"There’s something quintessentially Napa about the North Block hotel and its pristine, perpetually busy restaurant. Currently, executive chef Juan Cabrera is offering a 5-course Valley to Coast tasting menu for $90, which does not reinvent the wheel but rather does well-known staples extremely well — think spring pasta with morels and peas, abalone with passion fruit, and a NY strip with shallot marmalade. "The Restaurant at North Block’s seafood focus is in place at brunch, which is served daily on the patio or in the cozy dining room inside the eponymously named hotel. We love the margarita and the potato pizza with Point Reyes toma cheese and bacon, and we usually add in a chicory salad and a few of the excellent ribs, which you can order by the piece.
