The 19 Best Restaurants In Anaheim

"Situated on an industrial stretch of Southeast Anaheim, The Ranch is your one-stop shop for big, crowd-pleasing dinners and mild debauchery in Anaheim. On one side of the massive complex sits the restaurant, which is a typical upscale steakhouse with big platters of meat, well-made martinis, and long tables filled with coworkers in town for a convention. On the other side, though, is the saloon, where things can get wild in a honky-tonk hurry. Expect competitive line dancing, live country music, and people in their sixties ripping shots on a Wednesday night because it's almost the weekend." - brant cox

The Ranch

"There may not be many cowboys in these parts, but there are plenty of decorative elements and music they’d covet at this urban steakhouse with farm to table touches. The menu is meat-centric, but also focuses on seasonal vegetables grown on their own farm. Pay close attention to daily specials and you might just be rewarded with an heirloom tomato salad bursting with ripeness. Unless you have the appetite of a rancher, these dishes are best shared. Crisp popovers served with sweet homemade tomato jam are a can't miss, and the prime rib is ultra-tender with jus, horseradish sauce and a cast-iron skillet bubbling with cheese-topped scalloped potatoes. Top it all off with their PB&J milk chocolate bar, an upscale take on a familiar favorite." - Michelin Inspector

This is an interesting and fun place! We came to celebrate my wife's birthday. At first glance it looks like a warehouse. Just a bit building with lots of parking. Upon entering the front door, we in see a restaurant that is so cozy, fancy and friendly. Supposedly, the owner also owns his own farm. So from time to time the menu can change. Most items are organic. We were very intrigued to hear this from the server. I believe our server's name is Samuel. He was so pleasant and helpful to explain and guide us through what to order. Most steaks are big portion so you can share. I think we ended up ordering the 50oz porterhouse. That thing was a beast! Very delicious! We also ordered the escargots, macaroni and scallops. The macaroni is especially good. It goes well with the steak! Of course we have to pack leftovers. There is a club next door they call it the Saloon. I think they have performance like country music and bars. We might check that out next time. The place is very safe, and parking is plenty and free. We had a great time and definitely highly recommended. Don't forget to try the ranch coffee!

It was my first time dining at the Ranch. The building looks like a regular office building, but don't let that fool you. Upon entering the restaurant it's breathtaking! The music the leather couches and the beautifully placed liquor bottles in the glass shelves. The waiter (Juan) was amazing and his recommendations were absolutely brilliant! he recommended the porterhouse steak for 2. Vicente was the waiters assistant and he was great! Always made sure our drinks were topped off and made sure we didn't have empty plates in front of us. This place is definitely worth every penny!

We had an exceptional experience at The Ranch for my wife’s birthday. From start to finish, the service and food were outstanding. Our steaks were cooked to perfection tender, flavorful, and clearly made with care. The drinks were equally impressive, well-crafted and balanced. The staff really elevated the evening. They explained the menu clearly, made thoughtful recommendations, and checked in on us often without being intrusive. It made us feel genuinely taken care of. The only downside was the bread. While it looked great when it arrived, it was unfortunately very dry and not up to par with the rest of the meal. Yes, it’s on the pricier side but for the quality of food, service, and overall experience, it’s absolutely worth it. We’ll definitely be back.

Came for my birthday dinner and had the most wonderful experience. From the hostess, to the servers and bussers, the service was excellent. So attentive but not intrusive. Anticipated all of our needs, and made wonderful recommendations. The food was so amazing, everything cooked to perfection and with amazing ingredients. Can't wait to come back.

We came here really looking forward to a great steakhouse experience, especially for a bone-in ribeye or even a standard ribeye. But surprisingly, neither was available on the menu that night. I ended up ordering the dry-aged prime rib, and unfortunately, it really missed the mark for me. The cut was overly thick and far too fatty to enjoy. For a place that presents itself as a high-end steakhouse, I expected better. My wife did enjoy her grass fed filet, and to be fair, the cocktails were excellent! That was probably the highlight of our evening. We stayed in a hotel close by and took a Lyft and so we could relax and enjoy the night out, but overall, the experience just didn’t live up to the price point or our expectations. One more heads up that I didn’t realize there was a business casual dress code. It was early June, and I wore gray shorts with a nice button up. I didn’t pack a pair of pants! We had a reservation for indoor seating and were being led to a nice booth, but just before we were seated, someone stopped the hostess and said we had to be moved outside because of my shorts. It wasn’t the end of the world, but the way it was handled felt a bit awkward and disappointing, especially since nothing about the reservation process made the dress code clear. All in all, for the cost and the reputation, we left feeling a bit let down.

First time here. Very fancy. The manager was nice enough to give me information about their rare whiskey . Please don’t come with small pockets. These plates are not for the weak. Your bill will stack up within seconds of ordering. I highly recommend the lock stock and barrel drink 🥃🔥🔥🔥 We did not have time to go to the Salon next-door, but we will come back. It looks like fun.

