This was our 4th visit to The Restaurant at RT Lodge. As always, the food and service was top tier! This has been our 1st choice for celebrating our anniversary for 4 years now! Already looking forward to visiting next year on our anniversary! If you have a special occasion or just want to treat someone to a nice place, this is a great choice!

We had a wonderful evening here, celebrating an early Valentine's Day. My husband enjoyed the mixed greens salad and the lodge fried chicken. He has now told me that when we have fried chicken at home, he will be asking for the hot sauce and honey as they serve it here. I was blown away by the beet salad. Truly, a gastronomical experience. Different flavors and textures that just work very well together. I also had the winter squash cannelloni and it too was delicious. Our server was wonderful amd everyone we met was gracious and welcoming. Thank you for an enjoyable evening, RT Lodge.

Completely obsessed with this hidden gem. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. Craft cocktails and food were perfect. This place is a vibe. We will definitely be back soon.

Google
Our experience at RT lodge was pretty good, but not fantastic. My chicken was delicious, but one of my party members did not like their short rib. The wine selection is pretty good. The servers did not come very often, and we had to wait a bit long for both food and other service. The atmosphere is fantastic, including beautiful decor, music, and a s’more fire outside. If you are looking for a similar atmosphere a better place is foodhills milling. Overall I feel like there are better places for the money, but it is definitely worth trying and is pretty good.

We arrived a few minutes early for a birthday dinner when our hostess told us our table was ready. When we inquired about possibly sitting outside, the hostess was quite dimissive and told us our table was upstairs. We accepted the table and asked if we could be seated and then walk around the garden and koi pand and were told that seating times were "sloted" implying that walking around was discouraged. Very disappointing start to the evening. There was a $25 corkage fee for our wine (which we knew) but that is by far the most expensive corkage fee in the area. The service manager stopped by first to fill our water glasses and was very gracious and made us feel welcome. The server was not quite as pleasant. The cheese plate app was good and the entrees were well-prepared. We brought our own cake but were charged a cake cutting fee of $20 with no warning! Stunning! Also, the bill included a mandatory 20% service fee (that you needed to review closely) or be fooled into thinking you needed to tip on the "tip" line. Our server was not knowledgeable about the ingrediants or the area when we made inquiries and we did not feel special as guests. All in all a ho-hum experience. We will think twice before coming back.

Google
A truly exceptional meal at RT Lodge! We celebrated a family birthday, came in to a hand written birthday card from staff. The staff were knowledgeable, kind, and prompt. The presentation of plates like the rolls and cheese board was top notch service. The tortelloni is something out of a dream and then the crime brûlée with plum compote just blew me away. The flavor profiles of each dish were complex and memorable. Not one complaint. 100% will be back and recommending to others.

Google
Top 3 best meals of all time. Exactly what you hope for with a lodge. The food was some of the best I have have had. The chef prepared all the food to a T, nothing over or under seasoned. The service was excellent. A great place for foodies. I suggest the charcuterie board, short ribs, and follow up with the bourbon pecan butterscotch cake and coffee. Dress code - we dressed up for an anniversary dinner and didn't feel overdressed, but you can wear a nice pair of jeans or resort wear.

Yelp
What a fun little restaurant seemingly tucked away in a college campus!! Felt like we were in the middle of no where with awesome decor, good food, and great staff. The s'mores outside after dinner were the best!!

Yelp
This is the place to go!! We live out in Hardin Valley but came out this way for dinner to celebrate our second anniversary. It was so romantic and special. I couldn't recommend this place enough. I would go again & again for any special occasion. The people there were attentive and kind. We really enjoyed everything. From the drinks, to the dinner, & dessert. 10/10

Yelp
We just finish one of the most amazing dinners we've had in this area of TN at the RT Lodge Restaurant. This place is special, you feel the charm since you step out of your car. The Food is incredible The chef is Top Notch every single plate was outstanding, don't skip dessert!! The service is out of this world amazing i'm not exaggerating when i say is perfect from start to finish from every small detail like the ladies welcoming you at the entrance and wishing you a good night and to visit again soon at end. Can't say enough good things about Charlie he attended us tonight and he is in another level of hospitality. Every suggestion from him was on point, he knows the menu from top to bottom he knows the ingredients the flavors the drinks Charlie is amazing!! I will hire him in a blink. We are so grateful he made our family time special. We can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Beautiful meal and the service was excellent. I can't wait to go back in the fall when the leaves are turning.

