A New Rooftop Bar In The East Village + More NYC Roof Reopenings

"At the very end of April, The Moxy East Village opened a brand new year-round rooftop bar with retractable glass walls and ceilings. The Ready is operated by the Tao Group - the team behind infamous party spots where it’s not uncommon to eat lobster pad thai in what feels like a Vegas nightclub. Expect darty energy fueled by locally-produced beer and frozen cocktails, with beer pong tables and all, a taco stand, and tiered amphitheater seating." - hannah albertine

NYC Restaurants With Outdoor Fans

"There aren’t a lot of rooftop bars in this city where we actually like to spend our time, but The Ready is one of the few exceptions to that rule. This massive spot above The Moxy Hotel East Village has a bunch of spaced-out seating areas where you can sit with a date or a small group under several industrial-sized fans and string lights. They’ve got a few different tacos on the menu and some canned wine, but you’re really here for the frozen drinks - especially the “Watermelon Sugar” which has Red Bull, tequila, and lime." - nikko duren

We had an excellent experience at the Ready. Fantastic food, drinks and service. If you’re lucky you’ll get Darius serving you. He’s polite, efficient and a hustler. The tacos were delicious and the margaritas were even better. Go spicy if you dare! 4-6pm is happy hour. Get there for that if you can! Beautiful views, greenery everywhere and a great vibe!

Google
The place was decorated nicely, and it had a chill vibe. Drinks were strong and good but not sure about the food since we didn’t get any. The service was great, the bartender was nice and quick. We also got some leftover food from our dinner and we just wanted to get some drinks to finish the night and the bodyguard kindly hold our food instead of throwing it away. Music is loud so if you want to talk you have to be close or talk louder. It is a nice place to have drinks.

Google
So glad we tried this place despite the 3.7 star rating :) It delivers. Looks and feels just like the pictures. Super cute inside. We are tourists and it was easy to get in without a reservation at Wednesday happy hour. String lights are a vibe. The bartender with dreds is friendly. 5 stars bc I wanna bump this place up :D

Google
top-notch rooftop in the East Village right above little sister lounge, one dollar tacos and also good happy hour deals with tequila margaritas and Palomas

Google
Security and maître d’ were really fun, professional, polite and didn’t mind giving us recommendations for other bars, closer to our hotel. We didn’t have a booking and walked in for happy hour tacos and margaritas, which were both great. Would recommend booking a table in advance to take advantage of the QR code, which enables you to order to your table and avoid queuing at the bar as it got busy fast.

Google
Ideal rooftop bar with accommodating staff and plenty of seating. Manhattan vibe at Yonkers prices. No-frills experience in the bathrooms and elevators. But you’ll get a classic rooftop cocktail experience at an affordable price

Katie Horsfield

Google
Fun rooftop with a happy hour serving cheap margaritas and $1 tacos. Great vibes and good service.

Google
Nice views, music is very varied which is nice if you want to hear different types of music. The music is loud so it’s difficult to have a conversation. If you want seating, you should make a reservation. I came here with a friend around 4 pm on a Saturday. The drink selection isn’t really that great- I ordered a Negroni (not on the menu) which was good. After one drink my friend and I decided to leave. Overpriced drinks but I would return if it was during happy hr.

Yelp
$1 tacos and $9 Margaritas The ready rooftop bar is open at 12 on the weekends. It is conveniently located close to the Union square station. I ordered both the chicken Tinga and the mushroom corn. The chicken tinga was by far my favorite. I recommend going early for the seats and the amazing view, otherwise you'd have to stand. Reservations are also preferred. Overall, the experience was great! The tacos were very filling and at the price, it really can't be beat! Inflation, who?