pretty love

I wasn't NOT expecting what happened. And how this place is. Don't worry it's all good. Let's get into it. From the moment I parked to the moment we walked in from the doors opening, to the hostess stand/counter this was a great first impression. We were a party of 4. They gave excellent corner seating at a booth. Once we sat down we were attended to immediately. And it didn't stop there. We were attended to continuously. Probably some of the BEST service at a steak house I've ever received. And I'm not exaggerating. I've been to your basics BOA, Masteos etc all trash. THIS was a far different experience. More personal and professional with everything provided. From the menu and its explanation. From the food to the specials. Our waiter Jose C did an outstanding job. With professionalism, clear speech and easy understanding that all the menu has to offer. From start to finish I don't have a single complaint. Let's move onto the food. Ceviche trilogy. This is as mixed.. the crab one tasted like imitation crab... even though they swear it wasn't... I don't know I think I know my crab lol. It's ok if you use it as a filler for using real crab and that's what they did. But just admit it. That's my only issue. However the heirloom and lobster mango ceviche was INSANE. Absolutely delicious. Cooked perfectly in citrus. Marinated just right. Highly recommend just asking for those two if possible. NY strip. Seasoned and cooked to perfection. Medium rare. One of the best NY strips I've ever had. Without a doubt. Five onion soup/french onion soup. Not too salty. Just the right amount of savory. Onions caramelized perfectly. Cheese melted perfectly. Can't go wrong with this if you like a good French onion soup. The drinks were amazing too! They don't skimp on the liquor and mixtures. Had a few and they were outstanding. I highly recommend the "now you see me" So would I recommend this place? I think that should be obvious by now. YES. If you like steak houses and want a different atmosphere. A bit more classy and less loud. With a much more sophisticated and older crowd? Go here. Enjoy!

Yelp
Such an incredible experience. The pork chop is to die for and big enough to split between 2 people. The people watching is phenomenal!

Yelp
What a fun spot to eat and learn how to line dance! The pace of the class was fairly quick, but after repetitively practicing more than five times, my friends and I were finally able to get the steps down. The saloon was such a fun part of the restaurant! There's a restaurant side and the line dancing side, which also includes food and drinks as well. There are two bars located on the saloon side. My friends and I came here to celebrate three birthdays and boy was it one to remember! The appetizers were so good, we ate them so quickly after we broke a sweat from all the dancing. I never understood the hype of Chilean Seabass, but this one was really good. The ones that I've tried were almost flavorless, but this one was packed with flavor and it paired so well with rice. Nachos were bomb, but when I got to the chips with jalapeños on it, my mouth was on fire! It was fine after I took the jalapeños off though.

Yelp
I found this place after searching through Yelp for a nice restaurant for a holiday family dinner and I was soooo satisified with our experience here. I made reservations through OpenTable, and had to call them on the day of because 2 of my family members got sick so we had to change the party number. Our server (I forgot her name, I'm sorry!) was absolutely amazing. She was so helpful in explaining the menu and giving us recommendations for both food and drinks. My family ordered wine, and I got a Ranch Water cocktail, which was delicious and festive. The bread that comes out was so delicious! The loaf was shaped like a flower, and each section was a different type of bread. I fell in love with the jalapeno and whole wheat. For a party of 4, we ordered to share - the clam chowder, scallops, sea bass, and porterhouse steak. Everything was so delicious and cooked to perfection! My family and I loved every single dish. The restaurant is actually located on the first floor of a huge office(?) building, but that also means there's plenty of parking. The ambiance inside is cozy, intimate, and spacious - my family loved the vibe of the place! The Ranch is the perfect place to celebrate a special occasion and I'll definitely be keeping them on my list of places to take my loved ones!

Yelp
We were in town visiting family and they took us here for dinner. I'm not going to lie, the food was really amazing. We had the prime rib that we split and the restaurant actually split the meal for us ahead of time and had it all ready on two separate plates for us. Presentation was top notch! The ambiance is very modern and classy! Madison was our server and she was very attentive! Ask for her!

Yelp
Service was wonderful I'm sorry didn't catch his name tall blonde handsome man. We shared the prime rib which was so delicious and juicy medium rare. The sides were all very good . I loved the crunchy top on the scallop potatoes . The cream spinach might have the best I've had. The lobster Mac and cheese was very good as well. The restaurant is beautiful we always end up near the bar in the booths which is perfectly fine haven't been in the main dining area so not sure how loud it gets in there . Anyways even sharing our prime rib we were stuffed and had leftovers to take home . Soo bring your appetite because you're going to be full

Yelp
I came here on a Saturday night during a family reunion. You absolutely need to book reservations in advance as when we tried to do it just 2 days prior, the only available dinner time was 8:45 PM which was a bit late for us. There is $7 valet parking available to use and they were quick to retrieve our car when we left. Our waiter was polite and also bilingual which was excellent as my family varies in their English speaking proficiency. My only complaint was that though we had an 8:45 reservation, we were unable to be seated until approximately 30 minutes after our reservation time. Cucumber vodka martini 4.5/5, swapped gin for vodka, DELIGHTFUL, the cucumber is strong and flavorful and the vodka is definitely present but hidden under the cucumber and lime The Ranch Water cocktail 4/5, my dad got this but he did acknowledge that the alcohol was weak Chilean sea bass 4.5/5, soft and melts in your mouth, however the portion is quite small you will absolutely need a side with this if you are hungry at all Lamb chops (well done) 5/5, still soft inside and melts in your mouth, seasoning on exterior is beautifully done, but you may need a small side if you are hungry New York steak 4/5, I thought it was juicy but this was unevenly cooked throughout, ranging from medium to rare which I didn't like. I felt like the edges with some inner pieces were the best but it pairs best with the sauce it comes with Lobster Mac n cheese 3.75/5; this was a nicer version of Mac and cheese and def a diff creamy cheese situation but the price was expensive for the portion size and the lobster pieces were tiny and genuinely covered entirely when eating a piece of pasta, I would recommend only getting this if you're not hungry and just want a small meal Pecan Pie 1.5/5, I wouldn't get this again, it was super nutty and weirdly thick?? Cheesecake 3/5, we got this as my cousin was celebrating his birthday, pretty much a standard average cheesecake

Yelp
The Ranch has been on my bookmark for years so when my BF requested steak for his birthday, I knew I wanted to take him here. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by their friendly staff and Christmas decor that added to their warm ranch style vibes. My BF ordered their Manhattan and he said it was really good and strong. We started with their house bread and escargots. I love the adventure we went down, trying the different breads and loved dipping our bread into the garlic butter of escargots. Of course we had to get their cowboy rib eye. We got it medium rare and it came out perfect...the perfect amount of seasoning and loved that they had different sauce to pair with it. Their scalloped potatoes and the lobster Mac and cheese elevated the steak eating experience. The cowboy rib was definitely on our top 5 steaks we've ever had. So that's saying a lot! Our amazing server Juan (he deserves a raise! best service) ended our meal with their Tahitian Vanilla Bean Crème Brûlée to help celebrate my BF's birthday. It was soooooo good. We loved our experience here so much that we have already made plans to come back and dine again with Juan!

