everything we actually tried didn't disappoint. We had a yummy cinnamon roll and the bacon egg and cheese on a roll. The inside is surprisingly spacious and they have a few cute little tables set up for people who want to dine in. They actually could probably use a few more tables in there because I know tons of people would love to sit and eat and work in that environment. It was very calm and relaxing. I think they also offer a lot of coffees too. What blew me away was that you can end up basically doing a grocery haul in here too. My husband is French and was throwing a brunch so I bought a baguette, some traditional French spreads that are really hard to find like foie Gras, duck rillette, pork rillons, gascon terrine, pate de campagne, and even a dozen cage free eggs (see pics for all the fancy spreads). There were a lot of people in there but they kept the line moving fast and the breakfast sandwich, which was made to order, only took 5-10 minutes. Everyone working there was super nice and it's a really convenient location right there on Prytania. I've been telling everyone to check it out. Such a great find, I'm just mad it took me so long haha.

Kathy M.

Yelp
The best chicken salad sandwich I've ever had. The Dong Phong bun, tangy house pickles and pecan-herb vinaigrette...so delicious and never dry. In my opinion, it pairs well with the lavender cucumber Aura Bora. There are some tables if you want to sit and enjoy your meal or you can get it to go. Inside is an bit of an upscale convenient store with liquor, unique condiments, cleaning products, and cold beverages. The menu is small but packs a punch. There is a selection of baked goods as well.

Will H.

Yelp
I really enjoy rabbits foot. I've shared word about this spot with a few friends and have not disappointed anyone with this suggestion yet. They have indoor and outdoor seating which are both great options. Inside they also have a small market of local items that you can purchase. The staff is nice and the food comes out quick. The egg sandwich is simply just egg, bacon, and aioli on a roll and is delicious.

Cristina M.

Yelp
We've been wanting to try the cuban sandwich here and it 10000% hit the mark. Best cuban sandwich in the city by far. Must try!

Alex D.

Yelp
Goodness that was a piece of unexpected amazing. Apparently I love chicken salad in a bun. Who knew? And I'm not sure what they do to their bacon, egg and cheese croissants but it was... yeah. 5 stars. Will be back.

Ginny M.

Yelp
A sea of cream cheese spreads before me. It's atop a toasty rosemary bagel - and the world is joyful. That's approximately how it felt to have breakfast at The Rabbit's Foot. Delicious bagel, cream cheese you want to scarf down with a spoon. Really wonderful, for a quick breakfast or to sit and stay awhile.

C M.

Yelp
Good food and friendly service. Nice atmosphere and relaxing spot. Would go back for sure.

Melissa C.

Yelp
Went there for brunch. I had lox & bagels - soooo good ! I definitely will be back & I definitely recommend this place. It caters to locals prices which makes this place even better !!!

Margaux D.

Yelp
The food is SO good, and the staff wonderful. Highly recommend the tomato sandwich as a BLT when it's available.

Kensy M.

Yelp
It's a quiet place to go enjoy a cup of coffee or tea. They offered some pastries which looked delicious; However, I choose a classic croissant which it had a heavier texture than expected and the service was kinda and fast.

Tanya M.

Yelp
I was visitng NOLA for work and this was my go-to coffee shop. The best around in my opinion. I would get an iced coffee with vanilla syrup and oat milk. So Good! AND the best chicken salad sandwich I have ever had...ever! I don't even like chicken salad sandwiches but my friend got it and I took a bite and I was in heaven. Kept coming back and ordering it. I am back home in California and I'm still thinking about it!

Miranda T.

Yelp
Came here with family and loved it, sandwich was filling enough to keep me satisfied throughout the day. The coffee was great I got a iced vanilla latte and added a shot so it's less sweet. Delicious way to start your day in NOLA.

Kiara B.

Yelp
Try the Cuban!!! It's delicious!!! There are also a host of local juices to try. On my visit the self serve creamer and sugar station was running pretty low but the staff took care of it immediately. I do suggest getting here early as the place fills up and there is only a limited amount of seating. Bonus points for being within walking distance to the mansion where American Horror Story was filmed. Next time I'm in Nola I'll definitely return.

Jesse R.