Yelp
I had to add the RT lodge to the restaurant category because I don't think folks need to miss this gem. You don't need to stay here to enjoy the restaurant. It was an absolutely perfect evening. This is the best place I have been all year. Perfect drinks, small plates, dinner and dessert.

Yelp
A local treasure. Incredible atmosphere, perhaps the best in Maryville. The new bar is excellent though you have to tip the bartenders in cash for some reason they don't let you tip on your bill... fix this please... the food is always perfect, unique, but familiar. A great place to celebrate or have a cozy date.

Yelp
The property is very nice with multiple fireplaces/firepits, s'mores qnd grounds. The food is great in the bar area and the rooms with fireplaces were excellent as well - we enjoyed some backgammon on a chilly afternoon. We were so happy initially when we arrived. The rooms are very quaint but walls are thin and the noise can be significant depending in the other guests. The downside is that the staff was rude and not helpful particularly when there was a noise issue. They seem to be more motivated by known guests with entitled behavior rather than all paying guests. We will not go back.

Yelp
We came here for a wedding and had an amazing time! We stayed for two nights. It was all decorated for Christmas and very cozy. The staff were super kind and friendly. It is the extra touches they they take the time to do that really makes a difference: the towels were fluffy, there was umbrellas out, water and coffee stations, s'mores by the fire, etc... The food we had for breakfast and during the wedding was all fantastic. The grounds are gorgeous! The only negative is that the rooms are not soundproofed at all. You can hear every conversation in the hallway, footsteps from above and even the people next door plugging their phone in the wall. You might want to bring ear plugs if you are not a heavy sleeper. Overall we had a fantastic time and we had a hard time leaving.

Yelp
As soon as we pulled into the parking lot, we knew we were in good hands. From the moment we walked in from outside, there was a lovely, woodsy feel that immediately relaxed us. We were greeted warmly and went to the bar for pre-dinner cocktails. Everything went smoothly and was calm; all of the staff was inviting and friendly. The transition into dinner was just as smooth with a lovely table and they surprised us with a card they'd signed for our anniversary! This made us feel so special and was very thoughtful. The food was amazing: they took such good care of us. This was likely my best restaurant experience ever. Food and service was top notch. The feel was perfect. Despite others being there, the space felt quiet and intimate. I've been wanting to leave this positive review for quite some time now, but I cannot recommend this restaurant enough. Wait staff? Food? Environment? Everything was perfect and makes you feel so appreciated. If you need a relaxing dinner, this is the place to go.

Yelp
RT Lodge is a little dream land tucked quietly away behind Maryville College. The moment you pull in the parking lot you know you have arrived at a unique place. If you go during the holidays, you are sure to fall in love with all the greenery and decor. It was so tastefully done. My mom and I wanted a night away from the hustle of the season, so I booked us a room on a Thursday night hoping this would provide the quiet get away we were looking for. We enjoyed our stay so much! The main lodge hase several large rooms downstairs for casual sitting that include large fireplaces, couches and plenty of small tables. This is perfect for sipping on their fresh brewed Vienna Coffee or tea while playing card games or reading a book. You will also find a full bar with fabulously painted green walls, friendly staff, and great garden views. I had the Old Fashioned and it was very well crafted. Upstairs in this space you will find the restaurant. While we did not eat dinner here, although I've heard its fabulous, we ate breakfast and enjoyed the quiet of the morning. The chef was cheery and kind and made sure we knew about the Gluten Free Sweet Bread feature of the day (Yum!). We stayed in the Wiley House in a two twin bed room with a garden view. The rooms were quite small, but we didn't need much. The walls are very thin, and we could hear pretty much everything in the hall and rooms around us. We loved the mattresses! We would have prefered a more firm pillow, but otherwise hte beds were wonderful. The decor of beds and the little touches of "Lodge" were so fun. The cream walls and stark white of the bathroom did take away from the cozy lodge vibes. I could tell someone there cares about smalls details which added such spacial touches, but it still felt like it was missing something more warm and cozy. RT Lodge has a fabulous history worth reading about and I am so excited for some of the updates that were shared with us. I have no doubt the new investors are going to do great things with the Lodge and property. They also host events such as coorporate parties, weddings, etc. It does seem like a perfect space for a company or staff retreat.

