Sterling Food Hall - Review - Loop - Chicago - The Infatuation

"Sterling Food Hall is a large and spacious food hall in the Loop with a cafe, bar, and large tables that are perfect if you need to sit around and spend some time with your laptop. But the real reason to swing by is for their great selection of food stalls. They have 14 to choose from, but some of our favorites are 82 Kimbap for excellent Korean rice rolls, Pizza Dada for delicious NY-Style slices, and Fat Shallot for sandwiches." - John Ringor

Art of Dosa to Close at Sterling Food Hall | Eater Chicago

"Formerly known as Revival Food Hall, this Loop venue has been navigating a precarious stretch marked by rumors of closure, a handoff to new operators at STHRN Hospitality, and a rebrand that created a choppy transition for vendors. Management says Art of Dosa declined to extend its lease, and they’re bringing in Saffron Street — an Indian concept with a stall at From Here On that isn’t purely vegetarian but could satisfy an itch for South Asian cuisine — alongside a new pizzeria from the owners of Danke. Over the years the hall has cycled through multiple pizza concepts, from Union Squared to Steve Dolinsky’s Pizza City USA rotation to, most recently, Dimo’s, and it was unable to bring over Umamicue, a Vietnamese-inspired smoked meats operation." - Ashok Selvam

"An indoor food-hall venue used by truck operators to reach customers without dealing with the city’s parking and permitting obstacles, cited as one of the outlets that helped a mobile vendor expand into more permanent operations." - Ximena N. Beltran Quan Kiu

Umamicue Cancels Plans for a Downtown Food Hall Location | Eater Chicago

"A Loop food hall that changed operators in summer 2024 has been hampered by slow timelines and equipment procurement problems under its new management, eroding trust among prospective tenants. New operators acknowledged failures around sourcing and installing necessary equipment for incoming vendors, and the hall lost at least one predecessor and missed opportunities to resolve disputes over critical pieces of gear. Those operational hiccups, combined with a wider decline in downtown office foot traffic and a slow approval process tied to building ownership, have made the location less attractive to some vendors." - Ashok Selvam