Yelp
Every year, we celebrate our kids' birthdays by dining at a special restaurant, and this year, we chose The Ranch. This was my second visit to The Ranch, and just as I remembered, it's an upscale fine dining restaurant. The interior beautifully combines Western charm with luxurious design, and the dim lighting adds a romantic touch. For appetizers, we had fresh scallops that were exquisitely tender and melted in the mouth. Our main course featured perfectly cooked New York strip and filet mignon, paired with grilled asparagus that was both crisp and flavorful. Complemented by the sommelier's recommended red wine, the meal was simply beyond words. For dessert, the Hazelnut Crunch Bar stood out with its unique flavor and balanced sweetness--it was truly delightful! We were also deeply appreciative of the restaurant's thoughtful preparation of a fresh mango sorbet for my lactose-intolerant daughter, making her feel equally cared for. The service was exceptional, with great attention to detail and professionalism. Overall, it was another experience that exceeded our expectations and left us thoroughly impressed!

Yelp
Some friends were entertaining a visitor from out of the country and decided to take him to the Ranch. I was invited and I was in the mood for a good steak so I tagged along. I have eaten here several times and have always had a good experience. The Ranch actually has two completely separate halves. One half is a traditional classy restaurant, and the other half is the saloon which is set up with more of a clubby feel with music and dancing. We dined in the regular restaurant on this occasion. They have valet parking right by the front door which I believe was $8. You can also park for free in the adjacent small business lots. We were seated promptly for our 5:45pm reservation. Server assistant Vicente quickly got us set up with water and shortly thereafter brought us their nice complementary bread which is a freshly baked cluster of seven rolls, each one a different flavor. Our main server Reno was pleasant and took good care of us throughout the evening. The kitchen seemed a little slow on this visit. A few people did have salads for a starter, but our entrees didn't arrive for almost 90 minutes after we were initially seated. I ordered the 16 ounce prime angus New York strip medium rare. It was cooked perfectly and there was very little fat on this big cut of meat. The presentation was nice and there was a good amount of pearl onions, mushrooms, and pancetta. There weren't many of the duck fat confit dutch potatoes and I only tasted a few pieces of the blue cheese crumble. I had a glass of the Decoy Cabnernet blend which paired well with the steak. Overall, it was another nice dinner and a 4.5 to 5 star experience. However, I only dine here probably once every few years. While their cuts of meat are large, this is easily the most expensive steak house I have been to in the area. Their fish, chicken, and other dishes are on the more pricey side as well. I'd rather dine at another five star restaurant and get near the same quality for a good amount less.

Yelp
I've been to The Ranch a few times and each time it gets better and better. My husband and I went for our third wedding anniversary. The location is in a peculiar area so if it's your first time visiting don't be weirded out that you're driving into a business area. There is ample self parking next to the restaurant as the front is reserved for valet. Ambiance is great with a few different dining areas. Since we've been here a few times we decided to go a little different route and orders the pork chops and chicken. They were both cooked perfectly! It's always a gamble because I feel like these items can come out very dry but it wasn't and it was cooked to perfection. The chicken was mostly boneless with a small wing bone so it was easy to eat (last thing you want is to be gnawing chicken bone out at a nice dinner). The only mildly disappointing item was our truffle fries. Did not taste like truffle at all and felt more like frozen bag fries that cost an arm and a leg. For the price I would expect more truffle flavor or something special. Overall we were satisfied with our meal and service. We had great service
google avatar

Yelp
Food 5/5 Service 5/5 Ambiance 5/5 We got the cowboy ribeye and it was amazing. The lobster mac & cheese isn't your typical mac & cheese. Not as cheesy but has more seasoning. You also can't taste the lobster unless you actually eat the lobster pieces. I've had lobster mac & cheese at other places and you can taste the lobster flavor in the pasta. We also got the BLT wedge, kale salad, and sticky toffee pudding. There were complimentary bread which we all enjoyed and a complimentary creme brulee for my birthday. It's not a place to bring kids unless you want to pay a premium for a kids meal. We got seated in a booth where it was really dark and the kids kept saying how dark it was. Overall, it was a good experience though.

Yelp
I always pass by The Ranch every time I drive on Ball Road towards Disneyland, but never stopped by here. Apparently, my friend comes here quite a bit. We decided to get dinner and picked here as the venue. First things first, this place is a LOT bigger than I thought it would be. I thought it would be a medium-sized restaurant. No, this place is MASSIVE. A lot of tables, but spaced out really well so you feel like you have your own space. High ceilings and really modern decor. Very comfortable dining experience. Food here was pretty spectacular, much better than I was even expecting. Quick rundown below: 1. Braised Pork Belly: This was actually off the farm menu as a starter, which is a seasonal menu that changes frequently. It was good, but the portion size could have been bigger. 2. Caesar Salad: Really fresh and had some very big croutons. Enjoyed this one. 3. Gold Canyon Premium Black Angus 21-Day Aged Prime Rib: I had been craving prime rib for a while, and all the pictures I saw of this were spot on. Had to get it! This was easily the most perfectly cooked, medium rare prime rib I've ever had. It had a ton of flavor too even without the au jus. Creamy horseradish was also a great complement. Also came with a side of scalloped potatoes! Definitely one of the best prime ribs I've ever had. 4. Twice Baked Potato: I was trying to figure out exactly why this was twice baked. And then I realized they had actually scooped up the potato on the inside, whipped it with bacon, and then topped it with even more mashed potatoes on top. Yeah, this was fantastic. 5. Truffle Mac N' Cheese: Well, they certainly did not skimp on the truffle at all! Really well made. Cheesy, but not overpowering. Quite delectable. 6. Pumpkin Cheesecake: I mean, they had me at cheesecake. Really good with promised pumpkin flavors. The ice cream that came with it was the perfect complement! Service here is great, no complaints from me. Our server took good care of us. And everyone here is really nice! Parking is also very spacious outside and free. There is a valet parking option for $8 if you do want to take it. Overall, The Ranch was surpassed my expectations for it. I can see why my friend comes here all the time. Definitely worth future return visits!