Yelp
This Rooftop has the best DAILY Happy Hour Ever!!! Known as the perfect place to "Darty" @thereadyrooftop is a stunning rooftop in East Village featuring Daily Happy hour w/ $1 Freshly made Tacos and $9 Margaritas That's only getting it started. They had a bunch of other food and drink options and you can even opt for their Party Cooler where you can mix and match their canned drinks, their 100 oz drink tower or even a jumbo 64 oz flask ‼ This place is the perfect place to catch up after work and dance the night away under the stars I had a great time with my friends here and for $1 these tacos were actually really good and I loved the spicy marg so this should deff be a place to add to your list What We Had * Crispy Black Truffle Quesadillas * Chips & Guacamole * Chicken Tinga Tacos * Beef Brisket Barbacoa * Al Pastor * Mushrooms & Corn * Queso Supreme Drinks * Paloma * Strawberry Spritz * Blueberry Mezcalrita * Watermelon Sugar * Texas Hold 'Em @thereadyrooftop Happy Hour Monday -Friday* 4-7 pm Saturday-Sunday * 12-3 pm P.S.....don't worry their rooftop is all season so you can visit any time of the year and the service is always A1 Rooftops in NYC, Best rooftops in NYC, All Season Rooftop NYC, Best Rooftop Bar NYC, Rooftop Bar Near Me, Best Happy Hour NYC

Yelp
Great happy hour food-wise: $1 tacos M-F 4-7pm and they have weekend happy hour as well. Tacos are a great size for the price and pretty filling. Had the chicken and the mushroom/corn, both great. Would've liked some sauce options. Happy hour margs are $9 and not very strong, this hh is definitely best for food.

Yelp
Food was amazing, they have these $1 taco specials. The margaritas was very good as well too

Yelp
3.5 Stars for me. I've been curious about their $1 Tacos during happy hour and finally got a chance to try them today. Here's the run down: Pros: - We we're able to walk in around 5:40pm and get a table for three without a reservation or wait - You can easily place an order from your phone and have as many tacos and drinks as you like - I was able to get my tacos without cilantro even during happy hour - At $1 a pop the tacos are a great deal! Cons: - The rooftop is rather small and doesn't really have much of a view - It's pretty crowded and noisy so the atmosphere is a bit of a mixed bag - The $9 happy hour margaritas are only okay (I'm pretty sure the make them using marg mix) - They only serve the chicken tinga as well as corn mushrooms during happy hour All in all, I think you can have a fun time here if you know what you're getting into!

Yelp
The older I get, the more I find myself drifting away from the East Village. But spots like these keep bringing me back. While yes, this place can get swamped, book a table in advance for quicker access. A perfect setting and backdrop for warm October nights

Yelp
I previously went here at nighttime while they had their disco decorations, but I went again more recently for happy hour during a Saturday afternoon! The place was mostly empty and our group of 7 was seated in a more covered part of the rooftop which was nice. The happy hour deal was $1 tacos and $9 margaritas and you could order from the table or at the bar. There are only three taco options, one of which is $2 (supreme, mushroom and corn, and chicken) and they only have one classic margarita flavor. I wish there was more variety, but for the price, I was pretty satisfied! The view in comparison to other rooftops was pretty underwhelming with a limited view of the outside mostly consisting of other buildings. Overall, they have a great happy hour deal so I would definitely visit if you're looking for some cheap food and drinks!

Yelp
This was definitely a nice experience coming here. This was my first rooftop bar, and it was really nice! When my friends and I got there, we didn't realize reservations were pretty much needed for the tables, but one of the hostesses quickly gave us a table once a reservation was canceled. She was very nice. The bartender and server were also friendly, our server made sure we were hydrated and comfortable. The decor of the space was so cute and comfy, I would've just chilled with a couple of drinks with my girls. The tacos, chips, and guac were pretty good as well. I especially liked the chicken tacos. I don't usually eat them, but these were cooked just right. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars was because certain aspects of the space and happy hour options. The menu is only 3 options: Chicken or Mushroom tacos, and a $9 margarita, just the classic one. In Baltimore, all the happy hour spots I've been to have a decent selection of drinks and food. This was just sad. I'm not sure if their chicken and mushroom tacos are their most popular, but to only have two options is crazy. Lastly I wish they had at least more fans and shade around the space. A good portion of the rooftop is out in the sun with minimal cooling devices. That's definitely just my personal preference, but I think it would do well to add some little fans in spaces where the sun is shining the most. Overall my experience was very well. I'm glad this was my first rooftop experience.

