Happy 14th anniversary to the Raleigh wine shop. Great deals, great balance of wines from all around the world. Cheese and other munchies and gifts. These people have great pallets and wine knowledge to take you where you want to be. Enjoy

Google
I recently celebrated my birthday at the Raleigh Wine Shop, and I couldn’t have been more impressed with both the service and overall experience. We reserved the Tasting Room for a private wine tasting, followed by the Green Room for the second half of the event. The staff was incredibly accommodating and attentive, making sure everything ran smoothly. And, of course, the wine was exceptional as always!

Google
Stopped in to pick up a gift and wished we could have stayed. Such a welcoming place, staff knew so much about the wines. The charcuterie looked fantastic and the wine bar was cool. Great outside area, bar are and back room. Would love to come back to spend time at this store/wine bar.

Laura Thrower

Google
The new location is absolutely amazing! Can’t wait to use some of the private spaces for a party…the “green room” is exactly the type of wine lounge our neighborhood has been waiting for! The expanded selection of bottle wines and upcoming food programs are so exciting! Love all the seating throughout too!

Google
I thoroughly enjoyed my first wine tasting experience here. I attended the sparkling wine course. James was a very educated and informative instructor. I gained quite a bit of knowledge of sparkling wines in a span of 2 hours. I had a lot of fun. I would definitely take another course here the next time I’m in Raleigh.

Google
I need help getting a gift card and having it delivered to someone in Raleigh. Seth at the Raleigh Wine Shop could not have been more helpful! It was a really good experience all around.

Google
This place is absolutely the best, their selection of champagne and sparkling wines is pristine! I bought a bottle of a small batch champagne and felt in love with it! Super nice small little patio where you can seat down and enjoy some wine - buy your bottle and grab some snacks at the store and you are ready to roll. They offer a good selection of chilled bottles too and the service is outstanding! Definitely recommend for wine aficionados!

Charlotte Collins

Google
The perfect wine store, with a vibe. Nice bar included for you to grab a snack and share a bottle of wine from a great selection. Nice arranged table top for 2 or more in front. *small pet approved for outdoor seating area.

Yelp
This is a cute wine shop. My friend and I stopped in to enjoy a few glasses of wine and had a fun time. We browsed the selection of wine to take home and thought that it was good. If you are in DTR check out The Raleigh Wine Shop.

Yelp
We love finding and supporting local. Check this place out. Thoroughly enjoyed our red tasting with Kim our wine connoisser was awesome. If you are visiting mo brainer to stop in for a glass of wine!

Yelp
Great little find down town Ralleigh. You can buy wine, taste wine, do a wine tasting-even have a freshly made charcuterie board. We went to the back bar tasted some wine and beer - the bartender was super nice, helpful and friendly. The menu changes. I ended up with the sangria- it had fresh orange slice was refreshing and tasty. We sat inside- there was also a patio if you wanted to sit outside.

Yelp
Endured a rough first date here recently, made more painful by how dead it was inside - no distractions! I was so surprised it wasn't packed, because it's an absolutely lovely space with an amazing selection, both bottle and glass. Perhaps the tucked-away location down Bloodworth works against it, but with lot parking that easy, it really shouldn't.... Light-filled interior, absolutely delightful staff... I'll be back to create better memories for sure.

Yelp
Friendly and knowledgeable, the staff are great. Outside seating is a nice touch!! Favorite wine shop in Raleigh!

Yelp
I love everything about this place! Great prices, outstanding wine selection, and fabulous service. They've now added charcuterie boards which just makes this place even better. If you like wine, cheese, or meat, don't wait! Go there now!
google avatar

Lauriel E.

Yelp
Would not recommend charcuterie trays. I was very disappointed in one that I ordered a couple of months ago for a party (I'm just getting around to doing a review). Not only was it smaller than what we discussed, but the way it was just thrown together with what looked like scraps, was very sad. I was embarrassed to put it out for my guests.