Yelp
Very tasty but overpriced. I've had better for a lot less. Decore is ho-him. $75 for a 10 oz filet? Hmmmm?

Yelp
Double date night with my boyfriend, my brother, and sister-in-law. The boyfriend and I got there early and started at the bar for a pre-dinner cocktail, Grey Goose and coke for me, a a Chopin up for my boyfriend. I mentioned to my boyfriend that they definitely don't water down their vodka as I could actually taste it. LOL When my brother and sister-in-law arrived they grabbed a quick drink. Only downside to the evening is they really wanted to seat us at our table as soon as possible. I get it but sometimes it puts a rush on an otherwise comfortable evening. Let me say that the bartenders were wonderful! We started with a 4oz appetizer side of Prime Wagyu to share from the specials menu. It was tender and flavorful but we should have asked it to be cooked a little more as the middle was a bit mushy. The outside sear was nice though. Three of us had the Caesar salad which is always good. My boyfriend said his shrimp cocktail was mediocre...medium sized possibly frozen shrimp (don't think they were fresh). Both couples ordered the Prime cowboy rib eye to share. Was a very tender piece of meat but I really do prefer a thinner steak just for myself. Dessert was cheese cake and the Valrohna chocolate. Both good but not extraordinary. Overall a good night. Our waiter, Reno, was excellent...patient, accommodating and treated our very expensive wines (brought our own) with care.

Yelp
To celebrate my husband's birthday, I made a reservation for this place so he has a special day. Since this is our first visit, we were very excited. The curiosity of a restaurant being in Extron building was finally being resolved. What was more interesting is that there were two doors one going to the restaurant and the other to the saloon. As soon as we entered the restaurant, the staff at the front greeted us and seated us immediately. On our way to our seats, we were mesmerized by the elegant cowboy western style interior with different kinds of alcohol bottles displayed in a glass shelves, eye catching bar, chic lights, etc. The server was helpful choosing the menu and prompt on the service. We both ordered Prime Rib with Lobster Mac n' Cheese and the portion was quite large that we end up taking rest home. The prime rib was cooked in perfection but it was quite salty. Very nice touch with the warm au jus and tangy horseradish on the side though. The potato gratin that came as a side with the prime rib was soft, warm and buttery that I could've ate it all on one seat. The lobster mac n' cheese instantly stole our hearts with chunks of juicy lobster and al dente pasta in creamy sauce. Overall experience was magical and I deeply appreciate all the staff for making this day unforgettable for both of us.

Yelp
TBH, this place is a 5 star in terms of customer service but there are a couple of things I would tweak to make it perfect. The bf took me here for my bday last night. From the hostess to our waitress Denise and our servers, they were very warm and welcoming. Denise was very knowledgeable of the menu and gave great recs with drinks and food. Kudos to her for being so accommodating and kind! The restaurant is on the pricier side but it showed in the quality of food and service. First off, that flower shaped spread of bread was so pretty and oh so delicious. I coulda just ate the entire thing for dinner and be happy. The butter however was hard as a rock so my rec would be to keep the butter at a nice temp where it's spreadable or just get whipped butter. The drink menu is extensive!!!! So many hard liquor and wine to choose from. Bf got a drink (forgot the name) but I skipped since I'm more of a cocktail kinda gal and their cocktail list was short and unenticing. Which brings me to my next suggestion- to add more cocktails that are more flavorful than strong in alcohol content. For entree, I got the sea bass and bf got the prime rib. Portions are huge!! The sea bass was perfectly cooked and the bed of risotto was divine. Prime rib was flavorful and tender, speaking from someone who usually doesn't like prime ribs. We got the pots de creme from the seasonal farm menu per Denise's recs and it was bomb.com. I also got coconut ice cream as free dessert for my bday but I was not a fan since it was overly coconut-y. Plenty of parking. Ambiance is sophisticated/elevated steakhousy western feel but nicely done. Right next to their dancing saloon if you want to dance out the calories from dinner. I also like that they use seasonable foods and partners with local rangers and farmers.