Yelp
I visited the Ready Rooftop Bar for the first time and was amazed by how beautifully decorated it was. It was crowded because I went during Happy Hour and a lot of seats were taken. I didn't make a reservation but was glad I still got to stand by the bar. The employees are scattered around and constantly moving and we did have to wait a bit for our order since it was busy. I ordered the chips and guac and it was super delicious and crunchy. We ordered chicken tacos for $1 each during the deal and were blown away by how flavorful they were. Definitely worth the visit!

Yelp
I was excited to give this rooftop bar and grill a try! When I arrived I parked on the street nearby. I was greeted when I walked over by a very nice young lady, Jasmine. I took the elevator up, and the place was gorgeous! I loved the decor! Carlos was my bartender, and he was great! I started with the frozen apple cider, which was ok. I then had the frozen espresso martini, and that was delicious! For my meal, I got the elotes, chips and guacamole, black truffle quesadilla, and the mushroom and corn tacos followed by the chicken tinga tacos The menu is limited fyi. My favorite was the chicken tinga tacos. The experience I had was pretty good, and I would definitely return!

Yelp
Came here for happy hour after work, and it was brutally hot - I wish they installed more umbrellas for shade up top. As for the happy hour deals, the margaritas are decent, and the $1 tacos are the great deal - hope they keep this up!
google avatar

Ellen C.

Yelp
The Ready offers a happy hour where margs are $9 and tacos are $1. However, only the chicken and mushroom + cheese tacos are eligible for the $1 deal. The tacos are also not very big. Otherwise, the space is cute and has a view of the World Trade Center.

Yelp
Staff: 5 Convenience: 5 Cleanliness: 5 Food: 4 Happy Hour Pricing: 5 $1 Tacos Need I say more? Happy hour (H.H) starts at 4 p.m! The drink selection in the HH isn't grand but there's a full bar just in case:) A little gem right before a concert :) It's a rooftop with not much of a view per say but the ambiance makes up for it! Trendy edm music.

Yelp
I came here for their Happy Hour deal, which i s $1 tacos and $9 margaritas. This Happy Hour deal runs Tuesday - Friday, 4pm-6pm and Saturday - Sunday, 12pm-3pm. It's great that the offer exists on the weekend so you're competing with people after work. Logistics: I made a reservation about a week in advance for a 12pm on a sunday and had no problems doing so. They have someone check your ID downstairs and then they direct you down a hallway toward the back where there is an elevator to take to the rooftop. I rode the elevator a few times and no one has ever gotten off on a floor other than lobby and elevator so I'm not sure if this is actually connected to the Moxy. After getting upstairs, we were seated right away. You order and pay from a QR code so there wasn't much interaction with the waitstaff, which is great for people who just want to eat in peace without getting interrupted. It makes leaving easy as well so you don't have to ask for the check and wait for everything to come back as the place does get very busy. Be sure to read the description when ordering. The pictures may show 3 tacos (and it lists it as $7) so it makes sense to assume it's 3 tacos, but the description says " single taco." Decor: The interior looks exactly like the pictures and instagram posts I've seen that charmed me into coming here (along with the great deal on tacos). It's very aesthetic and the couches and pillows lined up against the windows were comfy. The abundant sunshine from the windows was really warm and nice on a cold winter day. It did feel a bit warm after awhile like we were sitting in a greenhouse. Food: The tacos being $1 were very good. It was a bit disappointing that the $1 menu only had the chicken tinga option and the mushroom & corn option to choose from as this was not stated on the website. The regular menu has al pastor and beef brisket barbacoa at the same price. I'm just a bit confused how the regular menus price each single taco at $7. that's a very stark difference than the happy hour prices. I'd come back only at the happy hour price point. Bathroom: They have gender neutral bathrooms one floor down the stairs. I'm sure you can get to it via elevator as well.

