The Spot has great food and is a fun place to stop in sit in your car if you like and eat.The double cheeseburgers were a big hit today!!! Very tasty and delicious 😋 Lot's of item's to choose from including large ice cream menu.The food is fresh and tasty 😋 We highly recommend!!

We stooped in late one night after work. This place was definitely a cool experience. No inside seating, walk up window or the will come to your car and hand a tray on your window. They dont take cards and there is a creepy closet with an ATM inside. Staff was very friendly and told us all about the menu. The good: homemade root beer and orange soda was absolutely 💯 delicious. We also had shakes for dessert which was on point! The bad[ish[, the burgers and fries are really nothing to write home about sadly. They are greasy ive had to much to drink burgers. If I was out partying all night this burger would be an awesome end to the night. Overall I would give it a 6 outta 10 because of the vibe and the root beer.

Overall, I wasn’t impressed. First, note that this location is cash-only. There is an on-site ATM available, but it charges standard transaction fees. When we arrived, the drive-in was nearly empty—only two other cars were present, with a third coming and going during our visit. Our order for three people was taken immediately, yet the food took an unexpectedly long time to come out. I can only comment on the items I ordered. The French fries had a nice batter or coating, but they were cut very thick, which left the inside mushy. They also lacked any seasoning, making them completely flavorless. I ordered a simple grilled cheese and was told ahead of time that it comes on a burger bun instead of regular bread. Despite the long wait, the bun appeared toasted but wasn’t crispy, and although there was plenty of cheese, it wasn’t melted. A few bites also had a beef flavor, suggesting it may have been cooked too close to—or immediately after—a burger. I would honestly recommend removing the grilled cheese from the menu rather than serving it in this form. Unfortunately, the experience didn’t meet expectations, and I wouldn’t return.

Our waitress was awesome. The food was awesome! As a fellow small business we love to support other local businesses around! We at Color cocktail factory could not say more positive words about this awesome drive in! The crispy shrimp were so fresh and hot and the cheeseburger was delicious! Keep up the great work!

Quick service taking our order. Burgers came shortly. They and the spicy green beans were very good. Waitress was very personable. Place would be excellent to visit on a summer evening when the car cruising is happening. Watch out if you're using Google maps to locate it as it gives confusing directions.

The food was very fresh and tasty. The employees come up to your car to attend you, which is cool. My milkshake was yummy but the straw was a little too thin. Only down side would be that they only accept cash but they do have an ATM in the building if you need to use it. 8/10 recommend!

Stopped by the SPOT Drive In to grab lunch while visiting the area. The lady who took our order appeared to be bothered with taking our order. She wasn’t mean or rude. Just appeared bothered. Not a friendly warm welcome or greeting. The food was good for the price. Was a bit disappointed that the fries were served without ketchup. (I guess we should have asked for it) and the chili was served without a utensil. I think it’s a cool and affordable place to grab a quick bite to eat. They only accept cash. No cards.

There cheeseburger was outstanding I can't wait to go back! Wish I could find somewhere like it closer to home

The burgers were good, had a vanilla malt and cheese curds, both of which were also good. Prices were great!! If you don't have cash, there's an ATM on premise. Friendly service.

Food is decently priced and there is a good variety of different items available to order. Every employee I have encountered has been friendly and the service is quick, even when busy. Overall, the food and drive-up element this establishment has makes the spot a staple "spot" of Kenosha.

Not sure the point of ordering ahead on the app if you're going to sit and wait over 20 minutes after the time the app stated. And then we got cheddar poppers instead of cream cheese ones. It took car hop almost 10 minutes to even come to our car. And now I remember why we hardly go!!

Such a cute spot to grab a bite. You pull up, park, they come out and take your order, bring your order, you pay, then you enjoy! My boyfriend and I got some mini corn dogs and a cheeseburger to share. The mini corn dogs were so yummy and crispy! They were not soggy in the middle but perfect! The cheeseburger hit the spot (no pun intended) but it was great! Nothing like a greasy cheeseburger to make you satisfied with a long work day. The cheeseburger was perfectly seasoned and the melted cheese was amazing. 10/10 would eat again.