Yelp
While on vacation in California for Disneyland my wife and I decided to treat the family to a fancy dinner. So I did what I always do and hit up Yelp for some assistance. The Outside - this establishment certainly looked the part. It was very warm and inviting. We showed a little early for our reservation, but got to take some nice family photos while we waited. The Inside - The inside was amazing! Very clean, warm and inviting. There was a beautiful display of all their most high end whiskey, very impressive. The Staff - The staff was exactly what I'd expect at this sort of establishment. Professional, clean, extremely polite and timely. Our waitress really knew her stuff and made us all feel very comfortable. The Drinks - The only drink I ordered was my standard Old Fashioned with rye. They carried wild turkey 101, which is my preferred when ordering an Old Fashioned. The drink was arguably the best Old Fashioned I've ever had. Considering how many I've had in my lifetime that's high praise. The Food - so this is where it gets interesting...and not good interesting. For starters we ordered a bread medley which was several types of bread cooked together. It was quite tasty and every one enjoyed it. The second starter was a pork belly dish, seasonal. This dish was not great nor was it bad, it was in fact very average. For the main dishes we ordered: Bone Marrow crusted fillet. My wife ordered this. It was sadly not nearly as good as she was hoping for. It seemed bland which is the opposite of what I think either my wife or I was anticipating. We also ordered: 40oz 28 day dry aged bone in New York Delmonico. My son and I shared this cut. This cut, or perhaps how it was prepared, was the most disappointing of all the cuts. It very underwhelming in both flavor and texture. Lastly we ordered: 16oz New York Strip. My daughter ordered this cut. This cut was superb! Both the taste and the texture on this were excellent and I would recommend ordering this cut out of the three listed. How can I put this delicately. If you take into consideration the amount of money that you will be spending vs. the flavors of your meat...I'd say it wasn't worth it. I know I'm probably going to get a lot of people saying that it's not the case or that perhaps it's just me.... And that's fair. But for my money not worth it. I hope that your experience is better than mine and that mine was a one off. Best of luck and happy eating!!!

Yelp
My husband took me here for my birthday and I think we've been here just about every year for the last eight or so. Usually we get prime rib, but we had quite a bit of prime rib during the holiday so decided to pick something different. Our server was Shelia and she was excellent as all the servers, etc. are. I had two regular old fashions that were perfect and my husband had Bombay Sapphire on the rocks. We shared a heirloom beet salad that was fantastic with almonds. I had the chili and Seabass with risotto and my husband had the lamb chops. The Seabass was perfect crispy on the outside moist on the inside and everything that came with it was very flavorful. For my birthday I picked out of three desserts crème brûlée. Nothing ever disappoints me here it's a beautiful place. I usually request a booth and I always get it. Be aware that they have valet service, which is eight dollars right now. Some people parked in another parking lot. Also if you eat there, you can go next-door and do line dancing without the cover charge.

Yelp
We celebrated dad's birthday here. It is a fine dining style and the portions were big for a big fam. They started with a complimentary appetizer that was rolled with different flavored in house freshly baked bread! My favorite was the scallops! They were obviously tasty and fresh. The ceviche trilogy is my second favorite because each was unique to my palate!! The service was topnotch too! Our server, sorry I forgot your name. He was attentive and his recommendations were very helpful and made sure we all had a tummy filled night!

Yelp
Went here yesterday for my birthday with my boyfriend at 8pm reservation it was one of the best nights I had the food was amazing. The service was so attentive and they were all super kind. The lighting was so cozy and perfect. It's amazing for date nights and of course birthday dinner. Portion sizes are great too !!!

Yelp
The Ranch is a nice option if you're looking for a real steakhouse without having to drive to LA (although I'm always down to do so.) i got the tomahawk because i can't resist when there's a tomahawk ribeye on the menu. It was cooked medium rare, just as it should be ,and was delicious. The bread you get to start is also a highlight and i always get a Caesar salad when im having steak. Really enjoyable meal!!!

Yelp
Amazing food and service. If you want a good stake this is the place to come. The ambiance is romantic.

Yelp
Delmonico is simply a huge roast. Clients left to their own devices to share, using table steak knifes. Limited to 2 people sharing at $180. Prime Rib, okay at $80, not special, just a large piece of meat. Quail appetizer, fried like chicken fingers on a pile of potatoe salad. An appetizer to share but, no spoon to share potatoe salad. Over all, high priced for a not very special meal.

Yelp
We love coming here to celebrate our special occasions! The atmosphere, service, and delicious food makes for the perfect trifecta! The Ranch never disappoints!

Yelp
Late post but wanted to make sure proper acknowledgments were made for the waitstaff, service, and food at the Ranch! Jesus was our waiter and brother could've been a bartender, sommelier, and a chef at the restaurant. This is a special occasion restaurant that my wife put together for our family of 4 and we had a blast. I got the NY strip and it was cooked perfectly and what sets it apart is the cab sauv reduction sauce they serve with it. GM Chad and another server named Christian were terrific on the night as well making sure we enjoyed our dinner.

Yelp
Was in Anaheim for a staycation and wanted a good piece of steak and found this steakhouse. When you walk in the restaurant you are welcomed by the dim and ambient lighting and elegant decor. Definitely a great place for a date night. Service 15/5: our server Ian was HILARIOUS. Made us laugh the entire dinner and checked on us often but never made it feel awkward or weird. Drinks: Yellow watermelon margarita: 5/5. It was wonderfully fruity without being too sweet Food: Complimentary bread: 5/5. Taste of 6 types of bread is a great start to any meal French onion soup: 4.5/5. Probably the best French onion soup I've had in a LONG TIME. Super flavorful and the gruyere cheese is top quality. It was a tad too salty for my taste though. Porterhouse: 4/5. Seasoned beautifully. The tenderloin was cooked to perfection and tender. However the strip side was definitely not a medium rare and more of a medium as far as temperature goes. Definitely a lot tougher than I want in a steak. Porterhouse comes with a free side which is good value. We got the grilled asparagus which was cooked well and complemented our meal. Flourless chocolate cake: 4/5. After a heavy meal wanted to finish with something less decadent so we chose the flourless cake. Tasty, not too sweet and complemented well with the berry compote. Definitely a great find in Anaheim. Must try!

