The Shelby

The shelby is a new bar/lounge in the Beverly center area. Its competing with bars/lounges like "toca madera" and "the Phoenix ". It has a nice atmosphere, full disclosure, I was there on a Thursday evening. I mist happy hour, but they do have a unique happy hour menu item, $30 for a cheese board and a bottle of wine. I will surely be back to try that. The decor its sleek, up scale, lounge. They have a small patio area. A few TV's to catch some sport. A full bar, but limited beer. The food menu is normal bar and lounge, one thing I did find weird was the grilled chicken wings, which I must say I didnt try but didnt look tempting. I had the steak skewers, it was good, nice tender and juicy. The fry's was good, they give you a really good portion, enough for 2 or 3 people. I also had thier backed bread with butter and cheese. The cheese spread was very good. Delicious, had a spicy end to it. I will be back to try the happy hour with a group of friends. It's a place to at least check out.

An interesting upscale Gastropub with casual decor and somewhat high prices. The food here is good, which is the reason I came with the pal and together we had a couple salads and fairly tasty version of steak tartare. the food is a bit expensive the drink seem to be moderately priced and everyone there seemed to be having a good time. We went early but I imagine it gets fairly intense and the lady evening. Only problem with this place is is that parking is . Other than that enjoy the atmosphere and the open-air settings.

Last night I took my staff to this restaurant for our Christmas celebration. It was honestly the worst dining experience we have ever had. Too few staff were trying to cope but sitting with drinks for almost an hour and seeing no sign of an appetizer that we had ordered, we cancelled the rest of our food and left without eating!! Apparently there was no manager on site to talk to and only one chef in the kitchen with food orders backed up for an hour! Not a pleasant experience. The one star is for Naomi who worked really hard to manage a terrible situation.

This place is beautifully done and the food is outstanding! The owner Chad is great with customers. He stops by your table and makes sure you feel at home. The food is very diverse and delicious. A very nice crowd and upbeat vibe at this spot. I highly recommend you visit The Shelby.

I came here the night it opened and the experience I had then is the reason I have returned time and time again. It's a perfect place for a date or drinks with friends. The food is top notch and the decor is 👌. I highly recommend The Shelby!

Visited The Shelby a few weeks ago on a Friday night, and while we wanted really badly to like it I have to say that the dining experience left us disappointed. We might have gone on an off night, but service was slow, they were out of two regular menu dishes that we tried to order, and some of the food came out lukewarm. Any other night that we were not on a time crunch we probably would have sent at least one of the entree’s back. Not sure we’d be willing to try again.

I came for a drink but I stayed for the food! I ordered a Pisco Punch and Hanger steak sandwich, both were amazing! I was nervous about the fries since they were so thin but let me tell you they are so good.