Yelp
The atmosphere was very nice and everyone was nice and friendly. But the food was very disappointing for me. I ordered the ribeye and it came out burnt. Actually charred. Not a good experience.
google avatar

Yelp
The chocolate torte was the best I have ever had, both in presentation and complexity of flavor. Instead of the typical slice, it is an inverted dome comprised of two layers of chocolate drizzled with a bourbon caramel sauce. Not too sweet! A dark chocolate wafer (?) topped with a perky scoop of ice cream balances on top. Fresh nutty cookies (?) surround it as well. Very rich, save room and split! Excellent strong coffee, even the decaf.

Yelp
Family in town and couldn't get reservations but they recently started serving a limited menu in the bar area so we decided to chance it. So glad we did. The grounds at the lodge are beautiful and on a fall afternoon we truly felt like we had stepped into the woods. Outdoor patios to enjoy drinks or gathering with friends on a beautiful day made the place even more inviting. Our dinner was on point and cocktails were well made. Can't wait to come back and enjoy the full menu in the dining room. Note they are often closed for events as they do host special occasions. The day we were there they were setting up. I would love to have an event here as it is magical.

Yelp
I would highly recommend RT Lodge! What a wonderful respite I had staying there for about 10 days. I live locally and had sold my house. Obviously a very stressful time... And my new house wasn't quite ready for me yet, so I had this window of time to sit somewhere and just relax. RT Lodge was the perfect choice. Since I was there for over a week I got to know the daytime and nighttime staff. Everyone couldn't be more friendly! It's so quiet and peaceful yet a convenient, in-town location! It's a hidden jewel. I tried to eat as many meals there as I could because the chef is clearly famous. What a treat that was, a much appreciated blessing. p.s. They have two buildings to choose from when you book a room. Both have their benefits. I chose the Walker house and it had a view overlooking the beautiful restaurant patio and large Koi pond. Just be prepared that it is a "rustico" hotel. I say that lovingly...No LED lights, lighting is by several lamps (all with a "bear" theme) around the room. A small TV, a simple sink and mirror, etc. The vibe is simple and log cabin-like. I felt like I got away from the race and busy-ness of the everyday! Thanks again to all the staff! Blessings

Yelp
We went to RT Lodge to celebrate a Birthday. It was a vary special evening, drinks in the lounge, dinner up stairs, service all was spot on. We will be back. If had any complaint is it is vary difficult to get in, I guess that is good thing, but it makes it difficult for a spur of the moment outing. Thank you you are a gem in the neighborhood

Yelp
This is only a restaurant for people staying at the lodge. It's not open to people just looking for a meal

Sam Z.

Yelp
The setting is one of the best in East Tennessee with well maintained and designed grounds and a wide variety of plants . The restaurant has a very comfortable feel and the service is excellent. The wait staff is attentive and eager to please. The food was to me, very pretentious, and seemed to lack taste , just a bunch of ingredients thrown together in " exciting " ways . I only went once three years ago so I hope they have found a cook that throws ingredients together in ways that truly taste good. The fireplaces were warm.

Yelp
The food was impeccable. Service was the best we've received in a very long time. We recommend the red fish, fried chicken, sweet corn soup and smore tart and blackberry & cream desert.

Robyn R.

Yelp
Beautiful grounds, lovely dinner, great place to socialize. Love it! You must plan ahead to eat in the dinning room, but there is always room in the bar area and the food, drinks and service were wonderful.