Yelp
We hadn't been to this new location of TRWS and it is so well positioned now for plenty of parking, a lot of room for wine and a huge patio to bring your well behaved furry friend. We attended a wine and cheese tasting event through Offline was a delightful experience here at The Raleigh Wine Shop. The carefully curated selection of wines and cheeses created a harmonious blend of flavors. The knowledgeable hosts provided interesting insights into each pairing, enhancing the overall enjoyment. It was a wonderful opportunity to explore and appreciate the nuances of different wine and cheese combinations. If you get the chance to swing by for a snack and drinks before dinner, or if you're interested in Raleigh's version of "Girl Dinner", this is absolutely a spot you should try.

Yelp
Wanting to send a special bottle to a friend as a gift, I contacted the Raleigh Wine Shop by phone. I spoke with James (the owner, as it turns out) who helped me choose a wine, and arranged to have it hand delivered the following day. Friendly & efficient, James followed up with me via email to confirm my gift message. The lucky recipient sent me this photo the following morning! Thank you, Raleigh Wine Shop for helping to make a Covid birthday a little brighter. Cheers!

Yelp
Really loved my first time at the new location of Raleigh Wine Shop. Staff were super friendly and helpful, and they had an amazing selection. There was nice outdoor seating and the owner was there and kept coming around to the tables to check on us. Overall seemed like a great spot with great people working here. Can't wait to go back!
google avatar

Yelp
Super cute place where they do gift wrap for a dollar. Thats right people, a dollar! The wine tasting was a little formal for my liking but they had a good variety and they were on sale due to having quite a few of them. They offer a place to sit up front for the lounging man or non-wine tagalong with maps of the area which is pretty cool. Super cute joint with good selection and its always nice when everything is marked by price!
google avatar

Adam R.

Yelp
Great service, and super thoughtful/good wine selection. Not your average store. They obviously care and know about wine. Also, perfect for deliveries for local parents!

Yelp
Ok, so I am wowed beyond belief!!! My daughter Mallory and her fiancee Forrest just bought a new home in Raleigh and were moving in today. I called This wine shop as soon as they opened and spoke to Seth... I asked if they can deliver today as I am in New York. Not only did he suggest amazing wines and Champagnes but he said he would put it together in a lovely presentation. Within 1 1/2 hours, they were already popping the cork!!!! Talk about Customer Service... When I come to visit I am going to meet you Seth and bring you a NY-style pizza. Thank you for an AMAZING experience. I don't have a photo of the wine basket but I'll send you a picture of me!!!! Lol

Yelp
As a trained wine professional I highly recommend this shop for insane value in the under $20 price point! Especially for Syrah and Rhone blends, we REALLY enjoyed the wine we found and have returned repeatedly to buy the same wines. Get a case and see how fast it disappears!!!

Sydney S.

Yelp
Could not suggest this place enough! The staff is so knowledgeable and more than willing to help with any questions (literally said email any time with recs). We did a wine tasting and learned so much! We ended up staying after to chat and try some other wines when we interacted with the staff. Class is so worth it and will be back to take another!

Yelp
Cozy, comfortable and inviting, the Raleigh Wine shop on Glenwood Avenue is a nice change of pace for an area that's usually about light beer and dragon shirts. From the old-school hanging sign out front, to the open airy interior, you get the sense that people here do care about their wines but not in the typically snobbish way. Blonde woods on the floor, Enomatic wine machines in the back and bottle after bottle in racks means that you've got a lot of great vino choices in a small place. And prices are decent from under $10 to I'm sure, stratospheric prices but plenty of choices between $10 - $30. And the guys here know their stuff, having moved over from Seaboard Wine Station. They also are very community focused, running cross-marketing events and advertisements with other local businesses in the hood. So if you're an oenophile or just interested in learning more about wine, stop on by and check em out!

Lance D.

