The Shelborne By Proper

Rich with history on South Beach is the Shelborne Hotel by Proper. While we've frequented Miami over and over, this was our first stay at the Shelborne and let's just say it's the ONLY hotel we will go to moving forward. From style, to service, to staff, this place has everything you need for the perfect getaway. The rooms are charming all new features. The service is world class from room service, to front desk, to the pool / beach staff. All around incredible. Look out for the following individuals while you're there as they will see you have a great time: Bellhop / Bags: Adrian Front Desk: Jonathan Pool: Issa Beach: Andrew Dining / Room Service: Maria This is just to name a few, but ALL of the staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to visit Miami soon, only at the Shelborne.

Perfect location. Fully renovated in May2025. Excellent service. Great food and rooms. Fully renovated with excellent modern decor and intentional interior design. Rooms are spacious, clean and offer great ocean, garden or city views. Service is exceptional. Shout out to Adrian, who is running all things at lobby, greeting guests, giving excellent recommendations, problem solving, all with a great smile. Also, staff on the beach: Andrew and Alexander made sure our chairs, umbrellas were properly set and were very courteous and professional. Lastly, food was also excellent. Breakfast options are healthy and vast. Food at the beach is seafood based and very well served. Dinner at the lobby bar was delicious. They also have great wine list and cocktails. All in all, an excellent experience that we highly recommend.

We spent the last long weekend at The Shelborne By Proper. Proper’s latest hotel is fantastic. The design is beautiful and unique, the lobby area and bar have a pretty color palette and is all calming and relaxing. The pool area is laid out nicely, plenty of chairs and umbrellas with poolside food & beverage service. Proper’s portion of the beach with mint green umbrellas is just as nice (food & beverage options also). Our room was fabulous, we had a corner suite, very comfortable bed, linens, and pillows. The service, from top to bottom stood out to us - everyone was friendly and engaging, to the right degree. We are fans of the Proper brand and happy to see this added to the portfolio, we will be back.

We had a fantastic stay at the Shelborne by Proper. The decor and design of this hotel are truly beautiful and feel like home. The staff throughout the hotel were always friendly and ready to help with a smile. We enjoyed the daily happy hour at their bar after a day at the beach and pool. Housekeeping kept our room very clean. We also appreciated the attentiveness of the bellman, Adrian. Thank you for a great stay and we would definitely come back!

Just spent a few nights at Shelborne by Proper and it exceeded expectations. The location is perfect—right on the beach and walking distance to great restaurants and shops. The design is beautiful, with a mix of vintage charm and fresh, modern touches. Our room was bright, clean, and had a great view. Poolside service was attentive, and the overall vibe was fun but not chaotic. You can tell Proper has elevated the experience while keeping some of the hotel’s original character. Great spot for a stylish Miami Beach getaway.

Stayed here for my birthday weekend and had such a great experience! The location is perfect! Right on the beach and close to everything on Collins. The hotel has a stylish, vintage Miami vibe with modern touches. The pool was lively without feeling too crowded, and the beach access made everything super convenient. The staff was helpful, the room was clean, and the vibe overall was exactly what I needed… chill but upscale. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just want to soak up that Miami magic, the Shelborne is a solid choice. Would definitely come back.

Our stay at the Shelborne by Proper in Miami Beach was nothing short of spectacular. Everyone on staff went above and beyond to make our visit memorable. Nick especially went above and beyond, even giving us rides in the hotel’s Lotus to brunch and local sightseeing. The bartenders were top-tier. The cocktails easily rival those we’ve had at any high-end bars back home in NYC. Our favorites were the Reborn and Shelborne martinis. One of the bartenders even went out of his way to get me truffle fries. Happy hour is an absolute steal for the quality. The hotel has a relaxed, elegant vibe with beautifully curated spaces.Thoughtful touches like Aesop bath products and Supergoop sunscreen added to the luxury feel. The poolside experience was just as impressive. The staff was lovely and attentive. We highly recommend The Shelborne by Proper for anyone seeking a dreamy and memorable Miami Beach getaway.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at the Shelborne by proper Hotel, which just reopened. I was really impressed by how modern and fresh the hotel feels, it's hard to believe you're in original Miami Beach building. ||The check in process was super friendly and smooth. I was lucky enough to stay in a spacious one bedroom suite that offered stunning ocean views and TWO balconies. The room was clean and modern, and it truly felt luxurious.||A pleasant surprise was the Aesop bath amenities, which really added a nice touch. As someone who cares about health and wellness, I especially appreciated the complimentary Bloom electrolyte mix and drink in the minibar. The bed was incredibly comfortable, definitely a highlight of my visit!||The beach was so relaxing, providing a perfect escape from the busy South Beach scene. It felt like a little paradise. I have to say, the conch fritters were out of this world, the only other place I've felt such was in the Bahamas!||I didn’t get a chance to try the 24 hr gym during my stay, but I think it’s an amazing feature that I look forward to checking out next time.||I can confidently say I'll be returning to the Shelborne Hotel. It might just become my new favorite beach getaway!!!!