Yelp
This is my family's go to Steak Restaurant. If we can find any special occasion or reason to go to The Ranch we will always pick here over other steak restaurants. You're paying for a premium steak and service experience. We always request Rito as our waiter because he has become like family to us. He's extremely personable and professional ensuring our family is always treated with 5 stars service. Unfortunately, Rito will be leaving to Vegas to pursue his own business ventures, which I couldn't be happier about. He will be missed but now we have a reason to visit Vegas and visit him at his new restaurant. Time and time again The Ranch never disappoints and if you're looking for a special dish I highly recommend trying their Delmonico uncut. It's delicious!!!

Yelp
This has become one of my favorite steakhouses to dine at. Drove all the way from San Diego to try this for a birthday dinner and it was worth it. Everything from the ambiance, service, food was amazing. Our server did a great job at explaining the top recommended choices + # of portions each entree/appetizer had for us to order family style to share. Everything came out in a timely manner, our water was always refilled, each plate that we ordered was delicious. We ordered the porterhouse steak, and the meat was so tender and flavorful.

Yelp
Back for that Cheesecake!!!!!! We LOVE the cheesecake here. It's fluffy and cheesy and the best. We literally came back for the cheesecake lol I ordered the pan seared salmon dish and that was delicious! The salmon was perfect. It melted in my mouth. 10/10 My fiancé got the New York steak and said that was phenomenal. 10/10 We also shared the truffle Mac N cheese, truffle fries and each had the cream of corn soup. The truffle Mac n cheese was not cheesy enough. It had too much truffle going on and didn't taste like Mac n cheese. We wouldn't get that again. 4/10 The cream of corn was a strong corn flavor. Must love corn to appreciate this dish lol 7/10 We liked the truffle fries dipped in ranch. The ranch at The Ranch was tasty lol Tasted like homemade ranch! Yum! Truffle fries with ranch 10/10 Service was impeccable! 10/10 Atmosphere dark and elegant. 10/10

Yelp
Came here for a splurge of yummy steak and food for my birthday last week! The Ranch has been in my saves for a bit since I've seen the rave reviews about it. I'm a foodie and ESPECIALLY a big steak fan, so I am a little pickier when it comes to steakhouses. Now onto the food: Truffle Mac n Cheese: 9.5/10 Prime rib: 8.7/10 Scalloped potatoes included with the prime rib: 2/10 Porterhouse: 7/10 Crème brûlée: 6/10 Cheesecake: 4/10 We LOVED the truffle Mac n Cheese. OMG. It was absolutely delicious! Big fan would highly recommend if you're willing to splurge! The only reason it's not a perfect 10/10 is simply because we wish the portion was bigger and we could've had more. I'm a prime rib girly through and through when it comes to steakhouses. I really enjoyed my prime rib it tasted great and cooked perfectly medium rare! The Worcestershire jus was also super yummy. I would order again if I came back! The scalloped potatoes on the side though.. I was not a fan. I don't like scalloped potatoes in general, but I wanted to believe that maybe I just didn't have a well made one yet. Yeah.. still not a fan. My partner liked them though so maybe it's just a me thing haha! My partner ordered the 50oz porterhouse. One side is a rib eye and the other is a filet which worked out because we couldn't decide between the two so we basically got both?? We thought it was alright though. We wouldn't order it again. Decent but nothing too special especially for the $180 price tag. We both liked my prime rib more. I also realized when going through menu pictures that it was supposed to include a homestyle side?? I wish I took a picture of the menu when we went, but yeah we never got to pick a side? Unless the truffle Mac n cheese was supposed to be it with an added charge? Not sure, it wasn't mentioned by our server at all so maybe it wasn't on the menu when we went. I also tried their crème brûlée and I thought it was just alright. The portion was small and honestly I've had better at other steakhouses/restaurants at the same price point or even cheaper. We also got a free cheesecake since it was my birthday, but it tasted okay. Tasted kinda like a store bought cheesecake. It was free so I can't complain too much about it but I wouldn't order it personally if given the choice. I found the service to be decent. Nothing too special just standard good service. I am very sad though that when they packed my steak they didn't pack all of my leftovers? I will admit I did put some fatty bits to the side side behind the sauce but I also had quite a bit of pieces cut that I just didn't have the tummy to finish that wasn't packed so that made me quite sad :( they also didn't pack my leftover Worcestershire jus sauce which I wish they did or asked if I wanted more to-go cause it was so gooood. Ambiance was great! The inside of the restaurant looked nice. Can't say about the saloon since we only ate and went to the restaurant side. Would I come again? Maybe just for the truffle mac n cheese. I was absolutely blown away by the truffle Mac n cheese and I enjoyed my prime rib, but everything else was fairly lackluster considering the price points.

Yelp
An over-the-top, five star experience! yeah, I'm ambience is warm and inviting. They have a full bar with a huge selection of top liquors and fine wines. Prices are expensive, so definitely a special night or business entertainment. I had the bone-in pork chop and it was succulent and savory. The mac & cheese with grated fresh truffles was also exceptional as was the pecan pie ala mode (best I've ever had!). Service was on point.

Yelp
This place is always amazing! The service is amazing the staff is friendly and very attentive to everyone and everything. We met here for a business dinner and a few people were running late and they didn't have a problem with they asked if we wanted to wait at the bar or be seated at our table . . Waiters are very knowledgeable about the menu. Water, bread, drinks, and food came out quickly. I split the wedge salad since the portions are pretty big. It's one of my favorites!! I also shared the 58oz prime angus cowboy ribeye and presentation gets an A++!! The meat was a little fatty but it had such a great flavor. The white cheddar scalloped potatoes were really good. We had scallops as an appetizer, and Brussel sprouts.. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dishes here. Highly recommend it, the prices are a little steep but if you're looking for a high end restaurant with good food, good service, and a beautiful atmosphere this is the place.