Yelp
We live in the neighborhood so I'm afraid of sharing what a gem this place is with the rest of the internet, but it's such a great place I want everyone to experience it! The selection of wine is one of the largest in the city and on top of that you can either pick out wine from the bar or from the shop and drink it while you're there. Recently have added some great charcuterie, great in taste but also price. If you like wine, supporting a local shop, and just having great vibes, definitely check this place out!
google avatar

Yelp
Came to the Bubbly Tasting Extravaganza! GREAT EVENT! You had me at $2 mimosas! It was also good to try a few of the different sparkling wines! Everyone here is so informative and always willing to help you find that special gift for someone or that special bottle for the special occasion ! Go check it out!
google avatar

Maria K.

Yelp
Great variety and knowledgeable staff. We took an intro to wine tasting class here that was fun, delicious, and informative. Prices are decent, most bottles are on $10-25 range, but you can definitely splurge for a more expensive bottle. The owner is very helpful in picking a wine according to your taste. I wouldn't be surprised if he personally tasted them all. Will definitely take more classes here and buy more wine.

Yelp
I've always wanted to check this place out and finally had the opportunity to a few weeks ago. I had a terrible experience! We were not greeted when we entered the establishment even though the place was not crowded. I asked if they sold any Mead as a lot of wine shops do and I love Mead. I was told 'beer bottle shops sell Mead and we are a wine store. Ohhhhh. That seemed unnecessary. I then asked where their local wine section was located only to be told that they do not even sell local wines. What? I thought it was a wine store. The place was cute so I'm sad that it was such a disappointment. I will not be back.

Yelp
A true Glenwood South neighbor! Seth and crew are always accessible with a solid recommendation that's sure to please at any price point. I love that they keep a good stock chilled and ready for enjoyment - there are many times I've called in need for wine in a jiffy and they've had bottles ready for me on just a moment's notice. Cheers, y'all!

Yelp
I went to the Raleigh Wine Shop for a special event, so this review may be a little unconventional. First, the staff the Raleigh Wine Shop were so easy to work with when it came to setting up the event (my friends Erica and Melissa communicated with the shop, but they said it was so easy!). We had a Bachelorette Night / Girl's Night Out that included a bubbly tasting. Melissa and Erica were able to reserve space in the space for a reasonable fee and meet with staff at the shop ahead of the event to pick out which bubblies we'd be tasting. When we arrived, the Raleigh Wine Shop had us all set-up in the back. I cannot remember the name of the person who led our tasting (shame on me), but he was fantastic. He made sure our event ran on time, corralled the group when it was time to taste a new bubbly, and he was very knowledgeable about what we were drinking. The Raleigh Wine Shop allowed up to bring our own apps, which was great! We brought cheese, fruit, and crackers to go with our event. From a cost per person standpoint, it was incredibly reasonable. I highly recommend Raleigh Wine Shop for your wine needs as well as for a fun night of tasting!

Yelp
Came by for a quick wine tasting. And when I mean quick, I mean quick. Like we tasted all 4-5 of the wines... actually they were champagnes. I think that should have been clarified up front, even though the champagnes were fabulous. Also - they had no water or palette cleansers with the wine. Hard to transition to a new glass without something to chase down the prior.

Pam W.

Yelp
We did an 'Intro to wines' class and it was great! Who knew there were so may aromas and flavors that a wine can possibly be! Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!

Yelp
This... is dangerous. I mean, they have WINE TASTING MACHINES, people. I am in trouble. An extremely knowledgeable gentleman (read: horrible horrible enabler) named Seth sold us this wonderful little card that, once inserted into said machine, allows you to select your wine and pour size and go to town on a selection of twelve wines. Find your fav and take a bottle home (or, like us, realize you have too many uncorked at home already and just leave slightly tipsy and feeling more confident in your wine education). This is what shopping for wine should be like. The guys running it know more about their stock than should be legal. It's evident the shop's selection was lovingly and thoughtfully picked, and that makes for a kid-in-a-candy-store type experience for any wine lover (even those of us who still aren't sure how to pronounce the names of the wines we love...). And for those of you who love to entertain, the shop also carries a good assortment of cheeses (many local) and snacks as well as an unusual selection of imported beers for your suds-loving dinner guests. And to you three who run this place... we're about to be best buds.