Yelp
Excellent food with an outstanding atmosphere... The outdoor space is the best, the fire pit with rocking chairs... the walking trails

Yelp
Wowza. This is an excellent retreat location. The guest rooms are small - particularly the bathrooms - but comfortable. The meeting rooms are terrific and the food is amazing. I would definitely recommend hosting an event here. The staff are helpful and friendly.

Yelp
This gorgeous hidden gem is perfect for a stay-cation. Tucked in the woods right next to maryville college, this breathtaking B&B features an amazing restaurant. You MUST eat here!! I enjoyed the smoked lamb shoulder and my husband had the steak. I think next visit we will try the pork schnitzel or steak for 2. The service was amazing, ambiance was calm and warm. I can not wait to come back. I think next time i will also book a room for the night!

Yelp
What a great experience! I'm so mad that we'd never visited RT Lodge earlier. You definitely need to make reservations, and one thing I ran into is that their weekends are often booked for weddings. So I made a reservation for a party of 4 a month or so in advance. First off, the grounds are stunningly gorgeous! One of my favorite parts was making s'mores around the large fire pit in back after dinner. Lots of rocking chairs and it was so relaxing! Our dinner was excellent as well. We started with a bottle of wine, a scallops appetizer, and a pimento cheese appetizer. All were given good reviews by our party. For dinner, I had the ribeye. I'm typically a fillet girl instead of ribeye, but I was pleasantly surprised with how good the ribeye was. One of our party got the gnocchi with grilled chicken added. She said it was very good, but I think she ended up wishing she'd gotten the ribeye also. Service was impeccable. The restaurant was fully booked, but never did any of the staff seem stressed or swamped. We'll definitely be back!

Yelp
This is the best restaurant in the greater Knoxville area. It is set in a beautiful wooded area on the edge of Maryville college. The bar looks out on a lovely courtyard with a koi pond. The dining room is upstairs with the tables widely spaced and is quiet. The service is excellent with a nice waitstaff. The food is exceptionally good with a small menu. Everything we tried was delicious. This is our new favorite for a special dinner.
google avatar

Gabby R.

Yelp
Easily my favorite restaurant in the Maryville/Knoxville area. I come here with my parents every time I visit them and am always so excited. Must haves on the menu are the fried chicken (don't skip the hot sauce), and make sure you ask if they have biscuits - I have a gluten sensitivity but will suffer the consequences every time for those biscuits (...and the fried chicken). I also love the overall ambience here, the service is fantastic & the restaurant is upscale without being stuffy or snobby. Really well done!

Yelp
I have been to RT Lodge many times for corporate retreats and have always enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance. We had dinner tonight to celebrate my father's birthday. Jody was our server and she was amazing! Attentive without being intrusive, great sense of humor, and impeccable timing of food delivery. Unfortunately, there was a large party that was obnoxious and loud but the staff was even apologetic about that. The food was fresh and flavorful, the wine list was well priced, the cocktails were fun. Overall an amazing experience, particularly for a special occasion!

Yelp
RT lodge is a hidden gem on the campus of Maryville College in Maryville. Upscale food and drinks in a gorgeous setting. It's surrounded by foliage and they have a beautiful coy pond. They even have a huge firepit where they offer complementary making for s'mores. The food is delicious! They offer bar bites in the lounge or you can dine upstairs in the dining room. When weather permits they also have outdoor dining. Trevor Stockton and team is creating amazing food.

Yelp
There aren't too many places in the Knoxville area I felt were special enough to celebrate a 10-year anniversary, but RT Lodge definitely fit the bill. My now husband and I stayed for a night and dined at the restaurant. The room is so cozy with the flannel carpeting and pillows -- perfect for fall or winter. It was initially a little cold in there, but we alerted staff and they took care of it. Our dinner was very nice -- the staff left us a little "happy anniversary" card which was so sweet and made us feel very special. We're vegetarian so we ordered the cheese board and beet salad to start and then split the risotto. While there aren't many vegetarian entree options, you can definitely put together a full meal between the apps and sides. Everything tasted good! I wish I had known we could've brought our own wine in as it would've helped reduce costs, hah, but next time. After dinner, we hung out downstairs in the lodge by the fire. In the morning we had breakfast which was light but still enjoyable. Overall, the perfect place to celebrate our anniversary and look forward to coming back!

