"There’s something quintessentially Napa about the North Block hotel and its pristine, perpetually busy restaurant. Currently, executive chef Juan Cabrera is offering a 5-course Valley to Coast tasting menu for $90, which does not reinvent the wheel but rather does well-known staples extremely well — think spring pasta with morels and peas, abalone with passion fruit, and a NY strip with shallot marmalade. We love the margarita and the potato pizza with Point Reyes toma cheese and bacon, and we usually add in a chicory salad and a few of the excellent ribs, which you can order by the piece.