Yelp
Excellent selection of wines. I wish we'd been there when the wine bar was open, but alas, we missed it. We'll definitely need to go back. It's not an enormous place you can get lost in like some of the huge wine stores, but that's a definite plus. You can get great suggestions about wines and if you, like us, just like to explore, you won't get overwhelmed. I doubt we would find a bad bottle in the store, even if we tried! My daughter (who knows nothing about wine) bought a number of wines for Thanksgiving after a charity event. They were all excellent, and the suggestions spot-on for the variety of tastes with such a large crowd. Highly recommended!

Melodie S.

Yelp
So I walked in the door not realizing that they are not actually "officially" open, but I am delighted to report that the proprietors let me stay and wander around a little. It is really, really cool y'all. The wines are arranged by region, but there are also bins down every aisle that contain varietals and those similar in taste, so essentially it helps expose us to new varietals that we may not have tried because we may have been in a pinot noir rut for 10 years. Amazing, painstakingly chosen selection, local beers, cheeses, nibblies, and a taste-as you-go wine bar with many wines on tap. In love, and only 2 blocks from my office. Uh oh. They officially open 5/21/2011.

Yelp
I'm probably the last one you'd expect to give five stars to a specialty wine shop (Two Buck Chuck works just fine for me...), but each time I've gone in here, I just fall in love a little more. I love their wine tastings-- they often host them on Saturdays and discount the selected wines. When they explain the wine, they make it really accessible-- they don't talk down to you because you're a novice and they're always super down to earth. I also love the organization-- you can choose to peruse by type of wine or by the country of origin. Wines prices are SO reasonable (they're always offering discounts and I've picked up bottles for less than $10) and they're always delicious. My favorite things about this place, however, have been the special events they've thrown. My first time in the store was for the wine cocktail night co-hosted by C. Grace's Matt Bettinger. I never realized how many ways you could use vermouth in a cocktail, and I loved the lessons and recipes he shared. More importantly, I loved the cocktails! My friend and I couldn't stop talking about how much fun it was. The second time was for their one-year anniversary, when they hosted the Boxcarr Farm truck to make specialty burgers from the owner's cookbook Vinoburger. The wine pairings were awesome, the burgers spectacular and I just loved everything about it. I loved it so much, I had to buy the cookbook! Wines are affordable, theres an enomatic for individual tastings and they also stock an array of bitters, beers and cheeses. I mean, c'mon, whats there not to like??!

Yelp
Raleigh Wine Shop is the reason I drink rosé and no longer choose wines based on the label and price. There! I said it! I initially met Seth and Ryan while my boyfriend was looking for something someone with a sophisticated pallate (read: not me) could appreciate. I was holding a bottle with a pretty label (I hate when marketing gimmicks work...) and smirking at the rosé. Seth asked if I was a rosé fan since it was "rosé season", and bc I am a pretentious idiot I scoffed, "No. Pink wine reminds me of 'Sex in the City'. And it's too sweet." Bless his heart for not laughing in my face. He explained the many virtues of rosé, namely that it's NOT sweet (turns out I was prob thinking of The Other Pink Wine: white zin. *shudder*)--it's actually crisp and refreshing. Rosé is a great summer wine and is now my go-to over a vinho verde or pinot grigio. Seth and Ryan both recommended the Charles & Charles, which is about $12 and is fantastic. I've tried literally every other one they stock, and while my bf prefers some of the "funkier" ones, C&C has my heart. I hunt this stuff down whenever I'm out of town, but don't bother looking anywhere else in Raleigh, RWS has the best prices, and the most down-to-earth, awesome staff. If you want to know more about wine or want to select a nice bottle for a special dinner or gift, come here! It is not an intimidating environment at all. They don't care how much you know about wine, they just like it and like talking about it! My bf could give a lecture ab wine and I would fail the quiz at the end, but we both love this place equally :)