Yelp
Stayed here recently on a recommendation from local friends when visiting the area. We really enjoyed our stay here, it was relaxing, casual, with friendly, attentive staff. It's soothing, woodsy location was not too far from the rest of the city. Nice alternative to a typical hotel that's right by a freeway. Also, encouraged that we didn't have to leave the lodge to enjoy high quality, delicious food at the restaurant for dinner or breakfast. The grounds were enjoyable to stroll around and for meditation spots. We also enjoyed the smores by the fireplace in the evenings and feeding the koi fish. The rooms and beds were a little on the tight side, but manageable for a few nights. Would like to come back and explore more of the area, and partake in the relaxing atmosphere, hospitality, and charm!

Yelp
The Lodge has a very relaxing atmosphere! Everything was extra clean! Excellent staff! We will be returning!!

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at RT Lodge on a cold night. It was warm and cozy with fireplaces burning inside and out. The staff make you feel like a true guest in their home and are incredibly accommodating. We started with the Walnut Sourdough and a Charcuterie Board. The bread was served with butter and sea salt, a confusing combination at first, but it was delicious. I ordered Gulf Shrimp and Grits which included Andouille Sausage and Green Tomato. The flavors together were surprisingly delicious! My husband ordered the Red Wine Braised Short Rib and he ate every bite. We will for sure be dining here again! Update! We did dine again and it was just as amazing as the first time. This time we started with the Crispy Chicken Skins and a bowl of the French Onion Soup. The chicken skins were spicy and served with a delicious honey butter for the perfect balance. For dinner, we opted for the Rib-Eye for two. This is 32 oz of 45 day aged rib eye and it was seasoned and cooked to perfection! It comes with roasted potatoes and glazed carrots. We finished by splitting the fried apple pie which was crispy and left you wanting your own portion. I highly recommend!

Yelp
We went to dinner tonight celebrate my 65th birthday. We were a party of 6 & three of us needed gluten-free. The pastry chef made my gf chocolate cake with an amazing creamy chocolate frosting, macadamia nuts and kosher salt in the middle! Amazing! We all ordered something different (salads, charcuterie boards, gf crackers, wine, etc.) and everyone raved about their food! The atmosphere was delightful and not like some restaurants that are so noisy! The staff was also very kind, professional and attentive. We felt like royalty! Highly recommend!

Yelp
As a business traveler this place is unlike any other I get to regularly experience. Brioche Cheese Rolls, French Onion soup, roasted beet salad with red yellow beets done 2 ways, with house made yogurt, strawberries, spring onions, peanut brittle. Cheese plate Loved every moment of my first visit, and I made it a point to return when I had another opportunity to experience the superb quality of the RT lodge and farm to table food. The burger was amazing! I will be dreaming about it since it was done perfectly with house made sauce, grilled onions, a delicious cheese mixture, pickles and the perfect bun. Did I mention that I loved every last bite?? It is apparent that there is a passion for quality ingredients and food here.

Yelp
Got to return after just finally getting here a few weeks ago. Similar lovely experience-- outside dining options are superb, and everything very safe, secure, etc. Different menu items this time and all that we had were excellent. Clearly just an exceptional place.

Yelp
There is just so much to love here! When you park your car you are welcomed by the most amazing smells of smoked meats and delicious food. Everywhere you walk there are beautiful natural sights and welcoming nooks. The first time I came to RT Lodge I was blown away by the staff's attentiveness and welcoming spirit. Not to mention to amazing food from Chef Trevor!!! By far my favorite chef. He has such a true passion for food. I've been back numerous times since then and it has become my home away from home. Next I want to visit during the fall. You must experience this jewel! Perfect for a few days away or a stunning wedding.