My go to order is the wings fried hard along with the fries a drink and can't forgot the mozzarella sticks can't go wrong with the spot their customer service is always amazing love their night shift staff as well they are the best

The burgers were amazing, make sure to ask for the double cheese burger with grilled onions. It's an up charge but definitely takes the burger to another level. They also make home made root beer, and the floats were amazing. The floats come in a huge glass jug. The service is very quick. You will need cash to pay for your food as they do not accept credit cards. But they do have an ATM on site. This was my second time visiting, and it definitely will not be the last.

I ordered a root bear float with an extra scoop of ice cream and paid extra for the 2nd scoop, just to get barely one scoop and then just a cup of root beer with basically milk

Just the best old fashioned burgers I've had in a long time. Great fries too. We've only been here from Illinois 1 month and I think we've been there 5 times. Great food and fast service. Plus it's 5 blocks from our house.

This food is fun. It is very crowded people flock here. The hamburgers are juicy and yummy I forgot to take pictures I had take out so not sure of the Ambiance I will try other items a different time .

Shitty customer service. Didn't mention that the atm machine wasn't working so wasted our time to tell us after the food was made (40 minutes of waiting) that they don't accept cash and she claim there was a bar next door so I walked the whole block and didn't see a bar. They need to train there staff better because that's who is representing there brand. Be better.

Service is often very slow. Expect to spend at least 25 minutes waiting for your food. Excellent tasting veggie burgers, shakes, house made rootbeer, and dessert.

I'll start by saying I love a drive-in, so I was excited about this place to begin with. Arriving at The Spot, though, my boyfriend and I were initially confused. We parked on the side of the restaurant, unsure if they would come to us or if we should come to them? We sat in our car for just under 10 minutes with no sign of human life before debating walking up to the window. They already had signs up to designate "Spot Drive-In Parking Only," so maybe throwing up a "Stay in your car, we'll come to you" addition would be convenient. We ordered Bacon Cheeseburgers, Mozzarella Sticks, Fries with Cheese Sauce, and of course the Root Beer. It was a "treat yourself" kind of day, clearly. The cheeseburgers were delicious and exactly what we were expecting from a homey drive-in--greasy and satisfying. The mozzarella sticks were your typical frozen bulk and deep fried sticks, but I am not above a deep fried delight so they still hit the spot. The fries were not showstoppers in the slightest but the cheese sauce helped. The root beer was stellar. It comes in a massive frozen mug which was exciting until we realized vehicle cup holders are not meant for such a chalice. We paid $20 for the whole meal, so it's a pretty decent choice for a cheap date. Also important to know before heading here, they are cash only!! Luckily, they have an ATM so people who don't normally carry cash (aka me) can still enjoy.

Cute little drive in. Great cheap food. I loved it, exactly what you expect from a drive in. Food was fresh and delicious, I stuck with the basics. Tons of options on the menu too, I wish I would've tried one of their deserts! If you're looking for some drive in eats, this is a great spot for it!

This place has incredible cheeseburgers. I suggest get it with their "everything"--- raw onions, ketchup, mustard and pickles. It's simply perfection. It was our first time there so we didn't know if we were supposed to order in the front of the restaurant, but when I approached the front, the one-and-only server tells me "I'll come to you." So within just a few minutes she came to our car and took our order. The wait was not long for our cheeseburgers, fries and root beer whirl. Be sure to have cash, as no cards are accepted. As stated previously, the cheeseburgers are tremendous! I was impressed that even though we didn't order it that way, the fries were nice and crispy. A root beer whirl is basically root beer blended with soft serve. Next time I'd probably get a regular root beer float instead. Love The Spot's custom logo wrappers and paper cups!! Well done!

I love this place has great food good prices and great hospitality I go there a lot and the people have been such great friendly, the food I enjoy and I enjoy the fact that they are open late

The family shrimp basket is always good and I usually get it with the cheese curds which are also good the only problem is it's gotten a lot more expensive as of late

The food here is phenomenal. The service was very fast and our server was polite. Ambiance was busy but not too busy. Got a burger and curds and it was amazing. Root beer in a glass mug was kind of concerning but worked out fine. Overall nice place

Burgers are top notch, consistently good, and love the curds. If you're eating there get the frosted mug root-beer.