Yelp
It can be intimidating for a wine novice to enter the daunting world of wine; "wine knowledge" is often considered to be mysterious and complicated. And sadly, wine culture has a rather unfair reputation for exclusivity and pretentiousness. Fortunately, Raleigh Wine Shop actively strives to challenge this negative perception of wine culture by engendering an enthusiastic, nonjudgmental, and friendly atmosphere. It's a place that welcomes and accommodates people of all "wine knowledge" levels -- from the wine novice to the connoisseur and everyone in between. The social aspects of wine culture can be awkward, too. Tastings can often inspire anxiety. What if you make a faux pas in public? Or, you're not up to snuff in vino jargon? DON'T WORRY! The owners of Raleigh Wine Shop designed the store to encourage exploration and conversation. They are passionate about wine and want to inspire that enthusiasm in you, the customer, by opening the world of wine in a very inviting, open-minded, and kind way. If you have the opportunity, attend one of their FREE wine tastings on a Saturday afternoon. Each week, they feature a new assortment of wines. ASK QUESTIONS. Engage with the owners and staff. Personally, I am more familiar with craft beer and home-brew making, so I always have questions about wine pairings. Everyone at Raleigh Wine Shop is eager to assist and help you with any questions you may have. They are also truly knowledgeable about global and regional wines and explain each wine in a very friendly, accessible, and relatable way. Whether you are looking for high-end wines or more affordable options, Raleigh Wine Shop has a diverse selection of wines at different price points. They also offer a select variety of regional provisions from Hillsborough Cheese Company, Farmhand Foods, and OlliSalumeria that pair nicely with the wines in the shop. Raleigh Wine Shop's humble and unpretentious approach to wine along with their expansive wine selection makes this shop a must visit.

Yelp
What a little neighborhood gem! I absolutely adore the Raleigh Wine Shop! I have been on various occasions and have always left with exactly what I was looking for/needed. It is such a cute little shop filled to the brim with wines and some beers all nicely displayed. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. One of the greatest offers they have is their weeky six bottle variety pack. It is a great way to experience different kinds of wine and would make for a lovely (or a couple lovely) gift! If you sign up for the email list you will get notes when they have their events. They have had many wine tastings that I have attended and they are always a lot of fun. Sometimes they even have sausages to taste! Definitely recommend stopping by!

Yelp
It's hard to resist the free wine tastings on Saturday at the Raleigh Wine Shop! The staff is very knowledgeable, and I've always left the store with a great bottle of wine. While I usually stock up on cheaper wine at Trader Joe's, the Raleigh Wine Shop is my source for wine for special occasions. The beer equivalent of the store is Tasty Beverage in the Warehouse District. The only difference is that the Raleigh Wine Shop closes a bit earlier, since they don't really want to attract the Glenwood crowd. Like Tasty, the wine is organized by country. There are also helpful collections (e.g. light summer wines) around the store. Parking is a breeze, with a free lot next door. Fortunately, I usually walk or R-Line to the shop. If you have kids or you are feeling young at heart, there is a play area in the back of the store (near the dessert wines).

Yelp
I'm putting together a wine tasting date for Valentine's Day and The Raleigh Wine Shop made it the easiest, most enjoyable customer service experience I think I've ever had!

Yelp
Sought this place out while on Glenwood before a concert at Raleigh Amp. What an absolutely LOVELY shop! We were instantly greeted by Seth and asked if we had been there. Citing that we were Raleigh Wine Shop virgins, we received the grand tour. I really dig the bins in between the shelves of wine offering new, adventurous wines based off your already preferential tastes. That's a fantastic way to experience wines that we might not have tried otherwise. Enomatics in the back -- fantastic. Glad to know they also worked closely with Wine Authorities in trading ideas/suggestions (collaboration rocks!) Wine-complementary food fills the back (cheese, meats, etc.) and even some local brews available as well. The prices are SUPER reasonable. This is fantastic for the Raleigh community. Plan on returning for a wine tasting and to take some home.

