11 Essential Napa Valley Brunches

"The Restaurant at North Block’s seafood focus is in place at brunch, which is served daily on the patio or in the cozy dining room inside the eponymously named hotel. Avocado toast is topped with Dungeness crab; a seafood platter arrives with oysters, clams, abalone, and prawns; and a poke bowl bridges the transition between breakfast and lunch. For traditionalists, Journeyman Meat Company’s coppa replaces sausage on a breakfast sandwich and house-made zeppoli can be ordered in trios." - Christina Mueller

The 16 Best Restaurants In Yountville

"The charred pizzas and craft cocktails are the stars at this casual spot inside the North Block Hotel. Whether you post up at the bar for drinks, or lounge on the patio around the fireplace, with new wave tunes playing and bird murals and Edison bulbs flying overhead, this is a nice alternative to the fancier restaurants Yountville is known for. We love the margarita and the potato pizza with Point Reyes toma cheese and bacon, and we usually add in a chicory salad and a few of the excellent ribs, which you can order by the piece. Wow! Truly a wonderful dinner and experience. We started with the Oysters and Lemoncello Spritz - bright, clean and refreshing. My wife and I then shared the Pasta Bolognese and a fresh tomato pizza. Both delicious! Look forward to trying the Valley to Coast tasting menu next time.

Wow that was a disaster. I went for my birthday and anniversary with another set of friends. It took a long time for a waiter to come to our table, even longer for the food to come. We got 5 tiny plates that were all lacking. The “dessert” was not good at all. They didn’t even offer us dessert for my birthday or let us order extra. We asked if we could at least order bread from the menu for an extra charge because we were starving. The server told us no, and then proceeded to tell us “most people are full when they leave here.” Will not be back, very disappointed.

Wow, wow, and WOW! Went here for our anniversary and let me just say it was worth the drive. From Antioch area and wanted to celebrate with a great meal and atmosphere. Got a two for one for sure. Ended up starting with Happy Hour which is everyday from 3-6pm. We ordered the mushroom flatbread pizza (made with double zero flour) and the smash burger with house seasoned fries. Yummy and filling. Ingredients are fresh and carefully prepared. Also, Brenden who is a true mixologist whipped us up some espresso martini's (one with brandy and the other with Gin). Holy moly! We also had dinner reservations for the Valley Coast tasting menu and it was nothing short of chef inspired culinary creations. Chef Jaun Cabrera (my apologies if I misspelled) is the mastermind behind this menu and takes pride and joy out of what is being served. We were graced with Duke as our server who was nothing but attentive and detail-oriented as well as the new GM Jessica who went above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was of a Royal experience. From the scallop, to the gnocchi, and sea bass to aged beef dish it was well thought out and flavorful. The whole dining staff made sure everything was cooked to perfection. I love great dining experiences and this was top 5. Dessert was whoa! Had the cheese plate called "fun" as well as the Tiramisu and lemon meringue. So good! We will be back in the future to experience more culinary delights and AMAZING SERVICE. Definite Recommend!!

This place has an experienced chef who knows how to capture the full eating experience by creating a visual seduction of dishes before you even taste it. The oysters have an additional creative condiment that has an infusion of thyme, lemon juice, agave, and white vinegar served in a small drop bottle which adds to the dish to capture all categories of our tastebuds- sweet, salty, bitter, and spicy-delicious on the pallet. The colorful farm salad was so fresh and dressed to impress. The king salmon was charred crisp while the meat was perfectly moist. The Spaghettoni Aglio Olio had a big portion of crab in a delicious light creamy sauce. I paired this meal with the Hill Sauvingnon blanc from carnero vineyards. This was a perfect meal for us. We will be back to try the rest of the menu

Wow, it was an overall fabulous experience. We celebrated our daughter’s bday and made an early dinner so we can enjoy a leisure return to the bay area. We were 30 min early so we hop in for the happy hour and enjoyed limited tasty appetizers. Everything was delish.

Terrible food ever. We ordered urchin pasta, aglio olio and risotto. The taste was surprisingly subpar, oily, salty and sour. The environment and service were great.

Enjoyed a delicious dinner here before walking the town to enjoy the Christmas lights. The rockfish was outstanding!

What an amazing meal. The food was outrageously good — the trout toast was like tuna tartar on steroids, the corn fritters with roe were heaven, the sardines were the best we’ve had in napa, and the pizza crust was so fluffy and doughy. We also ordered a dozen oysters (good quality) and martinis which were great. So so delicious and will definitely go back! And really loved our waitress.