Man this pains me so much to do but it needs to be said. The spot is not what it once was anymore... Fries changed to a cheaper garbage brand, burgers are different as well. It seems like the owners want to save money and cut corners by using cheaper less quality product. Growing up on this place and a customer of thirty years I won't be going back. Since Covid the ten plus times we've been there it seems to be a little worse each time. Last time was the final time for me. Make the food like you used to if you can't live up to the name and quality just sell to someone who can bring it back to what it was before.

After a brief stop at the nearby outlet mall, I had time for lunch in Kenosha and wanted to stop someplace I hadn't been to before. The Spot Drive-in fit that bill. My order consisted of a plain double cheeseburger, fries, and a peppermint shake. My first disappointment came when I was told that their soda machine was down. I saw online that they make their own root beer and was looking forward to trying that. The person taking my order said that it very rarely goes down, but being told that didn't really help me on this visit. The peppermint shake that I ordered instead of their root beer had multiple issues. As you can see in the pictures I provided, the shake was basically devoid of peppermint. I found a couple large chunks at the bottom when I finished it, but for the most part all I could see and taste was plain custard, even with consistently stirring it around. Part of the reason I had to stir it around was it was far too thick to drink without trying to soften it up. The fries were sad. I'm thankful that they gave me a very large portion cup of ketchup because the fries had no flavor and, as they came in my bag, they completely lacked salt. After I was done with my lunch I found a single packet of salt at the bottom of the bag. I really would have preferred they just salted the fries ahead of time, though I don't know if that would have made much of a difference just like the one salt packet would have had I noticed it ahead of time. When I opened up the burger wrapper my first impression was "wow, that looks like a mess." Fortunately, the burger was pretty decent tasting. Even so, $5.59 for that particular burger is more than I personally would pay again. I guess the one good thing I can take from this visit is that I don't need to stop again and I can try other places I have bookmarked the next time I'm in Kenosha.

If you love burgers and fries this is one of the best of the best if not better than the best!! The burger was freshly made and you could tell it was hand pressed just before it hit the grill. The bacon was real and not one of the fast food style. Thick and crispy is the way I like it. The French fries were really good as well! The one thing that I can add to make this an A++ is they make their own root beer and it comes in diet as well! If you have never been here, you must go out of your way and visit the establishment. You won't be disappointed at all!!

My last review is six years old and I want to tell you that nothing has changed. My bacon double cheeseburger was absolutely fantastic just like it's always been since I first started going here many years ago. The difference on this visit is I had the spicy fried green beans. They were fantastic as well with a nice kick. If you're like me and you want a cold beer with your burger you can go to the tavern next-door were they have takeout then go down to the Lakefront and find a little place to eat your fabulous burger with a cold one. Great old fashion place where you sit in your car and do the ordering and receiving and eating. The burgers here are one of my favorites out of any burger I've ever had ever. Eat one or two burgers there and bring home a few for later.

Great place -fun , eat in car , open late . Takes cards or cash . Sometimes busy , worth the wait .

Forgive my name I was a teenager when I made this account and don't know how to fix it, haha. But I've eaten here a few times. I personally am a very very picky eater, think about a toddler without the tantrums. I haven't had everything here, but I can tell you their bacon burgers, milkshakes, rootbeer, fries, motzs sticks and orange soda? SOOOOO YUMMY! (Keep in mind I eat all my burgers plain. So, I could care less about the lack of tomatoes and lettuce, but if that's a deal breaker...more for me! :) ) Also as some people have said: they don't take card here. But they forgot to say they do have an ATM! In the end, we're all human, and the world is having a hard time right now. But this place has managed to be a source of joy for me this year. :)

I've been coming to The Spot for over 25 years. Recently, I found myself in the neighborhood, at lunch time, and decided to pull in. I'm so glad I did. The place and the food hasn't changed a bit. I had a double cheeseburger with bacon...and of course...a root-beer. The burger was one of the best I've had in a loooong time! The root-beer is still homemade, and just as good as I remember. If you are looking for delicious food, and a little bit of Kenosha history - hit The Spot!