Yelp
Yum... a new favorite Crème Brûlée and Prime Rib place. We came here recently on Father's Day and all of us enjoyed our meal. The Trio Ceviche was good. The Prime Rib and Aged White Cheddar Scallop Potatoes combination was delicious. I definitely want to come back soon and try the other meats and sides. I wish the Beet Salad had more beets. It was more like a Spring Salad than a beet salad. Crème Brûlée was soooo delicious! It had lots of vanilla beans and had the perfect texture. It was in a deeper dish than a shallow container like a lot of the other restaurants that have this dessert. Service was great, but our server pushed wayyyy too hard on upsells and constantly wanting us to keep buying more things. It was a little annoying. Other than the service, food is great. Love the interior and country dance Hall connected to the restaurant. Thank you The Ranch!

Yelp
OK, if you wanna eat steak anywhere else then don't ever try the ranch because once you do, your tastebuds will be spoiled forever and you will never be able to eat steak anywhere else that's how good it is. The prime rib is off the charts with the lobster mac & cheese. Will send you to heaven. My son eats the New York steak with a scallop potatoes and doing the meal. You won't hear a peep because he can't hear anything from the wonderful taste. If you feel decadent, try the Wagyu carpaccio which is sprinkled with some delicious truffle oil and some type of mushroom, but the combination is simply divine and what I would describe as Umami.

Yelp
The food was delicious and the service was wonderful but the serving portions were very little which was quite upsetting. For example, the mac & cheese was absolutely delicious but the serving portion was not even enough for one person and it was $45. That is quite unacceptable. I ordered the well done New York strip steak. It was very good. I love the bread that they served at the very beginning. It was a combination of six different types of bread, which I have never seen before. So unique and delicious. Lovely ambience. This place is extremely expensive. While the food is good, it's not worth the price and the serving portion.

Yelp
The Ranch has been our favorite steakhouse for the past decade. Hubby and I each have had our own experiences here and loved it. I participated in their OC Restaurant Week offering back in 2016 and absolutely love the quality of the dishes from here as well as their other offerings like their Grass Fed Delmonico Steak (enough to feed 3 hungry people). Hubby has been here countless times with his friends for their Cowboy Ribeye. On our most recent experience, we did takeout during pandemic. We placed our order over the phone for pick-up around 5pm. We got the 58oz Cowboy Ribeye, Cream of Corn, White Cheddar Scalloped Potatoes, Bread + Whipped Butter, and a NY Cheesecake for dessert. Our food came out in a timely manner. Our bag was so heavy, it felt like the giant bone from our Rib-Eye was going to tear the bag apart. Nonetheless, we were able to get the food back home safely. Our steak was nicely packaged, with the meat inside the takeout box and the giant bone wrapped in aluminum foil. Our sides were all neatly placed in takeout boxes as well. The 58oz Rib-Eye was huge. It was enough to feed 3 people. We had extra leftover for the day after. The crust on the Rib-Eye and seasoning was perfect. It wasn't overly salty and it had a good bite to it. It pairs well with the sides. The cream of corn was very creamy and the scalloped potatoes were very buttery and cheesy. As for the bread, always solid. We love the different variety with their delicious whipped butter. We ended up using the bread and leftover steak to make mini steak sandwiches for lunch the day after. As for dessert, their cheesecake was the best cheesecake we've ever had. The texture was very rich and the cream cheese was not overwhelming in any way. Worth the extra splurge! Overall, amazing takeout experience at home from The Ranch. We hope to come back to dine in person someday, but eating the dishes at home were just as good. We absolutely love the steak from here as well as its accompanying sides. Worth every single penny! We cannot wait to come back for special occasions!

Yelp
WOW! That's the first word that comes to my mind when I try to remember my food here at the Ranch. Fresh ingredients, my filet was perfectly cooked and tender, and the prime rib my fiancé got was GINORMOUS. The Caesar salad was also quite generous and light. Service was also nice and lowkey. Only thing I didn't really like was my drink but I'd probably just get something else next time. Awesome! Parking was a little weird, though, it was like you're parking in an office park. But if you dine here, you can show your receipt to the bar/saloon next door and get in for free.

Yelp
Recently came here for a corporate party and was very impressed with the food, service, drinks and ambiance! The space was huge. Our DJ/line dancing instructor was a lot of fun. Bartenders were friendly, attentive and made great drinks. Although we had buffet style food everything was really good! I particularly loved the lobster pasta.

Yelp
The food here is always delicious to me especially because I'm a carnivore lol My friend brought me here for my bday before I met my babe. I am grateful that I have good friends and a good boyfriend. Also, the service here is always superb! The ambiance is dark and moody but it's great for a date night out or to go with your fam bam. I highly recommend this restaurant when you're in Anaheim.

Yelp
The gf took me here for my birthday and it was amazing. The place looked super fancy and the service was great. The bread was solid, I would come back just to eat that. I think we started with the oysters. Then we split the 40oz delmonico with the side of mushrooms and mashed potatoes, definitely way too much food but it was bomb. She forced me to drink the bbq bacon old fashioned even though I had decided I was going to quit alcohol after pickling my liver all weekend. That was also delicious. Would definitely come back.

Yelp
Service is outstanding! The bartenders are delightful. We waited at the bar while our reservation time came up. I had the best cherry coke! The bartenders were so funny and friendly. When we were seated the waiter was very nice and gave us recommendations. We had an incredible steak topped with freshly shaved truffle. We had sweet potatoes as a side, caramelized, seasoned well with a firm texture. Bread is ok nothing special, but everything else that we have eaten here has been spectacular! This is one of our favorite restaurants. Perfect for a nice romantic dinner or special dinner with friends. This is a review for the side restaurant only, we have never been to the saloon side. We are regulars here because the food and service is outstanding.