Yelp
After driving through 5 states to get here, we found paradise. What a great place to rest and relax and be treated like royalty. This lodge is rustic, clean and welcoming. The staff are sweet and charming. We brought our Black Lab with us and staff treated her like family. The grounds are meticulously manicured, the restaurant 5 star in my humble opinion and the food is fresh, perfectly prepared with locally grown products. We enjoyed our 3 day stay here while visiting the greater Knoxville area. Thank you to all the wonderful people who took such great care of us.

Yelp
My now-wife and I got married here in November and it was absolutely everything that we could have hoped for and more. * Location RT Lodge is situated super conveniently close to Knoxville Airport (about a 10 minute drive) but it feels like a world of its own. It's tucked back in the woods near Maryville College and is super quiet and peaceful. There is lots of outdoors space with a large koi pond in the back of the main lodge and we spend hours walking and exploring in the neighboring woods. * Lodging The rooms are super comfortable and are very much going for a rustic-chic vibe. They are on the smaller side but very comfortable with super soft beds and Ralph Lauren linens. For the wedding, this was perfect because with 57 rooms, everyone was able to stay on premises and I don't think I heard a single complaint about the rooms. In addition to the rooms there are a ton of nice common areas to stay. In the cooler weather, there are multiple fireplaces where you can curl up next to the fire, and in the warm weather the grounds are quite extensive. * Food Chef Trevor is incredible. The food here is really fantastic and far above what I had expected. For a normal stay, the restaurant is very nice, if a little pricey. Highlights include the fried chicken with homemade fermented jalapeno hot sauce and the homemade charcuterie with meat from the chef's family farm. For the wedding, they were incredibly accommodating to the variety of dietary needs and did a great job pleasing everyone in attendance. Trevor took ample time to sit with us and come up with a menu that we were excited about and went out of his way to suggest ways that we could accommodate the vegetarians and vegans in the group (we had BBQ for the rehearsal dinner, so not an easy task). And whether you're there for an event or just coming to the restaurant for dinner, every night you are invited to make s'mores by the firepit out behind the lodge. * Wedding Planning Ali and Phoebe were absolutely incredible when it came to actually planning the wedding. My wife and I weren't particularly interested in dealing with all the minutia, since we were quite busy, but they did a great job of planning everything on our behalf. From recommending vendors to asking for exactly what they needed from us, they really kept things moving in the right direction and pulled off an amazing event. We also appreciated their flexibility on the day of when we threw a couple of audibles and Ali took it in stride. * The Verdict Overall I'm certain that this will become a regular vacation spot for us. The staff is so friendly, the place is super comfortable, and the food is ridiculously good (as a couple who lives in NYC). Thank you to the staff for all the hard work and we're looking forward to our next trip.

Mikaela C.

Yelp
So cozy and inviting. This place is a true experience from start to end! Between the cozy fire, welcoming service and delicious food, RT Lodge will forever hold a special place in my heart!

Yelp
Yes, the place does not look like much. The China was beautiful however the atmosphere was akin to Cracker Barrel, nice wooden tables and a fireplace. However, my children(adults) ordered and shared what was supposed to be a 24 ounce ribeye $90 before the mandatory 20% tip. No way the steak weighed more than a pound before it was cooked. No telling what it weighed after that. I had the spare ribs $38. It consisted of 3 bites of meat, 3 small potatoes and 4 baby carrots. When the 5 of us left this restaurant after paying our $300 bill, we immediately went home and prepared our own dinner. The food was of adequate quality but there was absolutely nothing that warranted the price. I'm sorry but even my son's burger was not that exceptional. Very disappointed. I would and will enjoy three other meals in three other places of equal atmosphere and equal or higher quality.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining here with a group of girlfriends night and we had a lovely meal in a breathtaking setting. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the lodge itself is so cozy and inviting--I would love to spend a day curled up by one of the fireplaces with a good book! We began our meal with the pimento cheese that was served with crackers and pickles. The pimento cheese had a little too much pepper in my opinion. Next, I shared the ribeye for 2 with a friend. Our steak was perfectly cooked and it was served with generous portions of roasted potatoes and fresh summer veggies along with bournaise sauce and their house steak sauce that was amazing. For dessert I had the golden honey ice cream served with wet walnuts and a plum jam. The first bite of ice cream was delicious and sweet then it had a spicy after taste that I didn't love. After dinner we enjoyed complimentary Smores by the outdoor firepit.

