"I was doing a cooking show with Mr. Simpson. One of my managers in Jamaica put me onto him. We were there cooking together; he did some lobster with Jack Daniels sauce, and pumpkin rice and vegetables. I could not resist eating the food after. You know, when people cook on TV, they dispose of the food. Listen: when that episode comes out, you're gonna see that I ate the whole thing. He did not expect that, because the majority of the guests don't come and finish the food. That's how scrumptious the food was. After that, I ordered food from The Simpson: steamed fish and some curried lobster and the ackee and saltfish as well. It was really good. The bammy and the festival was pretty good, too—I like how they sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over it." - brennan carley

On 10/5/24 I went to this restaurant to celebrate my best Tracey Ann’s birthday and let me tell you. This place is the real deal when it comes to real authentic Jamaican cuisine.Please don’t hesitate to dine at this restaurant, the service was amazing and our servers were amazingly pleasant and friendly. Diamond and Omar make sure our experience was impeccable, the food tastes great and full of flavor also the presentation of the food was absolutely fantastic. Kudos to the amazing staff at Simpsons, I will definitely be coming back.

One of the best Caribbean spot in Brooklyn. Visiting our family in NY, we saw a review on social and decided to go, did not disappoint, from the warm and welcoming atmosphere to a fantastic service, great attention to details, attentive, fast, and well organized sums up our server Dorothy. One of the owners K (Boss Lady) came over to greet us, one of the nicest person you could ever meet, being from Toronto and BC, great change to the service of similar establishments, oxtails was fantastic, fish and lobster was great! Jerk pork could use some more spices for my taste, would love to see home made hot sauce on the side. As a chef for over 20 years please listen to when I say RUN, Don’t WALK

This is a really good restaurant. A very good Jamaican restaurant at that. The atmosphere was also great, and the food was tremendous. Before you go, make sure you have a reservation; you can walk in, but the wait time will be long because of space due to the popularity. This was my second time visiting in the past 2 years. 100% will go again.

Food was SUPERB!! A+++++++Absolutely DELICIOUS. Real Authentic Jamaican cooking. The BEST yet. EVERYTHING was GREAT. The food, ambiance and the service were EXCELLENT. Mom and I had our birthday celebration last night with our loved ones and we had a SPECTACULAR time! BIG UP to Chris the manager who is a delight. THANK YOU all for accommodating us and making our night Special. Everyone should definitely take a stroll to The Simpsons, YOU WONT REGRET IT!!

The food is not given as advertised. I was very disappointed in the food quality and customer service. The drinks are overpriced and they charge extra for flavors that come with the drink. Price gauging. Food definitely overpriced for the size and portions. I was so disappointed and after seeing how much they over charged my party I was left hungry and upset. Definitely not coming back until this establishment is fixed . And to make matters worse even the noise level was extremely loud and ratchet. Definitely didn’t expect this.

It’s been a minute since I returned to my old home, Brooklyn. Happy to see the performance at Barclays, I made a pit-stop at Simpson’s Restaurant. Sigh, they blew my high before the night could even start. Between the favoritism for those they are “familiar” with and 1/4 of the menu being unavailable, I was not amused. They were adamant about not serving any customer who was not seated at the bar; fine. I separated from my friend and patiently waited for another chair to open up. My friend recognized there was a wide gap and asked if chair could be added, with the consent of the gentleman next to her. She was rebuffed with a hard no. However, security conveniently created a hole and added 2 seats at the bar for folks he seemingly knew. Not only that, another member of staff added another chair at another semi-congested area of the bar. In protest, we requested a chair AGAIN. Finally, a different staff member honored our request. I would hope that with all this strictness and “exclusivity” the menu would be A-1…. Anyway, they left much to be desired. Maybe I’ll patronize again in the future when I’m not fresh off a flight on a non-concert night and see if it’s just a bad day. As a full blood Jamaican, I support all things 🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲 but nah, I’m not feeling this one.

Spectacular occasion for my father’s birthday. Food was absolutely amazing. Service was extremely rapid, except the fact that they forgot my brother’s meal, but they made up for it by putting it on the house. 👏👏👏 Thank you to our waitress, Judine! 😀 P.S. The food is pricy but worth the price; Oxtail & Mac & Cheese…..Heaven! 🔥🔥🔥

Jamaican cuisine with creative twists that are so delicious. The food was fabulous, the drinks were amazing and the staff was super friendly. I tell everyone I know to check out this restaurant whenever they’re in town. We even met the owner and he was really chill and down to earth.
