The Shelborne By Proper

The Shelborne is a fabulous hotel. I stayed in the accessible partial ocean double room and it was clean spacious and perfect for my two friends and I. We had an amazing time during our 3 day stay. The beach chairs were so comfy and service was 5-star level from the valet and front desk staff, to those who worked at the pool and the beach. Everyone was so nice, professional and accommodating. A huge thank you to Will, Guillermo, and Jenny for welcoming me when I arrived. I will definitely stay at this hotel again when I’m back in Miami.

From the moment I arrived, The Shelborne felt truly special. The design is elegant and modern, yet cozy, with thoughtful details everywhere. My ocean-view room was spacious and comfortable, the perfect place to relax and recharge.||The dining experience was the highlight of my stay. Their Miami Spice menu, inspired by Caribbean fusion, was creative and full of flavor. Every dish felt unique — refined yet vibrant, and made with natural oils that elevate the freshness. The sea bass with aji amarillo stood out as something unforgettable, delicate and bold all at once.||I also loved the wellness aspect of the hotel. Starting the day with Pilates and yoga, enjoying matcha at the café, and spending afternoons by the pool surrounded by tropical greenery created the perfect balance of relaxation and energy.||The staff was always kind and attentive, and room service was incredibly quick. It’s clear that every part of the experience here is designed with care.||Overall, The Shelborne is oceanfront, chic, and simply stunning. A place that blends wellness, design, and Caribbean-inspired flavors beautifully — and one I can’t wait to come back to

Our family stay at the Shelborne was nothing short of amazing! From the start, the staff made us feel like honored guests. Jonathon from front desk was helpful and Adrian, the bellman, was wonderful and so helpful with our bags. My daughter’s face lit up when he gave her a ride on the luggage cart. A simple but unforgettable gesture that showed how much they truly care about families. Even hospitable by offering us waters before we checked out for the drive back home.||We spent a lot of time by the pool, and Gregorio, Laura, and Isabella were beyond attentive. They checked on us often and even brought by fruit and cocktail samples that felt like such a treat. At the restaurant, Martha and Johvanna were lovely, making dining with a toddler easy and enjoyable.||But the person who left the biggest impression on us was Chef Luis. He went out of his way to make pancakes just for my daughter, brought her milk for nap / bedtime, and even surprised her with the sweetest manatee plush wearing a Shelborne t-shirt named Shelly! That thoughtful gift made her entire trip, and as a mom, I can’t tell you how much it meant to me.||A huge thank you also to Crispy and Bryson, and to the whole team that made sure everything was taken care of. The Shelborne exceeded all expectations - the warmth, care, and genuine hospitality here are unmatched. This will forever be one of our favorite stays in Miami Beach!

Arrived for lunch, hostess helped me with the menu. I asked for the Miami Spice menu, but decided the regular menu. Maria (she was to be busy later) gave me excellent service. And told me about special pricing during Happy Hour. I ordered the Jerk Burger, Fries, and Key Lime Trembleque. The buns needed a bit more time on the grill, to give it the extra crisp. The Fries, good portions yet despite wanting to finished it all. I couldn't, it had too much seasoning. Key Lime Trembleque, unique dessert with coconut sorbet. Presentation, it will better to service the burger & fries together, if ordered. I noticed rosegold likeness & renovations made. Visit dedicated to my then German American ex girlfriend who looks like Lagertha from a vikings tv show. Cue in the song The Lady in Red by Chris de Burgh. And song Lose My Mind by Don Toliver (feat. We recently stayed at the Shelborne and loved it! The hotel is a beautiful art deco delight with soaring ceilings in the lobby and very nicely appointed. Our room was spacious with an amazing ocean view and view of the very elegant pool area. They kept the original deco design high dive as the centerpiece so it has a great vibe to it. If you want the ocean, it is steps away and they offer lounge chairs and umbrellas as well. The staff was amazingly gracious and helpful and the location is perfect for walking around Miami. I would highly recommend this hotel!

From the moment we stepped into the Shelborne, we felt so welcomed. Adrian, the bellman, greeted us right away and went above and beyond to help with our luggage. My 3-year-old niece was instantly spoiled when Adrian took her for a little ride on the luggage cart, such a thoughtful and fun touch! At checkout, Adrian even made sure our bags were taken straight to the car, making everything effortless.||By the pool, Gregorio and Isabella were incredible, attentive, friendly, and always making sure we had everything we needed. They even surprised us with samples of fresh fruit and cocktails, which felt like a true VIP experience. At the restaurant, Martha and Laura were equally gracious, making us feel cared for with every detail. Tanner at the beach also accommodated us and made the beach experience fun!||The highlight of our stay was Chef Luis. He made my niece feel so special, preparing her pancakes and milk with extra love and even gifting her a Shelborne manatee plush !! That kind of personal touch truly made us feel like family.||We also want to thank Crispy and Bryson, who were warm and attentive, and the whole team who made sure everything was seamless. We left with full hearts and can’t wait to come back. The Shelborne isn’t just a hotel, it’s an experience we’ll remember forever.

We absolutely loved our stay at The Shelborne! The service was magnificent from start to finish. Adrian at the front desk deserves a special mention—he was incredibly kind and helpful at all times. The pool area is fantastic, and the beach is just steps away with easy access to umbrellas and chairs, making it super convenient. The hotel has been newly remodeled, and you can truly feel the quality and care put into every detail. Couldn’t have asked for a better experience—highly recommend!

Rich with history on South Beach is the Shelborne Hotel by Proper. While we've frequented Miami over and over, this was our first stay at the Shelborne and let's just say it's the ONLY hotel we will go to moving forward. From style, to service, to staff, this place has everything you need for the perfect getaway. The rooms are charming all new features. The service is world class from room service, to front desk, to the pool / beach staff. All around incredible. Look out for the following individuals while you're there as they will see you have a great time: Bellhop / Bags: Adrian Front Desk: Jonathan Pool: Issa Beach: Andrew Dining / Room Service: Maria This is just to name a few, but ALL of the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating.