Yelp
I spent a ton of time looking for a wedding venue, and RT Lodge was the only place I could find that checked all my boxes. Super accommodating staff, amazing food, flexible and willing to work with me to create exactly what I wanted, 57 guest rooms on site, beautiful property, close to an airport, activities to keep guests occupied, and more!!! The weekend was better than I even imagined it would be. We stayed and ate at RT Lodge twice before the wedding and the restaurant is amazing as are the guest rooms. The wedding food is the same as what you're served in the restaurant, and I can't even count the number of people who told me that the food was the best catering they've ever had in their lives. RT Lodge is the best!!! We can't wait to go back.

Yelp
RT Lodge is officially our new favorite place in Maryville! I can't believe we didn't find it until now! We were told the menu adjusts a little bit daily based on what fresh foods the restaurant is able to source and it didn't disappoint today. To start, we shared a tomato salad with fresh, pickled and fried green tomatoes sprinkled with goat feta that was better than I imagined it could be. We also tried the smoked trout dip with freshly made gourmet potato chips and it was equally awesome. Then came the entree!!! Quite possibly the best Ribeye I've ever had with a very light mushroom glaze, perfectly baked yellow potato's and delicately mint flavored vinaigrette spritzed fresh greens on the side. Easily one of my favorite meals in memory and we can't wait to come back and try some of the other options. The restaurant itself was really beautiful and worth a visit just to admire the building and grounds and the staff all seemed genuinely proud to discuss the building's heritage. Our server, Alandré (hope I spelled it correctly) was absolutely top shelf and made a really great meal into a fine dining experience that we can't wait to experience again. We really enjoyed all the staff's very positive energy and how well they expressed their happiness to serve our table. Really great people, amazing flavors and a beautiful restaurant!

Yelp
Ok so this place is beautiful. You really do feel like you're staying in a mini resort. The only issue I had, which was not the staff's fault, were the people staying above us. If you do choose to book a room, I highly recommended getting one on the second floor. This is not a hotel, this is a lodge. So you will hear every single step the people above you take. We were up half the night because of this. Other than that, our stay was great.

Yelp
A must see! This place is quintessential East Tennessee. From cozy lodges similar to a bed and breakfast to fire pits ripe with s'more essentials. The staff is the friendliest I have come across in the area with a real southern charm. There is also a koi pond in the back which just adds to the ambiance. The restaurant is delicious and quaint. The food is unbelievably good. Just be aware the the menu is limited and prices are a bit high. Having said that, I will definitely be dining here again.

Yelp
Beautiful, great service and amazing food!!! We got the burger (amazing) the pork schnitzel which I will crave forever. The fried chicken was ok but nothing super special. Mom loved the scallops. The chicken pastry was kinda dry. Key lime dessert delicious and cream cheese ice cream - wow!!!

Yelp
This place is incredible - the food will blow your mind. I stayed there all the time years ago for work and it seriously could not be better. I still miss the food and the atmosphere.

Yelp
Very good food. Amazing surroundings and lovely dining room. Service was good, not great. Only misstep was the foie gras torchon...had a funky strong, bitter taste. But things got much better with Green Tomato "Pie", awesome Fried Chicken (with Homey and House made Hot Sauce on the side), charred Okra w/peanuts, and Pan roasted Red Fish with Tomato Gravy, Carolina Rice, and Ramp Chow-Chow.

Yelp
We're currently here for a family wedding. The property is beautiful, the rooms have a modern cabin vibe to them. We're staying in the Wiley building and I am completely blown away by Miss Carla the house keeper. She brought us a mini fridge since my daughter is still breast feeding. She definitely has true southern hospitality. She has gone out of her way every single time she sees us to ask if there's anything we need. She has also kept a close eye on our family here and done the same for them. To be completely honest this review is pretty much for her. We would definitely revisit the property just for her attention to detail and kindness.