Yelp
Looking for an amazing rooftop experience in New York City for lunch .. and this is the spot !! The food was delicious the vegan mushroom tacos were delicious with street corn ... and not falling short were the drinks so good and they have happy hour for lunch . Definitely recommend to come with friends or even on a date , this is the vibe ! Service was quick and everyone was super friendly . Will be coming here again !

Yelp
1 extra star for the roof. That aside, I've often heard the phrase "so-and-so place has the worst drinks!" and I never really knew what that meant, until I came here. This place happens to be across the street from my apartment, and for the 4 different dates I've brought here the past few months- EACH TIME at least one of us did not like our drinks. I'm by no means a cocktail connoisseur, but I've never had this happen anywhere else. One mojito here tasted like half a cup of lime juice with sugar. Another time, long island iced tea- my date commented "i dont even know what I'm drinking", heck they even manage to mess up mocktails.

Yelp
I came here with a few friends on Cinco de Mayo in the afternoon. Thankfully there wasn't any line so we got up pretty quickly. There was a good amount of people but not super crowded. It was pretty easy to get drinks and order food. The $10 marg and $1 taco happy hour special is CRAZY ... we took full advantage of it! The chicken tacos were super yummy and honestly 4 will get you full! An interesting badge concept to deliver the tacos to you haha. Very cute ambiance and a nice temperature considering it was pretty cold outside so thankfully it was covered. The music was alright - just wish there was a bit more ass-shaking music for Cinco LOL. The staff were all very nice and ON IT - a well oiled machine for such a busy day. Definitely recommend you check it out yourself!

Yelp
This place is all about the Vibe. A rooftop bar with nice views, great personality and hip crowds. There is not really much as far as food offerings and they have one desert on the menu. But, we were here for after dinner drinks and it served our goal. They offer a happy hour from 4-6 which includes $1 Tacos and Margarita specials.
google avatar

Justine W.

Yelp
I was around the area and hungry and decided to stop by for their $1 tacos during happy hour. This is my first time coming here and the ambiance of the rooftop was so pretty! Good vibes, music, food and view! For the price of the tacos, they are unbeatable. I definitely recommend coming here with some friends for a good time!

Yelp
Music was so loud. It's not a club. Can we lower it so we don't have to have scream conversations
google avatar

Yelp
I would go here every week if I could! I made a reservation in person and the manager was friendly and patient. My reservation was for Friday night at 8pm for 15 people and it was 90 degrees that day. I'm very grateful my reservation was free and there were no problems. It was busy but honestly thought it would have reached capacity. The music was top 40 and it's a diverse crowd in their 20's and 30's. I appreciate being able to order food via a QR code at the table and not have to worry about splitting the bill. Only "downside" is that they close at 11pm, around 10:45 they gave us BOGO drink tickets to a Taylor Swift themed night downstairs in their lounge. My friends and I aren't Swifties, but we ended up staying for 2 more hours because the lounge was spacious, beautiful and the music wasn't too loud so we could hear each other. I definitely recommend on a nice summer evening :)

Yelp
The Ready has consistently secured its place as one of my preferred rooftop bars, and its recent transformation for the winter months only solidified its appeal. The introduction of new seasonal cocktails adds a delightful touch, providing a fresh and inviting experience. Great rooftop spot with excellent service, good food, and a beautiful ambiance. You should add it to your rooftop list.

Yelp
Ayyy!!! Am I turning into a Karen? Anyway! Wanted to try this place since they opened and I finally made it today 03/21/24 for Happy Hour. Pros: really nice staff checking ID at the street level and decent $1 dollar tacos: Be aware these are only chicken tacos or mushroom & corn tacos. Any other flavor will set you back $7 to $8 for ONE taco. Cons: walked in and was completely ignored by a young, very tall young woman with light colored eyes (contacts maybe?). She looked like the manager, not sure. Finally after asking for help she acknowledges me, no greeting, mind you, and ask "do you have a reservation?".. I moved my sorry behind to the bar and stood there for a few minutes before I was noticed... half empty bar ..bartenders socialing with each other.. Co-ed bathrooms one floor below with a very weird layout and rude male attendant.. The HH margaritas are decent but their plastic glassware needs replacement. So worn they look dirty. I never left a place so fast I felt so unwelcomed! Maybe I'm too old for the joint? Maybe customer service is overrated to younger generations? Man......
google avatar

Evan N.