Yelp
I've been watching and waiting for this place and slightly wary of it since it's opened literally around the corner from my favorite Wine Lounge in Raleigh. I've been curious and a little hopeful about it just the same though because I really do love me some wine. Kristen O. and I stopped by for their grand opening this past Saturday though. They had a good crowd out for the event! We got there at the tail end of their tastings and enjoyed about 4 or 5 of them at the counter courtesy of a very nice wine distributor. Sadly we'd just missed the food tasting though. Plenty of wines that you can pay to taste when there isn't a distributor on site though. After the tasting, we wandered around and looked at their selection. Lookin' pretty good Raleigh Wine Shop! A good selection. Mostly arranged by region from all around the world. Decent prices. Clean, organized, and pretty to look at. Yes, I call wine pretty. I have been to quite a few wine shops and this one thoroughly impressed me.

Yelp
Oenophile's can rejoice!! Best wine shop I've been to...hands down! Seth, Ryan, and Jeff have done an impressive job with the opening of the Raleigh Wine Shop. The space is great - light, airy, clean/modern, with a loft section in the back for wine tastings. They even have an enoteca that allows you to taste many of their selections. They offer free wine tastings every Saturday and often times it includes cheese tastings as well. The best part isn't their space or even their wine selections, but their knowledge and laid back, non-pretentious approach to ensuring you get the absolute best bang for your buck. They search far and wide to bring in quality, rare wine that's also friendly on your wallet. I love perusing their shelves because I learn something every time I do...they have things I've never seen before and they're more than willing to chat you up about each wine. They know the tasting notes on all the wine by memory...it's impressive really. In addition to the amazing wines they offer, they also have some beer...and some really good beer at that! And I'd be remiss if I didn't mention their sake selection - largest selection in one place I've ever seen. Oh - and don't forget to pick up some local cheese or Escazu chocolate bars while you're there! If you're looking for mass produced, grocery store varietal wine, this is not the place for you....and I'd suggest to stop buying mass produced wine :). Come on down to Glenwood South and try some new wines.....you'll be glad you did.

Yelp
5 stars!!! such a fantastic selection with knowledgeable staff and perks of a tasting station and wine by the glass offerings. There are many affordable wines in addition to high end bottles. I decided to check this place out particularly for a wine tasting event and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Afterward when I found out I could enjoy 1oz, 2oz, or 4oz glasses from a selection of 12 wines for fairly priced fees, I was beside myself. Seriously- this girl was like a kid in a candy shop, pressing the machine buttons for customized pours. The place has a cozy couch area one can lounge in while sipping wine as well as a few small outdoor tables. I was very impressed by this place and will be patronizing them again in the future.

Yelp
My mom and I came here for a wine tasting class... I've been to several wine tastings before and I must say this one had a lot more "educational" material involved than any other. It was nice to have the colorful booklet to look at the wine aroma wheel to help pinpoint the smells and accents in each tasting - that's the most difficult part. It was nice to hear the sommelier tell of his experience coming from being a researcher to owning this shop... he gave great insight into how they taste, how often they taste, and how they choose their wines. I'm definitely up to come back, just to hang out in their back couch, take a sip from their self-serving tasting machines and chilling out for a bit before walking elsewhere downtown... Love the sake selection too :)

Yelp
I enjoy wine here, I've spent WAY too much money since they opened, but they have good prices and GREAT selections. They have never let me down picking out a wine either. However.... The only problem I have with going there is that one guy is a complete know it all. Its one thing to be knowledgeable and passionate about what you do, its another to lecture/argue with someone about their own allergies to an offensive extent. So now, I just send my husband there, but its far less often.