A Kenosha staple for more years than I can remember! This place is another must see! Their cheeseburgers are out of this world. Add to that pepper rings and a root beer whirl and you'll be in heaven!!! Just stay away from Ron's Place!

No glitz no glamor just great drive in food. Order from your car and eat or take it to go, doesn't get any more basic then that. Great burgers & frys, onion rings were soft & soggy. Fantastic Rootbeer!

The spot has delivered since I was a child. I prefer the spot over big star. The double bacon cheeseburger is what I always order

I ordered a steak sandwich, mozzarella sticks, mushrooms, 2 hot dogs, mini tacos,and cheese cake . I received a burger instead of steak sandwich, mozzarella sticks, mushroom l, and mini tacos were cold and when I went to pull the cheesecake out of bag I had a pool of water spill out all over my lap... there was water in my nieces cheesecake. Second time I've been disappointed but this was a disaster!

Great place for burgers! Unfortunately they only take cash, but they do have an ATM located there. No complaints, everyone there loves their job!!

We as a family we really love this place everything is perfect except they don't except card only cash

I drive by and see this place crowded with cars. So finally I decided to see what all the excitement was about. So I ordered fries, double steak sandwich and a shake. My son ordered the double cheeseburger and a shake The best part of the meal was my Shake.The Steak sandwich was awful it was like a knock off version of White Castle burgers. It's a steak patty burger not a real steak sandwich, like the ones you can get in Chicago. No flavor no real toppings. Fries were cold. My son's order was the same disappointment. Sadly I will not go back and will not recommend.

Just what the name says...The Spot! Great Drive In with the terrific root beer too. Cheese burger, fries and a root beer hit the spot. All exactly the way they should be...hot, tasty and delivered with a smile.

The best cheeseburger and root beer in the area. Car Hops are mostly excellent. My wife likes me to stop by and bring chicken wings home. Fried just right

Prices are really affordable! Atmosphere brings you back to slower times where you just sat back and enjoyed the food and company you were with! The food was delicious and satisfying! I would definitely come back and recommend to my friends from out of town

The food was so good! The burger reminded me of a smash burger. Their fries and milkshake were delicious. The server comes up to your window to take your order, get the cash, and brings you your order. Giving it 4 stars out of 5 because it only takes cash, but there is an ATM on site!

This place is great food for a excellent price! The bacon burger OMG so freaking good with huge pieces of bacon on it! I'm so impressed with the flavor taste and quality! Don't skip out on the root beer either, they made their own from scratch and it is sooooo good! Onion rings were crispy and had that fair flavor I love! So happy I did my research and found this place while exploring Wisconsin! This place has to be a staple for this town because it was crowded but service was still very fast! One ladies car even died in the parking lot and the waitress was on it she pulled out jumper cables and within no time she was back up and running. Excellent excellent excellent place to get a bite to eat! I highly recommend!

Found myself in Kenosha and many seemed to recommend "The Spot" as the place to get a burger. After visiting, I believe many of those reviews are nostalgia based. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just doesn't hold that sentimental home town appeal for an outsider. A definite old school drive-in restaurant. Heck, you even order right from your car and they bring the food out to you. The place certainly has that classic feel about it. I had a basic burger. The burger had good flavor and was better than a typical fast food patty. My disappointment came from the burger costing $2.89 and not being any bigger than that typical fast food patty. I guess I've become accustomed to these old fashioned type places offering a little larger of a burger. Nothing special about the fries. At least there was an amount appropriate to the price. I had a large soda and that too seemed more like what would be a medium size anywhere else. The Stop didn't have bad food, it just didn't hold enough appeal for me to want to stop again. They did have a pretty large menu of typical fried offerings, including a perch fish fry. Maybe my review would be different if I ordered something other than a basic burger.