Yelp
Came here during happy hour on a Friday to get some margaritas! The margaritas were $9 and honestly they were just okay. It is a margarita mix that they just pour from a bottle from another company. Like I said it's fine. $1 tacos are a great deal though, they are smaller but they are good for $1. The views from the roof were fun on a hot day and being on the rooftop is already a plus! Gets pretty loud and crowded very quickly but that's not a bad thing! Come give this place a look and have a vibe of beach outdoors on a roof!
google avatar

Arianne A.

Yelp
The atmosphere of this place is nice especially during the winter. It's covered and stays pretty warm. The Birria tacos were delicious the chips were just okay and the drinks were solid. My one note about this place is the service wasn't great. I put in an order for my food and waited almost an hour to get it. Because they have a QR code/food runner situation vs. formal wait staff it's difficult to flag someone down (in my case to check on my food) quickly and easily. The waiter I had who checked on my food for me was rather rude, talked to me in a way that felt like she was blaming me for why my order was so late/I made the error in putting in my order. When I pulled up my receipts (and showed that was not the case) she was rather quiet and cold and told me she'd run the food and walked away. She also realized 1 hr+ in we didn't get any water too so we also got that late and the table next to us had complained about the same thing - no water - so I ended up giving them some of ours. Maybe an off night, so I'd possibly try this place out again but initial experience wasn't great.

Yelp
We didn't have a reservation but we walked by about 2 minutes before opening so we decided to see if we could get in. Thankfully we got in and we got a table. Everyone who came in behind us, without a reservation had to use a standing table or stand at the bar. We were seated by the food station and the taco station smelled amazing. You scan the bar code and order and pay from your phone. I started with a Paloma and my wife had an aperol spritz. The drinks were delivered quickly and they were good but all the bar ware is on plastic cups. Not red solo cups but cocktail glasses that are plastic. Next round I ordered a French 75. I guess than sparkling was warm so they just made a drink that was room temperature. It was really off putting. No one wants and no one should serve a warm cocktail. Overall the view was underwhelming, the drink was warm and the prices were higher than any other bar in the city. As an added negative why do we tip before service. One and done for me.

Yelp
Great place to hang e friends. Music is great, server are super friendly, and of course you must have the espresso martini! It's a great party atmosphere! Dance like no one is watching! Decorated for the holidays, great for yr insta pics.

Yelp
The service is great here at the bar and they have a really good happy hour. The margs are $9 (v $20 during normal times) and $1 tacos. They have very limited tables so you should make a reservation beforehand if you want to sit. It's mostly tourists there, so it's good people watching.

Yelp
It really does irk me to write a bad review. I hate doing it. But at times, it is my civic duty to do so. Before I get into it, I need to shoutout the doorman. He is amazing at his job and extremely engaging. $21 for an aperol spritz? Okay fine I get it I'm in New York lol. An overly packed rooftop? Annoying but I could be in a dumpster and enjoy my time. My main gripe, and why I feel compelled to write this review, was one of the bartenders. Look I get it. It can be annoying. It's a thankless job and being around drunk patrons all day, maybe he was at his limit. Maybe he was just having a rough day. When I ordered 2 spritz's for my buddy and I he had a bit of an attitude. Fine, I don't expect everyone to meet me with a smile. When he made the spritz's, he first poured the Aperol, then Prosecco, then the soda water to the top. He didn't mix the spritz at all. It was straight soda water on top. Okay fine. I'll mix it myself. I proceed to ask for straws so we can mix and drink our drinks. "What?" he responds in the most monotone/annoyed voice you have ever heard. "2 straws" I say looking him dead in the eyes. Now I'm tight. "You want straws?" He asks me again like I just asked him to go downstairs to the super market to go buy straws. "Yes." I say in a combative tone as I have now been challenged for whatever reason. He rolls his eyes and gets straws. He mumbles something, "What was that?" I say in a diffusing tone trying to restore the peace, because I catch myself and realize there is no reason to escalate this. "I said $41.37." He says piercing daggers through my eyes.. Unprovoked, the rest of our group was wondering why their drinks weren't mixed either. I likely wont be back, but if I do and have a better experience I would be happy to update this review.