Yelp
Ask questions. The staff has answers. I've been in many. many wine shops across the US. I happened to be in Raleigh for Thanksgiving and had the great pleasure of going into and experiencing the Raleigh Wine Shop. What a great shop, with a easy to navigate floor plan and staff that can answer your questions with authority and precision. I could only wish such a great shop might open in Las Vegas. Might I suggest "Raleigh Wine Shop - Las Vegas Branch"??
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
Cute little wine shop with lots of different wine options and lots of different price ranges. The most interesting part of this shop however was there wine fountain machine (like a soda fountain). You can pay for wine by the glass and chill out in seating outside or on some couches, I thought that was really cool.

Yelp
I reached out to Raleigh Wine Shop to have a private wine tasting at my home with some close friends and family. Tristan answered my email and between he and Seth, we set up a great wine pairing menu to go with a six course dinner. Tristan set up early and was ready to pour as soon as our guests arrived. He also helped with setting the table, serving food as well as wine, and keeping us all hydrated with water. He was outstanding. I will be buying more wine from Raleigh Wine Shop to support such a great group of people and the local wine community here in the triangle.

Yelp
Girlfriend and I came in with cupcakes knowing nothing about wine, and the staff were immediately able to identify what we wanted. There were several options in the section she showed us. We picked the one she recommended, and sure enough it was delicious. Will be back, better than total wine!

Yelp
Signed up for the introductory Wine Class, which took place on a Sunday afternoon and lasted 2 hours. I have already signed up for another course because we enjoyed ourselves and learned a lot! The class size is kept to 12 people and we tasted 5 wine selections. There was a gooos balance of instructor-led discussion and time to ourselves to taste and apply skills learned. Our instructor was knowledgable and answered lots of questions. I was surprised that most people in the class hadn't been to that wine store before and seemed as uninformed as me about wine. It was a friendly group! All in all a good time and we got a discount on bottle purchases that day.

Yelp
I was excited to see a wine store open in this convenient location on Glenwood Ave. The space is bigger than I expected and is packed full of wine from every region. I love the setup with the different wine regions displayed like street signs. I found some great choices for grabbing some wine on a whim, as well as, more expensive, special occasion wines. Although we stopped in after 4pm and their daily wine tasting was over, I still took a look at that area. There's a small bar with stools for tasting and conversing with fellow wine lovers and your Wine Shop expert. To the left of the bar, they have wines "on tap". There are wine spouts built into the wall with by the glass pricing. I love it! What a great idea. Be sure to check out the beer selection too. It's all the way in the back, and pretty small, but there are some unique options.

Yelp
Went here for the first time last week and were warmly greeted by Seth. He offered assistance with finding wine, and kindly advised us how to use the wine tasting machines. The selection here is good. You find some interesting wines here that you don't find in the supermarket. There are cozy areas both inside and outside to enjoy the wine tastings. Would be a place that I would frequent if I lived in Raleigh!

Yelp
One of my favorite locally owned wine shops! Great selection, for all price points. The staff is always friendly and happy to help find you something you'll love that you may have never tried before. I love that Raleigh Wine Shop has free wine tastings often!

Yelp
I was extremely excited to see this place open. I went in to check it out by myself and was greeted by Seth and Ryan who are very easy to talk to and knowledgeable about their wines. The wine selection at the tasting bar is varied and all delicious. The wine selection throughout the store covers a wide spectrum without being overwhelming. Hopefully, they will be able to extend their hours soon!! Great addition to Glenwood!

Yelp
An excellent shop with a variety of options for all palates and wallets, the Raleigh Wine Shop destroys the stereotype of wine as being snobby or exclusive! If you know what you're looking for the shop is laid out cleanly and easy to navigate, with regions and styles clearly identified. Not sure what you want? Just ask any of the helpful staff! If you can throw out a few adjectives, they can find a wine to suit your needs. If you'd like to learn more about wines, they offer tasting events where you can try various types while learning about what makes them distinct, all in a casual, welcoming environment, or you can purchase various glasses to enjoy in-shop from their clever wine-dispensing wall. Whether you're an aficionado or just starting out, the Raleigh Wine Shop is a destination for all your vinous requirements!