Yelp
My family went over the holidays. We've been going there for years and have hosted a few large scale events there as well. We used to recommend it at every opportunity. Unfortunately something has changed. A few members of my family have food sensitivities. We weren't asking the kitchen to make anything special, but did request that some risotto be substituted for simple vegetables. To make a long story short they wouldn't do it. We weren't asking for anything special just replace it with a steamed vegetable that was elsewhere on the menu. Our server was courteous as she relayed the veto from the chef but the inflexibility was surprising. Someone from our party did speak to the manager after and he was less than professional in his response. Something has changed in management and it's not for the better.

Yelp
We always try to pick a different spot for our anniversary and THe Ranch was it this year. Ashton is a 5 star server! He was so amazing. So well versed in the menu and Hoban great recommendations. 2 of the managers stopped by our table and chipped it up with us which was super dope. The ambiance was spot on. They sat us in a quieter small, dim lights and quiet. It was a perfect spot for us to celebrate our 14yr anniversary. The food: great The drinks: please get the watermelon margarita, it was fantastic! Desert: cheesecake is good and crème brûlée was great

Yelp
If I could give a 1/2 star, I would. We drove in a ways for a special occasion dinner and arrived early, prior to valet setting up. While we were waiting in the car, the valet approached us and rudely said the restaurant did not open until 5, and we are not allowed to sit and wait in our vehicle. I informed the valet we have been coming to the restaurant for years and never had an issue with self parking in the parking lot. We opted to wait outside of our car by the restaurant, as instructed, when the valet stormed up on us and approached us again, rudely demanding the keys to my car. The valet said due to liability, we would have to park completely outside of the parking lot, behind a fence, if we wanted to self park. No signs were up when we entered the parking lot, nor were spaces labeled for "valet only". I told him I would not give him the keys to my car, so he proceeded to take a picture of my license plate, and retrieve his manager. The security manager came out and was very short and very rude, and did not give a crap whether we ate there or not, so I immediately requested the restaurant manager. The restaurant manager showed up,like we were wasting his time, and didn't see what the big deal was. I informed him about the inconvenience, how I've parked there before, yet he was not bothered at all by what was going on. I was completely turned off to continuing with dining experience at the restaurant, and the manager did not care at all. I asked the manager if he was okay with ruining my birthday, missing out on a repeat paying customer, who would give the restaurant a bad review, lose their business indefinitely from me, while encouraging friends and family to NOT go there. The restaurant manager very nonchalantly said, "yes" without any cares in the world. I immediately walked away. Definitely not eating here or ever coming back. I had been looking forward to eating at the Ranch restaurant and did not even make it inside the door because of their inconsiderate valet service and complete push over nonchalant manager, who did not even give two sh*ts about a repeat customer and their experience. The manager cared more about a valet parking spot than the customer or their experience in the restaurant.

Yelp
"And then, they'd go to a restaurant, and she gets something called a salad, and then he gets a big piece of beef that he eats." -Brak I stepped into the Ranch. My attire, I'll admit it: gorgeous for the restaurant. I had a Hidden Valley Ranch dressing hat on at The Ranch, and an all black Rockmount western style shirt. Dressed to thrill. Ready to dine. I noticed men in fancy sport coats were on dates with their plates of beef, and women in cashmere turtlenecks flirted with their leafy salads. What could be sexier. I'll tell you what could be: MAPLEWOOD-SMOKED ORGANIC JIDORI CHICKEN! Oh my god, baby. What a smoked up, lit up, piece of poultry. There is no way to chicken out of finishing this sumptuous buzzard in one day. I did the polite thing the moment I got this entree: I guzzled it down like a weasel chewing its way through a chicken coop. I deeply appreciated how smokey it was--almost as if someone smoked it. The smoky flavor reminded me of all the things I have watched burn in my life. At some point in the midst of this chicken feast, a manager came and asked me to turn my Hidden Valley Ranch hat around. I guess my fashion choice was too bombastic for the genteel Ranch setting. I complied immediately. The chicken needed an immediate route out of the restaurant and into my acidic guts. I could afford no further interruption. I took most of the Jidori Chicken home with me in my acidic guts. The rest I had in a box. Later that night I unboxed the leftovers, and I reunited the chicken outside of me with the chicken inside of me. Few romances have ended with such gross fulfillment.

Yelp
5 stars for a fantastic meal and service! It is a romantic restaurant perfect for date night. We came to celebrate my husbands birthday with family. Our server was Ian and he was really humorous and took the time to explain the menu and answer all our questions. There are two menus: regular menu and the farm menu. For starters, we got the country fried Texas quail. We ordered lobster Cobb salad from the farm menu. For the mains we got the certified sustainable Chilean sea bass, 58oz prime angus cowboy ribeye, and a side of grilled asparagus. Last but not least dessert. It comes complimentary for birthdays and you get a choice of creme brulee or cheesecake. Hubby ordered the cheesecake and we all shared haha we also ordered two glasses of red wine. A burgess and groth. Country fried Texas quail 5/5 so crunchy and it is fried fresh! The taste completely changes after you dip the meat inside the apricot bbq sauce. Lobster Cobb salad 5/5 lobster pieces are mixed in the salad. I believe there is also goat cheese and a blend of vegetables and tomato inside. Very fresh and refreshing. Certified sustainable chilean sea bass 4/5 fish was melt in your mouth but couldn't really taste anything special. It comes with shrimp risotto with an orange glaze sauce. Flavor was a bit... interesting. Not sure if I would order again. 58oz prime angus cowboy ribeye 5/5 literally the winning dish for the night! The steak was so huge that we held it up and compared to the size of our face! It was amazing and paired so well with the bordelaise sauce. Grilled asparagus 5/5 great texture and cooked well. Ordered it to pair with the steak. I really enjoyed the dining experience and would come back again and order something different. Try a variety of foods and decide which one I love the best.