Yelp
My friend made reservations for this place for his birthday. It's located near Union Square and fairly easy to find. At the entrance you're greeted by a hostess and a bouncer who will direct you to the elevator to take to the rooftop. The day we went, it was raining so they had the rooftop enclosed with an exterior barrier. It was still very beautiful inside. When you walk in, there's another hostess to greet you. Directly next to them is the food bar where you can see them make tacos and other foods. Straight ahead they had a nice bar with a good selection of drinks. We were taken to your reservation table which we had for 2 hours. At the time of our arrival, the place wasn't crazy packed. There were a decent amount of people but not too bad. As we were seated, it took me time to figure what was going on. At the table, there is a QR code that you scan which will take you to a site where you place your order. Unfortunately, the site was very glitchy making it difficult to place our orders. During this time, no one came to check up on us or help us with anything. We decided to go to the bar to order the drinks but it was like the bartenders didn't notice us. Some were busy making drinks for others but some would make a drink and step aside before I could grab their attention. It felt like we were being avoided. Disappointed, I went back to the table and finally the site was working. We placed our drink and ordered the margarita tower. I was concerned it would take time to come out but it came out in a reasonable time. When it does come out, they have the servers with the sparklers come out giving a nice show. As for the margarita, it was pretty decent. Slightly on the sweeter side and not much taste of alcohol but overall not bad. It was in the pricer side. In fact, most of the items were very pricey. It prevented us from ordering any food from here. I get it, it's a rooftop and you're paying for the experience more so than anything else. I'm not mad about it but if I'm paying quality prices I expect quality product. And based off the margarita, even though it was decent, it wasn't worth the price you pay for it. After our reservation ended the place did start to get packed. It did seem like a nice place to be during the later hours but we had other plans to attend to Overall, my experience at this place was sub par. The place is beautiful, you'll have an okay experience but it didn't blow me away. Maybe during nicer weather it'll be a better experience but I'm not sure if I'll be back.
google avatar

Amit P.

Yelp
The view is not great but the open space is pleasant. Very nice bar with a great vibe. The decorations were nice and servers seem nice. It's weird that you can only order using the QR code via phone if you're in the lounge area, we had glitches trying to order several times but then finally got it. Seating is more loungey-like instead of tables and chairs and would recommend making reservations if you want a table or else walk-ins will most likely be standing or at the bar. I would only come back during happy hour for their prices, otherwise it's super expensive and not worth ordering the food anyway.

Yelp
Came to celebrate my birthday here and really enjoyed it. They were able to accommodate 15 of us without a problem even though it was very crowded. The service was a little slow but the workers were very friendly even handling the crowds! The rooftop itself is beautiful . We had a great time

Yelp
This rooftop bar was beautifully decorated. We came here to celebrate my friend's birthday as a party of 8. We had a lot of fun. The drinks were good! The food was pretty good too. It would've been cool if they had more food options, but no biggy. Everything was awesome and I'd definitely recommend checking it out!

Yelp
$1 tacos and $9 margaritas on happy hour. The crowd is nice. Corn and mushroom tacos is surprisingly good, chicken tacos not bad as well. On Friday night, DJ play music, very upbeat and energetic .

Yelp
WHAT A STEAL!! Absolutely love to come to this place after work - $1 tacos and $9 margaritas how can it get any better than this!!! During happy hour, they have this deal. Two options for tacos - mushroom/corn and chicken. I only had the chicken tacos but a coworker did say the mushroom ones are amazing. They taste way better than the ones I pay five times the price for; it has the perfect amount of filling inside and the chicken was also fresh. The margarita was not really that strong but still really good! Also two options for margaritas - classic and spicy. The views were nice and it was a chill place; saw a lot of people coming after work. Service was super fast and accommodating for the 14 of us (we did have a reservation). Highly highly recommend this place in the East Village!