Yelp
We stayed at the hotel across from The Rabbit's Foot and what a pleasant experience it was. We loved popping in for breakfast and a coffee or tea. The atmosphere is very inviting with a modern hometown feel. They a variety of goods and food in there including an excellent whiskey selection. The breakfast sandwiches we got were delicious. The Egg on a roll is delicious with a slightly wet scrambled egg, cheese, crispy bacon and an aioli on a toasted roll. So good! The staff were also very helpful and courteous. If you find yourself nearby be sure to stop in and grab something yummy.

Claire G.

Yelp
This place is incredible! All the food is so good. The Johnny cakes and poached eggs are perfect if you're gluten free or want something lighter. Also recommend the chicken salad sandwich and the special burger they have right now. And the coffee...elite. Wish I lived closer, I would go more often! The people who work there are also incredible. So nice and helpful! Johnny Cakes Pecan Mylk

Anne T.

Yelp
The special of the day was a creole tomato sandwich- add bacon for BLT. I've been thinking about it for days!!

Kelly C.

Yelp
Such a cute new spot! I love all the local goods they sell, from spices to tampons to ice cream and everything in between. Good coffee and yummy local pastries too. They sell Rahm Haus ice cream, Compagnon Bakery, Paw Paw's donuts, Jamboree Jams, and more! There is some outdoor seating which is nice. Definitely more of a grab and go type of place, not a stay and do work on your laptop type of coffee shop- no outlets. Will be back soon to pick up some snacks!

Nancy O.

Yelp
Saw Gambit's spotlight of this new offering and wanted to check it out. Definitely evokes gourmet bodega vibes, with a NY feel and local slant. I found several unique and familiar items that I needed to try, from the oregano buds in a grinder to fancy flavored potato chips (I got the sweet chili). Oh, they have food and coffee too! The inside looks like I can post up and get some work done...but I'll probably be distracted by shopping instead.

Chris M.

Yelp
Their Egg on a Roll is my new favorite breakfast sandwich! Also, great coffee and pastry selection. A good chunk of the space is a small grocery/market with lots of local brands, a lot of which are hard to find anywhere else. This is my new favorite spot!

Mike Z.

Yelp
love this neighborhood cafe/market. it's tucked just short off of st. charles from a train stop so if you're looking to get off the main trails during a visit, this is a nice change of pace especially in the morning to grab a quick bite and some coffee/morning bevvie of choice. you can tell all the market items have been pretty much hand selected for purchase and love the local influence of things you wouldn't have otherwise knew about but you want to try. there's ample space inside and it's calm and quiet so you can have some peaceful moments to yourself before starting your day.

Scott T.

Yelp
Awesome sandwiches, coffee, and cool market goods. Great place to chill with friends and find something delicious!

Siobhan H.

Yelp
Chicken salad sandwich... basic but good chicken salad but what puts it over the top is the griddle toasted delicious brioche bun and the pickles (HOLY MOLY these pickles!!!) Cute store nice selection of products- I look forward to watching this place develop and grow

Camly T.

Yelp
A pretty nice place to grab some coffee and pastries. They also have fancy pantry products (you can get your rahm haus ice cream here!) They have indoor and outdoor seating too.

Evan B.

Yelp
Cool spot with grocery items, prepared foods, killer pastries and great coffee. The staff was super friendly and they played great music

Sherry W.

Yelp
Owner lied, staff not that nice, deserved to close. Ridiculous and hurtful. The owner lied and said he opened a "wellness fund" for the baristas for tips, therefore charging extra money for drinks, but kept the money for himself. the baristas threw a fit when they found out the place was closing and opened a go fund me page. back in my day, when I got fired, I would go out and find a new job. Not beg random people for money. glad this place closed. A bunch of whining idiots.

Bram S.

Yelp
Amazing wedge and totally delicious chicken salad. Can't wait to return. Also really fun selection of diverse spirits.

Dith P.

Yelp
Nice place. Nothing wrong with it, perfect for tea time and grabbing a quite pastry. Really like their small store in there too. Cozy place to work after hours on your laptop on the couch and enjoy a good warm treat. Will go back!

Felicia M.

Yelp
Rabbit's Foot was amazing! I loved all of the groceries as well as the prepared food and will be back.

Elena Y.

Yelp
Probably my favorite cafe in New Orleans! They have a nice spacious seating area. Good seating options and great music. Tons of natural lighting and a great study spot but there aren't any outlets. They also have a cute bodega with local goods at reasonable prices. Some delicious and fresh pastries, and a unique food menu! Will be back to try the johnny cakes.