Yelp
This rooftop bar left a lot to be desired. I've been to another rooftop at a Moxy hotel where the prices actually match with what you get. The rooftop feels pretty small as it's crowded with tables and chairs. You can't sit unless you've got a reservation, but the standing room is awkwardly in between all the tables. It leaves you constantly moving around to let people through and almost bumping into the people sitting. Even though it's supposed to be a rooftop, the views aren't very impressive as you're not that high up. Their happy hour deal seems appealing, I think it's like $1 tacos and $9 margs. Be careful with the timing though. We missed happy hour by a min and the full price of the margs came out to be $25 each. It felt like club pricing, as the drinks were tiny and full of ice. I had high hopes for this bar but definitely won't be coming back. There are much better rooftop bars in the city with better views and drinks!

Yelp
My friend and I visited the rooftop bar on a Monday evening. We were able to get a table and spot luckily but I recommend a reservation to be safe. We tried to get one but I put it on the wrong day and they still let my friend and I up. The drinks here are quite pricy but the atmosphere is very relaxing, chill, and I love the space. It's very open and the couches have charging outlets under the seat making it really convent to just drink and recharge. We ordered the nachos with beef and it was pretty good bar food. The options are very small. There is happy hour and it seems more worthwhile. The drink was refreshing and good and you pay and order through your phone and it was so efficient which is weird that were tipping as if they are serving us fully in my opinion. Definitely expensive but its for the goods vibe and chill time

Yelp
Yummy tacos! I think they were only a little bit smart about how to be gluten free. The drinks were medium but cheap!

Yelp
Whats great about this place is the staff is good, prices are decent for rooftops in the city, and the vibes are great. Lots of seating options. The only downside really is that you don't get the best rooftop view, but it's still a great choice for a group.

Yelp
Pretty effing awful. We had reservations at 9:15 and left promptly at 9:45. Here's why: there was just the 2 of us - we were seated next to a table of 4, but they "ran out of chairs", so we both had to sit on one side of the table. Gotcha. The table next to us was upset because they had reservations for 8, but only had room for 4. So they told a server, and we were then moved to the empty table next to us. Okay, fine. No problem. Minutes later, the distressed hostess came back to our table and said we had to move BACK to our original table, saying she needed to have the table for another reserved party. Of course, the ladies next to us were upset again, as were we. The servers and hostess started setting up for the party of 8 on the opposite side of us. We were about to be squeezed between 2 tables of 8. I didn't want any more problems, so we asked for the bill, leaving an appropriate tip, and got outta there. HORRIBLE experience. We had ordered 2 vodka cranberries and the black truffle quesadilla, which came out to nearly $70. BTW, the quesadilla was REALLY tiny!!! If you want overpriced, watered down drinks, less than average food, AND horrible service, by all means, GO!

Yelp
I just visit this rooftop I have to say is beautiful decorations, the view is beautiful, Ambience, music, food and service were great I got there for happy hours got to say taco for $1 are delicious and a good size the is not a big places so if you want a table you must make a reservation. The only reason I don't give a 5stars is because it is pricey if you don't go for happy hours

Yelp
unfortunately I had a friend in town this past Friday (7/19) where we made a reservation for 8:30pm but decided to show up earlier to potentially hang out at the bar for their HH. Upon arrival I was asked if I had a reservation but then told that there was a private event. I'm not sure why you would ask if I have a reservation if there is a private event. I feel as a business the least you can do is update your customers via email or on IG if the establishment won't be available. Waste of a trip.

Yelp
The place is beautiful. Great happy hour specials. The negative was how crowded it was for happy hour, and at the same time so many empty tables were marked as reserved. We wanted to stay and have more drinks and food, but could not find a spot to settle in for a while. We left after 30 mins due to no seating while we just watched people being turned away from "reserved seating". Missed sales for business and tips for staff for sure.

Yelp
While the food isn't amazing, this spot is definitely one of the most affordable places in New York City and the rooftop is such a beautiful space! Margaritas are $5 and tacos are $1 during Happy Hour. The tacos didn't taste the best but for $1, what a steal. I would definitely make a reservation before coming (especially in the summer) if you don't want to risk a wait, but there were plenty of spaces to stand if you don't mind not having a table. Service was surprisingly fast and the waiters were friendly and welcoming. You can pay via an online tab which made paying and tipping seamless and I know I already mentioned the rooftop, but the view from up there was fantastic! Great view of the city, great ambience (and decorations to take pictures with if you're into that), and overall a great establishment. I'd come again with friends for a simple cheap lunch + lots of drinks.

Yelp
This place is beautifully decorated. We hate that you have to order on your phone by scanning and put in all your info first. The bathroom is uncomfortable and there is a bathroom attendant in there that was on his phone and then tells you where to go. I was annoyed that the toilet paper was almost completely out yet there is someone working down there. Don't go to the bathroom hear if you can hold it. Again, the decor is gorgeous! The vibe just isn't carried out all the way. The food looks good but we didn't try it. The bar menu feels extremely limited.

Yelp
I came here with some friends on a sunny Saturday afternoon and had a great time. The views are awesome, and there is a lot of seating around the perimeter of the space which was nice. I am taking off a star from my review due to how hard it was to get a drink at the bar. I expected it to be crowded because of the nice weather, but I didn't think I would be standing at the bar for 20 minutes trying to flag a bartender down. The margaritas were good, but they were very small for the price point. I will definitely be back with friends in the future for the good vibes, but prepare for long lines to get in and crowds once you're on the roof!

Yelp
Please see the photo, need I say more, get there between four and six, it was over 35 people when I got there at 4:20 so I can only imagine what it look like at four on the dot. The tacos are not your Taco Bell tacos they are authentic filled tacos. Your only option for this happy hour or veggie and chicken. I had eight. They were amazing. Can't go wrong with a margarita as well. Glad to see this establishment is still in business. I first came when they were five dollars. Take the up charge you live in Manhattan deal with it.

Yelp
Ideally would rate 3.7 FOR LOCALS: Do not expect great things. You know better. I saw this on TikTok and it looked cute. It is cute. But for union/ EV, there are definitely cuter. Overpriced drinks for what it is. $17 & $18 should only be accepted at a Speakeasy for this area. Margarita's are just okay. I'd recommend it for two specific scenarios: for a first date you don't know if you like them, or you need a spot to wait for a friend to go to a Webster Hall concert. Happy hour deal looks legit though FOR TOURISTS (or viewers staying at the Moxy): cute spot before you head to your dinner reservation. Make this your first spot, not your last please.

Yelp
I revisited The Ready Rooftop for their new "Holiday Disco" theme and it was just as cute as the previous theme! I love the disco balls and green shades all over. It must look great at night. I was only able to visit early in the afternoon and as usual the staff was very welcoming. They seated us immediately and brought out waters. We tried the Frozen Hot Chocolate and it was really good! I love chocolate and this wasn't overkill. After we let that settle we ordered food. We ordered guac and chips and brisket and crispy pork carnitas (I think) tacos. The guac and chips were DELICIOUS. All the flavor was there and the chips were good by themselves. I only had the brisket tacos and that was really good too. It had the perfect texture and flavor. I love the drizzle on it. My friend loved her tacos. She ate it so fast! We couldn't leave without ordering the party cooler. Their coolers come in a huge disco ball! It comes with 6 coolers. I liked the mango margs a lot. Lastly we ended the experience with dessert. I wish they had more of a variety other than tres leches. To be honest I wasn't so impressed with it and from a place serving tacos I would think it'd be better. Hopefully they improve on that. Overall the experience was seamless, food was tasty, and the vibes were fun! I'd revisit for sure.
